"Chef Yoshinori Morié (formerly at Le Petit Verdot, Encore, L'Auberge du 15) delights diners with refined, visually pleasing cuisine in the form of single set menus. Think tartare of Corrèze veal, cockles and cauliflower; monkfish, lotus and mushrooms; or ballotine of pigeon, porcini, dates, carrots and combava – so many unabashed odes to elegance and indulgence. In a busy corner of the Latin Quarter, this place is a rare gem among the usual eateries, housed in an intimate setting with exposed stonework, white beams, Japanese-style woodwork, designer lighting, white linen and porcelain. An appealing set menu is available at lunchtime. Smiling and attentive service." - Michelin Inspector

Thank you for a delicious dinner, Yoshinori! A friendly and welcoming service at your restaurant, it was beautiful. Each dish was unique, and we tasted flavours we have never had before. The food was cooked beautifully and delicately, everything just melted in the mouth. It's hard to pick a favourite dish as they were all beautiful but I did particularly enjoy the trout. The attention to detail is high, not only in the food, but in the tableware and cutlery which is of high quality. It was a wonderful experience, and we are so thankful we visited your restaurant during our first and short stay in Paris. Merci beaucoup! Margaret and Bryan

I was....surprised. I read the reviews. Saw the pictures. In Paris for a week and we had budget for one amazing meal. After much deliberation, we chose Yoshinori. We went for the full tasting menu. With two bottles of water (we paid for....water?) and two glasses of wine it came to about $660. The food was good! Very small portions, but that's to be expected. While some bites were amazing (The scallop, Veal Tartare, and in particular the desert were all GREAT bites).... The meal took three hours? And we were...charged for water? Oh, and our sister not only spoke broken English, but broken French as well (we had a Parisian with us). So we never actually knew much about each dish because we couldn't figure out what we was saying. Add onto that...it took 200 minutes. Not a thpo- over three hours. Three hours to get about three bites of food...then wait another half hour...another three bites. Wait another half hour ..another three bites. All while the music could never make up its mind. Some jazz. Some experimental. Some weird Radiohead that twice as loud as it needed to be Look, if it was 2/3 the cost and a full half the time I'd be saying it was well worth it. But as is? We were antsy and eager to get out of our seats and on with our evening. Sadly disappointed

The place is rather simple but you can feel the elegance in detailes. Very exquisite way of preparing, cooking and presenting every dish. The combination of taste and texture with subtle but still always noticeable Japanese touch, definitely worth their earned Michelin star. The choice of wines and sake perfectly completes the great dining experience. Clearly recommended to visit.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. True that the time of serving dishes is off but who cares when the served dishes are a work of art . Every dish is a culinary delight. Yoshinori tasting menu is a please to surprise. Attentive service without being overbearing. Limited seating, intimate yet allowing private conversations to remain private. A well deserved star and highly recommended place. Will definitely visit again.

Incredible dinner experience at Yoshinori's restaurant, from the exquisite flavors and presentation of the meals, to the sophisticated and original wine pairings. Truly mindblowing considering that chef Yoshinori manages everything solo - from cooking to service to wine selection... A true display of talent combined with incredibly hard work if there ever was one!

#15: I tried every Michelin Star in Paris in 365days as a challenge. Follow me to see the rest. Cute on St Germain Update: I went back and I appreciated more the finesse of the chef. I guess I was impacted the first time by a customer that was very noisy. Still think it’s « cute on St Germain » and that’s it’s great for couples. But it’s more a solid star than a low tiers. Below original review: Let me be honest. It’s not my favorite. It’s one my list so I do recommend it but for my personal taste and for the experience I’m looking for, it’s not me. It’s a Michelin star, so it’s a very good restaurant, again, don’t get me wrong. That being said, it’s in the low tiers for my taste of Étoilé. Not the lowest by far ( because otherwise I would not even review it) but below average for the Michelin Star that I like. Let’s focus on the positive! The great things are : Dessert, execution and presentation (not the tableware but just the dish with flowers and a lot of wonderful touches). The execution alone worth its star, especially considering the price point. I guess the pictures speak for themselves. The dessert worth the experience (a bubble). The crowd. Well, it’s romantic and you can’t help it. You’re Rive Gauche on St Germain in a tiny cute little Japanese French étoilé… what else do you want? A waiter with a strong French accent? You got it! (He s very nice and professional by the way.) I guess for lunch you can come with friends but for dinner, let the lovers enjoy their cute moments in Paris. Basically, I recommend for a date. My experience: - Deserves its Star - I had a good time

There were 4 tables(2-2-2-3) Food was bad from the beginning to the end. I tried to understand but there was no balance of flavors. We didn't understand much about the description of the plats because of his Japanese accent. He should print it out and hand to us. Service and foods were basic like a cheap bar izakaya in Tokyo with very high price. Leftover cold breads was served with smelly butter. it was a crime for french fine dining with Michelin star restaurant.

I visited this restaurant with little knowledge of the chef or the menu, though had high expectations due to their 1 Michelin star. My initial impressions were positive, the dining room was small and very cozy, stylishly decorated and clean. There were two waiters who were responsible for 7-8 tables, with little help from kitchen staff. The service was acceptable, but nothing amazing or anything you would associate with a Michelin star restaurant. I decided to go for the “Menu dégustation YOSHINORI” The dishes were all beautifully presented and served on elegant tableware. The chef has made an abundant and impressive use of vegetables and edible flowers. I was disappointed that the flavour/ lack of was not suited to my palette. Throughout the 4 hour dining experience I was left eagerly anticipating a “wow” dish, and unfortunately that didn’t come. I thoroughly did not enjoy the pigeon main dish. The fish entrée dishes were nice, but nothing overwhelming. I was impressed with the climax of my dining experience at Yoshinori, the dessert. With the current menu offerings, unfortunately I can not recommend this restaurant and do not wish to return.

Had an excellent 6 course lunch meal by Chef Yoshinori. Located in the heart of the Latin Quarter neighborhood, it is easily missed and tucked away. The inside setting is small yet intimate. You can hear the chef working away his magic and smell the upcoming courses. All the dishes were meticulously crafted to perfection and I enjoyed every bite. Service was exceptional with the server constantly filling up our water, checking in on us, and ensuring we were having a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this place for any of my fine dining friends!
