"This newish mini-chain is a great option for — you guessed it — noodle dishes, but also makes some mean soup dumplings and a refreshing cucumber salad." - Missy Frederick, Eater Staff

This was our first visit to Yu Noodles in Fairfax, VA, thanks to a recommendation from friends. The food was authentic-tasting and delicious overall. However, some might find the flavors a bit lighter than expected. The portions were adequate, and while parking can be challenging during peak hours, the service was refreshingly speedy. Be aware that seating is limited, so expect a wait for larger groups.

The dining area isn't super large, but it is pleasant and I'd imagine it remains extremely busy as it was the evening we visited. The staff is friendly, fast, and efficient. My wife really liked the flounder soup, while me and my kids' favorite dish was the pork soup dumplings. Highly recommended, and we definitely plan to return!

I recently dined at Yu Noodles and had an outstanding experience. The Szechuan beef noodle was perfectly cooked, with tender beef and flavorful broth. The soup dumplings were exquisite, filled with savory broth and tender meat. Foods portions are right for the price. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with cool traditional Chinese décor. Highly recommend!

Our family had a great dinner here! Service was attentive and friendly, food was fresh and delicious. This restaurant is located in a shopping center and was very cozy inside. Highly recommend!!!

I came here for dinner with my wife, eho is Taiwanese. We had the cucumber in peanut garlic sauce, the Sichuan Beef Noodles, Chicken Thigh Noodle Soup, and pork soup dumplings. We enjoyed everything. The soups are generous portions. We find this to be the best noodle soup in the area

Google
Hands down the best chinese noodle shop fast food restaurant. This isn't a fast food chain but Yu Noodles is a chain and how chains should really be when it comes to fast food. The food comes fast and is delicious! It is not the product of a profit-driven company that seeks to establish a menu of addition based on mono-culture based food products. Rather Yu Noodles is just taking noodle recipes that have been cultivated through hundreds of years in Asia and delivering it hot and fast - go beat that fast-food-conglomerates. This place is really good - and it's honestly a great place for Thanksgiving too because that's where I took my family so one more bird can be free.

The service was great. Food came out very fast, staff was very nice and overall experience made me want to come back. Some of the items were a little too oily for my liking but overall the food was fresh, hot, and flavorful.

Yu noodles is always one of my go to spots and favorite restaurants at the moment. I always have a good meal here. I came for dinner on Friday. The restaurant isn’t too big and get quite busy during peak hours. Service is prompt and food comes out pretty quickly after ordering. I always get a couple of items per person when I come as the portions are not too big. The items that I always get is the scallion pancake, pan fried pork buns and the Chongqing noodles. The buns have that perfect crisp and are juicy inside. The noodles have an additive salty spicy combination! The cucumber water they give helps quench your thirst as well. Only thing about this place that I would ding them on is that you do feel slightly rushed when dining here. While this is not their fault since the restaurant gets busy and they want to turn over tables quickly. Anyway, I would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Gosh I have been dreaming about those dumplings for so long. I don't live very close. So when I was in the area I had to make time to dine in ( takeout doesn't do justice I think). N it didnot disappoint. I went overboard and ordered .... Chicken soup dumplings, spicy oil wonton and pan fried pork bun. Loved all of it. I am biased to the soup dumplings and the spicy wonton. Can't decide what's my favorite.... lol . Can't wait to go back again. The service was prompt. It was relatively busy considering it was not dinner time yet at 5pm.

Yelp
This was our first visit. One Asian friend said that the food was spicy, which has kept us away. But, after reading the menu in detail, we decided to give it a try on a blustery fall evening. We were seated immediately and given a carafe of ice water with the table set up and the menus. The wait staff gave us time to decide upon our selections. We ordered the S1 (Scallon pancakes), S3 (Panfried chive and pork dumplings), S4 (Panfried pork bun), hot tea, and one of the Black Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk and Mango. Everything was good. Perhaps a little oily, but still good. Note that in true Chinese fashion, the dishes came when they were ready and not in any particular order (i.e., wait to order desert). The price was reasonable with the bill being just under $40 for all of this plus tip. We plan on returning.

Yelp
Yu Noodles is a DMV gem when it comes for Authentic Chinese Dishes. It's a place that offers very quick service and affordable prices for food too compared to other chains or places that offer Chinese food. I got Chongqing Noodles or N1 based on the menu and while the presentation is colorful, it is not relatively spicy at all. I would take my words with a grain of salt because I can't say for anyone else that tries this dish out and thinks differently otherwise. The noodles were plentiful, soup was hearty, and it was just a delight to eat. I also got Pork Soup Dumplings too; which were also great to get. It comes with vinegar so add some in after biting the tip and drinking the delicious broth from the dumpling. It is so savory that I can order two of those and be content with only eating it. I will definitely have to come back for more; there's so much good food here!

Nichakorn C.

Yelp
There's not much to say--just come and try it! The food here is amazing, and the prices are even better. My go-to dishes are the beef intestines with noodles or rice, and the spicy cucumber salad is a must-have. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food at a great value!

Kimhouy T.

Yelp
The food is fine, but the service is sloooooow. Also, I don't understand how items that are ordered on a tablet in front of me suddenly go missing from the list of ordered items. We waited fifteen movie for an order of crullers, was told they were coming after wi asked about them, and then - "it wasn't ordered." I definitely am not motivated to come back.

Bo V.

Yelp
Last Sunday, our family of five came to Yu Noodles for dinner. It is a small restaurant. If you have a large group you may have to wait longer. We waited for about 30 minutes. Once we were seated, the service was extremely fast. The staff was friendly. We ordered - pork soup dumplings - peppercorn spicy soup dumplings - scallion pancakes - minced pork over rice - spicy wonton - Panfried chive and pork dumplings - Yibin spicy dry noodles - Sichuan spicy noodle soup The peppercorn spicy soup dumplings weren't spicy and not as good as the pork soup dumplings. The portion for Yibin dry noodles was small (see picture). Other than that, we liked the rest of the dishes, especially the Sichuan spicy noodles soup. The portion was good and it had vegetables and lots of beef. My kids enjoyed the crispy scallion pancakes. The price was reasonable. We will come back again to try other dishes soon.

Lily H.

Yelp
Yu has unfortunately gone downhill. We recently ordered take out and what we received was disappointing. The sweet and sour noodles historically can with glass potato noodles - this dish always does everywhere. They must be trying to save cost since what we got was soggy fall apart white noodles. The minced pork/egg over rice dish was tiny like it was off a kids menu. We requested chopsticks and received none.

Mariella M.

Yelp
I like this place alot. In the fall I frequent this location very often I love their spicy beef noodle soup. Service is hit or miss, depending on who you get as a waiter/waitress. Overall expect if you come during the lunch or dinner rush, to wait for a table, they do not take reservations. It does get a bit noisy in the restaurant during the rush. The ambiance is casual. Once they sat me next to one of their employees rolling dumplings, that was fun to watch. Also be sure to try their soup dumplings! They are a must

Christina N.

Yelp
A great spot for affordable dim sum is located in a place with tons of parking. The service was quick and attentive, with servers bringing out the food at a rapid pace. It's a large space with plenty of seating available, but the tables for two are a bit small and barely fit our three dishes, even with our waiter telling us to put our water pitcher on the table next to us. The yibin spicy dry noodles (n5) were good. The noodles were nice, chewy, and flavorful but I wish they were a little bit spicier. If you don't have great spice tolerance I think you'll still enjoy it! We also ordered the cucumbers with garlic sauce (a7), which were refreshing and crunchy. They were smashed cucumbers and seemed to not have been marinating in the garlic sauce (very fresh), but I prefer it that way. It's one of the only vegetable dishes available, so it was a much-needed reprieve throughout the meal. Lastly, we ordered the pork dumplings which were solid. They were filled with a good amount of soup but weren't too hot. They're a good size so you can eat them in one bite. They have a nice flavor and would definitely satisfy a craving!

David N.

Yelp
I came here to grab a quick bite near my hotel while in Fairfax, VA. I decided to try this place out and ordered the Porkchop Over Rice with Poached Egg and Spicy Oil Wonton. The rice dish was mediocre; it reminded me of a simple meal I would prepare at home. The spicy oil wonton was similar. If you're in the area and craving a quick Chinese meal, this place would be worth a visit.

Farhat K.

Yelp
Finally checked out Yu Noodles and it was solid. My fav item was the chili oil wontons, absolute fire. The yibin spicy dry noodle with pork was good, but the flavor was a little bland, and it's not spicy. The soup dumplings were delicious, and the scallion pancake was on point. Also, everything is priced well which I appreciate. Logistically, plenty of parking outside. The decor is nice inside and if you have a party of 2 or 4, you can find easy seating if not busy. The service was extremely fast which is awesome. Will def need to come back and try some of their other dishes.

Casey Lyn B.

Yelp
Found a good dim sum spot in the VA area. Service was really quick, maybe too quick at times. the setting fit well with the food they're serving and place is kept really clean. The cucumber side is really good! any dumpling was great to me! I would definitely come here again!

Michelle K.

Yelp
We ordered peppercorns & spicy chicken, and couple of soup dumplings. The peppercorns & spicy chicken was a bit bland and spicy at all. The soup dumplings were pleasantly nice. The service was ok, nothing to boast about. Place was not crowded at all. Probably won't go again.

Caryna F.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick lunch yesterday. I haven't been back since they very first opened. Don't know why. Anyway, I really like the improvement to the interior design. Menu looked great. Service was friendly and nice. I had the soup with the chicken leg and homemade noodle. My daughter had a spicier noodle. Not crazy spicy. And we had the pork soup dumpling. All yummy. I was pleased by the "not jacked up post Covid prices"...easy to afford to pop in for a quick bite. We will be back soon!

Tanny D.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this spot for a long time and finally got the chance to check it out. Heads up, all parties need to be there in order to be sat. We got the cucumbers with garlic sauce which might have been one of my favorite dishes I've tried here. I also got the pork soup dumplings and shrimp n pork soup dumplings. The pork ones were definitely better. I got the chongqing noodles with minced pork and it was good but that schezwan flavor was a little overwhelming for me personally. I think next time I will stick to dumplings.

Frances S.

Yelp
Ive been wanting to try this place for a while. I usually judge how authentic a Chinese restaurant is by how much offal is on the menu. This place looked legit, and i had a hankering for soup dumplings. I was the first customer in for lunch so the service was perfect. This was the first time I had scallion pancakes that were deep fried and not pan fried. Can't say I loved it. The pork in the pan fried buns seemed ground in house (I got a small chunk of bone) and was not the sweet roasted pork you sometimes get in buns but was savory. The broth in the dumplings was good but there wasn't very much of it. I'd love to go again and try the noodles. They look pretty great.

Steven T.

Yelp
Was craving some Chinese food and heard this was one of the best places for it. This place definitely hits the spot! The noodles were good - nice texture and a decent soup/sauce. The soup dumplings were good, but the Pan Fried Pork Buns were great! Service was quick and helpful also. The food here was also very affordable as well!

Aya F.

Yelp
This place really hits the spot for us when we are craving good dumplings and noodle soup. Our family favs are the Flounder with Sour Cabbage Noodle Soup, Shrimp & Pork Soup Dumplings, Pan Fried Pork Bun, Spicy Oil Wonton, and especially the Cucumber with Garlic Sauce! Not a big place, so not great for big groups. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is. But always friendly.

Vina H.

Yelp
Love this noodle place. The cousins and I decided to stop by for some nooldes and soup dumplings on a cold rainy day! I got the N5 which is dry noodles and minced pork. It was perfect tasting with the amount of moist and dry. The soupdumplings was perfect to the taste. We like to make a little hole and put the ginger inside the dumplings and eat it that way. I didn't use any sauce for my dumplings. The beef noodles (n4) has been my dad's favorite as it it the perfect amount of noodles and soup! We got our order taken within 3 minutes of sitting and our order came out within 10 minutes ordering which is perfect! This place is perfect for small parties as the wait time won't be as long but if you havr more than 4 people in your party, it will be close to an hour time wait even if you go on a weekday. Scalion pancakes is our favorite appetizer. We love how crispy it is! P.S. they have two location. One is in Herndon and the other is here in Fairfax. Also, they have a new cleaner and much more professional looking menu!

Daniel T.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat these days. They have been around for a minute...even inspired some imitators in recent years so you know that means they are good. The sichuan beef noodle soup, potato tower, beef over rice, noodle in scallion oil, all soup dumplings, and scallion pancakes are all good. Among one of the nicer and cleaner looking Chinese places in the area. They do get busy so try to come during off times. Family friendly, not very expensive, very delicious and authentic Chinese food.

Zaid Y.

Yelp
First time trying Yu Noodles after hearing many good reviews. In my opinion, it lived up to the hype. The service was good and the interior was nice, but a little cramped. Now for the food, I thought enjoyed each this. For appetizers, I had the Potato Tower and the Soup Dumplings. Both were flavorful, hot, and overall amazing. For my entree, I ordered the Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup, which I loved. The broth was flavorful and spicy. The meat was tender and juicy. The noodles were good and different from what I'm used to. Overall, I enjoyed all the dishes and was sent on a one way trip to Flavortown, as it was bombastic!

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Still a 5/5. We got a lot of food and a pot of tea all for $60. My husband said the wings were the crispiest he's ever had! Maybe the only thing I would not reorder was the shumai stuffed rice as it was alright but I wanted more room for the dumplings.

Yulee K.

Yelp
The chongqing noodles and pork over rice were both delicious! I would skip on the soup dumplings because the dumpling skin was too thick for my taste.

Angel P.

Yelp
I came at 11:30am on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy, but then there was a line outside around 12pm. We ordered the Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup and Pork Soup Dumplings. Now Sichuan cuisine is very spicy, however the Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup wasn't spicy so I was disappointed. I had to add 3 spoonfuls of chili oil to my bowl. The broth was decent, however I enjoyed the sliced beef and noodles. One of the two soup dumplings I ate, one didn't have any soup. I wish there was more soup in the one that had soup in it. I prefer the dough to be thinner, but it was decent. This wouldn't be my go-to place for soup dumplings in the DMV. I also ordered Yibin Spicy Dry Noodle for take out. I did took awhile since the restaurant was busy. It was good, and had a good amount of spice. I would rate it a 3.5/5, rounding up to a 4/5.

Terri D.

Yelp
wow this place is busy! on the smaller side, so def come early to get a table. came with friends and was distracted, so didn't fully peruse the menu. ended up ordering 3 types of soup dumplings and a couple of noodle dishes. the noodle dishes were good, but very similar (again, should have taken more time with the menu). the soup dumplings were spot on - and I'm usually not a fan. don't expect perfect service - shrugs, the food is the big attraction.

Diana T.

Yelp
We've been eyeing this restaurant for a while and decided to give it a try when we were in town recently. We nearly loved everything we ordered: Spicy wontons - We ended up ordering another one because it was so tasty. It had the perfect amount of spice and was addicting. Cucumber salad - This dish was okay, there wasn't anything really special about it and it lacked garlic flavor. Sesame noodles w/ minced pork and shrimp - We loved this dish except for the shrimp which was kind of mushy and seemed old. Beef rice noodle in golden soup - This was absolutely delicious but it wasn't what we expected. The soup was sour which we didn't know from the description. But definitely tasty and we would get it again. Pork soup dumplings - This was okay. Like the other reviews that were shared, the wrapper could of been thinner and it could have had more soup in it. Overall we had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

Peps A.

Yelp
Yu Noodles was a good surprise for me as I've been looking for great szechuan Chinese food in Nova since tasting it in NY. My favorite dish was the soup dumplings, which burst with hot yumminess, and the spicy wontons. The table's spicy chili condiment was a delightful bonus. You can't go wrong with any dish on their menu. The restaurant is on the smaller side and can get quite crowded, with tables placed close together, making for a potentially loud atmosphere. Expect a wait during peak hours. Overall it's a great choice for some szechuan cuisine.

Christine L.

Yelp
My friend highly recommended this place to check out for authentic noodles. We were greeted immediately entering the restaurant by really friendly staff. We came around lunch time on a weekday and they had some folks there! They serve either tea or water when you sit down. All the noodle options sounded really good! I was with a friend who had sesame allergy, so they do have a lot of their dishes with sesame oil. I tried the cool noodles and they were super flavorful and a good portion. We also got the soup pork dumplings which was the star dish of the day. We'd come back to try their other dishes!

Cynthia C.

Yelp
This is a great affordable option for Chinese food in the area! The space is bright and relatively open, the staff is kind and very efficient, and the food came out very quickly. While it is great for the price point, the food wasn't very memorable. The yibin spicy dry noodles were packed with flavor but a tad oily, so the cucumber side dish we got was a great pairing. There aren't too many veggie options just as an FYI! The pork soup dumplings were good but nothing spectacular. They weren't very hot when they came out, and they didn't have too much soup in them.

Julia W.

Yelp
Tables are very close together and it is quite noisy in the restaurant since they don't have much sound proofing. Noodles were solid but nothing stood out to me as amazing. I liked the Flounder with Sour Picked Cabbage Noodles the best. Portion size of the noodles was acceptable. Scallion pancakes were very crispy and good flavor. The few xiaolongbao that I ate didn't have any soup in them. Maybe some of them had soup, but I ate at least two and neither of them had soup. Service was good and fast. Overall solid place and willing to return to try more dishes.

Rachel Y.

Yelp
We had the chicken leg over rice, beef over rice, and spicy chili oil wontons the other night. Our favorites were definitely the chicken leg over rice and the wontons. The beef in the rice dish was a bit dry and reminded me of the texture of the one you'd find in the beef noodle soup or bun Bo hue. The service here was great. We were greeted when we came in, and our water was never empty. Tables are a bit small here, and it's a bit more of an intimate place. I did enjoy our dinner, and will be back to try other things on the menu.

Karen L.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place and it is legit! Would have been 5 stars except there was hair in our food. It is unfortunate because they wears masks and gloves and all when they serve you. The service was quick and there are recommended options and plenty of suggestions. We went with the intestine soup and beef noodle soup which both were delicious. They come in large bowls and the soup was spicy and flavorful. The soup dumplings were delicious and very meaty filling. I am excited to go back and try other dishes on the menu!

MR H.

Yelp
Food: I like their soups and soup dumplings. My favorite is their intestines (nice malatang to it). If you're not sure to get or you plan to share with a group, you can order a bunch of add ons/appetizers/snacks instead to split. The portions in general are pretty generous. Service: polite and efficient and clean Ambiance: family restaurant vibes. I used to be a regular because of the price and quality of the food, but now it's hard to get a table.

Brenda G.

Yelp
I haven't tried all my food yet. But I walked in during work day hours after the lunch hour. To be exact it was 2:30. I asked for a corner table so I could continue working while I ate. They said no it was a 3 top. But it wasn't packed and there were several open tables. I saw a single table in the corner and denied me that spot also stating that at some point their staff would take lunch there. However, the table was set for regular use. I just asked kindly if I could please use it only cuz I'm working. He said what's the difference if you sit there vs a small two person table in the middle of the walk way. I wish I had taken pictures. So they were just plain rude to talk to me like that instead of kindly declining. He had an attitude from the jump. So I walked out. But I was really hungry and saw great reviews for their food. I proceeded to order online so they wouldn't know it's me and not spit on my food or try anything spiteful. Despite my best efforts this is what I received. I looked at the pictures prior to ordering. Also it's one of my favorite appetizer that I've had elsewhere and it's normally soft and flaky. It's also worth noting I waited about 10+ mins in my car but still walked in prior to my order being ready so they were able to connect my face to the online order. I'm not sure if it was intentional but it felt that way. I will update this post once I open the rest of the food. Oh and the receipt states if you pay in cash it is 5% off. I did not receive the correct change I asked for the receipt and he dismissed me saying it's on my bag so I would get it when I get my food. Snappy! Update on the rest of the food: the wonton in oil was sooooooo good!!!! The scallion oil noodles over chicken lacked flavor. I would go back for the wonton in spicy oil. If I was able to sit down and eat there, I would try the spicy sichuan beef noodles that I read great reviews about. That was my intent. But did not think it would travel well for the first time.

Victoria C.

Yelp
I met up with some friends for lunch here on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised! We had agreed to meet at noon, but we were running way early and got in around 11:45 am. Luckily we did, it was pretty packed and we got the last table of 4. It's a pretty small restaurant. Service is quick and efficent. They're not particularly friendly, but it doesn't really take away from anything. We got an order of the scallion pancakes and the pork soup dumplings to share among the 4 of us. My husband got the Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup while I went for the noodles in scallion oil with chicken. My friends also got a beef noodle soup and a Yibin Spicy Dry Noodle. We also got some hot tea. The food came out quickly with the soup dumplings and pancakes coming out first. I loved the scallion pancakes. They're cooked well and slightly fluffy. They have chili oil and soy sauce on the table. The soup dumplings were eh. The flavor seemed a little off and there wasn't really any soup in there. Maybe we got a bad batch, but I probably wouldn't order these again. The noodles were really good. The Sichuan beef noodles had a slight kick to them, but they weren't that spicy. I really enjoyed the noodles in scallion oil with chicken. The noodles were super flavorful, and I enjoyed the lightness the fresh veggies added. I tried my friends Yibin spicy noodles and thought those were the best out of the 3 we had. They were delicious and even more flavorful then the scallion oil noodles. I would definitely come back here to satisfy and noodle cravings!

Anna H.

Yelp
Yu Noodles has been getting a lot of hype from my high school friends and foodfluencers in NOVA, so my best friend and I went to see if it was worth it. The portions are pretty generous and the price is more than reasonable! I hope that they keep it this way, because I will come back to try more of their menu. While the noodles weren't the best I've ever had, I think the flavor profile is strong enough that it's tasty but not overpowering. Do note that the spice ratings are for a target audience of spice-intolerant people -- I ordered the Yibin Spicy Dry Noodle with Minced Pork (two pepper rating) and I, despite my pretty mid spice tolerance, didn't find it spicy.

Ben Y.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic noodles. Service was quick. The broth of the beef schezuan noodles was spicy enough to make my nose run but not enough to make me want to die. Fantastic spice. The soup dumplings were also quite good too. The skin was thin but not so thin that it rips when you take it out of the bamboo steamer. The only complain I have is the price of the dumplings is just like a few dollars too much and the soy sauce/black vinegar containers look virtually identical. Aside from that lovely experience. Will absolutely come back.

Maria N.

Yelp
Great service. Good options. delicious food. Been here a few times and the food is consistently good.

Jae P.

Yelp
Ton of options for a bowl of noodles and authentic Chinese dishes + appetizers. The variety of soup dumplings are nice and I loved the different colored wrappers - I tried the spicy peppercorn and it was not bad. There wasn't that much soup inside the dumplings and the flavor met the mark. The beef noodle soup was also pretty flavorful and the meat was tender. The broth wasn't as spicy or rich as I'd like but it was overall a delicious meal for anyone craving some Chinese noodles & soup.

Yan W.

Yelp
Good authentic noodles, but it's not quite my flavor profile. The noodle soups were fine but the appetizer offerings and the soup dumplings were a disappointment. I like Theo McLean location just a little bit better.

Lina J.

Yelp
I've really enjoyed each visit I've had to Yu Noodles! The first time I came here was on the recommendation of a family friend for a family outing. My parents, who are usually picky when it comes to Asian food, enjoyed dining here. We got a bunch of dishes and ate family style. We sampled a bunch of noodles and appetizers. We felt the food was authentic and delish! I came back just with my SO a few weeks later and also enjoyed this place as a weekend lunch/brunch. I feel like the menu is pretty simple and not too overwhelming for a noodle/dim-sum like place. The food comes out quickly and the flavor is always on point. The staff are friendly and attentive. I like how versatile this place is - somewhere where I can bring my parents for a meal but also somewhere where I can come for a casual meal as well. I felt this place was a gem and I will definitely be back!

Emily H.

Yelp
Our party of 11 enjoyed coming here! Here's what we ordered: Spicy Oil Wonton 10/10 - imo the best appetizer - wontons are perfectly chewy Cucumber with Garlic Sauce 8/10 - a nice vegetable side, refreshing - very subtle Scallion Pancake 7.5/10 - crisp Pork Soup Dumpling 9/10 - balanced bite of hot soup, meat, and dumpling itself Yibin Spicy Dry Noodle 10/10 - topped with minced pork, peanuts, bell pepper, etc - spice is noticeable but not overwhelming - sauce is delicious and noodles mix well Service was quick to take our party's order and prepare our food. I highly recommend getting the Yibin Spicy Dry noodle and the spicy oil wontons if you come here!

Grace N.

Yelp
I was craving some XLB and was staying at my friend's house in Oakton (I'm from California) so I was searching Yelp for a place with XLB. I found Yu Noodles and based on the photos, I decided to give them a try! I'm so glad I did! My friend and I enjoyed the XLB and other items we ordered a lot! We were not that hungry but just craving some Chinese food so we did not order a lot. But we got XLB, the pork and chives ones, then the panfried dumplings, which I thought was the big buns panfried but they were actually gyoza... I just didnt know what to call it because I only saw it from the photos. But, their gyoza was sooo good too! Yummm.... Then we got the spicy oil wontons, which was okay, it was way too much chili oil.. and lastly, the cucumber salad. This was also in garlic chili oil, same as the spicy oil wonton. Overall, I would come here again if I live close by for their XLB. They are so good and yummy and juicy! I would also try their noodle soup too..

Lindsay P.

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming here a lot lately and it's because the food is so good! We have been attempting to try different dishes each time we go and it's usually pretty quick to order your food and they start coming out fast so make sure to clear your table for space! My favorite items so far are the spicy cucumbers, sesame paste shrimp noodles, and the soup dumplings. Make sure to come with a big appetite so you can try lots of items!

Yelp
I ordered the pork chop noodle soup for my kids via Uber Eats and as soon as I opened the soup container I knew the soup is off. The color is super artificially white so I'm sure they used packaged instant seasoning of some sort to make it that color, and it's not from the restaurant actually boiling bone broth for a long time. After tasting the soup broth I can pretty much confirm my suspicion and felt uncomfortable giving it to my kids. Some other stuff from the menu is okay but I won't be ordering this item again. It's unfortunate that restaurants these days are taking so many short cuts.

Yelp
My friends and I try this place out and it was packed and thought oh maybe it's really good. I started to order and next thing I know 21 items arrive to the table. Everyone look over at our table lol. Some items were very delicious and some were a little off. The restaurant itself was clean, staff were friendly and it got a little loud just by people talking alone.

Yelp
The service at Yu Noodles was very attentive and quick. Our soup dumplings came out hot and were yummy. Lots of flavor in the broth inside the dumplings. Soup dumplings were good size too, not too large and relatively easy to eat in one go. The Sichuan Beef Noodle Soup was surprisingly underwhelming and not spicy. We thought the soup would have more of that spicy mouth numbing sensation. The Yibin Spicy Dry Noodles were better in my opinion. All of the spices and sauces combined to create a flavorful noodle dish.
