YOWIE (Hotel & Shop)

We had a wonderful stay at YOWIE hotel! Such a hidden gem with great amenities and reasonable prices. The rooms are clean, bright, and have everything you need! At first, our code wasn't working for the door but all it took was one quick call and the hotel manager came right over to assist and provide a new code that worked right away. Sarah was friendly and attentive, and I appreciated her quick help. It was also so nice that they offered a supply of extra toiletries and travel items in the hallway that were available to guests should you forget anything. Our room had a kitchenette, small fridge, and beautiful decor. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was a nice size for a boutique hotel. The location is perfect and an easy walk to Headhouse Square, Old City, and South Philly. We are local to the neighborhood and this will certainly become our new staycation spot!

Stayed in room 206 ... absolutely loved the careful attention to design and detail! Felt like I was part of an art piece. It's so nice the rooms have a kitchen available for storing drinks and reheating leftovers... it was like a home away from home. Plus, the neighborhood is so charming with great dining/activities at every corner. Definitely looking forward to booking extended-stays here with my family soon.

Yowie is an incredible gem in the heart of a city. We absolutely loved staying in Suite 203, with multiple Bay windows, super creative furnishings and a clean design. We have stayed in other rooms previously and can confirm you can't go wrong with any of them, but I just loved the windows on 203 if that's available. Every little detail is thought through, from getting a code to check-in, to extra supplies in the drawer outside the room, to a beautiful book that showcases the history of YOWIE and YOWIE hotel. My wife and I were seeing friends nearby and got to walk to/from their place without issue. Great coffee shop on the ground floor as well to start your day off.

I stayed at Yowie this week for a work trip, in room 303. I loved being in a neighborhood with flavors and layers. Shannon and the team were incredibly thoughtful and provided a huge amount of recommendations for food and culture. Getting in and out was super slick and easy. Loved that I could walk to everything. The rooms were impeccable, design was 10/10 and even the street noise made me feel like I was truly a local. Room rates were far better than a crappy chain hotel!! Only negative was that I couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend!!

Stayed in one of their large king bed suites and loved it. So much space, great attention to detail all around, great shower, super comfortable bed and pillows as well. The location was convenient and the price was very fair. This no frills hotel is a good one and I’d definitely go back. Great value.

I've been dreaming of a staycation at Yowie for some time & I was so happy I got to experience a lovely relaxing overnight at last! CUTE space, insanely good selection of curated books, furniture, & objects, great shower & local snacks ~ and only steps away from 4th Street (my favorite street in Philly). I love how Yowie is redefining iconic historic South Street. And big time bonus if you're like me and actually like to spend a lot of time inside the hotel room you've booked - with Forin downstairs & Bridget Foy's next door, you don't have to leave the cozy corner nest which is Yowie Hotel. :)

My son and I went into Philadelphia for the board game cafe and decided to stay over. Great location, 5 min walk away if that and excellent spots to eat near by also. Everything was clean and looked great. Bed was comfortable and any issues I had they were just a phone call away. Excellent, will definitely stay again.

Omigosh! Everyone at Yowie is lovely!!! I traveled to Philly & arranged a week staying here for my 58th birthday celebration. It was fabulous! They decorated my room! Gave me complimentary wine, a spa visit & and an Uber credit! On top of this, the rooms were incredible & the location was ideal! Can you believe?! Cannot wait to return!

Had an amazing time at the boutique hotel's official opening last night! This highly awaited hotel on South Street by the owner of the YOWIE gift shop did not disappoint! This is now a combined cafe (wim cafe), retail shop, and hotel, and all of the products in the hotel suites are available for sale at the gift shop! She has focused on each room as a unique design, with curated furniture and art from emerging local designers. This will truly instill change on the landscape of south street. The community was all there and so supportive of this new space. Excited to go back!!!

Great stay in a good location and a nice room. Excellent service through out from prior to check in to check out. Molly was great and provided a lot of great tips and answers to my question.

I would stay at Yowie 100000x times in a heart beat! The rooms are so tasteful, organized & clean! I love all the dim light options in the room. The bathroom is so cute and with a huge shower. Everything is beautifully thought out and I enjoyed every single choices they made. Snacks and bev option were elite. Yes, its a "invisible service" for hotel but we reached out via text and they were super fast with the response, very helpful and super personable. Youre not talking to a robot!! The coffee downstairs was so delicious, PLEASE GET THE CRUMBLE PASTRY YOU WONT REGRET! The store was sooo cute and the two ladies working the front was helpful and beautiful energy. I LOVE IT HEREEEEEE

10/10 loved staying here. Such a great location to some great restaurants and the attention to detail is immaculate. The parking situation was really convenient as well. There is a parking garage around the corner and the overnight parking rate was only $25! I really liked how they offered A drawer with all the little things that you would be most likely to forget, it was so convenient. I will definitely be returning next time im in Philadelphia. Wish I had taken pictures of the room.
