"A firm favourite among locals, this shop doesn’t have a name, but regulars call it ‘the milkfish shop next to the big tree under a balcony’. Unsurprisingly, one can expect to find various cuts of milkfish on the menu: the fatty belly, skin, intestines and fish balls. The broth is hot and filling. The minced fish and mushroom balls are juicy. Their fish skin is actually more of a minced fish cake with the skin on it rather than whole slices of fish, so it has more of a chewy mouth-feel It's usually crowded and chaotic so you'll need to wait a sec for a seat. Seating is also outside but the rotating fans make it tolerable

Milkfish specialty street deli. A typical early breakfast for the locals. Come early if you don’t want to wait in line or share a table with others. Milkfish skin and milkfish ball soup + diced meat sauce over rice were what I ordered today. Try different combinations if felt in love with the distinct taste of milkfish.

My first milk fish belly soup in my life, and I’m glad to have it here in Tainan since the city is famous for its super fresh milk fish cuisines. The milk fish belly is huge, tender, fresh, and boneless... and of course, tasty. Staffs here were nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

Correct combo for two: 魚皮+魚肚1 魚丸湯1 肉燥飯小1(hubby) $190 We came here two mornings in a row! 2021.5.2 No AC, outdoor. Most be cooking hot in the summer. Maybe don’t order fish tummy in the summer. The oil doesn’t go with hot weather. Reusable utensils check.
