"After a long day on the trails, or attempting to scramble up some rocks, an unfussy hearty meal is in order. Yucca Kabob is available as a low-key spot that serves its outstanding eponymous kebabs, plus shawarma, falafel, and more. Founded by a Jordanian family over a decade ago, the kebabs and mezze are comparable to top Los Angeles spots, making it one of the valley’s best dining destinations. If going with a group, consider the family entrees section, which features menu dishes big enough to feed six to eight people." - Mona Holmes, Matthew Kang

Food was very delicious and filling. It was tasty and flavourful. However, we arrived on a Tuesday at 7:40 PM and we were told that we were unable to be served on plates and had to dine-in with takeout containers and plastic cutlery. We were surprised by this because the restaurant closed at 9 PM. Also, the server was a bit dismissive and never checked in with us. Overall would be an excellent place to order takeout.

This place has excellent food! We come here every time we are in Joshua tree and we are never disappointed. The chicken schwarma is amazing. However I do really wish they did not put noodles in the rice so gluten free people could enjoy it too.

Stopped in for a quick bite. I expected okay food, but what we got was exceptional. We ordered the family maza so we could try a little of several appetizers. My wife ordered the Greek salad for her main, and I ordered the gyro shawarma. Everything was VERY good. I am recommending this restaurant to all of my friends.

A hidden gem in the middle of the desert! This place had delicious hummus, one of the best we’ve ever had. The main kabob plate was very filling, and everything was seasoned very well — the chicken and beef were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend.

Dude. This place may not look like much on the outside, but who cares? The food is out of this world. I ate here three years ago and loved the hummus so much I bought a vat to go. I took it on the road with me to Vegas with no fridge and risked food poisoning because even after three days I refused to stop eating it until I was scraping the container with my finger. I don’t know what they put in that stuff, but it’s probably not legal. Anywhoo, finally got to go back, and guess what? It’s better than I remember. And the service is awesome, too.

Food tasted not terrible, but also not even okay. Everything was too much, but in a bad way. Lemon soup is too sour, the kebab was too dry, and everything else was too salty.

I have been to many middle eastern restaurants from SF, LA, to SD. This has been the most freshest and authentic tasting! Diwali, stuffed grape leaf appetizer was tangy and plump. The beef kaboom was seared to perfection with the most tender medium rare center ever. The yellow rice pilaf, mansaf, was fluffy and flavorful. The humus was silky toped with sumac/paprika. The owners/operators are Jordian so you know the hospitality is unmatched. Love finding a jewel of place as we adventure through different cities while motocamping! We will be back!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Middle Eastern food critic here and this place passes. You could not go wrong with anything but definitely recommend a gyro or platter. Finished off with a turkish coffee that was smooth. Casual place that has really fast service.
