Yume Mori - Review - Berkeley - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Yume Mori is a matcha place in Berkeley with lattes, soft serve, and crepes. A lineup of specialty drinks come with add-ons like tiramisu cream, strawberry purées, and Biscoff cookies. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Julia Chen

Google
I have to say that Pete, the owner of this Matcha Cafe really knows his matcha! Yume Mori brings the traditional taste of Japanese ceremonial grade Matcha to Berkeley! Yume Mori’s cafe from their understated decor to their beautifully crafted and tasty drinks and crepes is reminiscent of a Matcha shop you would see walking on the shotengai in Kamakura. This cafe is worth standing in line for! Thanks for bringing me such a nostalgic experience!

Google
I tried the Hojicha Tiramisu, it's like a hojicha latte but comes with tiramisu cream and a biscoff cookie. You can also switch to oat milk with no additional charge for those who are lactose intolerant. The drink is super creamy and delicious, but you can only choose no sweet or sweet. The sweetened one is more like a dessert drink. Service was relatively quick despite a line, and the cafe has some indoor benches and some outdoor seating.

Google
This is the most honest review I've ever had. The shop is located not far from BART Downtown Berkeley. Upon arriving at the shop front, you'll be greeted by a menu with beautiful artwork. Walking into the shop is very minimalist. The menu I tried was the Coco Matcha Cloud. The flavor is deep and not too sweet. It's definitely good for health-conscious people. Another one I tried was the Custard Cream Brule Crepe. I personally liked it very much. The crepe batter was very delicious. The cream was just the right amount of sweet. Finally, I can say that I will definitely come back to try all the menus.

Google
The matcha drink was delicious. However, maybe because it’s still in the soft-opening stage, the hygiene was really poor. For example, I saw an employee in the background touch their hair with gloved hands and then go straight to making a crepe. Also, I never once saw them wash the bowl used to prepare the matcha drink, and the ice machine door was left open. Since it was an open kitchen, the staff were uncomfortably close to customers, and there was no barrier, which made me worry about droplets or other foreign substances getting into the drinks. But drink was very good!!

Google
Great matcha, travelled from SJC to try this out. Didn’t disappoint! Got the basic matcha here, really liked it. They gave out matcha softies in cups as samples too, instant matcha ice cream love unlocked!

Google
I got the coconut matcha and thought the flavor was well balanced. the store is small with limited seating, but while waiting you can watch the staff hand whisk the matcha lol! I wish the matcha was more strong but will be coming back again to try their crepes! I was shocked at how tiny their cups were so I do not know if it was worth the price T-T.

Google
Very cute, trendy matcha place. Got the matcha tiramisu and it had good matcha flavor and was very creamy. Not much seating but some outdoor chairs.

Sonia G.

Google
i got a hot unsweetened hojicha latte and a double matcha latte. i feel like the matcha powder they use isn’t very strong. the latte doesn’t taste milky or anything like that, but the matcha taste wasn’t that strong.

Yelp
Flavor (5/5): I haven't had such a solid cup of matcha in a long time. I love that they have different types of matcha you can choose for your drink, hand whisk it in front of you and make such a harmonious drink. Their seasonal flavors like pumpkin was a hit too! The crepes also was such a yummy treat to share, creamy filling and a thin crepe! Their biscoff matcha alone definitely makes me want to come back. Instagram Worthy (5/5): We actually stumbled across this cafe while we were walking to lunch and the moment we saw how cute it was we knew we had to stop in. Japanese cafe, very minimal but intentional decoration. Cozy yet tasteful and very gram worthy. Not much seating tho! Service (5/5): Crepes take longer than drinks but all the staff was very efficient! Lots of people in an open concept barista area making your drinks. Takeaways: Wish it was closer to me! Not really a place for you to sit and chat, more so a grab and go. Parking can be tricky to find on a busy weekend.

Yelp
Yume Mori Matcha is the best matcha that I've had in the east bay. Each drink is made to order and you tell each one is made with care. On a Saturday around 11AM, it took about 15 mins for the line and my drink to be made. I loved the matcha ichigo and opted for extra pink foam - excellent choice! There's no tables inside and only a few small tables outside and often small groups of folks lingering outside waiting for their drinks. I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Matcha Creme Brulee -- soft and matcha filled cream crepe. The matcha flavor was so prominent and didn't taste just like regular cream only! The scorched top had the right amount of sweetness and crunch to balance with the cream! I would try the other crepes next time, this one was really delicious! This crepe was a really good quality crepe, the matcha flavor was present throughout each bite. The line was long again, but it was worth the wait for this treat!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the matcha latte and matcha crepe! It's a small shop and there is usually a wait/ no seats. They have various matcha lattes, all hand whisked on order. The crepes are also made fresh on Fri-Sun from 1pm and takes awhile to be ready but it's well worth the wait! The crepe has a great brûlée top and the cream is fluffy and not too sweet. I'm definitely coming back to try more of their menu items.

Yelp
Yume Mori Matcha met my matcha expectations! I came on a Saturday and the line wasn't too long. The space is small but the line moves quite fast. The decor has such a beautiful simple aesthetic. The staff is friendly. The menu is not large but they have great options, I wanted to try several drinks. This is what our party ordered: -Double Matcha 5/5, this was delicious, creamy and flavorful. It reminded me of the matcha I had in Kyoto. Excellent quality matcha and drink! -Matcha Ichigo 4/5: This drink would have been perfect if it had more of the strawberry puree. The matcha was delicious, but it tasted a bit bland after mixing it with the strawberry puree. I would try other drinks next time. -Tiramisu Crepe 3.5/5: I feel mixed about this crepe. While some bites were good, they lacked flavor. There was some Biscoff at the end of the crepe and a lot of cream in the middle. I wouldn't order this crepe again but I would love to try a different one. Overall, the double matcha was my favorite drink from this visit, and I would come back for it. This place is new and they have to work on consistency for some of the drinks/crepes but overall and matcha is good quality so it is worth it.

Yelp
A bunch of my friends recommended this place to place to me so I had to go check it out! I came on a Sunday evening ~5pm and there was no wait. The ordering is straight-forward with a self-serve kiosk. There is an area to park in front of the store but it is a bit tricky to get a spot. The inside is has a neutral, minimalist vibe which I thought was nice. The menu had a lot of things that I wanted to try, but I ended up getting the Matcha Tiramisu. In terms of the matcha, I thought it was solid. The matcha was smooth and there were no dreaded clumps at the bottom of my drink. I think the topping fell a bit short for me. I love Tiramisu and I didn't really get the tiramisu taste. The price is a bit expensive as well for a small drink (~$8). Overall, I liked the quality of the matcha and I think if I had gotten the classic double matcha I would've liked that better. I think the price is a bit on the higher side for matcha, but the quality was good. I would come back to try their creme brulee crepe!
google avatar

Marielle V.

Yelp
I frequent this matcha place often (since it's close to work for me) and wanted to offer some insights. Environment is open, airy. Quite small inside- but it's nice to just order straight from the screen. Matcha itself is great quality. I get the matcha tiramisu often. Though, for the price, i wish it was in a larger container. Service is always what tanks the experience for me. On both busy and non-busy days, the workers often chat for extended periods of time, make their own drinks. (This has been consistent each time I've gone). Which almost always ruins the experience. But I'll always go for the drinks themselves.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered the matcha coco cloud and the creme brulee crepe and both were delicious! The matcha coco cloud was refreshing on a hot day, and the matcha didn't taste watered down. The crepes are only available Friday - Sunday at 12 PM, until they're sold out. Sometimes, they'll be available a bit earlier before 12, so I'd recommend checking their Instagram! You order on the kiosk. The shop is a bit small and does get pretty packed, so you might have to wait outside and periodically go in to see if your order is done. The creme brulee topping was delicious, although a bit too sweet for me. It felt like I was taken back to Japan while I was eating it. It's definitely very filling as well. Seating wise, there's a small bench to sit on indoors, and a few tables and chairs outside. When I arrived on a weekend around 1, there was only about 10 people ahead of me, but I imagine that this place will get more popular once it's all over social media. There also is no restroom available, just a FIY. I'd definitely come back here again if I was in the area!

Yelp
Finally got to try out this spot and it blew my expectations out of the water! It's a cute spot along Shattuck. You order everything via a kiosk which was very convenient and quick! I ordered the tiramisu matcha and it was so good. The tiramisu cream was absolutely delicious and the cookie on top was a great touch! You can also taste the quality of the matcha and it's unmatched to any other spot in the area! I can't wait to try out more of their drinks!
google avatar

Christine F.

Yelp
This spot was absolutely overhyped. While cute and aesthetic, drinks were meh. I got the tiramisu matcha latte and I was expecting it to be amazing but it's pretty subpar. I won't be coming back here again sadly
google avatar

Yelp
===TL;DR=== - Matcha tiramisu - Matcha latte ===TMI=== Ooooweeee. With the scarcity of matcha but the surge of matcha demand, a matcha drink is sure expensive rn. For some reason, the size of this drink was smaller than I imagine. The matcha tiramisu was ok. On the naturally sweeter side, more enjoyable than the matcha latte. The matcha latte was bland.... And we think for that price and for a line out the door for this place, it shouldn't be. For my drink, there was also a broken piece of the matcha whisk inside my drink for which I sipped up...... not good and hazardous.
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
There has been so many matcha places opening in Berkeley, so I had to stop by this. Pumpkin spice hojicia is (5/5): For some reason I think the Hojicia drinks are much better in Berkeley than the matcha drinks. The pumpkin spice is a fall edition drink. The hojicia was perfectly sweet with a pleasant caramel flavor. The pumpkin spice added nice spices to make it feel like fall again. Overall really enjoy this place.
google avatar

Yelp
The matcha was good but for the size and price, I wouldnt make a trip out for this. The wait was also long. The ambiance was nice. A few patio seatings but nothing inside.

Yelp
This space is so cute!!! Love that there's a pretty matcha place. As you start walking toward this place you'll notice a line! For your first time there is it worth waiting? Yessssss Once you make it in you'll notice the cutest seats. Love the ambiance here, simple yet sweet. I ordered the creme brulee matcha custard cream with strawberry crepe! So fresh, delicate, lightly sweet and balanced. Check it out!

Yelp
!!!! this one is good. they offer two types of matcha and both are eXcellent. Especially impressed with the consistency of the drinks' quality + branding. would love to try the crepes some time but they are sometimes sold out or not available except for a certain time during the day. not much seating here, but it's a little better that way - only so much lingering can be done. drinks come out at a reasonable speed despite them handwhisking each order one by one.
google avatar

Francina L.

Yelp
Went in on a Saturday afternoon and there were a decent amount of people waiting for drinks but not ordering. They have a self order station so the process is seamless. The store front is very cute and simple aka, very Japanese. We ordered two matcha coconut clouds, a matcha ichigo and a hot matcha. The matcha was very tame; however the drinks were very well made. The coconut cloud was so refreshing especially on warm day and the ichigo had a good strawberry flavor. I would like to go back and try the hojicha as well.

Yelp
I tried the Hojicha Tiramisu, it's like a hojicha latte but comes with tiramisu cream and a biscoff cookie. You can also switch to oat milk with no additional charge for those who are lactose intolerant. The drink is super creamy and delicious, but you can't adjust the sugar level, I would say it's more like a dessert drink. Service was relatively quick despite a line, and the cafe has some indoor benches and some outdoor seating.
google avatar

Yelp
The matcha ichigo (strawberry matcha) was so refreshing and the matcha flavor was bright/bold. Matcha powders at certain places can be questionable but you can tell the quality of the one they use here is the good stuff. I'd come back and try their double matcha or other drinks too because the menu was so good it was hard to choose just one
google avatar

Yelp
I love the aesthetics of the store, especially the way they display their menu items! There are individual sketches for all of their drinks, where each ingredient is clearly labeled in the drawing. I ordered their Matcha Tiramisu drink. While I liked the open ceiling concept inside the restaurant and the aesthetics, there is no seating inside, and the space is small. While there were several visible workers, they were barely talking to each other, and none of the customers inside were talking either while waiting for their drinks. It was a bit awkward to wait inside and listen to just the music, but my friends' drinks and mine came within 15 minutes. The Matcha Tiramisu came with a Biscoff cookie on top, and the drink itself was light and creamy, with a good balance of matcha and sweetness. Loved the drink itself!

Yelp
Honestly, I have to give it to Yume Mori. This place was better than I expected. After being repeatedly disappointed by matcha spots around the Bay, this one did not disappoint. The shop is super cute and located right in downtown Berkeley. I loved the overall vibe. It was calm, clean, and aesthetic in the best way. Atmosphere Since it's new, the hype is definitely real, so be ready for a bit of a wait (I think I waited 15-20 ish minutes). The space itself feels cozy and modern, perfect for a quick caffeine stop or catching up with a friend. I also loved that they hand whisk all their matchas, which some places in the Bay actually charge extra for (not a fan). What I Ordered I got the Tiramisu Matcha and my friend ordered the Strawberry Matcha. TBH - I only got the tiramisu because it looked cute and aesthetic which is not usually something I'd go for since it sounded sweet. I opted for no extra sweetener just in case. Experience I could really taste the matcha, which I appreciated, and the Biscoff cookie on top was a fun touch. The drink was a little on the smaller side and the wait was definitely noticeable, but the milk-to-matcha ratio was solid (have you tried matcha at a boba spot, if so - you get it). Prices are a bit high, but they offer oat milk at no extra charge, which I thought was a nice plus. Final Thoughts I'm not mad about this spot at all. The matcha was good, the vibe was cute, and overall it's one of the better matcha spots I've had in the area. I'd definitely come back to try more drinks once the hype calms down a bit.

Yelp
i do like the interior vibes, i like the decor and color theme. there really isn't any place inside to sit though. but there are a few tables outside! i appreciate that you can choose the type of matcha you want- one is creamier and the other is one is more aromatic/stronger matcha flavor (?) doesn't seem like oat milk is extra which is a plus in today's economy lolol only two sweetness options: low and regular we waited around ~8 minutes or so for two drinks? which is fine. there wasn't really too long of a line when we went on a Sunday afternoon. overall i think it's fun to have more options in a lively college town such as berkeley but the prices need to reflect the overall store better.. or up the volume hahaha. the matcha latte was good but not the best i've had in the area. plus- like 3 sips and you're done
google avatar

madeeha k.

Yelp
Great matcha place to stop by for a quick drink, there's usually a like though so expect about a 10 minute wait. I tried the crepe as well and it was supperrr yummy, would def get it again! Limited seating, but a perfect grab and go spot
google avatar

Elaine W.

Yelp
Yume Mori Matcha is a great little cafe! They have a self service ordering system. Each drink is made fresh on the spot so it may take a little longer but worth the wait. I ordered the hojicha tiramisu which came with their "tiramisu cream" (taste like regular cheese cream) and a biscoff cookie on top. You can adjust the sweetness level of your drinks. The hojicha tea was nice and strong in the drink. It is all metered street parking in this area. Overall I think this little cafe is worth visit!
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Cute matcha shop with a minimalistic and industrial aesthetic. I came here on a Sunday afternoon. The line was out the door, but the wait wasn't too bad. There were a good amount of staff members hand whisking the drinks. I ordered a Double Matcha. The cup was quite small, but the drink was really good. I could definitely taste the matcha, and the flavor was nice. I would definitely recommend the Double Matcha for matcha lovers.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
I got the strawberry matcha which was nearly $10 for a 12 oz drink. It was delicious but the price point is a bit insane.
google avatar

Irene C.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it had some good business. Sign on the door says Soft Opening still. Not sure when this opened but I have a feeling it's going to be popular among matcha lovers. You can only order from an iPad up front. Interface was easy to use. Very succinct menu. We ordered 3 drinks and boy can you taste that matcha. I want to say it tastes like ceremonial matcha powder! There are no seats inside. Only a 2x4 wooden bench I suppose is only for waiting, so if you want to sit and relax there are a few chairs on the sidewalk. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
They recently changed their policy, so the crepes are only available on weekends after 1pm! we thought the crepe was just okay - the cream didn't have a strong matcha flavor, and there were some roasted rice cereal type of bits at the bottom. The matcha is great quality, but the drinks are pretty small. I like how the drinks aren't too sweet either. The matcha usucha is a great pick if you want to taste the matcha flavor. The shop is pretty small with limited seating just for waiting for your drink. It gets really popular on the weekends, but they prepare the drinks relatively fast.
google avatar

Margaret L.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I need to reduce my rating from previously because today was absolutely unacceptable for wait-time. I waited 40 minutes for two matchas (screenshot provided). My feedback and suggestions for improvement would be: - Be transparent about wait-time upon ordering. Give customers the option to consent to a long wait-time or not. That could be a written sign placed somewhere visible, or being told "Hi, we're a bit backed up at the moment so it could take 30-40 minutes for your drink" sets the expectation clear from the start. Otherwise, you're like me and you feel stuck: How far are you until your order is coming? Do you leave? What if they're almost done? - The shop is small, so ensuring there's enough space for customers and employees is key, especially in a time of long wait-times. Please encourage customers that after placing their order to please wait outside and wait for a text that the order is ready. Again, that could be through a sign somewhere visible or a quick comment. Currently, the interior experience feels cramped, with people waiting inside to order while others are waiting for their drinks. It leaves no room to keep the space clear for ADA and safety measures.

Yelp
With the sudden influx of matcha spots opening in Berkeley, I had high expectations for Yume Mori Matcha. The place looked very clean, cute and minimalistic upon arrival, and there was no line when we came on a Monday afternoon. Matcha Latte (reduced fat milk, regular sweetness): Opted for a standard matcha latte rather than a double matcha, which I will be trying next time. I personally enjoyed this matcha despite the slightly bitter aftertaste that other reviews mentioned. The only issue I have is that a matcha latte of this size for $7 is personally not worth it... However, I do want to try their Matcha Tiramisu, so will be coming back when I'm in the mood to buy a matcha out. Matcha Ichigo was okay according to my friend, and a bit chunky with the strawberry hits. I'm not a strawberry matcha gal, but this was sweet and not bad. Very pretty! Overall, this is a cute spot for a quick grab n go, if there's no line.
google avatar

Areeta W.

Yelp
New Matcha spot in Berkeley! They hand-whisk everything and use bougie gear to make their matchas; we're talking about the Acaia scales. We only waited 5~ minutes to order on the kiosk and then another 5 minutes to get our drinks. We got the Tiramisu Matcha and Matcha Usucha. The Matcha Usucha is not a latte and more matcha & water but it has a full flavor profile with a sweeter first taste and more bitter aftertaste. The Tiramisu Matcha has a cream top and more on the sweeter side. Get their regular Matcha if you like sweeter and floral!
google avatar

Karen K.

Yelp
My favorite matcha so far in the east bay. Parking sucks but other than that it's worth it. I got the tiramisu latte matcha and it wasn't overly sweet you can taste the freshness of everything in the Matcha is A1! Service was good and fast. The interior and exterior of the place was very cute.
google avatar

Ajay K.

Yelp
You can actually taste the matcha here - unlike some of the other new matcha places in Berkeley- so that's a good sign that they're using high quality powder. However I think they are still lacking some attention to detail. I asked for an unsweetened latte and I got a very very sweet drink. I avoided mixing it so I just drank the matcha part at the top and threw away the rest.
google avatar

Bianca H.

Yelp
This place is so cute! The staff is very nice, helpful, and efficient. The strawberry matcha latte is so creamy and sweet, and is packed with flavor. The matcha latte is a great choice as well. But it was more on the bitter side than I was expecting. Come here quiet often now and might be my new strawberry matcha spot!
google avatar

Alexis M.

Yelp
This place is a must visit! The ambience really reminded me of cafes in Japan, and especially the crepe they serve, I'll definitely have to try it next time! We got there right when they opened, so it wasn't too busy. I opted for the hojicha tiramisu, and it was definitely one of the best hojicha drinks I've tried! The cream top was delicious, can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Marisa C.

Yelp
I went to visit my friend in Berkeley and this was a spot she wanted to try out. Her friends mentioned that their hojicha was better than the matcha, so we got a hojicha latte and the hojicha tiramisu latte. We had really high hopes for this spot, but we were both underwhelmed by both drinks. The hojicha tiramisu was better than the original latte, but both were a little too watered down for our liking. As I drank my drink slowly, I realized at some point that there was a strong aftertaste of something that was unpleasant. Being that it started tasting like tap water straight from the faucet, we assumed it was the ice melting into the drink. The space is small but aesthetic and their staff is super friendly and kind. You do order at a kiosk, which there is only one so be prepared to wait at least 30min if there's a line. We spent the majority of our time waiting in line to order, but we really only waited like 15min because the line hadn't reached outside. And then we did get stuck behind someone who kept asking questions about kiosk system like how it knew their name without them entering it. So, that added a few minutes to our wait. Once we submitted our order, it took about 10min to receive our drinks.
google avatar

Erica T.

Yelp
Here's my new favorite spot for delicious matcha! I originally stopped by craving a dreamy crepe, only to discover they're only available after 1pm on Fridays through Sundays. Excited to try one next Friday at 12:50--see you there!
google avatar

Loriell L.

Yelp
I saw this place on tiktok and thought it would be so good but I left a bit disappointed. I like more sweet matchas but this one was really bitter. Or maybe i'm just not use to better quality matcha? But not what I was expecting. I waited 15 mins to order and another 15 mins for the drink. They were sold out of scones but someone had it in front of me and it looked so delicious so maybe I will go back to try that. If you like stronger matcha this is the place for you!! Also, i thought it was a bit small for the price but very cute shop w nice employees
google avatar

Adrienne H.

Yelp
absolutely amazing! i came to berkeley just for a matcha and it did not disappoint. The aesthetic is so calming and natural vibes. The line was short. While waiting they had samples of the matcha soft serve that was so good. I opted for the tiramisu matcha & added agave pumps. SOOOOO GOOD. the customer service was great as well. The seating is very limited fyi.
google avatar

Felicitas J.

Yelp
Small, cute place order on tablet wait for a text to get your drink. They have 2 types of matcha to choose from first I ever seen that! The matcha was so strong I never had anything like it. I would definitely come back here one of the only places that has good matcha. Only downside is the drinks are so small for the price :/.
google avatar

Iliana M.

Yelp
Nice trendy matcha spot. The matcha had a good taste and I like how you can pick between it being a bit bitter or sweeter. The cream on top was so creamy and paired perfect with the cookie
google avatar

Maggie Y.

Yelp
Long line, but it goes pretty fast and you order at a kiosk! Pretty standard pricing for ceremonial grade matcha-- and I liked that you can choose which matcha flavor profile you'd like. Also really like that you can choose the sugar levels too!
google avatar

Katherine L.

Yelp
Got the regular matcha latte and right upon walking in I felt like there could've been more hospitality as we weren't greeted, ordered on a kiosk, and our number was called then we left. The matcha didn't seem to be sifted or whisked fully because there were clumps of matcha floating around the bottom of my drink. The matcha itself was simple and didn't blow me away. I may say that it was not as flavorful as I am used to. I liked that the sweetness level was on the lower side and they had a pump with more you could add.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Had the Hojicha latte here. Good but kinda pricey for the small cup size. Came on a Saturday and it was pretty busy so expect to wait around 20~ minutes for your drink.
google avatar

Yelp
decent new matcha place worth a visit! the space: this is mostly a grab and go place. there is minimal seating inside and outside. there are no public restrooms. the process: you order from a screen. drinks are $7.75. love that you can select between oat milk or reduced fat milk without an added cost. you can select no sweetener added or yes sweetener, nothing in between. the menu: they only serve matcha and hojicha here. they serve matcha crepes on weekends only from 1 PM until they are sold out. it's a small and simple menu, and each drink is made to order the review: I love the strong matcha and hojicha flavor in the drinks. the tiramisu and matcha foams on top of the drink are suuuper tasty. knocked off one star because the drinks were way too sweet, almost to the point of being undrinkable at certain layers. next time I will opt for no sweetener in the drink
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
The matcha tiramisu was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. And the ambiance was family friendly, clean and peaceful. We went during the weekday, the foot traffic was low and the wait was very short. Received our order in a timely matter. Very pleased with our first visit and will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Another matcha place! Love that there's more matcha popups lately! Was so excited to try it :) I came on a weekday early evening. There was no rush, ordering and waiting took like 10 mins max. Staff was also friendly, and you order through a kiosk. The inside is very cozy and pretty, it's a bit small and is mainly meant for a to-go type of place. I know they are also known for their crepes, but this time I got the matcha tiramisu drink. I loved the biscoff on top and how creamy it was. I do think the size is a bit small for the price ($7-8), and it was a bit heavy/I couldn't taste the matcha very much. Overall, I probably wouldnt order the matcha tiramisu from here but would come back to try the crepes!
google avatar

Kartika H.

Yelp
place is small and design for grab and go. it was packed when i came but then really appreciate if staffs try to work faster instead of talking to each other often. the person who made the crepes was the only staff that consistently working ~ thank you to her. drink was ok but cup was smaller than other matcha latte stores and for that, i will say a bit pricey. crepe was also ok. not that many choices for the menu but if you are a matcha lover, i think should try this place...

Yelp
This is Berkeley's newest matcha shop and they are serving pretty drinks! The store is small but very aesthetic. I personally found their drinks on the lighter side - wished there is stronger matcha/hojicha flavor. Being hand whisked to order, the drinks are very very smooth. However their matcha creme brulee has been on my mind - its creamy, crispy caramelized sugar, and not too sweet. This was a visit on 8/15, cannot wait to come back as I heard theyve adjusted the drinks!

Yelp
I'm so happy they opened this up right by campus! The storefront itself is quite small, not. lot of seating. But it's cute and I loved seeing the workers make each drink. They measure the matcha every time and their drinks are always consistent. I tried the tiramisu matcha and the hojicha ichigo. While the matcha was high quality and very good, I was a little disappointed it didn't taste at all like tiramisu. The hojicha however was fantastic!! I'd definitely come back for it. The drinks are on the pricier side (around $8-9) but I'd definitely still check it out if you haven't yet!
