"Yum! Kitchen and Bakery is offering Passover dishes and accompaniments for takeout from all four of its locations: St. Paul, St. Louis Park, Shady Oak, and Minnetonka. Grab a quart of matzo ball soup and pair it with a four-pack of golden-brown popovers, a whole roasted chicken, or a half-pint of chopped liver. Big salads with snap peas, grape tomatoes, and watermelon radishes will help feed a large gathering, and desserts like coconut macaroons and chocolate almond treats are available as well. Yum! Kitchen and Bakery is also offering single matzo balls, matzo granola, and matzo toffee — a great snack for the eight days of Passover when chametz is off the table." - Justine Jones

Pretty solid place. Got the breakfast sandwich.. nothing special really, just a simple sandwich which I was expecting. But also came with chips so that was a nice surprise. Mimosa was good. Friend got a chicken sandwich and it looked SO good, I was jealous. Cute environment w/ plenty of seating & natural lighting. There is a medium ish sized parking lot in the back or street parking (which may be a little more scarce but still doable).

Everything was absolutely gorgeous! I love the setup of the place. They had diverse seating, which I love! The baker's seem to do everything in their, I don't know if bakers are also the dishwashers, but I do hope that's a separate job. And I also hope they're being paid reasonable wages for all of their responsibilities. It's not common for the bakers/ cooks to do everything in a restaurant. They better be living very comfortably for all of their responsibilities! The service was friendly and attentive! Our food was exquisite, and it was my first time there and it was above my expectations! Absolutely amazing and I will suggest this place to all my friends!

Google
U pre order of their delicious menu, they give u number and when ready they bring ur food. Great service delicious food. If u like French fries then they a MUST. They come with 3 sauces:) yumm, ha. Their tomato soup was delicious, different but so good, again if you like tomato soup. I got the tacos, they were ok, the rest of food was great.

Google
Yum Kitchen and Bakery is a true delight! The moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh baked goods welcomes you. The menu offers a fantastic variety of both sweet and savory options, all made with quality ingredients. I particularly loved their pastries—they're light, flaky, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal or a quick coffee break. The staff is friendly and passionate about their food, which really enhances the experience. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food and baked goods! Highly recommend!

Google
yum! serves expertly prepared and comforting dishes in a bright, cozy environment and at reasonable prices. I was impressed by the professionalism of all the staff, and the high quality of the food. This is a special restaurant and bakery that shouldn’t go overlooked. It is clear there is a great deal of care put into the menu items and that the establishment is well managed. It was a great last-minute stop for dinner on a Sunday evening. I highly recommend the salmon kale salad, fries, chicken strips, and broccolini. Relatively simple fare but done exceptionally well.

Google
Delicious, hot , fresh, gourmet feel. Wonderful, staff that made me feel welcome as this was y first visit. Only complaint..they may have forgot to turn on the hood fans when cooking and an overwhelming smell of something burning overtook the restaurant. It only lasted a few minutes, but enough to give me a headache. I arrived when right when they opened so it might had been an oversight.

Google
It was "Okay". I got the fish and chips. The portion was really good. The batter on the fish was crispy and nicely done. However, after about two pieces, I could taste how oily the fish and batter was. I've had better. The fries were not cooked long enough as they were soggy. My wife had the Sezchuan Salmon. She liked the fish and the green beans and thought overall it was good. I also saw a fly in the cookie display, should have caught a picture of that.

I'll preface this by saying that I know this location is new, and there are a lot of kinks to be worked out. I ordered the Penne's cousin Mac and Cheese, and my husband had fish and chips. A few minutes after being seated, a man (maybe an owner or manager?) came over and set an order of fries at our table. We assumed it was part of the fish and chips, and started snacking on them. (They were delicious) Shortly after, he came back and brought my husband's fish and chips, and brownie points for them for the free fries. 😀 He came back yet again and I asked what we were still missing, and promptly brought over my dish. I wanted to love it. It looked really good but it was just ok. Pretty bland and lacking flavor My husband said his fish was good, but the batter was rubbery and not crisp. We both agreed that the fresh cut fries and slice of coconut cake we shared were the clear winners of our meal. Overall, for the price, our food was just ok. However, the staff we interacted with were all great, and the place is really nice. We will definitely try their breakfast when we're able and give it another chance. It's good to see something new in our city.

Yelp
Zero complaints about Yum! I was in bakery heaven, right when I walked in seeing all of those treats behind the counter. They all looked so delicious. I wish my waistline would allow me to have one of each. I came with some friends, this place is really good for groups with an average amount of noise. You walk in order your food sit at a table and it's brought out to you, which was a really nice service. I ordered the sampler salad that came with egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad on a bed of fresh dressed greens and I'm pretty sure I would have licked the plate if it wasn't bad table manners. One friend got a lobster roll, which she enjoyed, and another got the shrimp tin salad, which she didn't really care for. I heard the s'mores Brownie was a 10/10, so will be back to try that later. There was a decent amount of parking on the street and also a small lot adjacent to the restaurant. Lots of options I think to please just about anyone.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a quick work meeting and grabbed a London fog with oatmilk - no complaints here! It was a large drink and lasted me the whole meeting (and was hot the whole time). Staff was friendly and relatively speedy. No great vegan options on the menu for food but what was coming out looked great. Plenty of seating options, very sunny and open cafe.

Yelp
Southwest breakfast is amazing with just enough spice. The French toast is amazing! My 7-year old said it's the best French toast he's ever tried. The breakfast sandwich was good but we didn't' like the sausage that much so we will get bacon next time.

Yelp
Good neighborhood spot for a quick bite or catch up. You order a variety of hearty home cooked foods at the counter, grab a number, and the server will bring your food to your table. Open floor plan with great lighting. Food is nothing special but feels well made and relatively healthy. Overall great brunch, lunch, and dinner spot when you want to eat well but don't want to spend too much money or take yourself too seriously.

Susie R.

Yelp
Nice place with great service. I love the service here. I hope the employees are being paid well because they are always so sweet and it's makes the experience memorable. :) The place is cozy and modern! I def think the service and ambiance is better than the food lol. The food is very simple. They have a huge menu to choose from. You can get just about anything. It's really Just fine! Nothing really to write about. Decently priced. Worth visiting if you want a chill place to eat and catch up. :)

Yelp
A good friend who thinks highly of Yum invited me to join him for lunch here. I had once before and was sorely disappointed when the salad I ordered was missing the advertised ingredients because they ran out of them and served it to me anyway. I agreed to join him again and after my latest experience will not go back again. Ordered the open-faced egg sandwich served on a muffin. Since I'm a vegetarian I asked them to leave off the bacon (no price adjustment). The egg was done nicely but the muffin underneath was cold and wet barely defrosted from a trip through a microwave. For the price of this item I could buy 3 dozen eggs at my local coop, I had also ordered tea that was served in a plastic cup like they do their pop and water, that was barely above room temperature. There is a reason that tea cups and mugs have handles and are often served on saucers-tea is hot. Had the server had to handle a cup like this with a temp of say 160-180 they would have risked burning themselves. The ambiance is nice enough, but I didn't come for the atmosphere.

Yelp
What an unexpected and outstanding find ! 5 in our party all with different choices and each and every one of us loved every bite. As if the delicious food wasn't enough , the service here is even better. Brendan (sp?) checked to see if we were enjoying our food and when he found we were visiting from out of town brought cake to all of us . My only wish for Yum is they would expand to the Atlanta area. Don't miss this wonderful restaurant if you are fortunate enough to be in the area !!

Yelp
It was our first time at Yum! Yesterday and the menu was full of my fav foods. High energy space with several areas to sit, bright and cheerful. Hubby was ready for breakfast but we missed the cutoff by a few mins - however there was a breakfast sandwich so he ordered it. I ordered the tuna melt. Neither were served warm enough to melt the cheese and neither of us were happy. My friend ordered the grilled salmon salad and it was beautiful! The salmon was hot off the grill and served on top of the salad. I would order that if I ever went back.

Allie M.

Yelp
Food 3/5 - The Summer Salmon Salad and Brussels Sprouts were good but the burger was not. The burger was way over done (and was not asked "how would you liked it done ") and the pickles on the side were more like cucumbers. Overall would not get the burger again here but the other two items were delicious. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - A bright and colorful cafe/bakery, the inside was well laid out.

Yelp
I've been meaning to stop here for awhile. Heard great things and placed an order to go to try it for myself. I ordered the breakfast burrito. I'm not a huge burrito person, but this was great. I noticed they used mashed potatoes in this burrito and I was curious. Made to order and worth the wait. The meal was warm and one of the best burritos I've had. The cashier told me they change out their menu often, but this is a staple dish. I'd get that again. It was paired with chips and pico de gallo. I got a banana cream pie to go. Looking forward to trying that.

Yelp
I've been to Yum's SLP location several times, but recently stopped by this location for lunch with my coworkers. Everyone's meals were delicious as usual and super fresh! Service was great and the location is super bright and welcoming with tons of seating. I loved that they had some reserved parking available in the back as well. Great location close to Patina to do some post-lunch shopping!

Kripa M.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service, really good desserts and big, beautiful space. Will certainly be back to try more things on the menu.

Yelp
This place was amazing!! So let's dive in! The vibe in here is immaculate! Very open, natural lighting, clean and modern! The service here was wonderful. Everyone was smiling, wiling to answer questions and gave plenty of time to look at the menu, without feeling pressured to order right away. Let's talk about the best part: food!! You can really taste the love cooked/baked/prepared in each item!! I would compare the type of food here to Zupas or Panera but on steroids! It's just so much better! I had the steak sandwich and it was fabulous! The desserts were also amazing! I got a sugar cookie for my kiddo and it was HUGE! It was soft and not overly frosted or sweet! I tried a dessert with rhubarb in it and it was also spectacular! The perfect amount of sweetness to cut the bitterness, very well done! The cupcake and cake were moist and flavored so well!! Overall, I can not wait to come back! Their salads looked AMAZING!! They also had some alcoholic beverages I'd love to try!

Renee T.

Yelp
Great place for time together with family & friends. The owners, Robbie & Patty make everyone feel welcome. Two small suggestions, please turn the music down on the patio, the traffic, passing fire truck and guest conversation was overload for two guests wearing hearing aids. Please add GF bread to sandwich menu items, as two of my out of town visitors are allergic to gluten and really wanted to try the sandwiches. We made it work and appreciate staff confirming the Ahi Tuna tacos were served with corn tortillas! As always the food was good and the service always friendly!

Abigail H.

Yelp
I will always recommend yum! The menu covers such a wide variety of things and they do them well so well. Everyone can find something they like which makes it great for groups. The staff are super friendly and helpful they all seem happy to be there and help you! I am convinced I could eat at Yum! All week and never get sick of it because of the variety and quality. I have never had anything I didn't like or that was poorly made here. The lemon chicken is a great recommendation for first time guests! If you go in the fall a pumpkin bar is a MUST! Best pumpkin bar I've ever had.

Laura K.

Yelp
First impression is just wow. What a stunning restaurant. Yum! is like an upscale Panera in that it's made to order "fast food" but the food feels very high quality and homemade. The prices reflect that but I love this quick option in Woodbury. I went to lunch with my two kids and we shared a few things. The chicken strips were huge and very tasty. The breading was crispy and the chicken was juicy. I didn't love the salad- the blue cheese really overpowered the salad dressing. The fries are hand cut and 10/10. The 9 year old was shocked they don't have ranch dressing. Mac and cheese was also a hit with the kids so overall we were all very happy with our first experience. I look forward to trying out breakfast and their entrees soon. Overall, a sophisticated cafe environment with healthy relatively quick options. Yay for Yum!

Tony W.

Yelp
Had a good lunch here at Yum! I had a bowl of soup and salad was the perfect amount of food for a lunch portion!

Claire M.

Yelp
Yum kitchen and bakery had a pleasant set up, it was quite busy while we were visiting on the weekend. Lots of parking available when we stopped. Overall, I thought the price was not worth what we received. We paid nearly $22 (with tip) for the Hugo's Baja Mahi tacos which were about average. The mahi felt a bit dry and bland and I would have liked to see just more overall for the price. The tortillas came wrapped in news paper, one of which was already ripped and unusable. In all, it felt like there was a lot of potential, especially given that their ingredients are fresh and locally sourced!

Galligan G.

Yelp
Delicious, carefully prepared food in a bright uplifting setting. We are so lucky to have these cafes

Jon H.

Yelp
Wow! A friend suggested this for a nice Monday work brunch spot and I am very happy I checked it out today. The inside was clean, organized and well-laid out. You order at the counter and get a number to bring to your table. The worker was very flexible and allowed me to order breakfast though I just missed the cut-off time. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. 5-stars for a mix of flavor and great crispy chips as a side! I will be back to try out other items on their extensive menu. I have heard they are also a good option for take-out!

Doc T.

Yelp
Everyone knows that Yum is the spot for fun treats and some good food BUT today I had an experience that will leave a bad taste in my mouth for months to come, LITERALLY! About a month ago I ordered a hot Chai tea latte, it came out to the table and suddenly a waft of what resembled an Indian restaurant or some very pungent curry dish surrounded the table like a thick fog. Thinking that they had expanded their menu to include some sort of Indian cuisine, I didn't think much of it. I proceeded to take a sip of my chai tea, and there it was... they use curry powder in their chai tea latte drinks! I sent it back, but the damage was done... all I could taste was curry for hours later. I also didn't smell... great. I brushed it off and came back this morning with my wife for her birthday brunch! We ordered, you guessed it, Chai tea lattes to go! Driving away, we both took a sip and nearly vomited on each-other. The curry powder was still part of their drink mix! In fact, they even sprinkle it on top as a sort of garnish. To knock it out of the park with food and baked goods, and absolutely shit the bed when it comes to something as basic as a chai tea latte... blows me away! Yum, stop trying, so damn hard and get rid of the freaking curry powder. You're killing me dude. It's a latte, not Tikka masala! My advice: never go here for a chai tea latte, stick to the cookies and cupcakes.

Gifty V.

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch cause I was craving a good salad. The salad was A+ and precisely what I wanted. I could go lighter on the dressing, but that was a non-issue. My partner had a chicken club that was 9/10. According to him, what would have made it a 10/10 is the option of a side salad instead of chips and more honey mustard. Also, the pickle was more cucumber than pickle.

Grace S.

Yelp
Yum is a restaurant very popular among St. Thomas students and I had heard good things from some friends so a group of friends and I went for breakfast. Upon walking in, the atmosphere is very bright, modern and clean. There is a large case of delicious looking pastries and a menu above. The menu is a bit tough to see but they have physical menus you can look at. After ordering my 12$ breakfast burrito from a friendly greeter, I grabbed a number and found a seat. We were served out food quickly and upon first glance, I was impressed with my food. The burrito was filled well but in my opinion, quite dry. The avocado didn't bring as much to the burrito as I thought and the potatoes, while good, continued to dry out the burrito. The chips were fine and the salsa had a decent flavor. The Yum! breakfast had flavorful potatoes and fluffy eggs but the sausage was a bit dry. The California scramble was good and had a unique flavor. The sprouts did seem a little odd in the dish but overall it was my favorite option. I also had the cupcake which was incredibly moist and by far the best thing I had. Overall I would recommend this restaurant but beware some of the items can be a bit dry.

Jamie M.

Yelp
Been there a couple times and always very good. Unique offerings all very good. Service good. Even though you order at counter the staff that brings your food very helpful

Ava C.

Yelp
My mom and I went to Yum! on a Friday afternoon around 2 pm. We parked in their private parking lot which was a plus to park easily. Going around the end of the lunch rush was perfect as their was plenty of seating and not much of a wait to order. The restaurant is really bright and welcoming with many options to order. They even had an entire coffee bar and a dessert bar off to the side. If you go to Yum! please order the Date Night salad. It was so good with a fun array of flavors. I also ordered the Tuna Melt which was a nice dish of comfort food. My mom ordered the clam chowder and the chicken tenders and really enjoyed both. I am really excited to go back and try more of their food as there was so much to choose from!

Hien L.

Yelp
Herb tea is cold and very good less sweet. I did drink tea my spirit felt cold and good

Courtney B.

Yelp
I like this spot, but I don't love it. I want to love it, but I've come 3 or 4 times and have always felt like something is lacking. The prices are very high for the quality and quantity of food. The space feels large and open, not the cozy or comfy vibe I would hope for in a bakery. Service is at the counter- order and wait style. Coffee drinks are good, breakfast is good, as are the cupcakes. Overall good, but perhaps I'm ordering the wrong things.

Susan K.

Yelp
There is really not much on the menu that is gluten-free except the meats; would be helpful to see what items can be GF if requested. Nice to know if GF bread is an option for sandwiches.

MD R.

Yelp
High quality, made from scratch food. Excellent overall, fairly simple menu ordered at the counter, delivered to your table. All the staff have been great, knowledgeable and friendly. But if you need lotsa back and forth with the waitstaff throughout the meal, you won't like it here. Dining area is bright, clean, spacious- really nice!

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I had fish and chips! Best I have had in a long time. French fries are fresh cut or seem to be. Crispy. Well done. Yummy for sure. I paid for extra tartar sauce but don't think it was very much. They serve it in a cool basket with a nice paper layer. Looks really nice. Other peoples food looked great too. The salads looked huge! I would definitely go here again!

Dominik D.

Yelp
I think when millennials, yuppies, and foodies walk around looking for places to eat, they are hoping to find places like this. It's a spacious restaurant with attention to aesthetics. The staff seemed like they were trying a little bit harder than at many places. The Food was top notch, breakfast sandwich and Angel cupcake were both the kinds of items I'd have again. I don't usually notice the unsweetened iced tea at places, but here it was just a little fresher/more tasteful.

Andrea K.

Yelp
Visited once and ordered takeout and loved the food both times! I think of it as an upscale Panera. Delicious Food and a fun cafeteria atmosphere. Order at the counter, take a seat and wait for deliciousness. Would especially recomendable the French toast.

Joel G.

Yelp
Quick, enjoyable variety of food, comfy place, great parking! So many tasty options, several notches above the usual all purpose restaurants. Better than Panera, etc.

Avery M.

Yelp
I love Yum! Yum! is great cafe food. Similar to the glory days of cafe latte, they've got a great selection of classics and DELISH desserts. The quality is worth the cost!

John C.

Yelp
A very solid spot to grab lunch. The floor to ceiling windows let you people watch to your hearts desire at one of St. Paul's busiest intersections. I got their fish and chips which were good. The batter was super crispy, but seemingly ethereal and completely disappeared after taking a bite. My particular dish had really thin strips of fish so it seemed like I was mostly eating fried batter. Fries were skin on and pleasantly earthy and salty.

Laura O.

Yelp
Got a cupcake from here for my cousins birthday celebration tonight, I picked out a vanilla with vanilla frosting. My rating would be just ok, Not rave worthy, just tasted like any store cupcake, the frosting was VERY thick and VERY sugary. Cake just tasted like average vanilla cupcake. It gave me what I wanted just wish it was more note worthy for future purchase. Not good, for sure not Great, but not bad either. Wish I had taken a photo.

Treena C.

Yelp
On a cold dreary winter day, this is a big, bright spot to sit and enjoy a visit and some good food. I love the decor and all of the windows. Upon entering you are greeted with gorgeous baked goods; cupcakes with thick icing caught my eye. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. The staff are friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. They have a nice variety of choices from pizza and salads to tacos and salmon. I can't imagine someone would not find something they like here. I tried the clam chowder and it was very tasty. We shared the date night salad and it was unforgettable. I will be back for this again. They also offer family style food that you can take home. Lunch prices are between $10 and $15.

Theresa L.

Yelp
Super busy when we went but overall service was timely . Bright, clean space with friendly staff. Nice to have a new restaurant in Woodbury!!

Whitney S.

Yelp
Service was friendly, food was amazing, and the price was reasonable. The restaurant was also clean, spacious and very cute. Highly recommend the berry scone-- so delicious!!

Noah R.

Yelp
My wife and I have been here twice. The first time the food was pretty good and they were busy and efficient and getting our food rolled out hot. The pumpkin cheesecake was absolutely fantastic. For our anniversary we decided to stop in and grab two desserts to go. There was a line 3 deep and a single woman in her 50s taking orders while three younger employees stood around talking and periodically taking meals out. We went to the desert lane and were told That he could take our orders normally, but he had orders to fill so we would need to wait in the other line. He then proceeded to take two receipts fill the orders In two minutes later, prepared a warm drink that he started to drink while walking behind the counter and stopping to talk to his coworkers, still casually conversing. It took 20 minutes to get a cupcake and a slice of cake because only the woman in her 50s, who was taking orders, was helping customers, while the younger employees sat with not helping a person. The only reason this review gets two stars is because the dessert is actually pretty good. The service and demeanor of the younger employees was so offputting that we will never go back. For thought.

Howard S.

Yelp
not my grandmas passover rolls i was a little disappointed with the popover style rolls. my grandmother was a kosher caterer and she made the more pate choux stlye rolls. but when i stepped to the counter at 7 pm and asked to buy a roll i was told they only had enough for either a sandwich or i had to buy a 4 pack. this makes zero sense. i really wanted a chop liver sandwich but they were out of chop liver. anyway, i ordered a 4 pack and a tuna sandwich and all were disappointing.

Christopher S.

Yelp
Fun setting, but the food is simply ok/good, nothing to get excited about at all. Prices are awful but aren't great, either. The sweets look good.

Emily A.

Yelp
Visited 1/2/23. First visit to yum!, and it was a great experience for my mom, my sister and I. They have their own parking lot which is really nice but there's also plenty of street parking as well. We went for lunch and it was pretty busy even at 1:30 when we got there. We ordered at the counter and it took about 15-20 min for our food to arrive. Everything that we ate was fabulous! I got the turkey focaccia which had chilled fresh turkey and some awesome aioli on it. It's on more of a focaccia bun rather than a flatter focaccia for the bread. My sister adored the Yum! Veggie sandwich and she remarked that it was fresh and super tasty. Her and I split a side of the Mac and cheese which was such a good decision. I'm going to be honest I was unsure about the Mac and cheese at first look because it looked so simple but let me tell you, it was amazing! Super creamy and cheesy and definitely a great thing to split. My mom got the salmon salad and said she liked it and would get it again. Didn't get to try any desserts on this occasion but hope to visit again to try some of these.

Scott T.

Yelp
Yum is one of my favorite eating establishments in St. Paul. They have a diverse menu and their food seems consistently fresh and well-made. I've also had many pleasant interactions with their staff and feel the atmosphere is great for enjoying a meal with family, friends, or solo. I'd like to specifically call out the Patticake as I love to get a slice for any special occasion, it's very dense and a great balance of sweetness!

Michelle W.

Yelp
Excellent everything. Light, bright vibe and great food. The salmon is always excellent Great addition to Woodbury

Tisha B.

Yelp
What back in the day was O'garas bar with the new everything this is a shiny addition to the corner. Bright and friendly atmosphere food ... "regular" coffee was very good. Chicken club was nice, it needed a dipping sauce. Tad bit dry, house made chips very tasty. And the star of the lunch was the Patticake slice. Dense dark chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. DELICIOUS!!! If nothing else come for the cake and the people watching....

Elizabeth O.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with choosing to go to YUM! I love the St. Paul location with the bright windows. Food is always fast and really great!

Donielle S.

Yelp
Have gone to yum! before but it was our first time having breakfast. Everything was delicious.

Kamrin D.

Yelp
We order food to-go from here more times than I can count. I love the variety of salad, sandwiches, and other dinner options. Everything is fresh and I haven't had anything I didn't like. My go-to is the salmon Szechuan. It's served with pistachios, delicious rice and perfectly cooked beans. I seriously get this every time. I also like the tuna melt with the fresh chips. I also can't help but getting a dessert or scone for breakfast the following day. If you haven't been to one of the Yum locations I would highly recommend it.
