We were excited to find a Hong Kong style restaurant with great reviews so the 3 of us traveled from Brooklyn and 1 from Forest Hills to meet up at 8pm Saturday to give Yummy Noodle House a try. Once we were seated we ordered the HK milk tea, lemon tea, & 2 clay pot rice (pork & salted fish and Chinese sausage) with the female server then asked for a few minutes so we could discuss what other dishes we wanted to try. A few minutes pass and the male server approaches with a bit of an unfriendly demeanor asking if we were ready to order we finalized our selections in front of him while he grimaced - HK pan fried rice roll, HK pan fried noodle w soy, shrimp wonton noodle soup, deep fried fish skin noodle soup, fried chive dumplings, salt & pepper fish, and steamed Shanghai soup dumplings. The drinks and the dishes started to come out relatively quickly considering the house was semi full of patrons 1 hour prior to closing time. HK milk tea was average at best compared to what many HK cafe's in the east coast present as HK milk tea - there was no depth in flavors, not much condense milk flavor, and too bitter. Onto the food - we were really excited also to see they offered HK style clay pot rice which is becoming rarer to find these days. One of our excitements of the dinner to try, yet it was similar to the HK teas - just average at best compared to the others in the NY/NJ area. Lacking favor and quality in the rice base, proteins added to the clay pot were average nothing impressive, and even the flavored soy for the clay pot rice was eh. One of our litmus test items for a HK cafe or restaurant besides the HK Milk Tea is the HK pan fried noodle with soy and Yummy's version isn't exactly authentic in all its ingredients but it was tasty, had some wok hay, and noodles were proper - a decent dish here. The other stardard HK dish we rate a HK eatery on is their HK wonton noodle soup and Yummy's is another eh. The wontons were lacking shrimp and the mostly pork filling was overly salty, the soup base was lacking flavor or that umami/shrimp/seafood flavor, and the noodles weren't exactly amazing being a bit limp as well a bit soft and missing true HK noodles having that "ghan sui" flavor. The pan fried chive dumplings were very decent with flavor, fresh chives, and filled nicely. The salt & pepper fish dish was eh - nothing for us to order again. The Shanghai XLB were eh - another nothing for us to order again. So for the drink and food I would say Yummy is what it claims "HK Style" and not authentic HK food. Portions are decent but if you are looking for authentic HK food and excellent prep/flavors then it's worth a try but it's not the place. Now, the biggest issue we had with Yummy is that at 8:20pm while we were eating and still a few other parties eating - the staff started sweeping all around us, spraying cleaners around us, and the male server asked us if we wanted to order anything else. Then at 8:30pm the male server printed out the checks for all eating patrons and placed checks on everyone's tables without saying anything. Then he proceeded to sit at a empty table across from us playing with his phone while seemingly eyeing us with another staff standing at the rear of the restaurant also eyeing us. We all felt the pressure of the staff wanting us to finish, pay up, and leave yet we were half done with our food. At 8:35pm the female server comes over to ask us if there is anything else we would need and one of us says - oh no but we know you want us to finish up and leave. The server then says - oh no thats not the case. I then ask her what time do you close? She responds with a "ummmm, well the kitchen usually closes at 8:30pm" and I ask her - but your listed closing time is 9pm isn't it? There was no confirm or response. I mean I get it - there are 2 parties left and you want to go home but the whole night we felt some unfriendliness from 1 or 2 of the staff and a lot of pressure from all staff 40 minutes before closing time. This isn't how you should treat customers.

Maybe I wasn't accustomed to authentic Chinese food but there were way too many fatty pieces in my beef noodle soup. Many places in flushing serve much better soup with minimal fat.

Authentic Cantonese dishes. A spot I go to for clay pot rice in Queens. Anything you can name, they got it here, from soup dumplings to congee.

Absolutely DELICIOUS Hong Kong style food. I went with my friends but I need to take the whole family here. Four main dishes and an appetizer amounted to just $18 per person for four people which is insane to me in New York especially. Absolutely a hidden gem!

When you're feeling down or lost or sad, come to this place. It's the perfect place for comfort food and for no-nonsense ordering. My grandma never made me any of the dishes at this restaurant, but if she did, I'd imagine it to taste like this. When I first visited, it was a rainy day and I just got a bunch of work to do because I couldn't speak up for myself and say that I already had a lot on my plate. In my little funk, I went to this place and ordered a bunch of carbs for myself; I think I ordered noodles, you tiao, and dumplings. The dumplings were so good, it's not the thick skin type; the ramen wasn't too spicy and the noodles didn't feel old, they felt fresh. The food wasn't extremely fancy but it was good :)

Edit: wanted to update my review that the beef brisket with curry sauce (C2) is crazy good! Food was fine, never tried hot pot rice before this. It’s cool to see authentic Hong Kong style food in this neighborhood. Interior was comfortable and service was good. To be honest the food was kinda forgettable but I would come back to try other dishes

Google
This is a generous 4 stars. We were very lucky to find street parking right away, and there was no wait on a Sunday lunch hour. The place was full and service also good. Their clay pot rice and the curry beef brisket noodle soup were delicious. However, the beef brisket noodle soup was lacking flavor. The beef could used extra time in the stew longer. The soup dumpling was only warm, and tasted like it’s bought frozen. The rice roll was ok. Overall it’s a ok place for a local HK style restaurant. Only opened about a little over two years. Can avoid the headache going into Flushing or the city. Disclosure: we always have the homemade Taiwanese beef noodle soup at home from the in laws, so we are custom on the heavier flavor with the meat and the soup base.

Google
Very good place for noodle dishes and clay pot rice. The beef in the noodle soup is so tender. The clay pot rice had the nice crispy layer of rice on the bottom! Make sure to eat the fried noodles while they're still hot and fresh because if it sits out too long it won't be the same. Will definitely try their curry dishes next time.

Yelp
Absolutely homey meal. The clay pot rice was a hit and just a great balance of savory and saltyness from the salted fish. The dumplings were generously stuffed with meat and chives. Service was fast and food came out promptly. I would come back to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Yummy Noodle House is a popular Hong Kong style eatery and like HK the city, it has its own style with a mix of local Cantonese and even some Northern Chinese tastes and dishes. HK & Shanghai style dim sum like rolled rice noodles and xiao long bao are menu staples. The bulk of the menu though are noodle dishes, served in soup or HK lo mein style with soup on the side. These come with all combinations of pork & shrimp dumplings & wontons, beef stew and seafood. We always like to start with the steamed rice rolls, drizzled with peanut & hoisin sauce and sesame. Throw in a fresh fried cruller to swish up some of that sauce. The classic Chinatown wonton noodle soup is excellent and I intend to try all the different variations. The House Special Lo Mein is like a deconstructed wonton noodle soup but with the soup on the side and they toss in a soy sauce chicken leg quarter and tea egg for good measure to fill you up. If we're really hangry, we'll get 1 or 2 of the clay pot rice dishes also. The lop may (sausage, bacon & duck ) or spare ribs are really good. Just drizzle the sweet thick soy sauce over the rice and then scrape the crunchy rice off the sides to get all of the flavor. Maybe I'll get a curry dish or congee next time...

Yelp
Hong Kong/Canto cafes are rather rare in this area (let alone the borough of Queens) so when asked to find one, I had little to no hope. Came across Yummy Noodle House, which I vaguely remember being in Flushing, so we decided to give it a whirl. Arrived during the day of New Years Eve and it was packed. Luckily we got to snatch the last table in the front. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious with checker patterned tables stretching out as far to the back. The specials are plastered along the walls and also on the table top; any Hong Kong classic you can think of is probably on the menu. We opted for: BEEF BRISKET LO MEIN: I'm not usually a lo mein fan, but these were an exception. Noodles were bouncy, perfectly cooked and soaked up the sauce so well. The brisket was very tender and almost melted in your mouth. This was served with a broth on the side; I tasted a bit of dried shrimp (maybe scallops?) in it. These components tied the dish altogether so well. CRAB MEAT SOUP DUMPLING: A little pricier than some places, because they come in a set of 6 rather than 8. The meat and filling is rather generous with the crab meat though, so it makes it more worth it. Skin was delicate and held everything together pretty well, but I've had thinner skins. Not the best soup dumplings I've had, but it'll pass LOL. RICE ROLLS: I always order rice rolls without fail and these were phenomenal. Sometimes when the rice flour isn't cooked through enough, it's rather gummy and starchy. I absolutely hate the taste of undercooked rice rolls, but these were steamed perfectly. The sauce drizzled on top was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Sesame seeds was the cherry on top. HONG KONG STYLED MILK TEA: Rich and creamy as a milk tea should be. Had no complaints about this. This stuff is legit! LOL They're currently offering a gratitude special where they're discounting 5% off your bill if you pay with cash. I thought it was a little pricey for what it is, but this spot definitely hits the mark if you're ever craving this kind of food in Queens.

Yelp
I come here for their takeout maybe once a month and they have a large selection of food and not once has the takeout been bad. Good drink selection. Food always made fresh. Great takeout spot for those house gathering. Pretty standard food and for the price it great for the area.

Yelp
Walking by and had a craving for beef brisket and shrimp wontons. Decided to splurge and get a few dishes so I can have it for dinner as well. Luckily there was a table free, because it's usually packed during lunchtime on the weekends. Each dish was so tasty. Had the pork chive dumplings, shrimp dumpling soup and the beef brisket lo mein. Yew, I could've gotten the combo lo mein but then I would only have 2 dumplings. Place was clean and not loud. The staff came around to fill your tea glass which was nice on a chilly day.

Yelp
I rarely have meals outside where I'm left feeling happier than when I walked in. What a hidden gem of a place. We ordered the pan fried noodles with beef on a whim. I wasn't sure what to expect, but wow was I blown away. It was soooo good. The noodles were super crispy, they were generous with the beef & it was very tender, and the gravy pulled it all together. Truly one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. We also got the clay pot rice with Chinese sausage. not many places do clay pot rice so was definitely excited to find it here. The portion of rice is huge and the crust of the rice (iykyk) gets so crispy and comes out in one piece. Comfort food staple. This is definitely going to be my go to spot for Cantonese comfort food. My only wish is for them to expand their menu to include more Hong Kong style Café items! Looking forward to trying their other items in the meantime.

Yelp
Black Sesame Paste Hot- very good not many place make this right . Shrimp Wonton, Shrimp Dumpling, Cilantro and Preserved Egg Dumpling Soup- shrimp wonton is good, shrimp dumpling is alright , Preserved Egg Dumpling - okay, but won't recommend this one unless you're looking to try preserved egg .. the soup base isn't great . Chinese Broccoli with Oyster Sauce- this is easy dish . It's good as it is . Chicken Noodle Soup- definitely love how they make the chicken and noodle is decent . Soup base is alright . Also ordered two sodas Total for this $44.97 without tip Definitely recommend to come try .

Yelp
Upset that I didn't come here sooner since it's so close to me! This place truly reminds me of what Hong Kong and Cantonese food should be like. It also felt a lot cleaner than what I'm normally used to when I eat Chinese. To order, we chose a lot of the classics - peanut sauce rice rolls, curry beef brisket over rice, clay pot rice with spare ribs and the wonton noodle soup. All were AMAZING! The portions were very generous and we had to take it to go but boy did I stuff myself. My favorite of the night was probably the rice rolls or the curry beef brisket. The brisket was fall apart tender and the curry had a great balance of coconut and heat. I also really enjoyed the clay pot rice but I do not recommend getting the spare ribs if you don't want to deal with bones. Also, please do yourself a favor and get the half milk tea half coffee because they do it super well. All of the staff seemed to be working so hard because we were served very efficiently without feeling that urgency that a lot of Chinese restaurants give. Service was poppin which made me feel happy for a tinier business like this. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Very authentic and tasty Hong Kong style eatery open 7 days a week with attentive service staff. All dishes from appetizers to noodles and even their clay pot rice are all served hot and fresh. Two minor details, withholding this restaurant from a five star review, first is the tableware being fairly worn out and chipped and they need to turn up the heat. I witnessed other patrons still wearing their jackets while dining and I had my scarf on. Overall above average and will be back soon.

Yelp
If you dont want to deal with the crowd and congestion in dt flushing and craving for some decent HK food .

Yelp
I like the deep fry chicken thigh and chicken casserole the most. Very traditional and local Hong Kong style food. Definitely will come back and try other dishes again. Rate 4 stars since I'm satisfied with all dishes but no such a dish surprised me.

Yelp
Always a hit when craving canto style menu food. We ordered the fried pork chive dumplings, small wonton noodle, and a hot fish clay pot rice. Sooooo yummy, simple dishes but packed with flavor. Love dining here for the nice service and easy parking but it can get busy during all hours - even 3pm on a weekend for late lunch.

Yelp
We did not have a good experience here. Maybe we are not accustomed to the Hong Kong style of cooking, but it was nothing like the soup dumplings and other mainstays we were used to. I won't be returning.

Yelp
I used to love coming here with my family and even ordering take out during the pandemic because the food was good and service was great and we wanted to support the small business. Unfortunately the service was horrible the last time I went. Came on a cold night with my family (2 young kids and husband) for dinner. The young man with glasses who has worked there for years asked us how many people and we told him 4. He told us to sit right next to the entrance door meanwhile their were tables in the back. We said no because it's too cold when people open the door and didn't want my kids to sit there. He rolled his eyes and walked away. An older man with glasses comes and asked us how many in our party and we said 4. He also told us to sit in the front next to the door and we said no and told him why and asked to sit in the table in the back. He gave us attitude and basically yelled at us in Cantonese to wait. That left us speechless and we walked right out of there asap. If they were going to be disrespectful then that's the last of the business we will ever give them.

Yelp
Yummy Noodle House is one of my favorite restaurants at the moment because it is situated not too far from Long Island, with fast (and I mean fast) service and a great selection of HK-style, Cantonese dishes. It is never empty in there, and despite it being a small space, we've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. Some of our go-to items are rice noodle (cheung fun), curry fish balls, beef tendon appetizer, stir fried beef with flat noodles, wonton noodle soup, soup dumplings, fried mantao and HK style milk tea. Everything is always delicious and we have not had any complaints ... maybe besides their red checkered tablecloths
google avatar

Yelp
I am pleased to say that Yummy Noodle House is a staple in my rotation of restaurants. I've been back several times and it always hits the spot. I am a big fan of the congees here, especially the Preserved Egg and Pork Congee and Fish with pork congee. The Beef Brisket Curry bread bowl is also top notch. The flavors are rich and intense. I've also tried their Beef Chow Fun and Chinese Sausage & spare ribs Clay Pot Rice, which were amazing as well. My only complaint is that the prices are higher than Flushing, but the convenience makes it worthwhile. I'll definitely be returning whenever I am craving classic Hong Kong cuisine.

Yelp
I am just extremely disappointed with my most experience at Yummy Noodle House. The food overall was fine. The soup dumpling was good as usual, the shrimp wonton noodle soup tasted authentic but the beef chow fun was a little bland and lacking. Overall experience would've been a solid 3 star or maybe 4. Then came the end. A worker from the kitchen has decided that it's a good idea to dispose of garbage when the dining room was full. 3 bins full of garbage while people were still eating! Seriously YNH....WTH!. I wasn't truly happy with the food but now I have the smell or garbage in my nose and in my mouth. I told the waitress this and all she said was "I'm sorry" and I assumed she would tell the guy to stop. Nope...more garbage came out. I don't understand how common sense isn't used. If they are this negligent with garbage disposal...who knows what other unsanitary practices are there. Yummy Noodle House is a local spot and I want to support them, but they increasingly make it difficult to do so with the crap they pull. Never ever will I come back here and whoever is reading this, I would suggest the same. Food may taste fine but you don't know what they do behind closed doors if they're brazen enough to drag disgusting trash through the dining area full of patrons.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place cause of its good reviews to make the drive out to bayside with the family. Food overall was mid to be honest but the price was decent for all of the items we ordered. We did enjoy the crab soup dumplings, flavorful and a good soft skin ratio to meat though they came out not piping hot. They did a nice job getting the rice crispy on all pot corners yet left quite a few feathers behind on the smoked duck skin.. congee and fish cake noodle soup (not pictured) were under flavored. Service was quite slow also

Yelp
April 2023, very disappointed in service and food this visit. I've been coming here for years and this was the first time the food was "meh". The wait staff seems to have changed, definitely not as friendly as before. We ordered the bitter melon and spare ribs with black bean sauce over rice. The bitter melon was not soft and the spare ribs were definitely too chewy. Both needed to be cooked just a bit longer. The fried pork dumplings with chives were good, nice sear and crisp. The sauteed liver appetizer was underwhelming, not enough seasoning and lacked flavor. It tasted like it should've been rinsed more, very gamey. The beef pan fried noodle was okay, skimpy on the beef but overall a passable texture on the noodles. I normally like it crunchier and more sauce but that's my personal taste. Lastly the beef brisket and tendon noodle soup was meh. Tendon was perfectly cooked and the brisket had good flavor but the soup was lacking in flavor. It needed some greens as well - scallions, parsley or cilantro could've helped. Noticeably absent was the one or two sprigs of Chinese broccoli. Then when it came to cleaning up our table, the waiter spilled the soup on my friend, didn't even apologize as he went around her to get a better grip on the Noodle soup bowl. He attempted to clean the wall but still left a drippy soupy mess. Worst part, besides NOT apologizing, when he returned to give us the check, he commented that we should not have put the finished bowl on the inside of the table/next to the wall. WE should've moved it into the center of the table or the outside where he can grab it. THEN HE SHOULD HAVE ASKED US TO instead of attempting to grab it and spill it. HIS INCOMPETENCE not ours. Rude!!!

Yelp
I've returned to this establishment after our initial review. Wait staff has changed and improved drastically. This place treats customers well and we've returned many times. Food has always been great. Yummy Noodles has the best soup dumplings in the area as it's made on-premise. Their wonton and other soup dumplings are made on-premise and are the best in Queens. The soup base for noodles is excellent too. Both wontons and soup are available for takeout too. If you like congee, they're a solid choice as well. Lastly, their Hong Kong-style drinks are authentic and amazing!!

Yelp
Came here for dinner around 5pm. There was no wait. This is a casual local restaurant. Great for a nice Cantonese meal with the family! Very authentic food. Everything was great. There's not too many of these Cantonese restaurants around serving the nostalgic dishes we grew up with!

Yelp
TLDR: Seems like a great community/family resturaunt. Will come back for the claypot rice! Went for an earlier dinner on a friday night and there was no wait. It was my first time here and I super happy to see so many families & elder couples there - i feel like thats the mark of good food. Ordered tbe steamed rice rolls- my friend said it was some of the best shes had, even bettee than fu yuan! I liked them too, not dense, and was super soft (but i still love fu yuan). I originally wasnt planning on getting the curry bun but it was recommended by our waitress and it did not disappoint. The bread itself was kind of brioche-y and was a little sweet & lightly toasted. It was very reminiscent of roti canai almost! The curry was soooooo good. Very flavorful & thick so the bread doesnt get soggy and just clings to the bread. For non veggie eaters this might be good too because the only thing in the curry was chicken (very moist) and friend potato chunks. The spare rib claypot rice was the real reason i went! There is some sweet soysauce at the table to season the rice and there was a light thin layer of scorched rice. Was soo delish and at only ~$16 will go back for it! My only mistake was that we didnt mix it soon enough so the rice got a little dense but that was my bad! I think our least favorite of the night waa the beef noodle w/ tendon and even then it was a good noodle dish! It was super flavorful but i wasnt the biggest fan of the noodle texture. They use the same noodles that you use in wanton noodle soup where its thin and springy(?) so it doesnt really absorb the soup taste.

Yelp
Great place for good HK food! There's a large selection to choose from and all of them are delicious. The group favorites were the curry fishballs, HK rice noodles, wonton noodle soup, and clay pot rice. We came on a Saturday during lunch and it was packed! Waited about 20 minutes to get seated but it wasn't too bad. Service was quick and attentive and the overall experience was great!

Yelp
An authentic Cantonese restaurant serving classic Cantonese comfort food - congee, noodle soup, clay pot rice etc. The restaurant walls are decorated with large blackboards with hand drawn cartoons. They were always busy but the wait was bearable. The Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Everything we ordered was amazing and tasty. will definitely recommend it to others. "Things" we ordered: Deep fried fish skins Fried pork dumplings You choy with oyster sauce Curry bun (beef) Chinese sausage clay pot rice Assorted wonton/dumplings soup

Demise S.

Yelp
Based on other reviews, we ordered soup dumplings to start. Although they were tasty dumplings, they definitely were NOT soup dumplings. A disappointment. I had noodles with mushrooms and vegetables. The mushrooms were large, whole and tough. The bok choy was delicious. The noodles had a strange aftertaste for my American tastebuds. I would not order that plate again. One of my companions had the combination beef with noodles - another disaster for our American palates. Obvious stomach like pieces with pieces of fat, and a few pieces of what looked like overboiled beef. Another had the curry in a breadbowl. The curry was mild, but he said the meat was a strange texture. This may all be authentic food, but it was just a little too odd for our palates. We will not return.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Cantonese food. Staff was very friendly. We had the soup dumplings, the Hong Kong milk tea was delicious.

Yelp
Great Canton/HK style food. The place was larger than the pictures portrayed. I went with my family for my wife's birthday dinner. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and dishes including a clay pot Chicken. The food was worth the trip and they even played 80's Cantonese music which brought back a lot of memories.

Yelp
Definitely a great place for authentic Cantonese food! (Don't need to fly ro HK). Must try the dry fish skin, congee, milk tea , wonton noodles. Rice in hotpot ...curry.. oh well everything on menu are awesome actually just get all. Haven't had this quality Cantonese food for decades! Pay cash for 5% off, only one bathroom so fight for it if you come from long distance. Clean restaurant clean bathroom, nice service.

Yelp
Our friend selected this place to meet, eat and catch up. I was really excited about it too and the vibe in this place on a Sunday was kicking as it was pretty crowded and lively. Luckily we didn't have to wait as our meeting point was at 12pm but shortly after a queue of people had to wait for a table. As for service, I liked it. Our waiter was very attentive and fast. They also constantly came by to fill up our tea so that was a plus. As for food, I thought it was okay. Hence the three stars. For some reason, something was lacking and I felt our meal was filling but it didn't really hit the spot for me. The scallion pancake was really small and it was not fluffy. As for the soup dumping, the meat was a bit mealy. Also for our clay pot rice, I was hoping for more of a golden brown crispy rice on the bottle but that didn't really happen. Overall, would I discourage you not to come here. Absolutely not. Taste is subjective so you might like it.

Yelp
I would not recommend this restaurant at all. We ordered the beef curry and shrimp and egg over rice. The beef curry everyone recommends was not good at all. It made me feel sick after eating a quarter of the dish - I could not finish it. The shrimp and egg was also extremely disappointing. The majority of the dish was rice with minimal portion of the entree. I'm so upset about this meal and can't believe I paid money to feel this miserable. Service wise, we were extremely rushed by the staff. I would opt for another restaurant if you're looking for somewhere to eat.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday evening. We are seated right away. Meter and residential parking. We ordered pan fried dumplings, wonton noodles, beef stew with tendons, chicken pot rice, curry pork rind with squid and rice with tofu and fish. All are flavorful. Good customer service. Normal serving time.

Yelp
This place was not our usual place of visit but I found it on yelp and decided to come for a try. We love it, many varieties to pick from and food is delicious. They have good curry and good soup dumplings

Yelp
The skinny: Solid authentic HK food - some of the best in New York! The food: If you're looking for authentic HK dishes - and a large variety of it - look no further. Yummy Noodle House is one of my favorite places I've been for chinese food in New York. We couldn't stop ourselves from order a large variety. Some favorites: A surprise favorite from the group was the Curry fried tofu - a perfect balance of flavorful curry with tofu that still somehow seemed crispy even though it was drenched in the sauce. Wontons were juicy, the congee was super smooth, and the fried fish skin was delightfully crispy. Everything we got was extremely flavorful and brought me right back to HK - and great portions! Would I come back: The next time I come back to NY I will definitely hit this place back up! Great food.

Yelp
This is my kind of comfort food. Comfort food is what I grew up with, what my mom/dad made for dinner, what I fall back on when you need a reminder of where your from, where you will always be, brings you back to a time when life was simple and the food was great! Yummy excels at bringing back those memories with my favorites. This stuff stick to your guts, perhaps a little greasy, rice dishes like one pot casseroles with simple ingredients, topped with Chinese sausage, chicken, pork with salty fish, or pork ribs are excellent. For those of you that love crunchy rice, eat in to savor the crusty bottom. It's never the same with takeout as the dish is scooped out into a styrofoam and it steams the rice. These casseroles contain simple list ingredients, just letting the flavor come through on it own, is just like being in your mom's kitchen. The tender beef stews is another dish just like home. So tender and filling, get these with noodles or over rice, no loss either way. There is a Coconut Curry version as well although I tend to stick to the basic. A word of warning, Yummy may not be the best if your on health food kick but, it sure brings back good times, each and every time.

Yelp
The food here is home cook comfort food style. Very tasty and the food come out really quick. The restaurant is small but cozy, the waiter and waitress are quick and attentive. Really enjoyed the soup dumplings and the various meat Clay Pots.

Yelp
Came across this while looking for some noodle soup in the area. They had a large menu with a lot choices. I ordered the beef tender noodle soup. The broth had flavor and the meet was nice and soft. I also had the scallion pancakes which were light and fluffy. Nice spot with good prices.

Yelp
I went here with my husband and his family. My husband found this restaurant on Yelp and being that I am a ramen lover figured this would be great! The atmosphere was small and comfortable. The service was great - I was just super indecisive on what I should I order as there were not many options for someone who is a pescatarian or just wants seafood. We ordered soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings for the table which were very delicious. My husband's father ordered the beef noodle soup, his friend ordered a curry dish, my husband got the shrimp wonton noodle soup, and I ended up ordering the Heaven Ramen (one of the only seafood dishes with a variety of seafood options). It was very good! We love to support small businesses and restaurants so we really recommend this spot.

Yelp
The food is authentic Cantonese style cuisine. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Portions were big as well! The clay pot rice was the best especially with the crispy rice at the bottom. Service was fast, the tables were clean, food came out very fast.

Yelp
We agree, Yummy! Celebrating their 2nd anniversary on Francis Lewis Blvd, Yummy noodle is a quality local option when we are craving dumplings, noodles and comfort. They use a beautiful, piping hot light broth as their base and fill it up with a variety of noodle options and meats. Take out orders are packed smartly. We phoned in our order and found the staff very attentive, friendly and professional. They're busy on weekends, so if you don't want a tight crowd or have much time, visit early in the week when the crowd is light and they can give you full attention.

Yelp
With Covid seemingly shifting to endemic from pandemic status it was great to come into this spot seeing it packed with happy Asian faces. This was the first time I had to wait for a table in over 2 years and that 5 minute wait made me feel a bit closer to getting back to normal. It was certainly worth the wait when we got our food. We started with a couple of excellent coffee milk teas that had perfect flavor and were not too sweet. The large seemed almost too large but yet I managed to finish it all. Out first was some impressive looking You Choy with oyster sauce. I love how it was cut to equal size with the stalks stacked perfectly on a bed of the leafy greens - it was the ideal size to pick up with chopsticks and it tastes so fresh and delicious. My lo mein is out first and I was giddy to see glistening hunks of beef tendon along with nice looking shrimp wontons on bed of thin noodles and a ring of even more you choy (never enough!). Truth be told, this does not beat my NYC favorite Maxi Noodle with their golf ball sized shrimp wonton, but it was excellent nonetheless. Also YNH has it over on Maxi's with a beautiful sit down interior. The clay pot rice with Chinese sausage was all sorts of crispy decadence - adding plenty of hot pot soy sauce made this dish even more flavor and comforting. The service was very attentive with servers standing in the back of the room seemingly waiting for dinners to signal for them - really the perfect level of not being too obtrusive but there when you need them. Yummy Noodle House is certainly a go to when I need some Canto/Hong Kong Style Cafe type eats.

Yelp
BOOKMARK THIS SPOT RN IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC & DELICIOUS CANTONESE FOOD literally all of my family members have been to this spot and they all LOVE it. so i had to try it out as well! we went for my birthday dinner and i was skeptical about having chinese food to celebrate, but i'm so glad we did. i came on a sunday night with a party of 5 total (me, my boyfriend, my parents, my grandma) and we ordered a lot. the servers speak both cantonese and english. i'm not sure about mandarin since we speak cantonese and i only overheard cantonese throughout the whole restaurant. there were maybe 4 or 5 other parties dining at the same time as us. they provide 5% discount if you pay with cash. the menu items may seem a bit pricey for cantonese food, and to that i'll say sure, maybe it's a bit pricier than what you'd get in flushing. but the portion sizes and the flavors were so good that i think the price is 100% worth it. here's everything we ordered: - sampan congee: i couldn't believe that congee could be one of my favorite items of the night, but it was deeeeelicious. seasoned really well and they are relatively generous with the amount of toppings/meat they provide. comes out piping out and warmed us right up. - chicken casserole: not my favorite dish ever since i'm not a big fan of liver. this dish came out HOT and you could hear the sizzle. this dish is one of my parents' favorites. i tried a little bit and i'll say that the flavor was good but i wouldn't order it again since, once again, i don't like liver. - beef brisket with curry sauce: LIFE CHANGING. omgosh. just get it. trust me. you can order this with bread as well to soak up all that curry goodness. we ordered white rice to go with it though which also worked really well. the beef was super tender and the curry was extremely flavorful. - chinese sausage hot pot rice: this is hong kong clay pot style rice done right. comes out sizzling hot with some soy sauce on the side for you to add the right amount of umami flavor to. make sure to mix well to fully incorporate the soy sauce flavor and eat while hot. you won't regret it. lots of fatty sausage bits too. reminded my parents of home back in hong kong. - shrimp wonton in soup: my mom's favorite wonton in all of NYC. they're just the right size with a sizable amount of shrimp in each one. clean and pure flavor. i would get this with the noodles next time. SO GOOD.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday when it opened and wow this place filled up! The food here is exactly in the name of their restaurant... it was yummy! We got bunch of stuff to split between four friends and things that stood out for me were the braised beef brisket and tendon, pan fried noodles with beef, and Chinese sausage clay pot rice! The steamed rice rolls were good but overpriced for what it is. The soup dumplings were mediocre and I did not like the curry in the curry fish balls but besides that, I enjoyed everything else. Oh and the honey lemon iced tea was delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
We came on a Saturday for lunch and it was packed and busy. We waited for about ten minutes and was seated quickly. The inside is cute with drawing doodles on the walls. We ordered the Braised Beef Brisket Beef Tendon Noodle Soup and Chinese Sausage Hot pot rice. The beef noodle tasted too fishy to me but the sausage hot pot rice was delicious. The waiters told us to put some soy sauce on the rice to give it more flavor. Also, leave the bottom of the rice so that it could turn into crispy rice. A great cantonese restaurant with affordable prices!

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood joint serving Cantonese comfort food. The prices are affordable and it's a great place to go for a casual, quick meal or take-out. They can get busy during certain time periods, such as lunch or early dinner during the weekends, so there can be a wait. Without fail, I always order their congee, wonton noodle soup, and their pan fried dumplings with milk tea. I love it and at least once a month, I crave it. That said, I've seen some negative reviews and I do understand. This place is what it is - it's a neighborhood joint, and basically a Cantonese-style diner. The food isn't going to blow your mind. It's simple comfort food that is affordable, delicious and easy . Especially if you grew up in a Cantonese household, there's a certain nostalgia to eating this type of food and it just...hits the spot.

Yelp
I don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet. I've been here plenty of times and have always enjoyed my meals here. As the name of the restaurant says "Yummy tummy" The food is just not yummy in your tummy, but it also puts a big smile on your face. Hong Kong style dishes from classic Beef chow, Singapore mei fun, rice casseroles, velvety smooth rice congee and Hong Kong milk tea that taste just like the cup you had in Hong Kong. Credit cards are accepted, but if you pay in cash you get 10% off the entire check. If you call for takeout let them know if you decide to pay in cash so they can give you the 10% off discount when you pick up. There is no private parking lot and meter street parking is available. Give this place a try, you can thank me later.

Yelp
My friend said it's mostly Cantonese style food. Congee was very good and seasoned well. I'll have to try other meats. We tried the advertised curry bun which you can have served in the bun as pictured or on the side and they cut up the bun for you. My friend said it was spicy but it was medium at most towards the end if you ate a lot of soup. Not sure what kind of bun they use but it is a bit yellowish inside. The chicken had too much excess fat which needed to be trimmed. Soup dumplings were good and came with 6 but it was a bit salty. 25% less salt would be perfect. Also the top cap had a lot of dough like they had extra so squished it together which made the dumpling very uneven compared to the rest of the skin around the dumpling. Beef with wide noodles were good especially since the beef was tender. The menu is big so will come back to try other dishes.
