This is a fun, family-friendly place to spend a few hours if you like Yuengling beer.
I had been wanting to try out the Yuengling Draft Haus for a while. The pictures of the outdoor space with the shuffleboard and bocce ball were so appealing.
The kids loved it. After we ordered our food, my husband took them outside to run around and play shuffleboard. As it's late winter, it's already warm enough to play outside at night, and the mosquitos aren't bad yet. I don't know if we'd enjoy the experience as much in humid July. My husband noted that the shuffleboard sticks were in horrible shape, and that the way that the floor was prepared made it impossible to play the game with any finesse, but for kids, it was fine.
I love that there are all sorts of random flavors of Yuengling, and that there are Yuengling "cocktails." I had the mango mojito, and it was a delight. I also tried the pineapple mule, and it was fine but not as good as the mojito.
We stared with the DIY deviled eggs and the nosh board. The deviled eggs were fine, and the kids got a kick out of squeezing out the filling. I could have lived without the nosh board. Everything was pretty mediocre, bland pimiento cheese, too many pickles, way too much sauerkraut preserves. I wish they hadn't mixed the pecans with the pickles as they got soggy and vinegar-y.
For my main, I had the brat-ktoberbest. The bratwurst were okay, not the best I've had. The mashed potatoes were dry, and I wish they had given more sauerkraut for this dish. My husband and son really enjoyed their burgers. My daughter had the kids chicken tenders with a side of mac and cheese. She really liked the mac and cheese but thought the tenders were too juicy (note: I thought the tenders were great! I hate overcooked chicken).
All in all, this is a fun place if you're going to play outdoors. The drinks are fun. I wouldn't necessarily come here just for the food.
