Sushi｜Yurakucho Kakida｜Tokyo

We came here for our final dinner in Tokyo, we had made a reservation weeks out. Overall the restaurant is nice and gives a nice vibe and has good ambiance. The biggest disappointment of the evening is that we were looking to have an Omakase experience in Tokyo and instead we were seated at a table in the corner an just served what felt like side dishes when they got to us. They should be more descriptive in the reservations as our reservation did indeed say omakase experience. That was not. The sushi was good. A few things j did t care much for but overall it was fresh and good. I will say I had better and fresher fish at the Tsukiji Fish Market thought. Came here for sushi, but my favorite thing of the evening was actually the final course which was a Wagyu steak - it was delicious! They do allow you to order another round of each course if you want, but we were too full from having eaten all day that we passed. They had Häagen-Dazs ice cream for dessert 😂 what? Would have expected something a bit nicer than a cardboard cup of ice cream. We wouldn’t come back here & I would recommend looking elsewhere for an omakase experience

This restaurant is located on the top floor of the Odakyu Hotel. Our seating area is overlooking the Tokyo skyline—especially the iconic Docomo Tower. The meal began with an appetizer course featuring three plates, 10 delicate, bite-sized selections, ranging from creamy potato salad to eggplant, salad fish, shrimp chicken, and beef, each thoughtfully prepared and well balanced. The main course included 16 pieces of sushi showcasing a wonderful variety of fresh fish and variety of seafood. The highlight of the experience was the opportunity to choose your favorite piece to enjoy once more at the end of the sushi course. I think it is a thoughtful and satisfying way to conclude the meal. Dessert is all you can eat Pino or Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

Go elsewhere if you're looking for an authentic omakase experience. Come if you can eat lot, and if you want sushi refills. Heard this place was popular. It's located in a hotel building, so I thought I'll get a premium experience. Service and atmosphere was great. But sushi was mediocre. I had better sushi in U.S. Fish was overall fresh but rice was mushy. Sushi was not served with any ginger or side condiments. Appetizers were very poor taste. They offer a round of 'refills' after the omakase is done, where you can order what you liked at no additional cost. I can see that this is the only perk for this experience. I would not personally return and do not recommend. Come if you want to get most out of your money.

Had a fantastic omakase experience! The dishes were incredibly fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. A special shout-out to Ikuya.f, who was very friendly, helpful, and made us feel really well taken care of throughout the whole meal. The service, atmosphere, and quality of food made this a really memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

First meal in Tokyo and wow, so impressive! Great food, amazing service special shoutout to Nana for being so sweet and professional 🩷 We ordered the Tokyo menu with unlimited sushi so damn good! 🍣 Super generous portions and the sushi was incredibly fresh. We couldn’t resist ordering more! 😋 Definitely coming back next time for the counter seats and Nana’s top-notch service!😍

All you can eat omakase. After the omakase, you will have one round of all you can eat. So, make sure you know how much you can eat by then. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Tokyo. This restaurant is very delicious. The service and environment are amazing. I personally don’t really like the appetiser but other than that it’s great!

Booked the shogun meal set with ayce sushi. Then got there and found out its not really ayce. Can only order a few sushi pieces and one time reorder only. Food takes awhile to come out. Everything in the set is crazy small even for Japanese portion sizes. Staff were nice, except for the only lady at entrance who I said I have a reservation to but she gave me an “X” sign with her hands and said no. I think she was confused but even if I didn’t have a reservation that was a bit rude. She later looked at the computer and confirmed my reservation and let me dine. Come hungry; leave hungier. Pricey for what it is. Go somewhere else.

Not the best, not the worst but definitely not my favorite. For the dinner price tag of 15,000 yen per person, you would expect the quality to be A++. Some of the fish still had bones in it (specifically the tuna roll with all the salmon roe on it) and they served something called “chicken prosciutto” which I think we should have been warned about prior since it wasn’t very obvious on the menu we were handed. I’m not sure if it was raw or not but it completely threw off the rest of the meal for me after realizing what I had just eaten. The servers were attentive and kind and the chef was entertaining. I do believe though, he was a student as some of the cuts were messy and not clean. The sake selection was excellent, however. Overall, I wouldn’t personally recommend this restaurant but others seem to really enjoy it.
