Sushi｜Yurakucho Kakida｜Tokyo

This is quite an popular SNS restaurant. Although we are not served by Kakida san, but we have the very good chef serving us. And the room is not crowded so the environment is so nice. Food is great, and the free refill is really generous. Chef can also speak good English and he’s doing his best to talk to everyone and to take care of everyone’s need. We are having a good time and this is a nice experience. Will definitely go again.

The staff were extremely hospitable and made the experience very pleasant and enjoyable. The food was also of superb quality (this includes the refills). Definitely recommend it to anyone who's in for good quality sushi with a nice view overlooking the Shinjuku area and the JR station and don't mind paying a bit more.

Great place for sushi! The chef is really nice, engaging and fun to eat with! Would rate this a 10/10 experience. Food was good across the board - especially the tunas which tasted fabulous

"Not Worth the Hype — Disappointing Experience." I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit was beyond frustrating. We waited over 1 hour before the main sushi arrive with no explanation or update from the staff. When the dishes finally arrived, the disappointment continued — the food was not great, lacked the freshness and flavor you'd expect from a Japanese restaurant. They didn’t provide any ginger to cleanse the palate, which is a basic and expected part of a sushi experience. For the price and the wait, we expected much better. Service was ok. There are far better Japanese restaurants out there that respect your time and taste buds. This was a letdown from start to finish. Would not recommend.

This was an absolutely phenomenal sushi experience. The sushi chef that served us that night was such a friendly, attentive, and extremely skilled chef. He took very good care of us. The sushi quality was on another level. I've been to my fair share of sushi spots in the states (where I'm from) but the sushi here at this place was on a complete other level. It tasted fresh, it was tender, rice on the nigiri was not overly acidic, wasabi was dashed on just right, and each fish presentation was perfect. I was recommended this spot by a local and was not disappointed whatsoever. While it is true it is a little on the pricyer end, I strongly felt it was worth every penny I spent on it. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic sushi experience. 10/10 🙌

It’s an omakase with a few lighthearted interactions with the chef. Can be quite a memorable experience for first timer in Japan! In my opinion, this was not the best omakase I’ve had, though it’s very filling because you get to request for more sushi pieces at the end of the meal, also 2 rounds of ice cream! But if you’re looking for a more refined sushi omakase experience, this place is not it.

A perfect Omakase! Absolutely delicious sushi, served in a very entertaining way in a really nice atmosphere. We had made our reservations to sit at the bar, and were therefore able to see up close and personal what the sushi chefs were preparing. Explanation was in Japanese and English, and delightfully entertaining. Our pre-teens also enjoyed it very much! Do make a reservation well in advance, especially if you want to sit at the bar to see the sushi-creation process. You can include a non-alcoholic or an alcohol drink package. The latter gives you an option to try 4 different kinds of sake, and refills if you want to. At the end of the dinner the different kinds of sushi are called off again, and you can tell the chef how many you would like to have of each. Do remember what you ordered though🙃🍣 We had a wonderful dinner and would return any time. Strongly recommended!

The place is quite conveniently located on the 19th floor of the Hotel Century Southern Tower. We did the lunch course was Yen 13,000, which was not to expensive given the amount of food served. There was a starter, assorted tempura , at least 15 sushi items (and you can reorder the sushi items you liked one once more) , a portion or sukiyaki and desert. Our server for that day was Shota. He was very professional and attentive . Kudos all around Would come back
