Yoyo’s Hotdog (Food Cart)

For some reason, this visit and round of hot dogs just didn’t quite hit the same way they used to. It had been a while since I’d actually had one, but I definitely remember how glorious they’d been in the past. The sauces were on point and watching him drizzle them on the hot dogs might’ve been the most satisfying part of the experience. That being said, these particular hot dogs didn’t come off as fresh, nor did the different flavors and textures actually stand out the way that one would come to expect (most notably the onions, which were kinda bland and soggy). I’m sure I’ll be back again, but might hesitate if I’m to expect a similar experience, especially when considering there’s almost always at least a 15-20 min to get them.

A true Houston classic! A really good way to end the night out, or even just as a getaway! Don’t want to wait in line? Get there at 10pm. Don’t mind waiting in line? Well any time after 10 is when it starts getting busy and the line is perhaps half of the retail strip. Yoyo is a very nice guy, he is respected and loved by all of Houston at this point . There’s very few people that have not tried this spot yet, but they sure have to!! Food is straight forward; A beef Frank with caramelized onions, some crispy factor, and his signature sauce which you must see him hitting all those hot dogs at once!

The line for these hot dogs is always insane. To those who have never had them, it doesn’t make sense. But believe me, they are worth the wait. Classic hot dogs with an Asian-twist. Spicy Mayo and ketchup, fried and griddled onions. It doesn’t get better than this.

Great tasty Houston street food for a bargain. There's usually a 10-20 minute line, but nothing to fret, plus people are super nice. Most definitely worth it. (Photos taken before COVID-19)

Really good hotdog stand. Really fun time in the line even thought it was fairly long. Very worth the wait for the delicious hotdog. It was cooked so well and it was very juicy. Watching the cook put it all together in front of you was very mouth watering. Overall, I'm very impressed.

Line can get long but worth the wait. They turned something simple into a whole art. We got the vegetarian hotdog and was happy to see he cooked them separately. Thank you!

Too long of a waiting line for hot dogs, These are way too over-hyped. Waited 1 hour and 30 mins. I had to take some of the toppings off because after a while it just tasted too salty, I didn’t even finish it.

Thank you sir, for the best hot dog I've ever had! My son brought us here, worth the wait for sure! Served one way but the best way yumm!
