Yummy House Brockton

I have yet to visit Yummy House in person, so far it's only been UberEats orders. My last takeout was disappointing, I couldn't finish the food. I will order from them every once in a while because my expectations aren't high for this kind of food. I will never get their fries again though, it had no flavor. Extremely unprofessional service. I placed an order and was told it would arrive in 30–40 minutes. Ten minutes later, while I was in the shower, the driver claimed they were outside . No one knocked loud enough to be heard in a busy household. Instead of trying to actually deliver my food, they just left and now say they’ll never deliver to me again. Completely unacceptable. I paid for a service and got nothing in return, and now I can’t order from there for something that wasn’t even my fault. I won’t be ordering from here again and don’t recommend you do either.

Rice was very bland tasted like hospital rice, and the lo-mein was very soggy and tasteless, Chicken teriyaki was very chewy to the point my jaw got tired. If there was duck sauce maybe the rice and lo mein couldve been more tasteful or tolerable. The only good thing I'd say about my order was the beef teriyaki and chicken wings.

I was surprised when I discovered this restaurant specifically the fried plantain and the chicken 🐔 it's really yummy, I recommend this restaurant to everyone, try it and you will abandon all other Chinese food.

At the time of this review, June 2023, Yummy House is takeout / Doordash etc. only. Do not let that discourage you. The food here is great! The meats are well flavored, cooked perfectly, and not dried-out like other places. The vegetables are very flavorful and fresh. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, too. All your favorite dishes are here, and there is a lot of variety to try something new! Really easy to get to with plenty of parking. Definitely try it out!

Don't appreciate being lied to multiple times. Called the store to ask if a dinner came with rice, they said yes. Ordered it. No rice came. I called them back and was informed I should have ordered a combo? Yet theres no option to order that…… from the physical menu it says every dinner comes with rice….its sad these places are so cheap and cut corners.

Yummy house it's not the same anymore they charge you one price one day and they charge you another amount another day the chicken fingers burnt,hard like rock and when you complain about it ,the so called owner don't want to hear about it instead saying I'm sorry let me fix that they say, bring me the food I'll give you the money back, why did I order in the first place, why don't try to do things better they get mad at you . when you order the same thing the next day they tell you they don't make it anymore. But you know what I really hate the most they have some underage girls taking your orders and you have to repeat the same thing for a few times and they don't get it right.overall the food sucks. Go to Chinatown Chinese food the best food in town .....

Not as they used to be. Something has changed at Yummy House. The fried rice is always greasy now I stopped ordering it. Also the general gau's is no longer good. The appetizers are fine but I miss the general gau's chicken and beef fried rice. I hope they read these reviews

Mid, I ordered beef and broccoli and jumbo shrimp for 2. The food was definetly enough for 2-3 people, but I honestly was not wowed with the food at all. Shrimp was way soo greasy and covered with so much batter; and it was not jumbo shrimp it was regular shrimp butterflied. The other entree was fine, rice was mid, beef and broccoli was mid. Probs won't go again but not the worst Chinese I've had. Facility is clean, and staff seem fine.

Delicious and lightening fast! Our go to restaurant when we crave Asian cuisine! Not overly priced, open later than most places nearby and the food tastes freshly made. Service with a smile as well! Our favorite place locally!

The food I received was undercooked. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with the owner. She was extremely rude and was yelling at me for making a complaint. Stay far away from this establishment

I have ordered from this restaurant in the past had no problems. Today, They were still very friendly when I called regarding an error in my order. The matter was fixed in record time and the food was good. It's hard finding decent food in Brockton, this is one that gets my vote.

I called to place my order the supervisor (manager ) was so angry I told her my card # she could heard what I said she started yelling at me and hung up on me.

The Yummy House lives up to their name, they're the real deal. The only caveat is that you might not make it from your parking space to the front door. Multiple bangers, thugs, and parolees either sit in their rides or sketchily wander around the parking lot, so watch your back and your front. Pro Tip-- Have them deliver OR hire John Wick to pick up your food for you.

Salt and pepper shrimp was delicious and big. Made my day! Everything was nicely packaged and delivery person wore a mask.

Don't eat from here 1st of all I found hair in my food after eating most of it. I'm so disgusted. and the food wasn't even good. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

We have ordered from here many times. The problem is they deliver whenever they want: super early, super late... Tonight they delivered an hour earlier than we specifically requested. When the delivery woman came and I inquired with her about being an hour before confirmed delivery time she proceeded to yell at me. She told me she was cancelling my order, had somewhere else to deliver to and that I should call her boss. She left with the food! When I called the restaurant and explained what happened I got yelled at again. "What's the problem I already made your order. I call her and she come back and you take food". Uummm no thanks. So so rude. And really there food isn't anything special anyway. Grub hub didn't seem to care what happened but told me that my order would be refunded and take 3-5 days to go back on my card. Oh and have a nice day!

Great food and great prices. This is the highest quality Chinese I have had in the area. Do not hesitate to come here. Great deals on the lunch specials too they even come with a soda for under 10 bucks. I love this place.

This was the second time we've ordered from Yummy House. Food was fresh, piping hot and so flavorful that I was delighted. Only 4 stars because I couldn't find anywhere on the online menu that labeled items as spicy. I don't mind the spice but I do like to be warned. I will definitely order from them again

As I work for terminix I can testify that this store is clean I don't treat it but I do have a keen visual and smell that I look for before I eat. Also the food tasted great !!!

Ordered a bunch of food online and went there and picked it up they were very pleasant and helpful because I needed to order something extra that I had inot ordered online got the food and took it home it was delicious and still hot. We had a great feast and everyone enjoyed it for the new year thank you.

First time I am disappointed with my food order from yummy house. On my order instruction, I wrote ' no vegetables'. My instruction was ignored. They put vegetables on my shrimp fried rice. They delivered on time. The food was still delicious though I had to remove the vegetables myself. I will give them one more try because of my previous four satisfied orders

Looks like an unremarkable take out joint in a sketchy mini mall. Wrong. Excellent food. Fresh meats and veg, and huge portions. Both the authentic dishes (such as I have tried) and the americanized stuff are great. Well cooked, well seasoned. They use the good stuff. They know what they're doing. Don't miss it.

Standard good Chinese food . Scallion pancakes are delicious , and they have lots of good vegetarian options ! Also, the lo mein is one of the best I've had . All in all, some of the better Chinese on the south shore !

Ive eaten here a few times and have not had a problem. Appetizers and pork fried rice are average. I always get the three appetizers with pfr and a drink for $9, good price.

I got the vegetable delight dinner combo with vegetable fried rice instead of pork fried rice and asked to make sure it's vegetarian. They said they had no appetizers without meat. When I got it it came with a large spring roll, sweet and sour & soy sauce, and a fortune cookie on the side. The container had a huge mountain of vegetable fried rice and a bunch of mixed vegetables; and it could easily feed 2 people because I was stuffed after eating half of it. It was delicious and with the sweet and sour a sauce it was probably the best Chinese food I've ever tasted. It was well worth the $12.

Absolutely delicious! Location is a bit sketchy but otherwise that the food was fresh, tasty and very big portions. Definitely will go back.

We had Chinese food for New Year's Eve and the service was surprisingly quick. The crab rangoon, egg foo young and Peking ravioli were quite good. I didn't care too much for their fried rice - it was kind of dry. It's also located in a not so great neighborhood. Overall, we would probably order from Cao's again and try lo mein instead of fried rice.

Got take out from here when we were passing through the area. Food is not bad but doesn't have much flavor. Sesame chicken tasted weird. General gau's chicken and crab Rangoon weren't bad.

I don't eat here often and I've only ordered delivery, but honestly that's all it took for me to give this 5 stars. Spare ribs with bones in them are rare in this area and this restaurant prepares them very well. The lo mein actually comes with a lot of meat and the noodles actually taste like something. Say what you want about American-Chinese cuisine, but this place pulls it off quite well.

When I go to Chinese restaurant I generally judge them by their fried rice and chicken wings. I have to say this place has the best house fried rice I have ever tasted! Every ingredient in the rice was well season and had its own distinct taste. The fried chicken wings on the other hand tasted good the wings were of okay quality but they were very greasy. They are a naked style wing with no batter of medium size. I will most definitely be ordering from them again what maybe I'll pass on the chicken wings.

Ordered twin lobster scallion and ginger style and glean Rangoon and chicken lomein. All were very good, like really good, was sit down restaurant quality to go. The Crab Rangoon is very good, it's a different mixture than other places and is amazon, possible in house done. Lobster was good, generous on scallions, ginger and onions. Lomein was also very good, only issue was lomein was vegetarian not chicken, but tasted so good I could care less and still give 5 stars. No long wait times even during this pandemic. I recommend this place and you must get the crab Rangoon as it's different and better than any other place I've had.

I've been ordering delivery from Cao's Kitchen since I moved to Brockton two years ago. I started just because it was the closest place, but I love the quality of the food, the consistency, and the value. Delivery is always quick. And a special nod to delivery drivers Ricky and Janie, who are prompt, professional, and incredibly pleasant.

Great value and always delicious fresh and hot when ordering for pick up always on point and accurate with my specifications and and requests.

Waited over an hour and they couldn't even get the order correct still waiting on my 2 liter of Diet Coke will not be ordering again

The owner was very funny,as this being our first time here we was very skeptical. she convinced us that her food was the best in Brockton and she was right!!! I will definitely go back to this restaurant again.

Grossest Chinese food we've ever gotten. My 2 year old will eat anything and wouldn't eat their food. It was like it had been sitting in the fry oil all day and had no flavor to it.

First and last time ordering from there. I ordered sushi (California roll) and it was low quality. I also ordered beef chow mein. I got beef and vegetables with no noodles.... Seriously? Complete disappointment.

Overpaid for a combo plate with slim portions. They forgot my teriyaki, and gave me pork fried rice instead of beef. 1st and last time ordering here. Laziness as they were in a rush to leave on Xmas eve. As for the food, the rice is tasteless and the ribs are mostly fat.

My favorite Chinese takeout - hands down! Always fresh! The batter for chicken fingers is great, the lo mein...YUM! It's making me hungry just typing this. I'm so happy I found Cao's kitchen bc there isn't a lot of other great places in the surrounding area! Keep it up Cao's!!

Dont bother wasting your money. This people just sold me plain white rice, with no taste whatsoever. I didn't realize it until I got home. I called them and a very rude woman picked asking me to bring the food back to them to make. No apologies whatsoever. What a waste of my time and money. Never again..

Wow!! I'm from dallas texas and was visiting for work with my husband. We gave them a shot and the delivery guy was spot on and delivered exactly per my directions. Also they had online ordering thru yelp so that was a plus. But the food tho.... omg!!!! We got the tidbits #1 and the sushi sampler they also threw in a free fried rice too!!! It was so much food and all of it was prepared so beautifully!!! I'm half asian so I'm very particular but the wings were fried to perfection. Their spare ribs were soooo good... in the carton It was like some fried shrimp rings idk but it was all great!! The sushi offerings were a surprise but they did a great job and we loved every piece. If i ever happen across this side of the country again i will make A PILGRIMAGE to Cao's

We had a Groupon for takeout, and decided to use it for some lunch specials. Boy did we get a lot of food! The portions were huge, and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. The noodle soup that comes with the meal tastes homemade and is much better than the watery wonton soups that a lot of other places serve. The boneless spare ribs were meaty and also tasty, and the dishes themselves were a cut above most other Chinese takeout places. The place itself looked clean, and there were a few tables in case you wanted to eat there. But I see it as more of a place to pick up dinner on the way home, and I can definitely see us going back for more!

They got the typical Chinese food tastes down! Best in town. Must order the wings and fingers! Great value and great service. We are returning customers.

Awesome food my work got a big order for our Christmas party and I have eaten there twice myself Not a single complaint great food great service I even cached in on the $50 voucher for 40 dollars that they offered right around christmas time. I definitely recommend this place. Best in brockton in my opinion.

Great food with unique flavors, the sushi and the cooked food taste wonderful, the delivary was a little long but the quality was worth it, only other thing was they had run out of one of the items ,shrimp chips, which I had wanted to try.
