Matzo ball soup is sold in bowls and quarts, and chopped liver by the half-pint. Pair a whole roast chicken with potato knishes and apple harvest salad. For dessert, options include mini salted caramel apple pies, coconut cream cake, and Yum!’s signature patticake, a chocolate cake with cream cheese buttercream frosting." - Justine Jones

Pattie & Robbie: I write today, July 3, 2025, to thank you for bringing onto your STLP staff a young woman named Grace. Wow, she sure has it all going: Excellent demeanor and smile; great listener, focus on customer needs & questions, and repartee with me regarding several aspects of the operations and my Order. Grace is an outstanding communicator! She covered everything I needed —including my questions on various products—with aplomb!! She also has an easy way with customers and shows your Brand in an all-around Top Notch manner. This was my first time at Yum!, and Grace’s skills (coupled with a fabulous take-out breakfast and incredibly delicious Gazpacho soup!) have made me a loyal customer now. I sure hope that you could do something fun for Grace, and share my gratitude for her very professional and timely service today. All the best to you all! Can hardly wait to return!!

It's a nice place. They have outdoor seating. You order your food at a designated spot, and then they bring the food out to you. The service was top tier; however, the food was below my standards. The lobster roll had nothing on it, no real seasoning. The Tuna meal presentation was great, but the bread needed to be toasted

Enjoyed lunch here with my son. Portions are generous. Enjoyed the tuna melt and the attentive service. Will have to try their pastries next time.

Solid 4/5 This restaurant offers a pleasant breakfast experience, though it didn’t particularly stand out in terms of food quality. The building itself is clean and well-designed, which sets a welcoming tone upon arrival. I ordered a cappuccino, which was somewhat underwhelming—not bad, but nothing memorable. My breakfast plate was decent overall. While I appreciated the self-serve condiment rack, which offered ketchup and other spices, the patties were slightly dry for my taste, and the roasted potatoes were a bit too oily. What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere. With its large windows and high, spacious ceilings, the space feels open and relaxing, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The ambiance elevates the experience significantly and compensates for the food being just “okay.” Overall, this is a great spot if you’re looking for a comfortable and inviting setting to enjoy your morning, even if the food doesn’t wow you.

Amazing selection of baked goods, breakfast items, lunch items, and drinks! Super cool atmosphere as well with plenty of seating.

Google
This place is sooo nice!! Great prices on fresh and delicious and healthy food + a clean and welcoming and bright environment with indoor and outdoor options for seating. The team here is super nice and friendly, and while watching them work you can tell they're having fun! Special thanks to Kira, Kaitlin, and Brandon! 😋

Visited friends living in the Minnetonka area and on our way to Downtown Minneapolis we stopped for a quick bite. Food was delicious, service was fast and everyone working there was super friendly. I tried the salmon over rice with a side of string beans and it didn’t disappoint.

Upscale Casual Diner. It was vibrant and active when we went midday, lots of outdoor seating was available but we chose to eat inside. They have a counter-service model here. Pay at the counter, get a number, they bring it out. We got Indeed Pistachio Cream Ale while we waited. They do have a decent wine list as well, and if you're so inclined, you can actually get a 40 of Miller High Life. We got the Lemon Chicken and Mustard Salmon entrees. Both were delicious, including the sides, and the portions were large enough to justify the price point. No notes, excellent food. We got some small gift items and a couple of desserts on the way out. Good service, great food, and an extensive menu that isn't overpriced. We are definitely going to be returning several times.

Yelp
My first time at Yum! I was highly impressed. Service was quick and helpful and our food came out hot and quickly. I always like places where you can see Into the kitchen. I ordered the southwest chicken salad. It was a great portion and good quantity of toppings, including h chicken, avocado, and crispy tortilla strips. Will come back for a relatively cheap fast casual. I'd also come back to try the bakery goodies.

Yelp
I was really disappointed with yum! I needed a quick late lunch to go and thought yum! would be a good option for how close it is to my apartment. For a 3pm order, I had to wait quite a while before my order was ready to go. It wasn't the end of the world - I didn't mind waiting 30+ minutes, but what I received was extremely underwhelming. I ordered a Grilled Cheese with tomato, and my cheese wasn't even fully melted (see picture). I suppose some people don't mind a partially melted grilled cheese, but I haven't met them. For how much I paid for a simple sandwich, I couldn't even finish it. Next time I'm looking for a quick lunch spot, I'll probably be looking for somewhere different...

Jay A.

Yelp
Went here after a hike and this just hit the spot. The person who took our order was super friendly and knowledgeable. Ingredients were super fresh and tasty. The only negative I'd have to say would be the iced tea. I wish there was an option without the artificial sweetener. I could definitely taste it. I would have preferred no sweetener if possible. Other than that, I would love to try the other fixings.

Mara O.

Yelp
We stopped at Yum! for lunch. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had fish and chips and a sampler. The fries were some of the best we've had. It was a cute place and their flowers out front were gorgeous. We also got some bakery items but were too full to eat them. I'll have to add that tomorrow.

Yelp
YUM! is what you will be saying as you leave this place EVERY time. I have been visiting YUM for over 10 years. They are a great local MN spot that has a light airy vibe. They have a menu full of cozy dinners, light fresh salads and PLEASE don't forget to hit up their bakery. Their Patty Cake is iconic. But you truly can't go wrong with any baked good they serve. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. This is a great spot for a work lunch, family dinner or birthday celebration! Each YUM Location across the Twin Cities has its own parking lot for ease of visiting! If you can't find a spot in their lot. There is usually ample street parking nearby!

Yelp
The place: casual. Inviting. Families and dogs and friends gather here over fresh and tasty dishes. You order at the counter and take a number to your table so it moves pretty quickly. I think the most recent time I was here, our sandwiches came out to us within 10 minutes (they were also devoured within the next 10 minutes). The taste: I've been several times and everything is good. There's something for everyone - the omnivore, the meat only eater, the veg-head...the tuna melt has a special place in my heart, but had the egg salad sandwich most recently and have no complaints. Love that there are so many veggies on the menu too! My face: wide smile that you can get a hearty meal for two for ~$30 ($29 pre-tip).

Yelp
Not so yum! Takeout [Minneapolis MN] Our lunch from our Day 2 Workshop was provided by yum! Kitchen, a restaurant in Minneapolis MN. I ordered the Fish & Chips (alaskan cod & french fries w/ house tartar sauce). I love fish & chips but I should've known that it is best when consumed immediately... my fish & chips did not travel well. They were a bit soggy, especially the fries. Some parts remained crunchy though and I enjoyed those. Until I get a chance to actually dine in the restaurant this is all I can review about. The orders were to go and was picked up by one of our colleagues. I'm sure they have other things I may like, but the fish & chips was not the best for take out. For now, 3.5-Stars. Hope to make it back again soon. Review #3184

Yelp
Yum is my friends & family's go-to casual lunch and dinner spot in the neighborhood. The menu has something for everyone, it's reasonably prices, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Despite a menu full of amazing classics, I order the same thing every time - the Szechuan Salmon! The plate has fragrant jasmine rice, crunchy stir fried green beans, a large portion of perfectly cooked salmon, and is topped with crushed pistachios. The whole dish feels like a warm hug, and never leaves me feeling too full or weighed down. I highly recommend it to all salmon lovers!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
This place is the perfect combination of convenience and deliciousness for me. They have amazing food here, but you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring it out to you. You get your own drinks and everything. Also, the bakery food is delicious and they have gluten-free options. The ambience is beautiful. When I come to Minnesota, I love to go here. The brussels sprouts are the most delicious. And for what you get, it's not a bad price.

Risa Y.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to visit YUM! again. Today we sat in the back room, which is much quieter and another nice experience. The food was so delicious! We all had salads: two of us had the salmon goddess and one of us had the tarragon chicken salad w/ greens. It was so delicious. Then we all split a decadent slice of Patticake for dessert. YUM!

Elena M.

Yelp
The avocado toast was delicious! The burrito was terribly bland. The staff wasn't friendly at all. The person that took our order seemed more like we were bothering her more than anything. There was a huge line so maybe that's why they were annoyed. The line did go pretty fast. The way it works is you get in line, they give you a number and you find a table to sit at. There is plenty of space even though it's busy. My latte was pretty and not too bad. The Hubby didn't care for his mocha and my mom didn't like her coffee. The cinnamon roll is over hyped.

Brooke R.

Yelp
Yum! Continues to impress me. Every time I come, I am blown away by the quality and taste. This visit we tried the chicken fingers, Mac & cheese, steak sandwich, and Turkey focaccia sandwich. And of course you can't come to Yum! and not get a slice of Patti Cake. While everything was delicious, the true star of the mean was the chicken fingers; generous sizes of chicken, lightly battered, cooked to perfection, without being too greasy. I can't wait til my next visit

Ashlyn C.

Yelp
YUMMY. Yum is so cute and affordable. But beyond that? The food came out hot, well seasoned, and tasted fresh! Didn't try anything from the bakery this time, but the smell filled the restaurant. Parking was easy on a Sunday afternoon. They have an overflow lot just across the street and lots of street parking.

Kripa M.

Yelp
First time at yum and I have to say it sure was yummy. Met up with a friend of mine for lunch . It was busy in there but the line to order food went pretty quick. My friend got the Mahi fish tacos, Mac and cheese and I got the Lemon Chicken. The tacos looked delicious and my friend was happy with it. I tried a bite of the Mac and cheese and it was delicious. I ordered the Lemon Chicken and I was extremely happy with my decision. Chicken was nice and juicy, cooked to perfection. It came with mashed potatoes and Broccolini on the side. Everything was absolutely delicious. One can't leave that place without ordering dessert since it's a bakery as well. My friend got the pumpkin bar and I got the mini pumpkin cheesecake. The pumpkin bar was devoured by my friend. I am usually not a big cheesecake person but this one was to die for. So glad I decided to get it. All in all we had a great experience and can't wait to come back.

Bev L.

Yelp
A bit disappointed by the food and service at the attractive EP location. Scone and caramel roll were ok, had better elsewhere. We waited at least 10 minutes for our 2 drinks which was odd considering there was no line at all. No apology or explanation. Chairs were too low for tables so sitting was uncomfortable , felt like I needed a booster seat .( I am an average to slightly above height woman so shorter people would have real trouble!) Stylish but odd to drink a latte out of a plastic thermal glass - like a stemless wine glass. The cakes looks great!

Ellie B.

Yelp
Yum is one of my favorite local spots around! My friends and I get takeout from here all the time. Most of us are obsessed with the Szechuan salmon, it's that good! Most recently, I stopped in for a quick dinner with a friend and decided to try the lemon chicken. I can't believe I waited this long to order it, the chicken was perfectly cooked and the potatoes and broccolini were delicious! I would definitely order this again. My friend got mac and cheese and the turkey focaccia and loved both. I tried the Mac and cheese and it was probably top 3 that I've ever had, I'll definitely get that when I'm at Yum next. Service is always friendly and quick, and they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. Already can't wait to go back!

Sarah B.

Yelp
Where has this place been my whole life and why haven't I stopped in sooner? I crave their breakfast sandwiches now. Nothing on the menu or in the cases will disappoint you here. Such a great spot to stop in or stay awhile and chat/enjoy. Order at the counter and grab it to go or be served while sitting down. Parking can be hectic if the lot is full but most times we get lucky and grab a spot. Cute little patio outside to enjoy during summer months!

Rachel K.

Yelp
Yum is a go-to in SLP! You can go for any meal, anytime, and have a wonderful experience. They have a very clean and modern aesthetic inside. You order your food from one counter and your baked goods from another. They rotate some menu items seasonally, but the majority of the menu is reliable staples. I have yet to enjoy breakfast there, but it is on my bucket list to go soon! The Szechuan Salmon is a group favorite - when the girls order in, there are always 2-4 orders of that in our little 6-person group :) We mostly bring it in for a casual and easy lunch or dinner for the group - some of my favorites have been the Baja fish tacos, the steak sandwich, and the lemon chicken. I even brought my salad-loving mom here for dinner one night and she loved it! She was able to get a glass of wine and a salad with some salmon on it which was exactly what she was craving. The Yum Bakery is pretty killer but my favorite bakery item is definitely the Challah! It is sweet, fluffy, and consistently the best in town. They will also slice it for you if you want! I definitely prefer their Challah over Breadsmith and will continue to recommend it to everyone I can :)

Raj D.

Yelp
I typically go to yum for breakfast. They are amongst my top choices. You know they have exceptional breakfast and desserts that are just too good. Today I needed wifi and my tummy was grumbling. So I hit yum for lunch. Which I guess I had not done before. Breakfast closed at 11.00 ( I hope they make it an all day thing). I got the burger burger. Some coffee. It was good. Not much seasoning but it tasted good. Also the bun was tasty but a smidge bigger than I expected. Will definitely be back for lunch another day.

D P.

Yelp
DO NOT get the lemonade. It's $3.75 and made from a mix. You can tell Generally I like it, the tempura fish is great. But they are also doing some rip offs.

Sydney S.

Yelp
Coming from the North Shore of Chicago, I'm a challah snob. Most Minnesotans go for a Breadsmith challah, but I've found them underwhelming. A new favorite is in my books - and it's Yum! These were perfectly sweet, fluffy and delicious. It reminded me of our local bakery back home - and the price was right. It was only about $6-$7 a loaf and it's the best I've had in the Twin Cities so far. Highly recommend for all your Jewish celebrations, or just a delicious snack!

Mark C.

Yelp
i had the rueben as take out for a family gathering, I cannot believe how terrible it was. Dry meat, it did not appear to have much or any chesse or sauekraut. if served in NY they would close the shop on first day. is this the norm or was I unlucky, a trainee made the sandwich that day. i will never order another to find out.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Overall had a good experience at Yum kitchen in St. Louis Park. It was hard for our party of seven people to find a table - it was packed! The Saint Paul location is much bigger. We were all put on the same ticket even though we paid separately and most of us got our food at the same time. The one person that didn't had to wait an extra 15 minutes which was a little frustrating. The potato chips tasted good, but some people got a tiny portion and the pickles included with the sandwiches were not great I'd recommend the steak sandwich or the burger.

Minnesota M.

Yelp
The food here is reliably very good or superb. We live in the neighborhood so we often do take out. The service is good. Casual.

Isabel L.

Yelp
I've been coming to Yum! For the past decade, and it is always delicious! The Mac and cheese always hits, the broccolini is my favorite green on the menu, cheesy pizza, but my most recent dish that was a Cajun pasta was soooo good. Not much heat on the Cajun side, but so so tasty. The bakery is also amazing! I love to stop in to get treats here for birthdays, and the Patticake is a classic staple. I often grave a slice if I save room for dessert. The room is bright and airy, lots of tables around (but it will get busy and it can be hard to find an open one). The service is casual but prompt and perfect if you don't want someone waiting on you. You order your food at the front, take a number, and then they bring it to your table. There is often little seasonal trinkets and gifts that are also available for purchase.

Yelp
I could not have a better restaurant experience than at Yum. The service is so quick and friendly. I wondered what one of the salad toppings on display was and the person behind the counter didn't really know so he brought a fellow worker over and she knew what it was. She told me and even gave me a free little sample of the jicama (the food I was wondering about)!!! They are so friendly and polite. The food is AMAZING! The fries have so much flavor and are perfectly salted. The texture is a perfect balance of soft and crunchy. The fries also come with three different dipping sauces! They are a MUST TRY item. I LOVE their sample salad, Sichuan salmon, and basically ANYTHING on the menu is amazing and is FULL of flavor. I came here for a family dinner and we were having a hard time choosing somewhere to eat and I could not have been more satisfied with our final choice!! We had a lovely conversation and sat in the back of the restaurant. The back is a lovely place to sit, with lots of natural lighting. There is also NO annoying TVs playing and their is NO blasting annoying music. It is truly a lovely gem of a restaurant. The restaurant is set up so lovely. There are little plants on each table along with a salt and pepper shaker. The whole theme is wonderfully planned, not too modern and boxy looking, but has a warm and homey feel. The price is slightly expensive but SOOO worth it! There are plenty of things on the menu you can order if you are looking for a less expensive option. The prices really seam to vary. The salads are not too expensive, but if you get something with fish or lobster it can be around $20-$25, which is pretty typical. They even have a vegan option! I have not tried it but I bet it's delicious. 10/10 Would recommend!!!!!

Kyle P.

Yelp
I almost have to make 2 separate reviews one for the coffee- which was very average and had nothing much going for it. And one for the food- which was amazing. Their ordering system is super simple and the store is extremely nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and accommodating

Olivia V.

Yelp
We've visited yum! Kitchen and Bakery twice. If you're looking for a lunch spot that's fresh and filling, this is the place. The first time, I had the Shrimp Caesar salad that was light and very tasty, with some of the most flavorful shrimp I've ever had. My partner had the Turkey Focaccia Sandwich, which they described as refreshing and unique. This time, we tried the Reuben and Rachel respectively, and neither disappointed. We also shared a side of their Mac & Cheese; once the sauce settles in, it is very creamy and delicious. The building has a very bright feel to it with large open windows and various greenery as decor. This is a order at the counter location, but the people who bring the food to your table are always nice! Will definitely have to try items from the bakery next time!

Leah S.

Yelp
So much YUM!!! This place has always captured my heart for breakfast and desserts, but recently I found out that they are super kid friendly and have wonderful options for dinner. We brought my 5 year old twins and they loved their food they ordered and even tried some of our food (bonus!!) Additionally, they were very enticed to eat their food so they could get a dessert (who wouldn't be enticed by those desserts). Our boys acted out a little, but the staff was so accommodating, it was a relaxing atmosphere to take our children to.

Amy P.

Yelp
Back again to review my favorite restaurant spot. I always try to order something new when I visit so I decided to grab the grilled chicken club sandwich and HOW HAVE I NOT TRIED IT BEFORE. It was delicious and I highly recommend.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Even though this was our 5th time heading to YUM! Today tops the list. We Were ordering food to go because we wanted to bring it home to watch the GOPHER hockey game. While we waited my husband and I ordered a beverage while the kids patiently waited. As we were waiting, two people come through the kitchen, and it happens to be the husband and wife who started the phenomenal restaurant/business. We struck up a conversation about our past visits and love for sports, our children (4th grad and 8th grade) were with too. Then Robbie, one of the owners, was asking about our favorite desserts. Then a conversation/suggestion took place, "We would stay, but we want to get home to watch the GOPHER game." He shared that it has been discussed, but it changes the experience/atmosphere of the restaurant by adding a TV. We understood. The YUM! atmosphere is very welcoming and a place for conversation, not LOUD and chaotic because of TV/sports. Long story short, in the end Robbie came back to us with a box, and inside was a surprise for ALL of us! Totally worth the wait and the wonderful run in/conversation with two very respectable owners that are the definition of personable!! Can't wait to return! Thanks Robbie and Patti! P.S. Once we got home, the food was to die for, very well prepared and fresh, very full, but was for sure YUM! And my favorite was the RANGER cookie!

Mary N Dan C.

Yelp
Patty's cake is our only birthday cake. Chocolate is rich and moist with a buttercream frosting. Perfect That said food is always always good. Always! So easy to stop in, with quick service considering how busy it can get. Bright open seating where you place your order and bring your number to an open table. Can get noisy which may be a problem for some, but on the up side your conversations will not be over heard.

Yakun L.

Yelp
I really like the pattie cake here, perfect ratio of cream and the cake sponge, balancing very well of sweetness and dark chocolate.

Prescott S.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places to eat my wife and I just love some of the dishes there. It's just a great atmosphere and a great place to mingle with other neighbors.

Julie J.

Yelp
The breakfast sandwich was super awesome! The sausage had the best flavor. Took home the raspberry cupcake and the yum cupcake. Both were out of this world!

Bonnie H.

Yelp
Food is always great! We went for breakfast on a Sunday, got in line at 11:00, we missed breakfast by 2 minutes. My suggestion is get there early, all tables were full.

Mark K.

Yelp
First time here and the menu has a LOT of options. It's great for a variety of tastes and most everything is the same price so it takes away some of the financial fear of it all. I got the lemon chicken and it was pretty good! The portion was great and included potatoes and broccoli. We had a group of 4 right at the noon lunch rush. It was very busy, but everyone was working as quickly as they were able. Food took a bit longer, but again it was during a lunch rush. Our group appetizer of fries was the last thing brought to the table and at that point we were almost too full to enjoy it. Overall, the consensus around the table was that the food wasn't super flavorful but it was still good. I'd agree with this. I think if it hadn't been for the lemon wedge squeezed over my chicken that it wouldn't have had much flavor to it. Parking was a hassle - the parking lot isn't very big and it's very hard to turn around in. I was able to find street park just down the block and around the corner. If you don't see an open spot in the lot, don't even bother pulling in! There were definitely other things on the menu I'd love to try someday, but I probably won't go out of my way to eat here.

Emily W.

Yelp
I love the food and the atmosphere at Yum! Everything is so delicious. My go-to is the tuna melt. Their homemade potato chips are so addictive. My daughter craves the Mac and cheese. Their nut goodly bar is the stuff of dreams. I did call them this week as I wanted to pick up a dessert for a dinner party where a couple of people keep kosher. None of the desserts are kosher which is a bummer. It hasn't diminished my love for the place but when I googled "kosher desserts" for Minneapolis, yum! came up.

Michele B.

Yelp
Excellent cafe with baked goods too! I was sad they didn't have the lobster roll on the menu, but their steak sandwich is just as excellent! As always I had to get their famous fancy salad sampler too! Dill egg salad, grape chicken salad, and tuna salad. There's just something summery & picnicky about snacking on protein mayo salad yumminess! I like to use crackers and dip them in the salads! They give you some delectable focaccia which tastes fantastic with the tuna salad! If you are ever in this area stop by for a glorious picnic meal with yummy baked goods for dessert! A hidden gem.

Julie R.

Yelp
We came here for our monthly book club/brunch. We came early and were able to grab a table to fit our larger group and a few babies. It was easy to order at the counter and our food was brought out quickly. We enjoyed the California scramble, breakfast burrito, yum breakfast, and the runny egg club. Definitely try their turmeric ginger tea as well- it's my fav! All of our meals were delicious as usual! There is something for everyone on this menu and I appreciate the casual atmosphere. We will be back!

Dana P.

Yelp
Very happy that I made the decision to try Yum! for a business lunch today. Great food, excellent service that was consistent across all the folks we spoke with yesterday and today. Ordered food for a small group of 5, and everyone was very pleased with the quality of the food. Each person ordered something different, and we all shared. Everything was delicious! Hats off to the staff!

Carli S.

Yelp
A perfect place for a breakfast meeting. Coffee is so delicious! Service is always the best. Lots of parking with an auxiliary lot next to the building. Very busy and loud at times but always good!

Benjamin S.

Yelp
Great ambiance, good food, and kind employees. We only picked up to-go (my brother needed to try their mac and cheese after seeing a friends story on Instagram featuring it), but when I go back I'll be eating in and having one of their bakery items. The ambiance is very cute and comfortable. And the baked goods look incredible. The salad was good (but the best part was the bread that came with it) and the Mac and cheese was a very solid choice of side. Would definitely recommend and will be going back!

Bethany A.

Yelp
Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience at Yum! Food: I ordered a Breakfast sandwich for the normal menu and a side of French fries. The thing that took the sandwich from standard to WOW was the bacon. It had a nice, rich flavor, the perfect crunch, and a nice thick cut. The fries were good! They were served with three different sauces, which were so tasty! I do want to call out the menu- it's hard to make a decision because there's a bit of everything. I was confused...like what does this place specialize in? I ordered a cupcake. It was "decent" Environment: I'm not a fan of the self-service model. I almost left the restaurant because at first glance there looked to be no available tables (they have a back room). It was extremely busy, so it was annoying to try to look at the menu without getting in the way of the service counter line. Service: The staff was friendly enough. The food arrived in a timely manner, but we waited on our coffee well after we got got our food and almost thought they forgot our drinks.

Linda P.

Yelp
First time visiting for breakfast. Took a second to get oriented but seemed organized. Had the Avocado Toast with egg. Good and fresh and just what I needed. Our server David was wonderful!

Sheri S.

Yelp
Yum! Kitchen is adorable! In the midst of COVID-19, this place was a treat to eat out on their patio. I was in love with the lovely flowers outside and the light and airy vibes of the place. I love breakfast food but unfortunately we arrived late afternoon so grabbed some lunch options. I was so sad because they had such great options i wanted to choose from.- Yum, you should seriously consider serving breakfast all day. Now, there bakery options were aww soo tempting!!! I seriously was going to get a sweet treat but decided to contain my cravings. - It was so hard to do! I ordered the Yum fries, which were perfect and Brussels sprouts, which were tasty. My friend ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich to share. We didn't even have to wait long for our order. By the time I scouted out a table that was available outside to put our number down it got immediately cleaned and shortly after we sat down - the food arrived. Everything was good. The staff were pleasant and it was a beautiful day to enjoy Yum, Kitchen! Next time, I am getting breakfast and a dessert!

Yelp
We come here a lot and are huge Yum fans. If you are a parent, this place checks a ton of boxes. I like the space, it is open and airy with lots of light streaming in. There is a big enough menu of staples like egg sandwiches and french toast to keep the kiddos happy. There is also enough space between the tables in most of the dining area to stash a stroller, too. Also, there is a room in the back if you come with a couple of other parents and need room to stretch out and not bother everyone else in the main dining area. Yum is very convenient to the western part of the city and they have parking, too!

Yelp
Trying to get to all the places I want to survive post this pandemic. I recently ordered takeout from Yum & was surprised to see how busy it was. It was good to see they are getting a lot of local support! Pre-COVID, I came here a lot- for Mother's Day, mtgs, brunch, etc. It's a gem of St Louis Park & I even met w/ the mayor here. The atmosphere is open & friendly & I absolutely appreciate how much parking they have. It's usually always packed, though not usually very diverse so I feel like I stick out sometimes but staff have always been friendly. THE PROCESS: Post COVID, they've adapted well to takeout. Their online ordering is easy & I love that they have designated parking spots for picking-up your food. You just call & someone brings it out in a bag. If they're busy, I've had to wait a little while but they are always very nice. Love that the takeout containers are all compostable & recyclable too & they don't give you useless utensils. THE FOOD: - What to Order: For breakfast, get the California Scramble! For lunch or dinner, get their chicken noodle soup, steak sandwich or open-faced tuna melt. For all times, get their bakery goods. You cannot go wrong with getting their scones & desserts. In fact, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't take home a cupcake each time! - Less of a fan of: Be warned that their pickles are meh so you are not as disappointed as this pickle-lover every time I get that salty cucumber thing. One improvement they could make is having food containers that have holes in it so crispy things stay crispy. The fish & chips were soggy by the time I got home. The fries were tasteless other than the oil. This is usually my husband's go-to pre-covid, but unless the container changes, this is better for when we can eat in-person again. Overall satisfying American fare & can't wait to meet folks here again when it feels safe and responsible to do so! Go check out this family-owned, neighborhood-friendly place!

Yelp
This place was recommended, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that you might have a decent meal here. Even though it was relatively empty in the late afternoon, we had to wait an incredibly long time for our food. Verging on 40 minutes. There were employees hanging from the ceiling. They definitely didn't seem short staffed. When my lunch companion inquired after about half an hour, she was just told " we're making it now". I mean, it's salads. Should they take that long? They didn't seem short staffed, just moving at DMV employee speed. No offense if you work for the DMV- I just don't want you make my salad. When I got it, it honestly wasn't worth the wait. The chicken was overdone and rubbery and it all lacked any real flavor. The lemonade was dynamite though, and the baked goods looked fantastic. Maybe an off day? I probably wouldn't go back. Consistency is important and You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
