"An Alpharetta location of Korean taco and burrito restaurant Yumbii opens this spring in the former Bezoria space at the Atwater shopping center across from Avalon on Old Milton Parkway. It marks the first Yumbii location to open outside the Perimeter since opening in Atlanta’s Brookwood Hills neighborhood six years ago. Known for its mash-up of Korean and Mexican dishes, Yumbii will serve the restaurant’s full menu of tacos and burritos stuffed with bulgogi, Korean fried chicken, and panko-crusted tilapia as well as sandwiches, like a Philly topped with Sriracha queso and cucumber kimchi, and hot wings sauced with honey Sriracha. In addition to tacos and burritos, expect the menu in Alpharetta to also feature Yumbii’s popular sesame fries, build-your-own salads and rice bowls, and to serve beer, wine, tequila, and margaritas. Founded as food truck by Carson Young in 2010, Yumbii now includes restaurants in the Brookwood Hills and Toco Hills neighborhoods. Two new in-town locations open at the Moores Mill shopping center on Marietta Boulevard this spring and at Midtown Promenade on Monroe Drive in the fall, alongside two new outposts of Young’s walk-up window the Queso Shop." - Beth McKibben

My brother and his wife have been telling me about this amazing spot! After a few months had pass by, Alpharetta decided to open a new location right across from the Avalon. 🙌 The inside was very clean! As my girlfriend and I walked in, we were greeted by an amazing Young Adult name Francisco! He was very welcoming! My girlfriend and I had a great conversation with him! Customer Service was definitely a 10/10!🔥

Google
Yumbii is so yummy! I got chicken and ribeye tacos along with the sesame fries. The sesame fries were top notch. It was like they had two different flavors on them. The ketchup also has a unique pleasant taste. The flavors of the tacos were good and not as robust with the seasoning. It was more subtle compared to those fantastic fries. It was a good blend of soft and strong flavors for your tastebuds. We will be back to try other things on the menu. They have ice cream push pops with different flavors and a Coca-Cola freestyle machine. My son tried the burrito and loved it. The staff was pleasant, and there was easy access to parking.

Google
Absolutely killer food, delicious margaritas, great service and super awesole vibe! The tofu was fantastic on the rice bowl and quesadilla! Also, the elote corn was some of the best we've had. 100% would recommend and will definitely be back.

Google
The Korean Mexican restaurant, Yumbii offers a unique fusion of flavors, blending Korean spices into standard Mexican cuisine. Prices are at par with other restaurants, making it a good value for the quality of food provided for a midweek dinner. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth service We tried the two taco combo- chicken and shrimp, quesadilla with Korea style chicken, sesame fries, Mexican corn and home made aqua fresca - cucumber lime. Mexican corn was the best followed by aqua Fresca. The only thing I would have liked is checking with the customer on the spices level (we found it less spicy) and sugar dust on fries. Overall, a great spot to explore Korean-Mexican fusion, worth trying.

Google
So excited that a Yumbii is in the Alpharetta area. Been to their food trucks and enjoyed the tacos. The restaurant has pretty space with the open kitchen concept. They have a self order kiosk or front counter to order. This time I tried out the wings. Pretty good size proportion and of course had to get the signature fries. A nice addition across from the Avalon. The tacos will next to try. 😀

Google
This is a cool little restaurant located just across from the Avalon. Great place for freshly made tacos, burritos, and wings. They had great music, excellent food, and kind staff. Daniel took our order and gave us some great recommendations on the menu. The Panko Shrimp taco was particularly delicious! We’ll be stopping by again on our next time through Alpharetta. Thank you Daniel and Yumbii!

Got the asian rib eye beef, spicy pulled pork, and the breaded shrimp tacos and a side of fries. All in all it's a pretty good spot and will be back again.

Google
Amazing service and delicious food! Yumbii has very quickly become me and my friends’ favorite place to swing by and grab something to eat. The staff couldn’t be any nicer!!!! Wonderful experience (We LOVE Violet to the moon and back)

Yelp
We had tried the original food truck Yumbii during our college years -- and therefore delighted to see that it had made its way to storefront-- especially in Alpharetta. FOOD: Fries/side large portion size. Tacos okay-- except the chicken taco was dry/mediocre. SERVICE: the food came out piping hot. The cashier at the front, however, did not seem to have much experience nor interest in working(?). She incorrectly took our order (and the price ended up being $5-8 more $). When I mentioned this to her, she seemed confused and nonchalant about it. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDERS. AMBIENCE: good lighting, clean/plenty of seating.

Yelp
First time trying Yumbii. The service was good and the menu was pretty straightforward. I thought the prices were a high for what you get. I was not a fan of the tacos at all. Maybe I just ordered the wrong ones, but it just didn't taste very good. The fries were good though and that's probably the only thing I'd come back for.

Natalie T.

Yelp
Would not eat here again, only the fries were good The service was just subpar, the store looked nice, but the food was just not there. The fish tasted like the frozen fish sticks you can get at the grocery store, tofu had no flavor, the beef was literally inedible. Don't recommend

Yelp
In desperate need of leadership here. Looong wait for fries and 2 tacos. Gal making fries was pulling out basketball size clumps of fries all stuck together. Had to recook a batch cuz not shaken upon entering oil. No ice in drink machine. Moved from task to task with same gloves on. And no ketchup for the famous fries. As walking out with to go order I look for ketchup. None. Go ask. We out. Awesome.

Yelp
What a great spot! Truely a mexican asian fusion restaurant. The food was do delicious, I really can't complain about it! The portions were big! The service was quick - from order to the minute we got the food ~10 mins. The sesame fries and tacos were so tasty!! I hope this place stays the same!! Definitely becoming a regular!

Yelp
Such a great addition to Alpharetta! Fast casual restaurant full of the most delicious sesame fries I've had in a while and several different types of tacos! They have several combos (which even include a drink) that made it the perfect kind of place to grab lunch! Food was hot and quickly brought to our table! The employees were friendly and offered suggestions when we ordered!

Kim W.

Yelp
Excellent food! We've been fans of Yumbii for years but had to drive into the city to enjoy their buffalo tacos. So glad Alpharetta location opened. They do not disappoint! All of the food is fantastic! Sesame fries are always delicious, portions are great and staff friendly.

Yelp
Service: B pretty fast and quick but they did mess it up staff was very nice Food: F the only thing that was good was the fries TACOS -overpriced for what it is -dry not enough sauce -korean bbq chicken was more bbq chicken than korean bbq chicken -beef taco is not tender -fish taco look like a frozen fish stick that they just fried it -did not marinate and cook the food -the only good thing was the pork Ambience: A+++++ loved the area! it felt cozy and cute!

Yelp
This was my first time here but not my last! pretty awesome place. server was extremely nice and patient explaining the menu. i ordered the quesadilla thinking it was going to be something light as I was not too hungry. it came out as this huge and extremely tasty three piece meal. My son's meal was even better, picking out 3 tacos. he liked the shrimp one best but beef was a close second. lots of food for a reasonable price. Restaurant is very casual, which is what we expected. music was good. lighting was good. And if you like to drink, they've got an the selections covered. need to try their fries next time we come.

Yelp
Excellent food and service!! I have had several times there and always delicious. Food has some kick to it so if you like spicy this is your place!! They have margaritas as we

Brent A.

Yelp
Good grief this place hit the sad trifecta of bad service, high prices and food so incredibly inedible... we all took ours home for the dogs. We waited for over a year for them to open and then waited a few weeks for them to get over some growing pains but wow! The folks who work there must have thought we were having a great time but we were all tasting each other's food and laughing about how bad it was. This has never happened! Giving 4 stars because the dogs liked what we brought home and it could have a been a bad day for them.

Angela B.

Yelp
Rude. We walked in for dinner on Saturday evening and all the guy said was we're only doing takeout. No hello. Won't be back.

Joshua S.

Yelp
Really solid food. 28 bucks for two bowls and fries. The fries are giant and really freaking good. So are the bowls.

Edward B.

Yelp
Service was slow to take our order. Need to train cashiers before they start. $2.00 for a glass of water. I give them 6 months. Food was dry and not worth the wait. Will try in 7 months

Gerald L.

Yelp
Awesome addition to Alpharetta! Great salads and the Sesame Fries are superb! Can't wait for their bar to open

Trevor Q.

Yelp
I love breaded wings, and I am stoked to say I finally have a place nearby that makes them.

J K.

Yelp
Friendly service & delicious food!! Glad to see another food option In Alpharetta and looking forward to trying more things next time.

Yelp
Terrible food and service. A very disappointing frustrating experience just tying to order tacos for 3 people. We got a sampling of meats to try and were not happy with any of them. Steak, chicken, pork and shrimp were all overcooked, dry and tasteless. We essentially spent $60 on bad tacos. Not a good addition to the neighborhood after all - when we had hopeful expectations.

Yelp
This is a new restaurant that opened about a month ago right across the street from Avalon and it is well worth the visit! Their sesame fries, OMGoodness, so so YUMMY! I don't even like chipotle, but their homemade chipotle ketchup with the fries, a must try! I've had a few different tacos as well, and also just as delicious. Enjoy!

Yelp
I went in because the place was new to me. I found out this store had been in its present location for approximately five months. I asked what the house specialty was. I was asked whether I liked tacos, to which I responded, yes. I was recommended the buttermilk chicken as my protein. It was then suggested to me that I try another protein, to which I decided on the Asian spiced beef for the 2nd taco. These both seem like strange ingredients for tacos, but it worked exceptionally well. not only was the protein tasty, but when it was combined with the sauce and the fresh jalapeños, and everything else, I really enjoyed it. When I went to complete my order, I was told then what the house specialty was... sesame fries. I purchased the combo and got the fries. Initially, I was surprised that tacos would go with fries. I'm glad I decided to venture out. The fries came out hot and stayed hot for a long period of time. They were exceptionally tasty without the ketchup, but the special ketchup really made it a treat. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for its food, and I will return with my wife so that she can experience it. I would, however, recommend that they tidy up the general seating area, as well as the bathrooms. The gentleman that served me behind the counter was incredibly accommodating. I hope this place succeeds. Oh, by the way, they had a great selection of tequilas to choose from, but it was too early in the day for me to partake. I look forward to going back in the evening.
