Asian-Mexican fusion tacos, unique fries, and house-made drinks

"A Korean taco-and-burrito concept slated to open at Midtown Promenade as part of the center's 2022 revamp; this location will be the brand's fourth in Atlanta, joining existing spots in Brookwood Hills and Toco Hills. The outpost is part of a coordinated local expansion that includes a nearby sister takeout queso concept and additional planned openings at the Publix-anchored Moores Mill Shopping Center, positioning the brand as a growing quick-casual presence in the city." - Beth McKibben

"Having first launched as a food truck over a decade ago, I note that Carson Young founded his Korean taco-and-burrito restaurant Yumbii and opened its first permanent location seven years later in Atlanta’s Brookwood Hills neighborhood; in 2020 he opened a second location in Toco Hills by taking over a former Radio Shack at the Toco Hill Shopping Center on North Druid Hills Road. The Toco Hills location includes a covered patio and an expanded food-and-drink menu, and it supplies tacos and quesadillas to the nearby Queso Shop." - Beth McKibben

"The Korean taco and burrito restaurant opened its second Atlanta location at the Toco Hill shopping complex and is open for dine-in service as well as takeout and delivery (masks required)." - Beth McKibben

"One of the first food trucks to hit the streets of Atlanta, Yumbii brought some of the best fusion tacos and seriously amazing fries to hungry customers all around town. Today, they’re in Toco Hills and Brookwood Hills and taking your takeout orders by phone, online, or through their mobile app. There’s plenty on the menu to love, including wings, a Philly sandwich, and even burritos. Pro tip? Go for the two-taco combo, which comes with fries and a Coke." - Vox Creative

"Korean taco and burrito restaurant Yumbii opens its second Atlanta location at the Toco Hill shopping complex on Friday, August 28, for dine-in service and takeout and delivery. The new location, which takes over a former Radio Shack on North Druid Hills Road, is larger than the original Brookwood Hills restaurant on Peachtree Street, includes a covered patio, and an expanded food and drink menu. Expect the latter to feature beer, wine, tequila, and margaritas. All orders are placed and paid for at the counter using a contactless payment system. As with the Brookwood Hills restaurant, takeout orders can also be placed online for pick-up. Tables in the dining room and on the patio are set at least six feet apart and include plexiglass dividers. Owner Carson Young has installed a high-efficiency HVAC filtration system at the restaurant. It’s unclear if Yumbii plans to enforce Dekalb County’s mask mandate and require patrons to wear masks when not seated at a table." - Beth McKibben
