"Behind an unassuming façade is this buzzy, industrial-style restaurant, where powerful music plays and a super-friendly team bring the dishes as and when they’re ready. These are good value small plates of Asian fusion cooking; the Iberico pork is a must and there are Asian-influenced cocktails to accompany." - Michelin Inspector

Google
A must-visit spot if you’re craving flavor-packed Asian tapas in Belfast. Each small dish bursts with delicious, diverse tastes—from spicy dumplings to savory buns. The vibrant atmosphere pairs perfectly with attentive service. Ideal for sharing and tasting your way through great food in a friendly, upscale setting.

The place is quite nice, and the atmosphere is unique. They have separate menus for lunch and dinner, and I tried the dinner menu. The tempura broccoli was my favorite, followed by the prawn toast. I also had the Ibérico pork, but the toast was a bit strong—maybe just for me—since the pork was very tender. I’ll definitely come back to try more options.

Tasty, unique dishes that you won't find anywhere else. Very creative menu and everything we tried exceeded our expectations. A little bit expensive, but definitely worth it!

Tasty, creative Asian dishes and a diverse menu offering. We ordered a selection of fish and vegetarian dishes and everything tasted fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned. Expect to pay slightly more than average but overall the experience, food and service offer good value for money. If you like and appreciate this review please give it a like or a thumbs up so that I know what content to include in future reviews.

Went for dinner with my husband and ordered 2 large dishes and 2 small plates each followed by a desert. The padron peppers, iberico pork, and the duck truffle fried rice were particularly good. There were a few cons that made our experience not so great. I felt that the cocktails were overpriced (£12), considering most of the glass was filled with ice. Also we were seated in a booth behind a huge pillar beside the toilets and underneath the aircon. The restaurant itself is full of ambience when you enter but I felt like we didn't get to experience this because we couldn't see anything where we were sitting. It was a busy night as it was Valentines but we had booked it 6 weeks in advance. The service was very quick and friendly, however everytime we finished a plate they were over to take it away immediately even though we were still eating. I have never experienced this in a restaurant before and we both found it a bit unprofessional. They must of been over around 6 times to take things away throughout the duration of our meal. Not great when you’re trying to enjoy your food as it makes you feel a bit rushed and constantly interrupted. I could tell that the servers had been instructed to do this, but I feel this is something the restaurant should reconsider doing as it was very off putting. I would maybe return again although next time we would hopefully be seated at a nicer table amongst the hustle and bustle of the restaurant so we could experience it properly.

Must visit in Belfast. Firstly every drink was on point. Yuzu Spritz and Kiwi Mojito were unbelievable. The dishes come out sporadically so dont expect them all at once. Having said this. The rice which we assumed as an accompaniment to all of the dishes. Was served second to last, which meant it was rendered practically useless. The torched seabass was the highlight. An unbelievable bite. Bluefin Tuna Nigiri was also incredible. Crispy pork dumplings were ok yet the interior lacked a slight pop. The taste of the broccoli tempura paired with the accompanying sauce was delightful yet tasted very oily. The sirloin was cooked to perfection, and tasted great yet slightly dry. At 21:30 after only being there for an hour. We were told kitchen was closing, whilst kitchen staff scrambled past with washing up which dampened the atmosphere slightly. Nonetheless a stellar evening. Highly recommend.

Yelp
YuGo was a breath of fresh air in Belfast! We were surprised to find contemporary Asian inspired cuisine in the area and were so excited to have dinner at YuGo. The dining area is very chic with lots of sleek lines. Very elegant but modern style. Loved all the tableware as well - everything seemed earthy and hand thrown. Our favorites of the night were hands down the duck and truffle fried rice - we all fought for this dish toward the end. It was one of the most unctuous bites of food that I've ever had. The fried rice was PERFECT - each grain of rice was coated in beautiful fat and was the homiest and warmest kind of dish. Would come back for this alone. I highly recommend coming to YuGo, especially if you have a large group and want to try a variety of dishes. All the flavors and cook were spot on, and we really enjoyed our time. Thank you YuGo!

Yelp
This place was so great!! We arrived at around 8 on Wednesday and it was fairly busy but they luckily had a table for us. Once seated they immediately came with water and we gave our drink order. We decided what to eat fairly quickly so when they came back they were ready to take our order! I feel like from sitting down to receiving our food it took maybe 10 minutes. Definitely the quickest service and exactly what we needed because we were so hungry! The food was incredible! They are very small portions so they recommend 2-3 per person. We also got the chef's sushi selection and it was so yummy, the fish was so fresh! I was afraid I wouldn't be full but after the meal I was perfectly full. The whole vibe of the restaurant was also great! Busy but not overwhelming and beautiful plates and presentation of the food! Would recommend!

Yelp
While visiting Belfast we were lost looking for a restaurant that apparently closed down and stumbled onto this place. A local was standing outside and told us to eat here. It was the best. So we loved it so much we ate there twice in 3 days. Consider a reservation as it is busy. We ordered a ton of food to share and everything was so delicious. Service was awesome. Hope to one day return to Belfast and to Yugo.

Yelp
Food is Amazing. Tapas style small plates. Service & ambiance is Great! Happened upon this place while walking by. Must try! Would definitely come back again.

Yelp
The drinks were fantastic. The food was middling. The service was weird-good, then bad, then great, then awful. We had four different service staff. Two were polite but not attentive, one was absent but seemed nice enough, the other was just confusing. I would try it again for happy hour and sit at the bar.

Yelp
I would have given it 5 star if I had left the restaurant full But I guess I have a bigger appetite! The food on the other hand, even with the mini quantity, was super delicious! I tried the softshell crab bun and the salmon! I loved how crunchy and juicy the crab was with a hint of spicy!!

Yelp
Food was amazing. Service was okay. Probably my favorite restaurant in Belfast or top 3. Loved the cured salmon and the fried chicken thigh inside the lettuce wrap. Also loved the braised short rib but could do without the soup. Will definitely be back here again and hoping to get friendlier service/waiter.

Yelp
Had a family dinner tonight (Thursday 8 December 2016) in Yugo. It was a great experience. Fantastic to see quite a few really superb vegetarian options on the menu including tofu. Plus we were delighted to discover chips are cooked in soya bean oil not animal fat. I ate vegetarian but I reckon if asked they could easily veganise dishes. Although Yugo is Asian Fusion our Waitress advised us that their Chefs don't use fish stock/sauce in any dish - instead it's a vegetarian alternative. We had a feast of Graw Po Tofu, Chips with Belfast Curry, Roast Brussels with Cranberry, Chilli & Mint and Tofu Pad Thai. Everything was uniquely flavoured and absolutely delicious. Yugo menu doesn't clearly mark dishes as vegetarian or vegan (would love to see this) but staff were super helpful answering all our questions and pointing out the veggie options. I would highly recommend this restaurant. All my family loved it and we can't wait to return for another beautiful meal. Currently there just isn't another restaurant quite like this in Belfast offering such a perfect combination of fine Asian food, quality veggie options, pleasant staff and warm decor. Desserts are Devine as well ;-)

Yelp
Having seen photos of YuGo we were keen on giving it a go. So we decided to head down on a Friday evening (9th December), obviously with it being a Friday we thought we better book so I dropped YuGo a message to see if we could get a table for two. Something to note is that at the minute they don't offer a booking service, walk ins only. But they guarantee you won't be waiting too long. With that all sorted we arrived at about 7:30pm and to our delight we were shown to a vacant table. The decor is incredible, it has all the trappings of a typical Asian restaurant but with a modern minimal twist, hanging authentic lampshades dominate the entrance creating a welcoming ambiance. The seating arrangement is great, making great use of the small space and giving the option to sit along the bar. I say bar but this is actually a window in to an open plan kitchen. Seeing the chefs cooking is an experience in itself and I think this is a fantastic idea. Once we were seated we were approached by the friendliest of staff (they all seemed to be super chipper and well drilled), she explained the menu which is broken down in to 'smalls, 'bigs' and 'desserts'. After reading the menu and hearing the specials we decided to go for Pork Dumplings & Bao Bun followed by Belfast Curry and a special that wasn't on the menu but was described as an Asian KFC (See the pics). We were advised that the food would come as it was ready which wasn't a problem for us. When the food came we couldn't have been more impressed. The dumplings were some of the best I've ever had, I wish they came in a 'big'. My main was an absolute masterpiece. 3 huge bits of chicken (2 wings and 1 breast) that had been breaded and lightly spiced in asian salt and chilli. They came with a gravy that will blow your mind - it was like the KFC kind with an asian kick - I can't describe just how amazing it was, I was fully tempted to pour it in to my pint glass and just drink it straight. The biggest compliment I can give YuGo is that you don't feel like you're dining in Belfast - This is Michelin star restaurant food without the pomp and ceremony but with the incredible style and service!

Yelp
Great place for Asian fusion. Lots of flavors without being overwhelming. Good selection of small and big dishes. Although I didn't order the sushi the group next time really enjoyed it so I'll try that on my next visit. I don't have much to complain about. Staff was attentive and helpful. Music was a little loud but enjoyable didn't have to talk too much over it. Cocktails were very good and unique. I had the Massaman short rib curry with fried rice and boa buns to start. All very good and I would recommend them. My kid was with us and he was well taken care of even though it was not necessarily a kid friendly place. All in all I think it's an A-plus place to meet with friends or on a date.

Yelp
(Note: Not written by me) Oh I have an idea. How about YU GO to YuGo because it's flipping delicious. Had the bao duck and bao chicken. I liked the duck the best. My bf likes the chicken but he's an idiot. All jokes aside, though, both were delicious. So you can't go wrong. Next we had the Panang curry. Seriously...so good. I don't love super spicy stuff because my mom is Irish and the only add-one we ever had in our food was butter and salt, so this was perfect for me. My BF said it wasn't spicy enough for him, but then five minutes later, he was complaining that his shaved head was sweating. So whatever. Also got a few sides just so we could try more things. The fried rice was amazeballs. Have never had fried rice with ham and peas. I guess thats where the euro fusion comes in? Fancy. It was so good. I wish I had scooped the rest into my fanny pack to take with us on our hike to the Mourne Mountains tomorrow. But alas, I will have to settle for some dumb white girl snack like granola or dried mango. Got the cabbage salad too and the halibut in an attempt to stay healthy. It was amazing too. Definitely will come back if I'm ever in Belfast again.

Yelp
They have cancelled two reservations with no warning even though we offered to pay a deposit. Really bad form and not enticing to any clientele.
