Google
I recently tried Yummy Spicy and overall, it was just an okay experience. The dishes definitely lived up to the restaurant’s name—lots of chili peppers and bold flavors. The dry-fried chicken with chili peppers looked amazing and had a nice crunch, but it was overwhelmingly spicy, almost to the point of masking the actual taste of the chicken. The stir-fried cabbage in the hot pot was simple and decent, though nothing special. The clams in chili oil were flavorful, but the sauce leaned a bit too salty and oily for my liking. Service was average, not particularly attentive, and the food presentation was rustic rather than refined. Portion sizes were generous, so it’s good for sharing with a group. If you really love spicy food and don’t mind extra oil, you’ll probably enjoy this place more 🤷🏻‍♀️

Google
Absolutely blown away by Yummy Spicy! We ordered 11 dishes, and every single one was packed with flavor and authenticity. As someone dining with a group of Chinese friends—all from different regions of mainland China—they all agreed: this is the real deal. The taste brought back memories of home for many of us. From the bold spices to the perfectly balanced textures, every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and truly authentic. It’s rare to find Chinese food this genuine and delicious outside of China. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Chinese cuisine—we’ll definitely be back!

Google
Amazing menu, 28 pages long! Nice atmosphere, okay service although they don't understand the concept of an appetizer being ordered first, and should arrive before the entree. We ordered the app, then took time deciding on dinner and it all came at the same time. They forgot to bring the rice with the food but eventually brought it. Food was tasty, correct size proportion, good quality. Good place to eat, with average service.

Google
My acupuncturist recommended I try this place. Food was great, best Sichuan Shrimp and Hot & Sour Soup I have ever had, anywhere. They have a crazy menu. You have a snakehead in your food, for an example. They have crawfish and a bunch of other things you dont normally see in US Chinese restaurants. They appear to have a solid lunch special menu, and a bunch of interesting sweet sugary beverages, aka "Tea's". 🤠 I plan to return and explore their adventuresome menu!

Google
The spicy fragrant lamb was a showstopper and lived up to its name. The salt & pepper frog legs were decent but could use a bit more flavor. Stir fried eggplants were great.

Google
The food was amazing came here on a date I ordered the spicy beef sirloin noodles and they were delicious well seasoned and the spices definitely cleared my sinuses! Also ordered the cauliflower as well as the eggplant dish for no meat options. Both veggie options were Amazing but the cauliflower was just over the top great. The eggplant is a little more on the sweet side while the cauliflower is a little more savory, both were spicy but enjoyable.

Google
The dry pots are amazing! Very yummy and authentic Sichuan and Hunan dishes, one of the absolute best in the metro and on par with what you’d find in cities like LA and NY that typically have a lot more authentic Asian and Chinese restaurants. An excellent, no frills spot for really good Chinese food, especially if you like spicy food and some of their dishes are hard to find elsewhere. The menu is huge and I’ve liked everything we ordered here in the many visits over the last year.

Google
Delicious authentic Chinese food that includes dry pot and hot pot. If you love spicy food then this place is for you. Their mapo tofu with ground pork is super delicious with right amount of heat and numbing sichuan peppercorn. Yum! It’s me and my son’s favorite. Spicy fragrant lamb was delicious as well.

Yelp
This is the one! We ordered 5 dishes and all of them were tasty and authentic Chinese flavor - hope they can keep up this standard! Will definitely visit again

Yelp
I came for lunch and was amazed with their lunch specials. Ten dollars on Monday Wednesday and Friday and it's a great portion with lots of options. The parking lot is a little funny but has spots. When you walk in it's a little dark inside. The staff was quick and friendly and the food came very fast as well.

Yelp
I still love this place and it's still just as delicious! Refer to my older review and copy/paste into this one too. We haven't had one meh dish during any of our visits, everything is always well made and the service is always great.

Yelp
If you love spicy food, this is your place! Everything we order is very flavorful, fresh and of course spicy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Interior is spacious and clean. Good spot to chitchat with friends while having some good food!

Yelp
I went around 7:30 pm on a Sunday night with two friends. It was pretty busy but I got seated right away. The service was pretty slow but to be fair and to reiterate, they were pretty busy. I only tried a few items and some were good and some were just okay. Nothing was terrible though. Here's my review of each of the items that I got. Bamboo fish: The breading was thin which I liked. The fish was well seasoned and cooked. However there were way more pepper flakes in the dish than there was actual fish. I'm not sure what kind of fish this was or where the bamboo part comes in, but the dish was just breaded fish and pepper flakes. Not sure if I would get it again though. Sizzling black pepper beef/Hotplate beef: The flavor of this was really good. However the texture of the meat reminds me of textured soy protein and not so much actual beef. I would get this again though. Shrimp: The shrimp I got was just called shrimp in the seafood section of the menu. The shell was still on which gave it a good crunch and the flavor was really good. However it was a little greasy and oily for my taste. Eggplant: The eggplant was the best item I got. No complaints. I would come back just for the eggplant alone. This was just called eggplant under the vegetables section. It was a little loud in the restaurant but that's expected when it's so busy. The restaurant was extremely dark and dim inside. When I left the restaurant at about 9 the outside was darker than inside the restaurant.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite Szechuan restaurant in Atlanta. (And I have eaten at a lot of them.) The Cumin Beef is out of this world. I dream about it. The restaurant is often crowed, but the team of servers always make sure you have what you need. The ambiance is pretty basic, but cute and cozy. But here it is all about the food--a lot of it piled with dry-fried Szechuan peppers. If you love spicy Chinese food, head out Buford Highway. It's worth the drive.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in old Taco Bell. The inside features some neat art although near the bar it was a complete mess of to go containers and surplus. The food was fantastic. The hot and sour soup was nice and peppery. It also was hearty with vegetables and egg. The other apps of dry green beans and crab Rangoon were equally delicious. I was kind of surprised of the price difference f the Rangoon when you only get 4. Their container of hot chili oil was VERY spicy! I enjoyed it but consider yourself warned. My entree of noodles was filling and well seasoned The vegetables were a perfect mix of el dente. I had a lot of leftover food and tasted great the next day too. The service was a little distant. It wasn't busy and we were getting overlooked for water refills and just checking in. I would still recommend coming in and giving this place a shot or two.

Yelp
My parents love this place! We come here often when they are in town. We ordered the following dishes: 1. Dan Dan Noodles w/ Pork 2. Pork Intestines w/ Green Chili 3. Cumin Lamb 4. Mapo Tofu w/ Pork 5. Dry Fried String Beans w/ Pork 6. Dry Fried Eggplants Each dish was fantastic. The Cumin Lamb was my favorite and a must order! The lamb is fried to a perfect crisp and comes with fresh onions, scallions, celery, and red bell peppers. Each bite bursts with flavor! Additionally, if you're a fan of pork intestines (which can be an acquired taste), the Pork Intestines w/ Green Chili is well-prepared and a good choice! The food and service is consistently immaculate. Highly recommend!

Yelp
it was average this time. they were busy, took a while to get waters and our order, the spicy chicken was more batter than chicken, no great but the lamb and lo mein were good! they were running out of mochi (they didn't know what they had really) and the taro boba tea was good but i've had been. i would say it's average this time. everyone is nice, smells great etc but overall, less impressed than last time

Yelp
My cousins and I got here at around 7:30 and were surprised to see it was packed forgetting it's a Friday night after all. The wait was about 10 minutes to get seated. We ordered drinks and went ahead and put in our food as well. We didn't wait long for the food to come out either. We ordered 5 dishes, sizzling black pepper beef, Mapo tofu, Bok Choy with mushrooms, veggie fried rice and Kung pao chicken. They were all delicious and would definitely recommend! My fave was the hot green tea it came in the prettiest kettle I've seen. The service was great, they were attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Wow! Amazingly good food! We had double cooked pork (with tasty leeks!) and black pepper beef. Both were wonderful and they work so well together. Service was polite and prompt. The restaurant is small but very clean. We will definitely return. So much more to try on the menu!

Yelp
Probably closer to a 4.5! Came here for lunch with my parents and had a lovely time. We ordered three lunch specials (twice-cooked pork, shredded pork with chili pepper, seafood hot pot) and one non-lunch special (combination hot pot, $19.95), all to share. The lunch specials are ~$10.95 and come with spring rolls, rice, soup (egg drop or hot/sour), and the entree, which is a great deal for the amount of food you get. It's worth noting that the hot pots aren't dry hot pot, as the menu photos suggest -- they come with a kind of oily broth -- but they're pretty delicious nonetheless. The twice-cooked pork was especially well done, and that's according to my Sichuanese mother. The restaurant was completely empty when we went for lunch, with the exception of some people coming to get take-out, which I attribute to the weirdly angled parking situation and somewhat hard-to-find location. Don't let that discourage you from trying this place out!

Yelp
Our Lund at Yummy Spicy was very good. The place was very busy. The interior was plain but the lunch tasty. We want to go again and try a few other things. This place looks like it might be a hidden gem!

Yelp
This is one of our go to spots for Sichuan food. We dined with two newbies to the cuisine tonight and here's a run down of how it went: Ambience: consensus was that the decor is not anything one would come back for... Service: it was ok despite being a packed Saturday night. Every table was full. Surprisingly, our food arrived fairly quickly and they kept our tea pot refilled. What we ordered: Starters: Hot and Numbing Chicken - Everyone agreed the chicken was tender and even though our friends weren't veterans of the spicy numbing peppers, they both loved the spice level. Sliced Potato - these were also very well received. Not too vinegary or sweet. Tofu and vegetable soup - this was my first time ordering this dish. It had Small cubed silky tofu with spinach and seaweed in a clear, lightly thickened corn starch) broth. The sou had the right Level of umami without the MSG. My heart usually races if there is too much MSG and since I felt fine after the meal, I assuming that they used very little MSG and mostly real stock in this soup. Main dishes: Bamboo Fish - the fish was a little bland but the batter and spices were spot on. Spicy Fragrant Lamb - wish the lamb pieces were a little larger but the flavor was spot on. We asked for the lowest spice level and our non-spice eating friends were able to enjoy the dish albeit with the help of tea and rice to neutralize the heat! Dry fried Eggplant: this is one of my favorite dishes. They get the right crispiness without the grease. These are also not overly salted like some other restaurants. Overall, a successful night out and for my friends, a very positive intro to sichuan cuisine. They were also pleasantly surprised by the total check. I looking forward to coming back for more family style meals.

Yelp
Overall, pretty good food! Service could be better/faster but would come back for the food! We started out with the yummy crispy platter just to try a little bit of a couple of appetizers - egg rolls were still cold on the inside and the dumplings/wings were average, would honestly just order the pumpkin cakes on their own next time. As for main dishes, delicious! Yummy Spicy Chicken, Bamboo Fish (not pictured), and Eggplant with Spicy Garlic Sauce - highly recommend all three of these dishes!

Yelp
Good Szechuan restaurant for a chill and spicy meal we came for dinner on a We had the spicy fragrant lamb: 3/5 it's quite tasty but the lamb pieces are deep fried low quality meat. Chili scallion chicken : 4.5/5 fried pieces of chicken, better quality than the lamb. Delicious fresh and fragrant Fried pork dumplings:4/5 good. Nothing notable Fried green beans: 4/5. Good but The pork (+$2) is not worth it though Service: 4/5 service was fast but we didn't get offered any water refills or anything really after we ordered.

Yelp
Yummy, but not that spicy! That's the 5 word review. We thought the menu had a lot to offer and we "only" were able to try ~8 dishes with our group of 5. Everything was delicious, but the classic "numbing" spice from Szechuan cuisine didn't shine through in any of the items we ordered. Highly recommend ordering family style -- there's even a lazy susan in the middle of the table to encourage you to share. The dishes we tried were: - Szechuan Cold Noodles ($8.95): delicious! - Spicy Fragrant Lamb ($20.95): good, not spicy and a little chewy - Yummy Spicy Chicken ($16.95): a table favorite, crispy chicken with chilis, but not numbing - Dry Fried String Beans ($13.95): a must order - Bok Choy with Mushroom ($15.95): the mushrooms were the star here - Black Pepper Beef ($18.95): really good - Wontons in chili oil ($6.99): great price for 6pcs but not my favorite although the sauce was good - Cauliflower with Pork ($15.95): lightly fried and very good There are also lots of things I would like to try if I come back, but I would probably recommend Masterpiece or Fire Stone over this one if someone really wanted spicy food. However, this restaurant has more variety, is cheaper, and is less busy. Lastly, a note of caution: steer clear of the milk tea drinks. It was very sweet, almost chemical-y sweet, and unlike tea. Go to one of the many places around here that specialize in boba if you want a sweet treat after your meal.

Zack T.

Yelp
If you like spicy food, this place is amazing. Get the Baby Wontons in Chili Oil with the Yummy Spicy Chicken, then dip the chicken in the chili oil. It's heaven.
google avatar

Nishant G.

Yelp
Food is good! Service is a little lacking. They could use more servers on any given night. We ordered the spicy chicken, the chicken came out breaded, which I didn't want, we asked about it, and pretty much got a "too bad." Sucks, but otherwise, food is good!

Yelp
My friends took me to Yummy Spicy for the first time, and although I'm glad to discover a new restaurant in the area, I was kind of expecting a little more. Given the name and the pictures, I was hoping for more spice to the foods. As someone who enjoys my food spicy, I did not think Yummy Spicy was hot at all- I had to ask for extra chili oil to dip my food in. I think that despite all the Asian/oriental restaurants around, Yummy Spicy IS different. It's definitely a different style, so yes, I would say that this restaurant is a hidden gem, and I would come here again and introduce other people to this restaurant. The food comes out quickly and service was good. The menu does a good job of describing each item so you know what you're ordering. And there's also some pictures. I wouldn't say I was disappointed in the food particularly, I just was hoping for more spice. I wanted a kick. At least that was the expectations I had for my food. I also think compare to other restaurants around, Yummy Spicy has a much more limited menu. There's not much to offer for noodle or rice dishes. I think they had about 4 different noodle dish options and only fried rice for rice dishes. Of course white rice comes complimentary with the entrees though. I also think their portion size is a little on the smaller end, especially for the price. You're looking to spend at least $12 a dish here, but most of the dish is filled up with the peppers so it looks big, but in actuality, its not that big. The price is comparative to surrounding Asian restaurants. I would definitely eat family style if you come here. The dishes we ordered were the baby wontons in chili oil, dry fried eggplant, braised fish in chili oil, yummy spicy chicken, and a noodle dish. My personal favorite was the braised fish in chili oil, but I'm a big fish person. I don't think this dish was spicy at all, but the fish is very soft and juicy. The sauce that it comes in tastes great if you eat it over rice with the fish. The baby wontons also weren't spicy at all. I actually dipped them in chili oil sauce again before eating. But this is also a dish I typically like to order at restaurants. Its a good appetizer if you're looking for something small. The yummy spicy chicken reminds me of Quickly's chicken nuggets, except bigger. And I honestly didn't care for the fried eggplant. If you're looking for a different restaurant other than your routine Chinese, Thai, Korean, or Vietnamese restaurant- check this place out! But if you're hoping for spicy, Yummy Spicy isn't as it appears.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today (Friday afternoon). Parking is odd. Yummy Spicy shares a small free parking lot, and the parking spaces have angled lines painted, as if it's a one way drive through the parking lot. However, it's not, so look both ways as you pull out of your spot because cars will be driving both ways. The brick building looks like an old Mexican restaurant from the outside, and it was a little startling that the inside appearance of this location didn't have a strong Chinese theme. There are two dining areas, and the bigger one seems very much crowded. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked through the door, seated immediately and given menus. The menu is very extensive and has a lot of Chinese dishes that I've never heard of before. They have lunch specials, and that's what we selected from. I ordered Chicken with bamboo shoots lunch with a fried vegetable spring roll, and, from my options, selected white steamed rice and hot and sour soup. R ordered Mongolian Beef lunch (beef had a $2 upcharge) with a fried vegetable spring roll, and selected white steamed rice and egg drop soup. It didn't take long for our food to be served to us, and the portions were generous. My meal was delicious. I loved the firm and crunchy bamboo shoots. The only thing about this meal that I would've changed is to have the bits of chicken be larger. The cuts of chicken were about 2 inches long and very thin. The flavor of this was very good. The soup was good, and I thought it needed a little more spiciness to get it to the the "hot" level, since it was HOT and sour soup. The service could improve here. They didn't come to check in on us, and we had to ask for water a couple of times before they brought us glasses and a cold bottle of water.

Yelp
I am so glad that I try out the Yummy Spicy。。z(・・)ノEven though the delivery is so late , but their food still delicious and warm 。First i have beef with cilantro appetizer, with spiced favor is okie and good 。Then the minced beef with cilantro soup is awesome , I like the silky and stimulating my appetite 。Each time I hang out with my friend in Chinese restaurants, I definitely order pork intestines's dish and Spicy chicken Skeletons 。I love to eat the fat but not greasy intestines and savoury chicken skeletons 。And then spicy lamb backbone is amazing taste 。OMG I really the lamb soup base, I can eat three rice bowl with that soup 。(´` ) For me , this restaurant is fantastic!(⁎⁍⁍⁎)

Yelp
Loved their food, the restaurant is tiny and has limited seating. The quality of food is everything, it's a fast paced restaurant. They have a ginormous menu and everyone would have plenty of options regardless of diets(vegan, vegetarian, GF). Really enjoyed their vegetable Mala Tang (served with rice) and fried okra stir fry. They also serve fermented cabbage as an appetizer which is flavorful and crunchy. The portions are big and great value. They have ample of parking space and can be seen from regular traffic. They offer Dine in and to go. Not a date night place but definitely good for hanging out or dining alone. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
The parking for this place is kind of weird, the spots are really narrow so be careful. Overall, the food was great! I didn't really think anything was that spicy though, I think everything could have been spicier. Guys, you have to get the fried eggplant! It was delicious and it was gone in a second, we devoured it! I think it was the best out of all the dishes we had. Overall, great experience! It was super crowded when we went on a Sunday night. I definitely recommend ordering family style!

Yelp
This place's location is kind of easy to miss but I'd say it's a hidden gem. Firstly, service is just 6 out of 5 stars they break the scale. They're extremely catering, extremely aware of their customers, and you can tell they take pride in their business. Secondly, I love the cold water bottles they serve water out of and the cocktail looking glasses. Usually non-american restaurants give room temperature water and it tastes like sink but this was fresh and much appreciated!! Lastly, the food was great. We had the Kung pao chicken and the braised fish in chili oil. Both tasted crafted and different from what you'd usually taste anywhere else. I'd say this was a taste of real China to be honest it's not the westernized type Asian food which was awesome! Will definitely be back

Aaliyah E.

Yelp
GARBAGE. Doggfood. Doesn't not taste or look appetizing. They ripped us off. Paid $54 and was literally repelled by their food. All chilis or veggies. Overly fried meat that did not taste like chicken. Rice was subpar. The service was fine, they called me when the food was done, but I wish I never came to pick up this food. Never again. Super disappointed.

Yelp
The food here is amazing I got the jing jang pork (a sweet pork dish) and it's delicious the reason I want to come! My parents got the hot and numbing combination also delicious to me the best part is the fish it is so soft and when you bite into it's so satisfying. Service is very good considering it's always packed always nice people working there.

Yelp
I love Szechuan Chinese food, it's my favorite and this place has become my #1. I recommend going with a large group, get a table with the lazy Susan and share all the things. THE EXCELLENT: Spicy Beer Duck - hard to describe because I've never had a dish quite like it. It's almost like Jamaican Oxtail- tender pieces of chopped up duck soaking in a dark silky gravy - with a warm Chinese 5 spice flavor. Cumin Lamb - I'm not even a lamb person, but this dish might make me a convert. The bits of shredded lamb are fried crispy and tossed into a delicious cumin seasoning. Bamboo fish - boneless chunks of fish fillet (probably flounder) with this great light batter, fried to perfection and tossed with that addictive Szechuan seasoning blend. There is several places in the area that do this dish and this version does not disappoint. Crispy fried shrimp and onions - this dish is pretty straightforward. It's basically shrimp and onion rings fried perfectly tossed in a great seasoning blend. I know that doesn't sound exotic or a stand out but something about the way they do the batter and the seasoning blend. It's just so Snackable - if you've got a large group of people, this is a great addition. THE GOOD Twice cooked pork belly - salty delicious and stir fried with leeks. Szechuan steamed dumplings - on point and it comes in chili oil bath. Dry fried eggplant- they do a great job, it compares to Gu's or anyone else. The meh Crab Rangoons The portion sizes are large, it's a great value. I recommend going in person because a lot of this food is fried and needs to be eaten before it gets soggy.

Yelp
Discreet location but authentic and clean! With speedy service also Cold cucumber dish: beautifully presented and very refreshing.

Yelp
The food was delicious, and the service was good as well, they actually brought my food out to my truck, as I did not expect them to bring it out as I was sitting and waiting for them to prepare it. The ambiance, I can't really speak on it as it was lunch time and I got my food to go. I will return here again, I got the spicy braised fish.

Yelp
So good!!! My husband picked this out for dinner with his parents. We split some salt and pepper shrimp and the spicy beef with scallions and chili was so good! Can't want to go back!

Yelp
Little spot in the midst of many small restaurants. It smelled delicious when we walked in. We were seated quickly and the service was amazing. Huge menu with familiar items and so many I had never heard of before. We ordered some of the standards like fried rice, hot and sour soup and pot stickers. Then some new dishes to us Salt & Pepper shrimp, green onion pancakes, a pickled appetizer and a tofu dish. There was not one bad bite. We left happy, full and with leftovers. I'd definitely go back

Yelp
I've never been a fan of Chinese food, but this place has completely changed my mind. I've been visiting Yummy Spicy for over two years, and it never disappoints! If you're a spicy food addict like me, I highly recommend this hidden gem. The customer service is also amazing!

Yelp
Great authentic Chinese food! So glad we found this place!! Food is tasty. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Officially our favorite Chinese spot!

Yelp
I did not expect much from this place based on how it looks on the outside but the food was fantastic. We ordered the pepper beef, fragrant lamb, broiled fish in chili oil, and the egg drop soup. The lamb and the fish took the show! The lamb was flavorful and crispy. The fish was tender and not overly spicy. Would recommend these two dishes for anyone going for the first time! The black pepper beef was recommended to us but no one in my group thought it was anything special. Overall, would return to this restaurant.

Yelp
The best sichuan restaurant in Atlanta! My parents and I have been coming here for almost 7 years and never disappointed. Throughout the pandemic they stayed open and provided safe takeaway service. The fish in chili oil and cumin lamb ARE MUST ORDERS! Scallion chicken is a close second!

Yelp
I came here for lunch with my coworkers as they advised they are a regular here. I ordered one of their lunch specials: Shredded beef with tofu, celery, cooked in chili oil. The lunch special included a soup of your choice: hot & sour or egg drop. It also includes a spring roll and fried or steam riced. I opted for the fried rice, hot & sour soup, and spring roll. It was super tasty. A bit pricey. Service was good as well. I may come back at a later date to try some more foods!

Yelp
Authentic Chinese in a casual setting plenty of parking. Food was extremely fresh well prepared and not over seasoned. This is an absolute gem on Buford highway lots of seafood options.

Yelp
I found this place on YouTube. One of the YouTubers I watch had mentioned this spot and I had to try it out my self! My husband and I ordered the garlic egg plant and some kind of intestine dish. We really enjoyed it! The food is really yummy..wish we could have ordered more food but it was just two of us! Cant wait till we go back!

Yelp
Almost every Saturday I'm in Gwinnett county now so I'm looking forward to trying more restaurants on Buford highway. I wanted chinese food and something spicy so went to yelp and decided that Yummy sounded like a good option. It's a very small restaurant and it was perfect for this introvert that was dining solo. Several tables had customers so I was placed at a table with 4 chairs and brought a menu. The menu is divided up my proteins with a veggie section also. In the dining room there was a projector in playing asian karaoke shows, the music was nice. I ordered green tea and was brought out a mini tea pot and the tea was very hot, boiling hot so I had to wait several minutes to take a sip. Also the tea was not good, it tasted old. For my meal, I ordered Sichuan shrimp $15.95 and fried eggplant. I forgot how large asian portions are and when the items came out, it was a lot of food for one person. I was also pretty excited because I would have leftovers. Food came out very fast and everything looked delicious. The food came with complimentary steamed rice which was very nice. Everything tasted very good and was very flavorful, I enjoyed each bite. Food 4 stars Ambience 4 stars Reason for the 3 stars is the service; I had to ask for water, to go box, my check. Nobody really checked on me to see if I needed anything else. I don't necessarily think they were rude, they just didn't see a need. For such a small and intimate place someone could have said bye as I was leaving or thanked me for stopping by but that didn't happen. I just expected something different from what appears to be a small family business. I might stop by again but probably not anytime soon unless I'm picking up something to go.

Yelp
I would say this is one of my most favorite Chinese restaurant in Atlanta. As particular as I am, there are very few Chinese restaurants I would repeatedly visit and this is one of them! Surprisingly the dishes size haven't been reduced like many others- so good to visit today.

Yelp
Yeah they get it. Yummmyyyy. The Mapo tofu here is some of the best i had. A richer, heartier flavor than most. Also got the dry fried eggplant (not as good as Gu's but still damn good), the green beans (fire), the cumin lamb (stir that ish into the Mapo tofu to take both to next level), the baby wontons (simple but so good), and the intestines with green peppers (flavor is intensely strong so i let my friend take it all home but the texture is great.)

Yelp
I had a mini reunion with two friends I hadn't seen in awhile. They recommended this place as it was nearby and new, and they knew that I hadn't been back in Atlanta for several years. I definitely love spicy food and so I was excited to try some hopefully legit Szechuan. The things we shared were: Dan Dan Noodles: not exactly cold noodles but not hot, tossed well with cucumbers and sesame seeds PROS - refreshing - not super oily - filling - shareable provided you order other things as well unless you are a noods-only person CONS: - noodles were slightly overcooked but not to the point where they were mushy/stuck together. Spicy Double Fried Chitterlings: Ok if you're Asian and also from the south, chitterlings or intestines/gopchang/dachang is a very savory flavorful delicacy. It is damn tasty. PROS: - not super spicy but just enough heat to keep you wanting more and more - the fat in the intestines goes well with the spice (making it more addicting) - definitely flavorful: the pictures alone show how much seasoning is used but yet it's not ridiculously overpowerful (you still need to have some sort of carb with it though) CONS: - be careful of the peppercorns! Fried Cabbage: stir fried cabbage/vegetables PROS: - lightened up the meal: not overly spiced, just lightly seasoned with salt/soy sauce - not super greasy - broke up the fattiness of the intestines and other things we ordered - not overcooked nor undercooked CONS: - none (this is a super basic dish) Szechuan Wontons PROS - definitely shareable but maybe between two to three people depending on how much food you've ordered for the group - not super spicy but just enough heat CONS: - slightly overboiled: the wrappers were a little dilapidated but still good - oily, due to hot chili oil. It's not necessarily a con, but I try not to eat too much oil because it makes me a bit queasy. Some people can handle it just fine though. I'd definitely come here again for sure. The service was good although parking can be a little bit tough if you come during the business hour. You can probably park next door in the large shopping plaza (Asian Square) but you'd have to walk down a short bit along Buford Highway. Definitely worth it though!

Yelp
The food was so delicious. The spicy chicken had so many chilies on it it was so flavorful. My husband was craving spicy food and they didn't disappoint. so glad we found this place right across the street from our favorite Chinese Ramen spot. Two of the best Chinese restaurants in Atlanta in my opinion. strangely enough the string beans are top of the list. I mean everything was incredible but I think the string beans are something I'm gonna get every single time I go

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place since I do love my vegetarian Sichuan food. I was soooo pumped to find this place open on a tuesday night at 10pm on our way home from the airport, they close at 12! A cute little place, super clean and not a huge fancy style restaurant. Very cozy home feel and there were 4 other tables when we arrived. We quickly ordered the eggplant (not fried), mapo tofu and Chinese greens like gailan. All were awesome! We usually hit Chong Qing Hot Pot but they are not open late and that is food court. Yummy spicy has the sichuan flavor without the heat, I won't lie...I like, I mean I LOVE super spicy foods. Even though this wasn't spicy compared to Chong Qing it had amazing flavor and without a ton of oil. My husband loved it and we will 100% be back. Great food, great service and open late night, that's a five star in my book!

Yelp
This is my favorite Sichuan restaurant in Atlanta. The price is super reasonable with quality food. The lunch portion is a great deal any time of the week for about $10 which you can barely get that with inflation these days. I always get the sesame shrimp, cauliflower, and fish braised in chili oil. Those are my top 3 dishes to try there!

Yelp
If you never had Szechuan cuisine, you absolutely have to try it! If you never bit into a peppercorn before, be ready to not feel your tongue for a HOT minute. Szechuan cuisine is spicy but super enjoyable. Yummy Spicy had a great variety of Szechuan dishes to choose from as well as other traditional Chinese dishes that are not as spicy. - Braised fish and tofu in chili oil: So good! I highly recommend this for a good spicy Szechuan dish. The fish is so soft and flavorful! - Braised beef in chili oil: Just as flavorful as the braised fish and tofu but definitely comes second to the fish and tofu. - House fried rice: Love a good authentic fried rice! With giant shrimps, pork, chicken! - Basil chicken: Wow!! Probably my second favorite dish of the night. It was such a different flavor from the other spicy dishes that it was great to alternate between this dish and the braised tofu/fish. Yummy Spicy is also literally on the back side of Sweet Hut so you can stop there afterwards for a sweet bun or bubble tea to soothe your tongue :P

Yelp
My peeps eat Chinese food on Christmas. It's a rule. I knew I'd be traveling on Christmas Day so Christmas Eve was the next best option. Thank you Atlanta Yelpsters for directing us to Yummy Spicy. We loved it. Pleasant atmosphere, great service despite some communication issues, and terrícolas food. The three of us shared fried veggie dumplings, sweet and sour soup, yuchoy with garlic, mayo tofu and spicy fragrant lamb. The big winners were the yuchoy and the lamb. The tofu was the surprise taste sensation. We'll be back. I want to work my way through the menu. This restaurant lived up to its name.

Yelp
One of the many gems on the doraville highway. The restaurant gets much better once you get inside. Cleanly maintained tables. It was very quiet for lunch time on a weekend. But that being said, food was fresh and didnt disappoint us. We ordered sichaun pepper chicken and their duck. The chicken was fresh and so flavorful. The duck was good but it was bone in and was very hard to eat those small bone in pieces. The menu is a huge book and i managed to take pictures for anyone who might be interested to see them. Price range $$ Overall a great place to eat szechaun food. There arent many places that serve this food in atlanta.

Yelp
I have been here with a group of friends for dinner. Some of the dishes that our group ordered were Hot and Sour Soup, Dry fried eggplant, Yummy Spicy Chicken, Bamboo Fish, Spicy Crispy Pork feet, Braised Fish in chili oil and Chicken fried rice. Most of the dishes tasted good but not to the level of spice that we expected. We at least thought some of us will be sweating and have running nose because of the spice but nothing that happened. Instead of adding some hot spices they just added cut dry chilies in every dish. So it's easy to take them off the plate and then everything is just a normal meal. Nothing spectacular. This place is conveniently located on Buford Highway. They do have ample free parking in front of the restaurant. A huge projector was present which was screening some Chinese music videos on to a wall next to us. I believe the prices were in line with portion sizes. Good thing is the menu comes with photos. I would advise checking with the waiters to confirm which is what. Presentation was cool and looked awesome. Service was good as well, the food didn't come out all the same time, but each dish was very hot and served immediately after being cooked. Also, they have late hours for those nights out on Buford raging at the karaoke bars.
