The Minnetonka Yum is the best location! Service is friendly - the staff is always great. Good atmosphere, great portions, flavors and food. We love the California Scramble and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Of course the coffee is delicious.

Google
Food was exceptionally good, very friendly people (host and cashiers were very nice) Service 100000/100 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food came faster than we expected, we were in rush, which was very thoughtful. We will definitely come back again, and spend more time enjoying excellent and tasty food! Thank you for atmosphere you built and service you provide💖

Google
First impression I’m in love with this place! I ordered my food over the phone as I wanted to pay in person. The customer service was good. When I got there, parking was not so great. I tried to be positive though and realized I’m just getting more steps on a beautiful day! There was a bit of a line and someone was immediately there to ask me if they could be of any assistance and to offer a close-up personal menu. The customer service was just amazing. They hire people that truly care and want to be here. I bet they are treated very well working here. I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich, and instead of chips I wanted fruit. That sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had except it was there was a bit too much wasabi for my personal taste, but that still helped elevate the sandwich so next time I’ll just ask for light wasabi. The fruit in the fruit cup was extremely fresh, which made me very happy. I have noticed over time a lot of places will pre-package it up days ahead and give you a nasty slimy fruit cup. Not here, all the fruit was very fresh! I decided to get a cupcake as well and it is a giant cupcake. It was extremely moist and one of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had that is a plain chocolate- vanilla cupcake. Even if you compared it to the fancy cupcakes I’ve had this is a good competitor here. I will 100% come back here. They just gained a new loyal customer. I cannot wait to dine in person.

Google
First time dining at this particular location and will have to say it has a similar atmosphere as the one in St Louis Park. However, the dining area is much larger with ample seating. Food and service are consistently good, so that was a good thing.

Google
If looking for a casual yet yummy place that servies homemade fresh goods then look no further! There are a lot of drink options including beer, wine and non alcoholic drinks. Food was quickly prepared and all staff were friendly!

Google
In one word: passable. Breakfast burrito was tasty, but was missing some ingredients when delivered. California scramble was decent, but not seasoned at all and a bit watery. Asked for dry toast, but arrived heavily buttered. Ordered a side of sausage, and although flavor was nice, it was dry, hard and crumbly. Coffee was good. (Probably all of the food issues could have been addressed if there was table service.) Over all, everything was fine, but you can do better than fine at the same price point someplace else.

Google
I have never dined here (yet), but I’m writing a 5-star review simply because someone on the staff decided to utilize an 80-Series Toyota Land Cruiser for their promotional/delivery vehicle, and that’s just plain cool. In a world of soulless Ford Transits and Ram ProMaster heaps, it’s a bit refreshing. Keep up the good work!

Google
Highly recommend the steak sandwich. I work nearby and order it for pick up often. I usually get a medium rare but last time it was partially overcooked. But I'll still be back!

Corey C.

Yelp
Just throw a dart at the menu and it's gonna be good. Came for lunch and had the delicious and decadent lobster club sandwich. It had a nice portion of lobster meat and flavorful garlic aïoli. It's a new option to add to my goto menu. Will be back with bells on!

Mariah L.

Yelp
Awesome sized portions for the price. So fresh and healthy tasting without affecting taste. Slightly slower service, and parking is a hassle, but I'll return. :)

David M.

Yelp
Stopped here for dessert on our way home from the Excelsior art fair. I was interested in the patty cake and saw that they had coconut cake - so I left with two. Double win. These two cakes are good, but different. The party cake was moist and lighter with buttercream frosting. The coconut cake was more dense with a lighter whipped cream type of frosting. In my opinion, the coconut was better. I do prefer whipped cream frosting over buttercream frosting though. Also the coconut cake had a layer of filling instead of just more frosting that helped balance the sweetness. I love coconut, but haven't had a lot of coconut cake to compare.

Yelp
Yum continues to be one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities, I used to live across the street from the SLP location, so I'm glad I have a location near me now that I've moved! You can't go wrong with their menu, between their pastries and meals everything is delicious! Only downside is they have seasonal items that rotate out, and they're so good I want them year round! If you're Jewish, I highly recommend their Holiday offers & Challah. It's some of my favorite Challah I've found in the Twin Cities, and the Matzoh Ball Soup is delicious. This time around, my boyfriend and I ordered in for Hanukkah! I had the Thai Salmon Salad, not my favorite but still good - I think it just needs more dressing. The latkes were absolutely delicious and even came with sour cream and applesauce!

Dan C.

Yelp
I live near Yum's original location, so I was intrigued when I was invited to a meeting at this location. I like the SLP location since it is very light and airy. This location keeps that tradition going, with lots of big windows, high ceilings, and a large open room. The location is good - right off of 62 at Shady Oak road and fairly close to 494, too. When I arrived mid-morning, it was packed with people meeting for coffee & food, business as well as personal. I already ate, so I just had an espresso. The guys I met did the same. My espresso was fine and we sat for a while and talked. I grabbed a few treats to go for my family and they were the same level of quality as the SLP location.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Parking isn't the best, so we go early for lunch to beat the rush. This is our annual tradition to go have lunch to celebrate my best friend's birthday. We always order the steak sandwich and cake for dessert. The cake is worth it!!! The staff is friendly and the service is fast.

Nicole G.

Yelp
My friend and I were in the area Saturday evening and decided to stop in for a sweet treat (or two) before they closed for the day. We arrived around 7:40pm and still lots to pick from in the display case. My chocolate loving heart went with a slice of baker's man and ranger cookie. Sophia who helped me was SO kind and answered all of my questions. She was very patient and polite. Kudos to Sophia! I enjoyed both of my picks. The bakers man was very moist and light. I appreciate the amount of chocolate, but wish it was buttercream chocolate frosting instead of whipped chocolate frosting (personal preference). I'd likely go with the patticake slice next time. Restaurant is large and lots to pick from. There's a handful of locations around the cities which is so convenient. I look forward to my next experience. My eyes kept looking at the cupcakes.... The amount of frosting on them doesn't disappoint me at all.

Emily H.

Yelp
I stopped at Yum for lunch today, and wasn't disappointed! The quality of food here is amazing. The service was super quick and we got our food decently quick, especially for how busy it was during lunch. I heard their chicken salad was really good I'm normally a big, tuna salad, fan myself, so I went with the trio and got to try all three. It came with bread, but since I'm gluten-free, they gave me chips, which was awesome! The salad underneath was perfect, too! Dressed well, and not overpowering, it complemented the salads nicely. The sandwich was great, lots of chicken and great toppings! I will definitely be stopping here for more lunches

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Came here for a weekend breakfast! The atmosphere was cute and quite spacious. Coffee and drinks were self served and our orders arrived quickly. We ordered the California scramble, which was filling and refreshing, as well as the Yum! plate, which was quite hearty. Both plates were quite generous and we were so full we ended up skipping lunch!

Lucy N.

Yelp
Yum is a crowd pleaser! My favorite is to pick up take out at any time of day from here -- they truly have it all. I recently picked up breakfast and my family loved it. The desserts are also to die for. Their online ordering process is great and the establishment is always busy. Grabbing lunch on their patio is always a good idea. I'll be back soon.

Julie D.

Yelp
I have been the Yum 10 times. The food is really great. I have never been disappointed. It can get loud in the restaurant.

Jingle M.

Yelp
YUM! New spot for me and I already know I'm coming back. Fun vibes and crazy menu. How about fancy schmancy tuna salad! Or Old School Corned Beef for breakfast?? You can order in advance and find a table when you arrive . . Awesome service at the order station. The place was packed with Christmas shoppers but noise level was great and delivery to table fast. And then I discovered the bakery!!! Took home a box of goodies for family gathering this weekend. Yum!

Robyn L.

Yelp
Love this place- breakfast lunch or dinner! And this location is great too. Plenty of seating outside and inside. Lots of variety on the menu and I think you actually get a good amount of food for the price. Plus locally sourced. Seasonal menu too- which I have a love hate relationship with because some items I would like year round. Right now their butternut squash soup is soooo good!

Amie D.

Yelp
I've been to yum couple of times and I love how fresh and healthy their foods are. Even their chips are made from scratch! Their menu does change often and by far my fave meal there was roast lemon chicken. I've had their desserts too and their key lime pie hit the spot. It has a nice clean and green decor with cool toys and culinary tools for purchase. The setup is similar to Panera, where you pay and have a table number except they bring your food to your table. All in all tasty place to eat at and can easily replace Panera which have lost their creativity and flavor imo. So go check it out, your tastebuds will thank you!

Debi O.

Yelp
The food at yum was really great. I had the vegan tacos and my companion had the steak sandwich. He LOVES the steak sandwich and has had it several times. The tacos had quinoa, sweet potato and slaw with avocado on top. And a really great tomatillo sauce. The restaurant is a walk up to order and then your food is brought out. It was nice and clean,'service was really very quick. There were quite a few people there but it didn't seem loud or crowded. Highly recommend. I'd go back!

Yelp
I have been to Yum! Kitchen & Bakery in Minnetonka and in St. Louis Park and I looove everything about this place. Just walking in feels like a different experience than most other restaurants and cafes that I've been to because it's kind of a combination of both. Today I got take out and had the 1/2 roasted chicken and holy mole, it was good! This dish is literally a half of a rotisserie chicken. It also came with a generous side of flavorful green beans and mashed potatoes so I will definitely be saving half of this for lunch tomorrow, and for $16.99, that's not a bad deal. Some days I go into Yum! for a meal, but some days I just want to stop in for a cup of coffee and dessert. Their mini key lime pie is my ultimate favorite!!! They also have seasonal menus for dine-in or takeout. Check out their Valentine's Day menu with heart shaped pot pies and chocolate chip cookies where you can request a customized message in frosting :)

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I was really impressed with Yum! From their service, to their system, to the quality of their food. The Minnetonka location is the only one I've been to but even though it's busy, it is so big that you can't even really tell. The food was amazing and fresh, and it had a very clean atmosphere as well. I want to come back and check out the breakfast/brunch. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Yum! Kitchen & Bakery in Medina, Minnesota, is a culinary gem offering a diverse array of American food options. The menu's versatility caters to a wide range of palates, delivering a delightful mix of flavors that capture the essence of American cuisine. From savory classics to delectable bakery treats, Yum! showcases a commitment to quality and taste. The warm and inviting ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, making it a standout destination for those seeking a taste of America's culinary richness in the heart of Medina.

Susan C.

Yelp
I had to order mashed potatoes. They cost $6.00 when they came out I wasn't shocked. It was one little helping for 6.00! For mashed potatoes ! No gravy. No butter. Wow.

Anthony R.

Yelp
I just think this is great place to have breakfast. Great location, service excellent, coffee wonderful, and California egg dish I had was outstanding. Kudos to yum!

Amy R.

Yelp
A little pricey but really good. Nice cross between "fine" dining and fast food. Large portions and healthy options. Counter order but they bring it to table. Breakfast sandwich home fries and an iced coffee $20.

Sidney B.

Yelp
I have never liked cake. Call me crazy, but it is what it is. Now... when I decided to take a leap of faith and try a bite of Yum's Coconut cake... GAME CHANGER. It is what I imagine heaven is like but in an edible form. You HAVE to try a slice!!

Nicole A.

Yelp
I love yum, but it's not very allergy friendly. The staff isn't very knowledgeable about what allergens each item on the menu contains! Their version of the salted nut roll is TO DIE for!! Please add more gluten free options yum!!

Vanessa M.

Yelp
My family and I came here for a quick Mother's Day Lunch! And we all left so impressed!! There is lots of parking outside! There is a big wide seating where you seat yourself and they also have seating outside! I love how you order up at the cashier! The workers are all so polite, professional and friendly!! I had the French fries as an appetizer and it came so adorable with the three sauces that go with it, the ketchup, Cajun Mayo and red pepper aioli. I absolutely loved the sauces they were a great addition for the fries! I also ordered the Margherita pizza which tasted great!! I also got the special yum! bar as a dessert and was absolutely blown away!! They have an amazing bakery section which is a must when you come here!! The special yum! bar was for sure the highlight! The special yum! bar is a chewy peanut butter cereal bar that is topped with chocolate ganache and sprinkles. I highly recommend the special yum! bar for peanut butter and chocolate lovers like myself! Overall it was a pleasant experience! Would definitely come here again!

M L.

Yelp
Bakery items are good, food is average. The service is good, everyone was nice and professional. I loved the clean city aesthetic and modern decor.

Megan M.

Yelp
I've been to Yum! so many times and every time I love it. Seriously, everything I order I love. This time however, I didn't dine in but ordered a custom cake to celebrate my sister's engagement. If you haven't had a Yum! cake...let me just say you're missing out. Anyways, when I came to pick up the cake the staff were all so excited to show me it so they could tell the decorator my reaction. And wow, I'm glad they did! Because it was seriously SO GORGEOUS! I was blown away and so pleasantly surprised. I had just expected the usual decorating (words and trim), but instead got this gorgeous floral decor. Everyone at my sister's engagement party loved it as well!!! Once again, Yum! has proven to be a fantastic shop and I'm so happy I chose them for my sister (and of course her now fiancé's) cake!!

Charlie B.

Yelp
Not a great variety of foods and you have to go to the counter to order. When it's busy this is a hassle. Also it's loud. Hard to carry on a conversation. Several of the items I've tried were very tasty plus they have some delicious cookies.

Carrie W.

Yelp
I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. I tried the Vietnamese salad with chicken. So fresh and it came with a slice of focaccia bread. The servers are always so friendly

Steven J.

Yelp
Great food, coffee and service! Love the outdoor sitting area as well. I live in the area and this is my go to spot for brunch!

Stacy A.

Yelp
Everybody loves Yum; we were in the area and I was excited to try. I know that the weight is long so I placed my order an hour ahead. The food was ready on time but sadly it just wasn't very good. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and didn't like it; the bread was burned and it was very hard to eat because the slice of chicken was too big and the huge chunks of avacado just slid around.

Shaun J.

Yelp
Yum! Has a bunch of options, including ones for vegetarians. I, however, have a wide variety of foods I'm willing to eat. I had the mahi tacos. They were delicious and undiminished by the 15 min drive home. The only thing that would make them better is one more taco shell as three wasn't quite enough. I stole some fries from the kids, but they were not great 15 mins cooler. The kids aren't as enthusiastic about Yum for some reason, but they are it all. One had grilled cheese and the other margareta pizza. The food was correct to the order and ready within a minute of the promised time. I'd go back if I could convince other family members.

Ryan S.

Yelp
Good food and service. Met a friend there for lunch and it was a good place to catch up. Not too loud. Will be back. Thanks!

Laura H.

Yelp
My to go order was messed up but they made it right (despite my stressed poor attitude). Thanks!!! Will be back!!

Lana B.

Yelp
Stopped here for some treats after dinner! Super trendy location. We only got cupcakes, but all their bakery items looked good. Yum! offers a variety of options from lattes, cupcakes, and healthy and delicious food. Creme Brulle cupcake: AMAZING. 5/5. Perfect crunch on top of the fluffy frosting. Cake is nice and moist. Raspberry: A little hallowed out of the cake part to allow more frosting. I would prefer more cake to frosting ration. yum cupcake: A grown up hoho. Super good with the marshmallow filling.

Brett A.

Yelp
Amazing rotating food selections with seasonal flavors. Great service as well. Fully enjoyed my meal.

Daniel T.

Yelp
Good food with unique flare and very friendly crew in a casual yet fancy setting. Amazing desserts that make you question how you lived without them either after your meal or ordered for an event. I can't recommend one because they are good and different to the point that you can't go wrong with ordering too many but somehow they don't last long.

Grace S.

Yelp
It just feels good here! The food is of great quality, the tuna-melt is spot on & enough for some take home, too. The atmosphere is marvelous, warm, clean, cheerful, a boost of positive! 10/30/21 happy eating here!

Raj D.

Yelp
Breakfast meeting with a collaborator From St Cloud. This is a place I love taking any of my kids. Breakfast is always tasty w the hot egg choices or sweet if you want muffins or treats. Desserts? Too good here... But that's another story. Yes you must try it once in your life! Also there is a back room that no kne knows about so sneak to the back of the front is packed.

Liann A.

Yelp
While visiting my brother in Minnesota, he and his girlfriend recommended coming to Yum! Kitchen and Bakery for lunch and also because they have really good sweet treats. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking. They have both indoor and outdoor dining areas and it was pretty busy for a Friday lunch. The line wasn't too long but the cashier kept on forgetting to give us our silverware and our cups so we had to ask and the server said we should have received it at the beginning. I arrived from California that morning so I actually wanted breakfast but breakfast was already finished. So I opted to get the breakfast sandwich which is served all day, i chose bacon as my meat, with egg, I think I added an avocado, cheddar cheese on an English muffin. It came with chips and a pickle. My brother got a pepperoni pizza. It all tasted pretty fresh and typical. My brother's gf really likes their chocolate chip cookies. Me and my brother shared their mini Key Lime pie and it was really good, nice and tart! One thing I did remember was that the workers kept on coming up and cleaning my table even when I wasn't finished eating. I felt like they were trying to rush us out of there. I still had food on my plate and they were taking away my silverware and didn't even ask me if I finished. I give it 3 stars as opposed to 4 because of the service. Maybe I'm not used to service like this being from California?

Rachel G.

Yelp
This pizza really was rough. Not sure if it's the norm, but after seeing the pic online for online ordering vs. what I got it was a big disappointment. Wouldn't recommend the pizza.

Michele B.

Yelp
Yum! lives up to its name! Get the lobstah roll it's amazing! I've mainly been lucky enough to order this in the office for work lunches as my expecting office manager orders Door Dash in for us. Such a sweet deal! I've been in the restaurant for brunch as well and have always had a delicious bite to eat. But it always is busy, loud, and cramped. I prefer ordering it to go now much more. Check it out if you are ever in that hood!

Via R.

Yelp
Had no idea this place existed across the street from where I work. My co-worker recommended this place cause the menu looks good and they have seafood. I had the seafood stew & it was delicious. Will definitely come back again Seafood Stew

Amy P.

Yelp
I visited Yum! For the first time this past weekend. I ordered their Turkey Focaccia sandwich (9.95, pictured, includes chips and a pickle). The food arrived within five minutes and was DELICIOUS. The red pepper aioli was light and the homemade chips added the perfect amount of crunch and flavor. The sandwich itself was a little messy (because it was just PILED with onions, turkey, etc) but that was the best part, I felt like I was truly getting my money's worth. The pickle is house made as well, but seemed to be closer to a cucumber than a pickle but I won't put any points against them for it. I also ordered a blueberry muffin to go and it was SO GOOD. Not a ton of blueberries and the actual muffin part was a little small in comparison to the muffin top, but the muffin top was SO GOOD that I didn't care. My friend ordered a mudpie cupcake and she said it was amazing but very rich and chocolate-heavy. I would highly recommend eating here. Service was amazing, food was delicious and the atmosphere was cute.

Allyson S.

Yelp
Yum! Kitchen and Bakery to the rescue! I had a Mother's Day ordering snafu at another local dessert shop/bakery, and in a scramble looked for just about anything that was open. I've been to Yum! in the past for food and it was fantastic - well, the desserts here stood up to the test as well. I ordered a variety of sweet treats, including a chocolate and vanilla cupcake, the Yum! bar, and some sort of peanut butter bar. I also snagged a Mother's Day themed cookie. All were fantastic, but shout out to the bars which were so tasty. My only complaint was the cupcakes had very large sprinkle balls that were like tiny jawbreakers! I could have done without those. Overall a really great place, somewhat on the pricier side, but still absolutely worth it!

Laura H.

Yelp
Open spaces, plenty of natural lighting, indoor and outdoor dining, casual and delicious... that's how I describe Yum! It was just two of us. One had the Chinese chicken salad and the other had the salmon couscous salad. We started with the aioli French fries which were delicious. 2 glasses of house Chardonnay and a Smores brownie finished off our dinner. It was very pleasant. Plenty of parking in the lot and on the nearby streets. Reasonably priced. In short, a great place!

Robert B.

Yelp
Consistency great atmosphere food always comes well prepared nice staff easy location

Bob A.

Yelp
I have a rule, and maybe it's a dumb rule, and maybe I don't actually have the rule but whatever, that I don't review multiple locations of a chain. And I reviewed the St Louis Park location of Yum ages ago, so I wasn't planning on doing a separate one for these guys. But I came here and had a great experience and it's obvious that people should know that they will be glad they came here. I came here with co-workers after a busy day, and it really hit the spot. It's such a pleasant place to relax with friends and food, and the food is always really good. What most inspired me to raise a glass to them here has to do with my fish & chips issue. They serve their fish & chips in a cute little faux-deep-fryer dish. Trust me, it's cute. It has a handle, like a deep fryer thing has, even if it's just for decoration in this situation. Between its handle and my clumsiness, most of the fish ended up in my lap moments after it arrived. And they brought me a whole new batch at no extra charge. It was very gracious and they deserve praise for that. And also I deserve to have you all know how clumsy I am.

Jim L.

Yelp
I was driving by and saw this place. I felt compelled to stop and see what it was like. My earlier lunch, I tried a new place in Edina that wasn't very good so I decided that I would find something light like a soup or something with veggies, no meat. They had 4-5 soups on hand and none of them spoke to me. As i read the board more and more, I found more things that sounded good. Salads, sandwiches and even the breakfast which is finished being served at 11am. I would love to try their breakfast. A lot of places that have light eating options like this place normally have like a soup and sandwich combo where you can get soup and half a sandwich or a smaller salad option. I didn't see that here. It would be something I would order, if offered. The place was clean, neat and different. The bathrooms were very nice also. They have a lot of options that I would like to try here. The menus might not be the best to read from a photo but i took the picture anyways. I was waiting for my food and watching dishes come out and looking at what others had and everything I saw looked delicious. I have to come back to try more. I only wanted something light today since this was a 2nd lunch for me and I decided on the Mexican street corn which I have had a couple places and I like it a lot. It was good. If you look through the Yelp photos, many Yelpers have taken great pictures of many dishes while I waited for my food. I can't wait to go back to try more items. Maybe I will see you there.

Gabriel S.

Yelp
Yum has some of the best sweets in the metro! I have never been able to walk in and back out without a bag full of cookies or cupcakes. The salad trio from the main food menu is one of the best things there for lunch. For breakfast, they do super oatmeal with all of the important fixings. They have a big back room you can use for events. The staff is super nice and you can see all of the food as they prep it for you. Yum is a tradition of a place to meet friends for good breakfasts and lunch or just some sweets for a treat.
