Google
Very nice spot to come hit for lunch or dinner. The variety and selection is wide but the quality doesn't suffer from it. The gyoza with their gyoza sauce is out of this world, the ramen is amazing and their rolls are delicious. Highly recommend this spot for either a quick lunch/dinner or a sit-down and enjoy your time.

We decided to try this place in south Austin and ordered Eel Dragon Roll, Chicken Teriyaki, Miso Soup, and Salmon Poke Bowl. I was able to get half rice/half salad with the poke bowl. The food is pretty good and the service was good too. As I looked around the interior, my first thought was that it could use some art on the walls.

A cozy and casual restaurant between the Pie Bar and ATI on S Congress avenue off of W Slaughter Ln. Our waitress was an ANGEL. I didn’t get to catch her name, but I’m assuming she may have been the owner. Super friendly and attentive. We ordered Spicy tonkatsu ramen with pork belly chasu. As she checked in with us and refilled our drinks, our waitress offered chili oil because she noted that we had ordered the spicy ramen. The ramen was flavorful and the spice level was perfect for us. As a spice lover we had to try the chili oil which added such a wonderful flavor and another layer to our food. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would love to come back soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
I ordered from DoorDash. The Combo Dinner of 3 rolls, one soup, and one salad was only $23.99! Will try again.

Google
Atmosphere is cool chill, wait is usually long, had to give 1 star due for on their calamari, it was more like onion rings and a few pieces for the price is unworthy 0/10 for the calamari, ramen and rolls 8.5/10

I am shocked to see any less than perfect reviews of this place. Let me preface this by saying that I have eaten sushi around the country for the last 17 years and I’ve even worked in a sushi restaurant. My boyfriend and I live near Yoshiko and come here no less than once a week. Their pricing is so affordable and yet still such good quality. Every single week we get a spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll for next to nothing in price, but so rich in flavor. This is one of the only places I will happily order to go, as the restaurant is on the smaller side and the food is always so fresh when I get home. I love the miso soup, the shrimp tempura, the fried rice, the lunch and dinner sushi roll specials, the black dragon roll, and the fried angel roll! Attached are some pictures of my usual togo order, spicy tuna, avocado tuna, etc. Their special rolls are fancier and so delicious as well.

Google
I ordered a lunch bento box, it was good portions and the mushroom soup that came with it was really good too. The only thing I was not into was the teriyaki sauce, it tasted like soy sauce and corn starch quickly mixed together.

Google
I had the tonkatsu ramen with chashu pork. They have the option to where you can pair up your choice of broth and choice of protein, that's pretty cool. It was very filling and I left with a full belly. I didn't notice the bowl was chipped until halfway through the meal, they should probably get rid of it. It was my first time trying sashimi and it was really tasty!

Yelp
Never disappoints! Affordable pricing and large portion sizes. Never disappoints! Affordable pricing and large portion sizes.

Yelp
Great Ramen taste and decent service but friendly. Really smooth taste and good vibes

Yelp
It was so good! We had the $18.99 dinner special. Good portions and good value. Relaxed, casual ambience with a classy touch. Service was excellent! I would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Down past the trendier downtown area of South Congress, Yoshiko is a humble hole in the wall, frequented by near neighbors and otherwise largely overlooked. I'd like to say that it's an underappreciated gem, but to be frank, it's just okay. Perfectly okay, absolutely not bad, and nothing to get excited about one way or another. The ramen options are structured like a choose-your-own-adventure book, letting diners select their protein and then broth flavor from a list of eight each. For vegans, the sole option is the Vegetable Ramen with Creamy Vegan Broth. It delivers on the promise of vegetables, sporting close to a full crown of tender steamed broccoli, and the noodles are good, if not great. However, the broth falls flat, taking the overall bowl down with it. There's just no flavor at all, no umami, no zest, not even enough salt for proper seasoning. I hate to be harsh because it's done nothing wrong. I would simply never crave it, given the wealth of more compelling alternatives within reach. If you're going to go, and want to keep it vegan, get the basic veggie sushi. Cucumber and avocado were perfect; simple, fresh, abundant, and wrapped in perfectly cooked rice. It's a decent value too, definitely competitive with more upscale options. Service is fast, the people are kind, and it's a fine choice if you're nearby.

Yelp
Don't judge a book by its cover. Yoshiko on the outside is no frills, and is pretty low key on the inside, but the food is SOLID. I have been here over a dozen times, and every time the fish is fresh, and decent. There is always tons of take out, and the fish is honestly super tasty. Whether you're coming for the sashimi, or sushi rolls you really can't go wrong. The service I will say has gotten much faster than the first times we came here so that is a huge plus. If you are looking for a quick bite of sushi come to Yoshiko, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
- Vibes: chill, casual date or family dinner - Crowd: very manageable on a sat night - Menu: tons of options incl for vegetarians - Value for price: 5/5 - Service: quick and friendly - Parking: shopping center Came here for a family dinner on a sat night around 8:30 and it was pretty empty. It's a small restaurant in a food plaza. Quickly discovered the vast selection in their menus, and I'd argue that it's quite reasonably priced for sushi! Serving sizes are big. I shared the sushi love boat for 2- it truly is a lot of fish. (It sadly does not come in a boat...) The tempura roll was my favorite of the rolls, but the rainbow was also lovely. We also received 3 sashimi pieces of 5 types of fish- some of the better sashimi I've had in Austin, period. My dad got the sushi sashimi combo, which was a lot for one person. These combos also come with a small salad (with delicious sesame dressing) and a miso soup. Lovely pricing and selection- will be coming back for that love boat!

Yelp
1.I ordered for an appetizer Soft shell crab rated a F because the batter was soft and poor, and I picked it up on time, so it shouldn't have been that way, it lacked the crisp/Flavor 2. I ordered the yummy roll. Which was my favorite. Overall - Definitely A on that. It was like I never tried and very delicious. 3. Rainbow roll. I gave it a B, it was good and didn't taste like mayonnaise 4. Shrimp fried fried rice, cooked. Pretty good, shrimp, Dvained , and cleaned properly. However, they didn't give me any sauces, like sweet-and-sour or teriyaki sauce, and it was pretty dry. D 5. Texas roll was good B+ 6. Angel roll, which was good as well & tasted like a las vegas roll - pretty much a Replica. Overall, this place is great , I suggest coming here. Nice little hole in the wall and cute ambience. Very small, but when I walked in everyone filled the seats. However - keep in mind. They don't have baked salmon rolls or any baked rolls of that matter. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
We had dinner at Yoshiko on Friday and had a great experience. We started with the Hamachi Carpaccio, followed by the rainbow roll and summer roll for me, while my boyfriend ordered the Chirashi. The portions were generous, and the fish was fresh. My only critique was the Hamachi Carpaccio--half raw and half cooked, which made the texture feel a bit off. I would have preferred it fully raw or fully cooked. That said, the service was excellent and fast. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
I've been to many sushi places in town the past couple of decades and this is by far my favorite sushi place. Their speciality rolls are delicious and a very decent price. I made the mistake of going elsewhere one day, because it was the only day of the week this place was closed early, and I quickly regretted that other place, they charged me way more and the rolls were not nearly as large as the rolls at Yoshiko. The other place gave me smaller, more basic rolls and they were a few dollars more each than at Yoshiko. Never again making that mistake. For Yoshiko I just order online, if you locate them in Maps, it'll have an option straight to their website. When I order online, my order is always promptly ready right when I'm in there to pick it up. My favorite sushi rolls here are the Yummy roll and the Tokyo roll. They're so good it's my staple order. Now I can't speak for their soup, ramen and other items because I love these rolls so much I always get them but their service is always prompt and top notch. Next time I'll attach pictures to show but yes those rolls are very delish and such a good, large size, those two will definitely fill you up! Go elsewhere and you'll usually get more basic standard rolls a fraction of the size for more expensive so this is the spot for me! Also their sushi/fish is always fresh and they're attentive to cleanliness, other places for sushi you have to worry about food illness but not here! The fish is very good quality and fresh

Yelp
My new favorite restaurant when in Austin. I hadn't heard of it before but it was nearby and we stopped on a whim. If you think gyoza taste the same everywhere then you gotta try them here because they were easily the best I've had. Shrimp tempura ramen also exquisite, eel dragon roll was fantastic. The hamachi kama I wasn't a fan of but it might just be an acquired taste. Excellent service too!

M A.

Yelp
Always fresh, reasonable prices, clean and consistent. My go to for sushi and sashimi. The fried rice is also good.

Yelp
Craving sushi, my hubby and I decided to try Yoshiko based on my stylist's recommendation. Hit the spot! The place is small but has several booths, tables and seats at the sushi bar. Fortunately, we arrived just before the crowd and got a table for two right away. The waiter was friendly and helpful, answering questions about the menu. We started with the soft shell crab appetizer which was amazing! The Osumashi soup touched my soul and set my palette up for the rest of the meal. We enjoyed the American Dream, Spider and Shaggy Dog rolls. That was among the best Shaggy Dog rolls we've had! This place is now on our list of ATX spots.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Parking: 5/5 First time trying Yoshiko today and we were not disappointed. We came in for sushi. We got sashimi, nigiri, handrolls, and rolls. Everything was really delicious. Fish was quality and generous. Flavors were balanced and fresh. We will be back! Takeaway: - If you are deciding to go to DK, don't! Come to Yoshiko if you want better jap food. - Small dining area but it was easy for us to walk in and sit for two at the sushi bar

Yelp
If you want incredibly affordable Americanized Japanese takeout this is your place! I ordered DoorDash for a lazy Sunday and got the 3 roll dinner special: -Snow Crab Roll; it was not real crab meat, definitely imitation, and comes with avocado. It was good but wouldn't recommend if you're looking for actual crab (which I was). -Crunchy Roll; expected the usual tempura shrimp with crab and cucumber/avo, instead it was just more imitation crab mix with tempura flakes and avo. Tastes exactly the same as the "snow crab" roll. -Spicy Tuna Roll; awesome, wish I had gotten two of these. Not spicy though, just good seasoning. Also ordered the shrimp & veggie tempura; I was shocked by the huge portion sized and great quality, make sure you have good soy sauce and ponzu at home though because it's lacking in seasoning, but the fried crunch is excellent. The miso; needs good soy sauce added but it's standard. Pork fried gyoza; was alright, standard. Wish it had more pork inside and more flavor, could use some more ginger in the mix. Over all; can't beat the price, you get exactly what you pay for. Great for when you have a craving for mediocre American Japanese takeout!

Yelp
Came here for the first time tnight, and it's a tiny spot and was really busy today but service was great. We ordered the spicy pork belly ramen - delicious. The black dragon roll - also really good. And the dinner set which comes with soup, salad and your choice of 3 rolls so ordered the spicy yellowtail, salmon avo and tuna avo roll. I can't say this is the best sushi I've ever had but it was def good and hits the spot when you don't want to drive downtown. We'll be back!

Yelp
Came here around 9 PM on a Saturday night (6/29/24), the small dining area was mostly empty except for one or two other tables. Our server Justin just came out immediately and was super friendly the entire evening; while taking our order a song came on that we both found particularly moody/disturbing (the vibe of the playlist was very moody/sad, breakup vibes) and we asked them to change it, and they did. All the sushi was fresh and delicious, I even liked the sauce that came on the shrimp tempura roll, which I am otherwise never OK with. The only thing we didn't like was that the mochis comes with whip cream and chocolate chocolate drizzle (works for the strawberry, but not the mango) and we're used to eating mochi just plain/straight up, so next time we would order without. But otherwise everything else was very good and our service so friendly, we would come back.

Yelp
Great service, food is good. It is a smaller place so expect to sit with close friends and family or take it to go!

Yelp
Order from here to go and LOVED everything I got. The restaurant is small with only a few tables but the waitstaff was very nice. Ordering online was super easy and the food was ready when it said it would be. The bento box is the way to go! You get 2 entree options, sushi, pot sticker, crab ragoon, salad and miso soup. The sushi was fresh and I loved the chicken and veggie option. My friend loved her spider roll and potstickers. Affordable, fresh and convenient. Can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
Visited here with a party of 6 on a nice Saturday evening. We ordered apps, standard sushi, and drinks....this is when the service ended. After this point, from first order, the edamame that was requested arrived 35 minutes after. We ended up having to cancel our sushi orders as it had been well over an hour and were offered a 10% discount on the apps for our wait. Mind, we had seen 3 other tables arrive after us and get their food including another 6 top. I would highly reccomend not eating here unless you appreciate the server ignoring you and low quality sushi. 0/5 starts, there are better places to eat sushi in Austin with better service!
google avatar

Yelp
Great quality food Exceptional service Awesome price point I eat there 2-3 times a week Always very welcoming and polite

Yelp
I love this place! On the smaller side, but a really nice atmosphere. The staff are attentive and the food came out super fast! I got an avocado roll and a sweet potato roll, both delicious. The sweet tea was also perfectly sweetened. I really like that they have vegetarian options - even a vegan ramen! I am also gluten free, and they have gluten free (rice) noodles that you can substitute. Definitely would recommend!
google avatar

Karson S.

Yelp
A great option when you're out shopping for the day. I am a sucker for ramen, so I had to try this place! I ordered to go using GrubHub and everything came out as ordered (which can be hit or miss with sushi especially so glad it was so smooth). Walked in for pickup and it's a small little cozy place that I'd happily go for a chill lunch experience. The food: got the more expensive lunch sushi combo, and OMG IT WAS GOOD!! The Yummy roll (as someone had mentioned on Yelp) was one of my favorite rolls ever. Also got a spicy tuna roll which was solid. Also ordered the ramen in hopes that it's be better than the other restaurant down the street (you know who I mean)...I would not say this was my favorite ramen as it was not quite as creamy as I like, but I'd order again over other places nearby. The egg was cooked perfect, the noodles were good, the meat was decent, it was mostly the broth I wish was a little different. But still ate it all! Also got a taro milk tea which was actually one of my favorites in the area. Will be back!!
google avatar

Teeta T.

Yelp
They did me extremely bad. I got the shrimp fried rice, the flavor was great but they LITERALLY only gave me three shrimp in the rice, that's unacceptable for like $15 smh
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
BEST TEMPURA ROLL IN AUSTIN. DOUBLE SHRIMP. Two full tempuraed shrimp in one bite. Solid sushi place. Kind staff. Temperature is a bit cold but hot sake warms you up.

Yelp
I really enjoy every dining experience I have had at Yoshiko, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of South Austin. From the moment you step through the door, you are welcomed by the warm and inviting ambiance and staff and the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The menu at Yoshiko is filled with all sorts of fabulous choices from sushi to ramen and so much more - and everything is delicious. Their sake selection is nice, as well. The service at Yoshiko deserves special praise. The staff members are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Their genuine passion for food and dedication to customer satisfaction are evident in every interaction, adding a personal touch that will leave you feeling like a valued guest.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
I ordered to go. The food was good (eel avocado rolls, protein poke bowl, gyoza). Really liked the eel sauce rolls and poke bowl. Would say it's an average experience and would go back again. It was much cheaper to order and pick up than use an order service as the prices were higher for each item through the other apps. The food was ready quick (with 15 min) and was a quick pick up process. The restaurant was quite small/intimate.
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
Yoshiko has an order-at-your-table system, where you scan a QR code, and input what items you'd like. Once complete, it'll send your order over and a waiter will bring the items to your table. After your meal, the waiter will bring the check to your table. The Lunch Roll special is quite a deal, 2 rolls and either a miso soup or salad for $10.95. I can't say Yoshiko's serves the best sushi in town, but if you're looking for a cost-efficient & fresh alternative to the HEB across the street, Yoshiko will absolutely do it! I ordered basic rolls (yellowtail, tuna, salmon), but my most favorite one was the Crawfish Roll.
google avatar

Yelp
food (5/5)s: - shrimp shumai (6) : we got an appetizer and it was amazing! i totally recommend. - pork belly chasu spicy tonkatsu base : it was great! service (5/5): - our server, lyann, was a sweet heart and helpful. she was very kind, gave us recommendations, and she fulfilled all of our needs. ambiance (4.5/5): - it's dark inside and it is a physically smaller restaurant, yet very busy-non stop flipping tables. the two tables in the middle are set very close to each other. luckily, we were a party of 2 and the table next to us were as well. if we were bigger than a party of 2, it could be uncomfortable. other than that, it's a really nice restaurant.
google avatar

Suz L.

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot with wide variety of dishes from sushi, ramen, and yakisoba. Check it out.

Yelp
I haven't dined in at Yoshiko but I've had sushi takeout from here a handful of times and enjoyed it. I was first introduced to it by my friend who had ordered it for a casual dinner she was hosting. It's not cheap budget sushi like Kura or high end/trendy like Uchi; instead it fits into that standard no-frills go-to sushi place you'd order once a week, which generally are the sushi places I order most from. I feel on average, the raw fish I've had at Yoshiko is fresher than Umi. My favorite thing on the menu is surprisingly the Sweet Potato Roll, strips of sweet potato tempura and covered in sweet unagi sauce. Flavor and texture-wise, it's addicting and can never order from Yoshiko without it.
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Yoshiko is great. The food is good, I was surprised when they gave me a shisho leaf with my sushi, which was masterfully cut. I had the Shrimp Tempura Ramen, it had a lovely and tasty miso broth. I'll definitely be going back to try more. I noticed they have beef bowls on the menu, (Gyudon) as well as Yakisoba I'm definitely excited to go back and give those a try also. Yoshiko is the perfect South Austin spot for a Japanese lunch. If your are thinking of going then do so.. you wont regret it.
google avatar

Bud B.

Yelp
This is the place across the street. Excellent food, the ramen tastes authentic, the chairs are comfortable and the miso soup was so good. The only issue I have is they seem very unorganized, three different people took our order, somehow they got it right and out in a timely fashion. Thank you for reading my review, you're in the right spot, have some ramen!
google avatar

Candice N.

Yelp
Yoshiko is SO good!! We came here with some friends recently and were absolutely not disappointed. Only four stars because they could use some help, service-wise (really slow to get refills on water and our check) and the ambiance is missing some audio! It's a small space, and without any music playing, it's really easy to be part of everyone's conversations around you. Not pictured: shrimp shumai and crab wontons for apps - really good!
google avatar

Justin N.

Yelp
I have now been here a few times and it has been about the same experience. The staff is friendly and you can tell they are trying their best. There seems to be a lack of people actually making the food and a number of people staging to hand out. But due to the lack of speed or maybe a lack of assessing how long things will take to make, expect to wait for your food, longer than you'd expect or want. The food itself is actually pretty good. Some is better than others. The seaweed salad is a waste of time and you get about 3 bites. Most of the rolls and sushi are pretty tasty. Small place. Kinda feels like you are getting stepped on or hovered over, especially if there is a line waiting for pickup. You can tell the staff is struggling with the space and is doing their best to navigate the tight space.
google avatar

Philip L.

Yelp
This place might have gotten by before Ramen Tatsuya opened across the street. Its ramen is horrible by comparison. We tried it one night because Tatsuya was swamped and I wouldn't go back. Didnt try the sushi, but if the sushi is on par with the ramen, then I am glad I didnt because atleast I know I'm not missing anything. Wont be going back.

Devon A.

Yelp
Unassuming strip center location, but you will be surprised how good this place is. We absolutely love their ramen - better than other places nearby. Also their sushi is fresh and well-prepared- really, everything we've tried has been delicious. We usually get take-out, nice little bar while you wait, and it's a cozy place to eat in as well

Aneka S.

Yelp
The vibes are immaculate, I love how the workers are just vibing with their own music and workers are super fast.
google avatar

Yamily G.

Yelp
After placing online order and receiving notification that it would be ready in 25 minutes... we check in after those 25 minutes and waited another 40m. A total of 1 hour after placing our order we were told they hadn't even started working on it. If you're hungry, just do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Y.G

Yelp
This has got to be one of the best new Asian restaurants in Austin. Yoshiko has a bigger menu than what you'd expect: Ramen, Poke Bowls, Bento Boxes, Sushi, Yakisoba Noodle Dishes, Fried Rice, etc. There's something for everyone on the menu at a price that won't break the bank. I sampled their Spring Rolls that were perfect, very crispy and hot. With the huge menu selection, we decided on a lunch bento box with salmon, the entire box had an ample selection of crab rolls, veggies, rice and it was accompanied by a miso soup that was not salty like other places we've had it. I had a Troy Special Roll - shrimp tempura, avocado inside, spicy snow crab on top with eel sauce and spicy sauce. The flavors and textures worked perfectly together. We are definitely going back to Yoshiko, there's so much more on the menu for us to explore.

Yelp
We've been coming here for 6 years and the food is always great. I've been to every sushi place in Austin and this one is my favorite. I'm so glad I live close-by. I worked at a sushi place in my hometown and learned a lot about sushi there. I have a special place in my heart for Yoshiko because the food and atmosphere is very similar. All of the special rolls are great, the fried rolls are even better and the poke bowls are always fresh tasting; not fishy. For some reason, the wait staff seem to change frequently but the chefs and female manager/owner have stayed the same. Some hot food (especially the gyoza) is just better fresh which is why we dine in occasionally but we more often get it to go. It's usually ready in 20 minutes. We add ten minutes to what they quote over the phone because we've learned it usually takes longer than what they think and we hate standing around for our food. Some things they might want to train wait staff on: don't ask the customer how things are tasting while they have their mouth full of food, take dirty plates away as soon as possible and don't drop the check off until the customer asks for it; doing so insinuates that you are rushing people out the door. There's no reason to turn tables if the restaurant isn't busy. Let people enjoy the experience and the food. Eating out is becoming a special event for people with inflation being so high. They are more likely to come back if they feel relaxed; free to take their time and enjoy the meal. These are all common knowledge but young servers may not be aware if this is their first job.

Yelp
We live in South Austin and have been on the hunt for a good week night sushi spot. We noticed Yoshhiko when in the area and decided to try it out. Overall, my review is that it is good, not great. It gets the job done, but isn't really anything to call home about. If you want a standard sushi roll (hand rolls, California roll, Philadelphia roll, Spicy Tuna Roll) this place will be fine for that. I was personally disappointed that all specialty rolls had shrimp tempura and had a lack of true variety. Restaurant is very dark and could use better lighting/ambiance. Music was good, not too loud. We tried the following food. -Spicy Edamame - typically spicy edamame is done with garlic/chili paste/soy sauce. Theirs is covered with spicy Mayo which we didn't love. Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashimi Appetizer - a little too sweet. Added sriracha was a little overpowering. Overall, yellowtail seemed fresh. -Spicy Tuna Handroll (standard) - great ratio of tuna to rice. Loved the addition of the tempura. -Tokyo Roll (speciality) - good, not great. Overall flavor was just okay. Tuna seemed decently fresh. -Philadelphia Roll (standard) - good standard role. Salmon inside didn't seem super fresh. Service was good for this style sushi restaurant, about what you would expect for a no frills sushi spot.

Yelp
It's not bad, it's just not good. Oversized cuts of fish. Weird service Have fun with all the mishaps on the menu.

Yelp
I liked the ramen here a lot. Way better than paying $25 for a bowl at some of these other Austin chains. Everything was reasonably priced. The inside is small and quaint but it's also quiet. Staff was friendly, you have the option to order from your phone. Will be back.

Yelp
So I've been to this place 3x now and I'm pretty solid on this rating. 1st I came in here for one did not know how small this place was so if you try to get here like 6 to 6:30p as a walk in be prepared for a waitlist - check out the coffee and pie place two doors to right while you're waiting. They finally got some staff (hopefully they stay) cause that 2 server business without support was insane the first two visits. Also don't get confused with that line going to the register cause these guys have an omega level 'to go' line mixed with the wait line. Food wise during those visits: Spicy Edamame - blah Gyoza - yes Shrimp Shumai - yes Hamachi Kama - yes (takes about 15-20 mins you heard it now) Miso Soup - meh Gyoza Soup - better Yellowtail Jalapeno - okay but something was missing on this Tuna Tataki - was too safe; needs spice Ramen Bowl - Hell yeah (I went Spicy Pork route; did not disappoint) Sushi and Sashimi - there's the gold but stay away from Escolar/Super white tuna - it taste good initially but you eat too much of this you're gonna have stomach problems - lesson learned years ago - you're welcome America). *you guys need to get some O-Toro Tuna or just Toro cuts on the menu FYI (expand). Dinner Bento Box - oh yes - for that price point for the portions you are getting; very solid choice if you guys are first timers or on the fence (can't imagine what the lunch bento box looks like) Overall the place is legit for the location that it's in. It's got some growing pains to sort out from an operational standpoint FOH/BOH , but I'm glad it's in the area.

Yelp
I ordered from their website, food was hot and ready to go when I arrived. The tataki was good, but the spicy pork chasu ramen was really disappointing. It wasn't spicy at all appeared as though they gave me the regular broth by mistake, come to find out that wasn't the case. The ajitama egg and pork lacked flavor. Customer service was okay as I called and said I received the wrong broth, but when they replaced it, it was the same broth.

Yelp
Food quality is very low. The spicy edamame is just edamame tossed in A LOT of spicy mayo. The roll comes 1/2 hot and 1/2 cold. I was scared to get sick. The chicken fried rice is made with the lowest quality protein. I was really looking forward to finding a local sushi spot as I just moved to South Austin. This won't be it. I didn't eat anything and they didn't care to know my feedback. They just sent me the full bill and left. My server was very nice. It was her first day and she is lovely and attentive. I went back to speak to the manager. She said since I was going to leave a review she wouldn't refund me. Lack of professionalism and quality. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from a bad experience.

Yelp
I do hope to return one day once they've hired more people/worked out some of the new biz kinks. Service was just incredibly slow- and this was a Wednesday night so I imagine it's worse on weekends:/ You're not greeted or anything and the order system isn't explained to you- we had no idea that it was all qr/contactless ordering. The sushi was good, but took about 45 min to come out. Our ramen came out faster, but it unfortunately wasn't very flavorful...lotsss of to go orders came and went much faster than our sushi came out, so I think that's the route we'll go if we decide to give them another try.
