This mall was ducked off —to us. But it was big and vibrant and got great lighting in there it’s a lot of stores the place was nice to walk into we seen victoria secret which has a sale right now and ray ban and h&m there were a lot more other stores like jewelry and clothing —there was a discount store there very discounted it seemed like a lot of people knew about it and went there it was decent about if people in there not crazy packed though. Great shopping experience i got a book from a book store “Barbara bookstore” GREAT selections.

The play center inside Yorktown has a large mostly fenced in play area for ages 1-8ish. It has a climbing feature with a tunnel and enclosed slide that kept my 4-yr-old entertained for at least 30 min solid, and my 1-yr-old enjoyed toddling around and climbing on things. They have carts for rent nearby too, and some rides for $2 each (nothing fancy, just a plane and car that moves a little while in place). The playground is free! Park next to the Honey Berry restaurant for a quick walk.

Nice indoor mall in Yorktown. Many big and small department stores at the mall like Marshall's, JC Penney and H&M. It had an indoor kids play area which is a big draw for folks with little kids especially in the winter months of Chicago. Large food court with several different options. There are many benches and chairs to sit, but I think then a few more of them.

The cutest mall in the suburbs we've experienced in such a long time! We go to a good amount of malls with 3 kiddos and this one was really neat. Great stores, good variety, very clean, and cute decor. Love all the dogs! Live Funflatables too!

Google
so much!! so little time!! the shopping! the food! Yorktown Center has everything to offer and is so close to home!! Keep your family entertained, enthused and ready for more while you explore all the great locations in this mall! We have seem Stratford diminish, Woodfield become Beverly Hills, and it's so wonderful to see this mall thriving as is without much change needed!! We will be back before the next holiday season!

It was my first time visiting this place. Inside it was very clean and nice variety of shops. Secure place to walk, shop and dine. The parking is perfectly organized and efficient. It’s a good place to spend time and buy perfect clothes. Wasn’t a lot of people there. I will definitely recommend this beautiful shopping center!

I understand the outside is under construction, but they're making parking difficult for people that need to use handicap spots. Less parking spots. You drive in one lane, but you have to backup the entire lane to get out while risking having an accident. You're going backwards trying to get out while others are going forward looking for a parking spot. My husband had to help an elderly woman back her car up to get out the parking lot because she was afraid. The construction guys were just standing around laughing and talking. RIDICULOUS! I got it all on my cell phone. You cannot have someone drive into a parking lot/spot and back out when it's one way and worry about having an accident. If anyone needs a picture or video of this mess please reach out.

Workers were very efficient when cleaning up when needed! Kids had a blast and we are already planning our next visit:)

Yelp
Been going to this mall since the 1990's. Vendors are professional. Management is very friendly and security is very great. So much nostalgia. Every time I see the Von Maur with the Christmas tree I feel I am in Upper-state Manhattan in the 1920s. So much tradition and timeless passion invested into the community of Lombard, Illinois. The added touch down memory lane was seeing the Marshall Field gift shop at the basement level. Terrific selection of food court, designer fashion, boutique and great value. Whenever you in the neighborhood visit here you wouldn't believe how amazing this place is and when you compare the value here versus other places this will strike an accord having you return. Cost is generally midrange some times there are deals but it's an investment to your happiness.

Yelp
A lot of stores are closing here. There are a lot of vacant stores and a lot of mom and Pop no name unfamiliar name stores and I have a feeling that this might be heading the way of Stratford eventually they closed the Paul Mitchell beauty school in here. The gap closed in here sometime ago, of course Carson is gone. They're demolishing that part of it to make it apartments. Yeah they have a Dave & Buster's and some restaurants around there, but I don't think that's gonna save the mall. There's too many vacancies and too many no-name stores and that's exactly what happened to Stratford before it started going downhill and I have the same vibe here I'd gone to Stratford all the time and never there's no reason for me to go here besides Victoria's Secret store or maybe Marshall's I don't understand why it's so crowded. There's not really a draw here. I don't think Von Mar is that popular. Yes, there is a JCPenney still here and a gym Parking is still excessively difficult

Yelp
My husband and I went to Yorktown Center to meet up with a friend for breakfast. We ate at Honey Berry Cafe. After we had breakfast, we decided to go to Gloria Jean's for coffee. On the way, we passed by the Eatery. After we had our coffee, we walked around the mall for a bit. On our walk, we passed by many Christmas decorations. We went to JCPenny, Last Chance, and Von Maur and did some Christmas shopping. I stopped at one bathroom near the big Christmas tree, and as soon as I opened the door, I was disgusted beyond belief. Thanks to Yorktown Center for providing a fun day.

Yelp
ALL THE MALL THINGS Yorktown Center sure has changed a lot since I was a kid. Writing this review gets me all nostalgic and a bit teary-eyed. I came here a LOT growing up in the 1990's and early 2000's, with scores of memories formed while walking around the mall, visiting the various shops and engaging in some light mischief. JC Pennys and Von Maur remain the anchor stores, though over the years Yorktown has added a Marshalls and Forever 21 that each occupy a large space. Victoria Secret is still here, so are Yankee Candle, Lids, Hot Topic, Zumiez, and many others. Of course no mall would be complete without your one-stop shop for blacklight posters, sex toys and rubber dog poo.....the infamous Spencers. Hard to believe I once thought they were 'cool'. Back in '97 the corner of the 2nd floor foodcourt was home to the legendary Aladdin's Castle, an arcade chain that I pumped an insane number of tokens into. That place was awesome! These days the area is just additional seating & bathrooms, sadly. There IS a new age video arcade called The Game Show that's not technically inside the mall, but rather on the outskirts of it (admission is $15 for unlimited play). Seasonal displays were always a big draw for my family and I. Photo ops with the Easter Bunny and Santa became an annual tradition, and the gigantic tree lit up on the roof of the mall was more than just a symbol of the holidays, it was a beacon you could see for miles. Yorktown still decorates really well for Christmas, it's something definitely worth checking out in December. The foodcourt -- now called "The Eatery" -- has a mix of both old (Auntie Anne's, Panda Express, Sbarro, Sarku Japan, Cinnabon) and new (Burnin' Mouth Hot Chicken, Cilantro Taco Grill, Nori Sushi & Ramen, Charley's Philly Steaks). It's sleeker, brighter, and yes, modernized, but it's missing the eye-catching fountains and live trees of yore. Heck, a couple decades ago they had real birds flying around the atrium! I liked the old vibe way better, it felt much more alive than the sterilized dining space it is now. * TL;DR * Although it may be lacking the wide-open feel of Fox Valley Mall (Aurora) or Woodfield Mall (Schaumburg), Yorktown Center remains a solid place to walk around and do some casual shopping. It's true that the foodcourt's gotten the biggest facelift, but several other areas (including the façade out front) have received a makeover that makes this indoor mall look like it belongs the 21st century. I'll always remember the good ol' days, and that earns Yorktown some major points in my book.

Yelp
Poor experience today!!!! Went to the mall with my family and handicapped father-in-law to go to the food court only to find an Escalator and Elevator out of order!!!!! Not a good experience am for a handicapped, elderly person. Really need to do a better job and possibly post signage at your front door to notify customers before they enter. Not very thoughtful and not very good for other businesses in the mall.

Yelp
There are lots of stores here, and it seems to be busy no matter what time of day it is. Caution lots of entitled people here that will bump into you, not hold the door for you, or give you dirty looks in the parking lot. Other than that, large variety of stores to visit. Von Maur is way overpriced, and you can go 2 miles down the road to get it 30% cheaper. Very dog friendly mall, so beware if you're not a dog lover!!

Yelp
It's always a pleasure coming to the mall here. Great store selections, never overcrowded except when it's lunch and dinner time in the food court area, that can be quite hectic! Parking is plenty especially if you know where to park where not so many people enter through like the JCPenney side . The tree and Santa were already out, I fee its a little bit too early but it was nice to see. The only downfall is the mall is allowing people to bring their dogs, which I get in today's world people have emotional pets but it's getting out of hand. The dog right in front of me took a nice dump & I almost walked right into it, which would have been a problem if it had gotten on my shoes. People need to be more responsible with their dogs beforehand making sure they're going to the washroom before walking in the mall. This is now the second time this has occurred.

Yelp
We frequent Yorktown for several reasons: 1) They have a small section with an artificial lawn in which they would freshen up according to the seasonal changes and holidays. So far, we've seen displays for Valentine's Day, spring, fall, Halloween, and Christmas. They would even have games such as connect the dots and faux bricks for toddlers to play with. We can easily spend half an hour in that section. 2) They have updated a few new and appealing additions to their food selections, such as Molly's Cupcakes. We're hoping to give Burning Mouth Nashville Hot Chicken a try! 3) They open early for people to walk. This is particularly beneficial for us with young toddlers so we can arrive early before shoppers and enjoy the play area without a crowd.

Yelp
I remember when this mall very busy in the 1990's, however, it's a different time now. It seems, the owners are able to keep the anchor stores and added some great occupants such as the gym. The food court is limited with few restaurants. Overall, this mall is okay.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a very clean mall with a good selection of stores. It's pet friendly as I saw a number of pet owners walking with their dogs. There's a good assortment of restaurants in the food court and the surrounding area. It wasn't busy on a Sunday Boxing Week morning which made it a pleasant shopping experience.

Gayle G.

Yelp
Great shopping experience! New stores & restaurants, local mom and pop stores, and the best part is the mall is pet friendly! Plenty of parking and easy to navigate. Had a wonderful experience. #yestoyorktown

Yelp
This used to be such a very nice mall many years ago. Now it seems to have turned into a pitiful skeleton of its former being. We were looking for certain types of stores and they were listed as being at the small plus it was convenient to where we were headed. I randomly pulled in near an entrance that was between two different places to work out. The entrance was at the second floor level but you walked into an escalator going down immediately. I don't remember that but I probably entered through a different entrance. The mall used to seem so big but now it just seems so small. What seems to make it so much worse was all the stories that were closed when we walked in and kept closing hours before the mall was supposed to close. We passed a couple stores when we got there that I thought I'll stop and then on the way back out and walking back by them an hour before close and the entire end of the mall was closed up. Every store except the anchor store at the end and a second hand shop on the first floor. On the plus side we did get to go to Hot Topic even though it was such a tiny one and found a few things at Spencer's. I had thought to stop in Kay Jewelers but went to grab a bite to eat first and they were closed when I finished eating. Several of the places in the food court were closed with the most disappointing to me being Billy Goat which is what I had really wanted to try. There were only a couple choices if I didn't want to eat junk food and I randomly chose one. The one I didn't choose was in Nashville hot chicken place that just sounded really good. I was trying to avoid deep fried foods though. I ended up at the Cilantro Taco Grill. I had some of the best tacos I have had in a long time there. I'm glad I stopped. The mall might have been disappointing but it did have just a couple of bright spots in the day.

Yelp
If you own a dog, this will be your favorite place. They have no restrictions on them, they can freely be at the stores. The playground for kids are very nice, so relaxing to spend time as a family at this place.
google avatar

Brittany R.

Yelp
Once you have kids, you live in a mall. JK but I do feel like I am definitely frequenting malls more than I ever have in life due to having a toddler living in a winter climate. Visited this mall on a Friday night. It was surprisingly empty (hello where are the teens? or do teens not hang at the mall anymore). Its a pretty big mall with two levels and that go in multiple directions. We hung out in the free kids play area in the center of the mall where there is a huge climbing area and cushy ground to fall. Great if you need an activity for kids. When the free area became filled with older kids, we hit up Funflatables, a paid activity with a bunch of bouncy houses based on kid age ranges. This one was a lot of fun and our daughter didn't want to go. Lastly - because any review of a mall without commenting on the food court would be lacking, we did hit up the food court. It's on the 2nd level , kind of a hidden gem, and had SO many options. I was kind of shocked. There are also floor to ceiling windows that provide a view of the western suburb landscape which kind of gave it an airport , relaxed feel. Overall - loved this mall, the spaciousness, stores, food court and of course kids activities.

Yelp
Nice mall. Haven't been to Chicago area in 5 years. Nice collection of shops. Very clean mall.
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
Yorktown was a favorite place of mine to shop way back in my middle school and high school years. I hadn't been back in a long time since I no longer live in the area, but recently stopped by with family over the holidays. It was nice to see the mall is still alive without too many unoccupied stores. The holiday decorations were nice, and there seem to still be a good range of shops. They do seem to be struggling with staffing though like everywhere else. My dad needed a watch battery replaced and no one was around who could do that with no information available regarding when someone might be around. Anyway, it was nice to take a little nostalgic walk through this mall!
google avatar

Christy M.

Yelp
We specifically went to Yorktown Center for the play area for my son. The mall itself is a basic mall but it has all its anchor stores. The kids play area is on the ground floor near the movie theaters. I liked the play area because it is aimed at smaller children. My son was content to play there for over two hours. It was clean and it targeted actual skills. Since it was a younger crowd there was less rough play which I appreciated. When he had enough of the play area we went to the food court for dinner; standard pizza, Charley's (cheesesteak franchise), seafood, teriyaki options. There was also a Billy Goat Pub option but it was closed. I will definitely return specifically for the play area.

Yelp
I echo the sentiments of what other Yelpers have written about this mall. It's in a confusing spot as it's not super upscale, but it's not super discount either. It's quite large, but doesn't exactly exude that personality. The store selection is alright, but I prefer to mix seen in the Westfield malls instead. The most unique draw here is probably the food court. It covers all different styles of cuisine and offers better options than what I typically see in other malls. Prices are also surprisingly reasonable at these restaurants with big portion sizes offered. With JC Penny and Von Maur as the anchor stores, it's fewer than you'd expect from a mall this size. There is a Homegoods / Marshalls and Last Chance though to supplement these -- with a Target nearby. In doing this, the mall / shopping center appeals to everyone -- but for me it's not quite as good as the layout and choices of shopping centers in Vernon Hills. The style also doesn't appeal to me as much as the outlet malls in Pleasant Prarie, Aurora, or Rosemont. If I'm shopping nearby, I feel Oakbrook Center, Woodfield Mall, or Old Orchard provide a more interesting set of stores. Overall, large and covers all different varieties of shopping needs. But, I feel a modernization (outside of the food court) is needed to make this a more attractive shopping destination for me.
google avatar

Jose G.

Yelp
PET FRIENDLY! Love being able to bring our pup into an indoor mall. It's definitely a step down from Oakbrook's mall but I do really like this place. They have a good amount of stores and good quality. The stores themselves have a sticker/decal on the entrance to indicate if your pet is able to go into that specific store or not. There are more places that accept pets than don't so it doesn't both me much. And of course, they are not allowed in the food court section. It doesn't seem to get as busy so I really go make this my first stop when I got to hit a mall.
google avatar

Rigo B.

Yelp
People there are to rude.. I ordered a X-Large pizza and they give me a Medium.. and when I told them they're starte screaming inside the kitchen
google avatar

Kwality T.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite malls in the Chicagoland area. I really wouldn't go to any other malls besides the outlets. At Yorktown they always have pretty decent sales going on. They also have one of the best Food Courts also. If your in the area and need a quick moment to find a last minute gift I recommend you check them out.
google avatar

Karma M.

Yelp
Ah the mall experience of Sbarros when you thought that was great food as a kid and walking around aimlessly. This place doesn't dissappoint there. Then you can go to UFC gym and take it out in a fight if you are disappoint. Rear naked choke someone unconscious until they're a vegetable on life support, overhand right someone and give them permanent brain damage, or just TEAR off their limb with an armbar or legbar. Just keep it in the cage soonny! Now if only I could find a crowded mall in Cicero. I'll keep on exploring there
google avatar

Pamela P.

Yelp
The Mall itself is ok. BUT this review is based on what happen on Saturday 4/08/2023 I work a lot to provide for my family as so I was on Saturday I rushed home to pick up my family to tske my Grandson to visit the Easter Bunny we arrived at 7:25 and they shut down an hour earlier then all advertized material stated even a sign right infront of the que said til 8pm mall closes at 9 there were about 12-15 people who were also there doing the same thing. The woman incharge of photo company was very rude saying they were done and told us if we had complaints to file them with the company when asked her name she refused. Then for no reason called security and asked that people be removed. Kids were crying and belueve me she put in such an effort with her attitude that was very unnecessary they could have just done the 12 photos rather than stand there upsetting people they still would have left at the sa.e time but she wasted it being rude and causing a scene that was very unprofessional snd in no way warrented. She just wanted to leave early.
google avatar

A G.

Yelp
Went to Panda Express, they were super rude. Got 2 entree plates & 1 fortune cookie. Went to the Dunkin' Donuts I asked for a caramel craze iced latte at 7:30 PM they told me they had no coffee & then I see someone holding an iced coffee 5 minutes later from there. Went to Dippin Dots & tried to pay with 3 CARDS the guys machine wasn't working! This is why I don't go out anymore. Poor service is everywhere and no one wants to work! Very sad.

Yelp
Much like me, Yorktown's better looking days are distant and small in the rearview mirror. Also like myself, Yorktown gets a lot of shit. In my case it's mostly metaphorical though I do have one irresponsible neighbor who will not clean up after his dogs. In Yorktown's case, it's actual feces as they seem to allow dogs in but don't require owners to clean up after their dogs. So maybe less like me, and more like my front yard. I mean I would require everyone to clean after their dogs, but I don't have the power. Anyway, aside from the fecal problem, the mall has seen better days. This is, of course, a trend in the suburban mall across the continent, my last visit here was during the Pandemic and it just wasn't that hard to imagine the post-viral mall looking like the original "Dawn of the Dead" as the place seems already half dead. When I was young and living in Chicago it was oddly exciting to venture out to the lily-White suburbs for a foreign adventure and this mall was like the area code 708 mothership. It was like visiting the Marrakesh souk, a tourist must-see attraction in what amounted to a foreign country for actual Chicagoans. Today, it's still worth a visit as a tourist to a rapidly disappearing past. The lacuna that was once Carson Pirie Scott is especially melancholy. It's convenient if you need to buy something and you're staying in one of the many nearby hotels. It's still got a better than average food mall and although I'm not sure why, if you need to shop at a Von Maur's and JC Penney's in the same trip, these are the anchors (that are still in business). Cats and those allergic to dogs should avoid. Watch your step!
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
This is a nice indoor dog friendly mall and the reason why I come here often. If you are looking for a major department store like Macy's however, you won't find them here. No food establishments outside of desert places inside but some nice options directly outside the mall.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
4 starts for the discount Nordstrom's and the other stores in general. Haven't been back during the pandemic so not sure how it is. I must say I'm super shocked to read about the dog poop. I have a small dog and would consider bringing her occasionally. If I lived in the area. But dog owners who can't pick up after their pets give all owners a bad name. Gross! I'm sure it's the same people who don't pick up after their pet outside either.

Billie Jo M.

Yelp
I love Sbarro and it's always my first choice in a food court. Not this one. I almost didn't get a slice because the cheese was so skimpy (on plain cheese pizza). Greek salad was really small and 90% lettuce and very few of the goodies making it incredibly overpriced. Girl at register had a really bad attitude. I went to add parmesan to the skimpy cheese slice and this is the only jar on counter (see photo). How many times do you think they refilled the jar without washing it? So gross. Makes me wonder what else isn't up to code.

Yelp
It's been a long time since my daughter and I went out to the mall to have some fun. We went early to spend our whole day here. We haven't eaten yet and I decided to eat breakfast here in the food court or in the restaurant. My daughter wants to eat in the food court instead since she found a chocolate cake she likes. She enjoys eating it. After we ate we went to the play station for her to have some fun. She enjoys it very much. After that we went to the stores and bought dresses and toys for her. The dress was a little bit expensive but it's okay for me because she liked it and the fabric was comfortable for her. We enjoy our whole day here. My daughter is so happy.
google avatar

Bill U.

Yelp
My bad. Went on the afternoon on Black Friday and it looked like you might expect on Black Friday. Packed and a zoo.

Rose A.

Yelp
Yorktown Center is a good place for kids since there is a play area where they can exhibit their motor skills. The mall is also pet-friendly, you can bring your pet dogs or and play with them. Just be responsible pet owner. You can also try to watch some movies with your loved ones in the movie theaters. Also, there are some food stalls that you can count on when you are hungry. The department store is nice. The parking space is not too crowded. I will be recommending this place to my relatives and friends who likes shopping. Thank you very much for excellent service.

Yelp
I have to say I wasn't completely impressed by this mall. I know it is in a good area and surrounded by fantastic restaurants and shops. However, this mall falls a little short compared to some of the other malls I have been to, particularly, Orland Square Mall. There are barely any shops in this mall and most of them cost tons of money. Therefore, if you are trying to be thrifty, Kohls and maybe a couple others are the only places you can go to. Orland has a multitude of shops ranging from expensive to a little cheaper. I really enjoy that variety because I will get something if I can afford it. Perhaps this is because I am currently a struggling grad student, but I would prefer a greater option of shops. The inside and outside are beautiful. The inside may look a little bare, but that may be because I went at a time when it was dead. However, it is clean and just an enjoyable place to be around. The outside is also very pretty. There are restaurants within walking distance. The outside is gorgeous, so the workers must spend a lot of time on their break outside. Overall, a nice place for the area, but I'm glad I have a mall with more options closer to me.

Victoria R.

Yelp
I was sitting in the play place with my daughter she went in and out the play place 2 time then I see her getting pulled out by a mall cop and he said my daughter was to old for the play place mondo you she was 10 years old so she is young enough for the age recruitments so he called my daughter to tall and "big" I was furious just because she hit puberty a little early doesn't mean she is older then she is and that mall cop left my daughter in tears and I will NOT return to this mall WHAT so ever so I say stop and think before you assume that's why I give this ONE stars even tho I wish I could give it ZERO

Yelp
Yorktown is still a decent mall that holds a lot of sentimental value to me (as a small kid, I still remember the store "Madigan's" and the stuffed Bull/Bison/Deer heads on the walls). Over the years, like most anything else it has undergone a lot of changes and has tried to keep updated. The "outdoor portion" (quad area, or whatever you want to call it - upper floor, adjacent to the Forever 21 store) is pretty neat, there are a bunch of little restaurants/bars out there, a few high end stores and other shops situated around walk-ways, some fountains and parking spaces which has been a nice addition. This has been there give or take about 10 years, and adds some spice to the overall mall. Some things I don't like: - Solicitor kiosks and/or people situated all over the mall. They can become very annoying, sometimes even chasing people down. I understand this is their job and they are just trying to make a living, but I think there has to be a better policy for this. The average mall shopper doesn't come to a mall with the intent on listening to people try to sell roofs, windows, upgrading their home, or spine adjustments. We also can't forget the surveys in which you will be paid $7. I hate to think of what you would have to go thru to GET that $7... - How Von Maur remains in business - all 3 floors of it including hired piano players - baffles me. Sure it is a very nice store, but everything is VERY OVERPRICED, and I'd wager that anything you buy in this store can be found on ebay/amazon/online - delivered right to your door - for cheaper. Employees are very nice and impeccably dressed, but aside the bargain racks, there is no reason to pay these kind of prices. - You can't even tell Carson's was once there for decades - it was "bricked off" as if it never existed, the average person walking by wouldn't even know a huge anchor store once existed there. Carson's (also overpriced) somehow goes belly up, yet Von Maur (even more overpriced) remains? - Food Court = awful. Not the selections, but this "new design". Some people love it, I can't understand why. It was updated/designed almost like one of those "mouse mazes" you see - there isn't a lot of space (except by the seating area adjacent to the big window overlooking the parking lot) and as stated, just feels like a claustrophobic "maze" walking thru. There was nothing wrong with the old format - all that needed was a few nips and tucks, not a complete overhaul. I am not sure who should be fired first - the people who designed this awful set-up, or the people who approved the design! A lot of money spent, and it did not add ANYTHING, in fact it detracted. A mall I still come to and like, but a few things still nag at me. :) Will still recommend.

Yelp
This mall has lots of good stores and is very busy. No worries about zombies hiding out in vacant stores here! I'm not really a mall gal, but when the weather gets bad and I get antsy, I'll pop in for a stroll to keep up my steps. This mall has inside stores, but an outside area as well. One section seems to be dedicated to fitness with several fitness stores - the barre code, orange theory fitness and cyclebar. Those are all located in their own section for easy parking and running from the car into your class. Clothing wise there are plenty of stores available to make your returns from your online shopping. American Eagle is here (where I shop for skinny son's jeans) as well as Gap and H&M. I like to go in the stores sometimes instead of just walking by them, but inevitably they do not have the size/color/style that I'm looking for an I have to order online anyway. So in the land of mall shopping, you can have a good experience here!

Yelp
Cordial and professional attentive staff. Wonderful selections for suits, dress pants, or simply collared shirts. They have a wide array of patterns and solids for all of your business needs. Highly recommend this location.

Yelp
I like this shopping mall. Mostly it is indoors. I say mostly because over the years they have expended and now have an outdoor section where there are a whole lot of food places. There are some shops out there too. They decorate for the holidays and at Christmas there is a small ride for the children and, of course, Santa. At Easter the same deal, except it is the Easter Bunny. Photo op and lines. If you want a little rest, head to Von Maur and sit and enjoy the piano player, when they are there. Huge parking lot, and if you know the exact location of the store you are visiting, you may find a convenient spot.

Yelp
Maybe not the biggest mall but very clean which I appreciate. Not crowed when I went and a decent amount of stores for a small mall. Kids play area I thought was good for maybe 5 and under. Parking was pretty easy and not to far for walking in the cold. Walked past a couple of military and thanked them and hope others did too.

Yelp
I love this mall. The layout is great. I like how there is a piano. I always loved to sit down and listen to the music.

Yelp
It's been a while since I came here. It was near my house, that's why I couldn't come here. I have my car so I park the car in their parking lot. There are so many cars in there and luckily there are some vacant ones that are available. After I park my car I enter the place. I haven't eaten breakfast so I'm starving already. I went to the food court and started to look at what to eat. It's hard to choose because there are a lot of foods here. At the end I chose to buy a milkshake, slice cake, tacos and fruit shake. All of it tasted good but the milkshake was too tasteless for me. It has a lot of ice that's why it got tasteless. After I ate I went to the department store to buy clothes. And I'm happy that U bought at a sale price. Can't believe that I got a discounted price.

Yelp
They have everything here except for H&M I believe, but that's okay. The shops here are so much cleaner and clothes were not all over the place. I usually can walk out of this mall with something from Forever and Agaci. If you are sick of going to Woodfield, come here! They also upgraded the food court and added this ramen place. It's a great place for a quick lunch or dinner. If your hungry and want a snack, try that place out!

Yelp
You've come a long way, Yorktown! Over 30 years ago my sister and I would hang out here, and it seemed like a mall in the middle of nowhere. It seems so much more grown up and sophisticated these days, with a face lift of new tile throughout. No more bizarre lockers that were just used as hiding spots for us to jump out of to scare our cousins, even though that did keep us occupied for many summers. Am I a shopper? No. I have no idea what Von Maur is, and there is nothing that tempts me to walk in to see what they sell. What WAS fascinating was the fight that broke out in the food court between a patron and an employee. We couldn't get close enough to actually grasp the overview of the argument, but we could hear some awesome blurbs! I am Mrs. Kravitz, so I love to eavesdrop on the gossip and being a busybody. Here's some of what we heard; Employee: "What in the hell are you doing man, there's goddamn kids here!" Patron: "Why don't you go back to where you were and GO COOK something!" Patron: (Being escorted out by security) "I feel as if I'm being wrongly discriminated against!" (We found this to be hilarious since he was a 30-something year old white male.) If people in Lombard have a strong hatred toward Zack Galifianakis, then yes ..... you are being discriminated against.

Yelp
I used to love this mall today will be my last time here. A lot of people here with dogs and many are barking at each other.

Yelp
Black Friday and the mall is so sad. The few decorations are so sad and unimaginative. No Christmas music. No garland. I WANT to shop, and there is NO VIBE. Glad to see stores open. Need help, mall management. Merry Christmas, All!

Yelp
I got my new bag from this mall. And it's beautiful and elegant. The quality of the bag is pretty good. It's branded so it's a little bit pricey. You can choose your favorite design and color of bag. They also have a shoulder bag, backpack and sling bag. And I can say that you can easily find a good gift for your loved ones at this store. Oh I forgot I also like their food in one of the food stalls. The fried chicken with rice is so good. I like the juiciness and crispiness of chicken inside and outside. It's also good if you dip it with the gravy. You can request it if it is hot or a normal one. This fried chicken has a free juice and I don't like it. It's too sweet and it's not cold. It has no ice in the glass. I want my drinks cold. But overall the food was good and the price was cheap.

Yelp
I'll give it 3 because they are trying to dress it up but really it's a 2 in my heart. A lot of the people here are gross. Like, drop your punk ass tween off after school and leave them there until it closes OR maybe you'll be lucky enough to see someone beat their child in the parking lot of Carson Pirie Scott... lovely and oh so Carson Pirie Scott. The only store I come here for is their extensive Forever 21... I know, but c'mon, Give me break, this is a recession and sometimes you need some cheap ass Ho garb.

Yelp
I only go to Yorktown for two reasons: + When I need to pass some time before meeting someone at Flat Top for dinner. + When I need to pass some time after work before doing something else nearby. I swear, every single time I come here is only for one of those two reasons. Usually the former. Otherwise, I don't go here. Yorktown's anchor stores are decent (Von Maur, JC Penny, and Carson Pirie Scott), the restaurants around the center are fine (Flat Top is great!), and the stores inside aren't terrible (the Forever 21 is one of the best I've seen). However, add that all up with a rather empty mall (where is everyone?) and it's kind of a "meh" experience. On the plus side, Yorktown tries its best to look nice and pretty. Nearly every storefront is occupied and the mall seems pretty shiny & clean. I chalk that up to the immaculately organized stores (seriously, every single store I stepped into was incredibly organized), but on the other hand, no one is here to mess it up! Oh, and the food court is currently being renovated with plans to re-open within the next couple weeks (just in time for the holiday season). However, I can't help wonder if that's kind of a waste of money for this mall.... Oh well. Malls are malls.

Yelp
Hadn't been to Yorktown in a while so didn't realize they allowed dogs. It was disgusting. I almost stepped in dog poop on two separate occasions. Dogs were barking at each other and people were just letting their dogs do their business on the main floor of the mall and walking away without cleaning it up. I will never go back there unless they stop allowing dogs.

Yelp
York Town Mall is okay. It's more like North River Side mall, and a lot like a New Brick Yard Mall. Oak Brook is nice, and Woodfield Mall is pretty big, but nice.
