Food is delicious specially Baos are very special. We found it a bit expensive as portions were small. We had 50% off on the food so it was good for us but if you want to go full price you’ll end up paying at least 60£ per person if you want to leave there full. Staff are friendly and we received a good service. The atmosphere is not ideal though, very quiet for a Saturday night.

If I do not have the Fork 50% off, I will think I am being scam lol The original price is fascinating lol But overall food is not bad, proper seasoning and presentation that you can easily make the same dish at home

Actually we were quite disappointed. We dined here 3 times 5 years ago and made a reservation for this trip 4 months in advance, looking forward to the night out. Boy did the food change. The presentation is less appealing than before, the Wagyu was borderline eatable, so much fat on the piece, I had to chew for minutes. The bites were awesome still. The ube Icecream, I longed for for so long - you guessed it, disappointing. What a shame, it was such a nice restaurant, hope they'll find the way back and maybe we'll give it a try again next time. The oolong mojito lacked both tea and rum, only thing we tasted was mint. Also you never knew when your food will come. Did they forget the order or will a starter pop out of thin air, when you already finished your main 🤣 The restaurant feels cozy, the tables however are so sticky, you have to apply force to lift your glass or plates, and after dinner, you see where you placed your arms, yuck. Price is quite high for the quality we got this time. Service however was great, friendly and quite swift in their reaction, that's why we still tipped nicely.

Google
We went here with quite a large group from work. We were quite skeptical when it came to ordering as we ordered A LOT but they did a great job at serving the food. The food was great and plenty of vegetarian options available.

Tried various options from the menu. Good presentation, appealing menu (combination of different Asian elements). Most dishes are mediocre, a few nice ones (eggplant, tuna rice cake), and a few others that are too salty (wings, shrimps). We used the 50% off discount from First Table so the final bill was very worth for what we had. But for their original menu price I personally would not return.

Google
A Japanese restaurant with many exciting dishes. The dishes are tapas-like, so it’s common to order 3-4 per person. A brilliant concept that allows you to taste many different dishes. They only had chopsticks on the table, but I imagine you can get a knife and fork if you ask. If I have to nitpick, I’m not a fan of sitting on high bar stools without backrests. The food, drinks, and service were excellent.

Google
Overall dishes tasted good but the portion is relatively small like a tapas size, so makes it a bit pricy tbh. I would say it’s more like an asian fusion place. We went with a 40% off offer and still it cost £30 per person.

Google
Doing an experience in the area, this restaurant caught our eye. The food was delicious. We had 2 waitresses, the second was very polite and friendly and service was quick. I've taken off a star because over £10 for a single BAO bun is quite ridiculous. They could easily have made that 2 buns. The first waitress we had was also very rude and abrupt. Otherwise highly recommend!

Yelp
I haven't been to a restaurant like this before. Trendy Asian fusion that defied description. Preparation and presentation were exceptional. We were there on a early Friday evening. Three of us had 6 sides and a bao each. We loved the salmon rice cakes and all the other dishes were equally good. Our server was exceptional and took very good care of us. We wanted to visit again on Sunday but they are not open Sundays.

Yelp
The vibe here was immaculate, very quirky and cool. We sat at the bar and had a few tapas and the service was great for a weekend. Id recommend everything i tried from the ube margarita to the wagyu bao. A neat touch on the bao is that each one has a edible portrait stamped on.

Yelp
Trendy Asian fusion restaurant bar in buzzy area. Stopped in around 8:30 on a Friday and it was in full swing. We 4 got high top seats with great views all over. Being 4 ladies we didn't think to get the whole menu but went w several sides, a bao each, a fish dish, and 2 rounds of drinks Big likes for fast service, good flavour and decently priced.

Yelp
This place is a very trendy Asian fusion place with a hip decor and cool designs on the walls. The tables are high, and there's also bar style seating to watch the chefs cook which I thought was nice. The food was pretty good, I loved the sticky eggplant and they have some really good Sake here. I didn't like the grilled cauliflower pr grilled broccoli, it was too sour for my taste and had to eat it with mayo to make it easier. The salmon tataki was good, although sliced very thin compared to what regular Japanese restaurants do, too thin for tataki. The service was good and the atmosphere was very chic. However it was extremely expensive and the food although looked good, did not taste that great. My partner ordered ribs and there was very little meat on them as well. The menu is quite limited. Overall a chic and trendy Asian restaurant with good service but very expensive and not too great for taste.

Yelp
Quirky restaurant serving asian tapas. The bao was nice but a bit expensive. The tuna on cracker was delicious but seeing the chef mix the raw tuna in the same bowl each time someone ordered the dish made me feel some way as I would prefer a fresh bowl since the warm bowl is sitting out. The wings and pepper salad squid were very salty so I suggest eating it along side with the bao. Service was friendly. Staff and chefs all had masks, there were also plastic shields between tables to help with social distancing.

Yelp
Came here for a late dinner a few weeks ago and had a good time. After playing crazy golf, our very hungry group of ten tried to find a place nearby that could seat all of us. The staff was super friendly and did a good job putting up with us (we could've done better on the order synchronization). First, we ordered drinks. I had the Lychee Green Bubble Tea, which I really enjoyed. They only make it iced and the bubbles pop in your mouth (they aren't tapioca), but it was tasty. And then, I had a ton of food. We ended up ordering almost everything. I tried the Twice Cooked 7Up Braised Pork Belly Bao and Crispy Soft Shell Crab Bao. The baos were tasty. The pork, which was oozing of goodness, and crab were both cooked well. The dough itself was mediocre and I could've used more flavor in the crab bao. For other dishes, I loved the: Wok Fried Kale (probably not surprising to those of you who read my other reviews and have learned that I'm super basic); Poke (again, not surprising); Jerusalem Artichoke, Lotus Root Crisps (light, airy and crunchy); Sweet & Sticky Eggplant (this was so so so good! Such great eggplant flavor); and Baby Back Ribs (well-cooked and flavored). For dessert, I had the Cilantro Ice Cream, which was kind of weird and not really my thing, but it was refreshing to have after all the other food. They were open late so we spent several hours there. Had a lot of fun, would definitely come back!

Yelp
The food was outstanding. Went on a Friday for lunch and was surprised it wasn't more busy. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. Absolutely delicious!

Yelp
This is going to be a long one so grab a snack. I was sent here based on a recommendation because the owner of the restaurant is a relative. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs prepare the ingredients for the day. We were recommended some of their popular dishes, which we ordered, alongside their cocktails. We started with their baos. We each ordered the 7Up braised pork belly bao. It looked delicious and had a picture of a manga printed on it. Presentation: 10/10. Taste: divine. The pillowy goodness of the steamed bun combined with the delicate perfection of the braised pork belly sent me to the heavens with each bite. It was nearly heartbreaking when I discovered that I had finished it. We had the lechon kawali next with steamed rice (topped with black sesame seeds) and a fried egg. Not your typical Filipino fix or presentation. No. This was presented to us with art matching the likes of Michelangelo. The taste paralleled the looks. Each bite was hit all the right spots..just enough crunch, sweet and savory. It was as if the dish was designed to make each bite a masterpiece. We also ordered the cheese and ube puto. In the typical Filipino sense, I was half expecting the dessert. I was wrong. What sat on the plate in front of me were these cute little puto sliders that were so delicately put together that could have only been touched by angels. The puto and the chorizo were made in house. You can only sit and appreciate all the thought that went into the makings of this gift from the heavens. We ended our food journey with the grilled broccoli and grilled cauliflower. I'm a fan of vegetables both cooked and raw but never in my life had I been given the pleasure of enjoying vegetables in this manner. The broccoli was superb but my favorite was the cauliflower. The sauce married well with the texture and taste of the cauliflower that despite being so full from the food I had eaten, I couldn't stop myself from putting another piece of cauliflower into my mouth. Along this sensational journey, I also had a couple of their cocktails. I started with the drunken calamansi. Sweet and refreshing. Definitely something I can keep drinking for days on end. I also had the ginger ninja. This was also delicious with a floral hint but the drunken calamansi was my favorite. The restaurant itself is decorated cutely with birdcages hanging from the ceiling and beautiful artwork around the room. If you ever find yourself in London, please please PLEASE make some time to drop by. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Note: Learned on a return visit that some of their meat items happen to be zabihah/halal, so if you observe those restrictions be sure to ask your server! Extra bonus to be able to eat the meat dishes here-- all tasty!

Yelp
I was fortunate enough to be staying three doors down from Yuu Kitchen earlier this month and was able to eat there on five separate occasions. Every time I went there I was treated to a new set of delicious dishes. I was usually there by myself and was seated either at the bar or at the counter overlooking the kitchen. I enjoyed those locations because I was able to observe the staff preparing the food. All of the kitchen staff seemed competent and looked like they were meticulously putting together the plates to be served to the customers. I was eventually able to 15 of their menu items. My personal favorites were the Grilled Broccoli, Raw Kale & Wakame, Chicken Inasal, Vietnamese Ssam and Spicy Tuna Tostada. I also really enjoyed their Bao because the bun was so soft and had great flavor, but I still preferred other dishes. I think the reason I enjoyed their food so much was because the dishes always seemed so well balanced. They all seemed to bring in elements of the full flavor spectrum in a very harmonious way. I ended up ordering three dishes most of the time. If you are anywhere near a tube stop that easily gets you to Aldgate East it would be worth your while to make a trip to Yuu Kitchen for some great food.

Yelp
We enjoyed several tapas. The chicken insala was the fav. Recommend ordering one of each to try it all. Was the most disappointed in the Kawali lechon. Described as smoked for 12 hours but was more mushy as I'd from a crock pot. No flavor. Very much enjoyed the meal and service was great.

Yelp
The second you walk in you're immediately struck by the restaurant's unique design. They offer an assortment of dishes from Asian countries from the Philippines to Thailand. But their specialty are the baos from Taiwan. Pork belly is the staple of all baos and they make theirs in a way that's uniquely Yuu Kitchen. If you're in the mood for killer Asian fusion food give them a try, yuu won't regret it.

Yelp
This place was great. The decor was interesting. Bird cage lamps as. Tables suspended by ropes from the ceiling! Dinner was tapas, sharing style. We went with the kids and my father in law on the early side. It filled up later with young people. Dishes were well done but a little pricey. Highlights were the sticky eggplant, the raw fish dishes, but wouldn't suggest the bao buns.too doughy. This was adventurous and fun, and food was good.

Yelp
Yuu had me at first taste ... first visited in March 2018 shortly after they had opened and just returned last night since it was so good. If I lived in London I am sure I would be here more frequently. Was skeptical since its Asian fusion and many times such places are not good. Yuu Kitchen is solid though. Food is delicious and all the dishes have great depth of flavor. Service, have only sat at bar counter when I've been, has been great as well. Definitely recommend.

Maddie C.

Yelp
Great tapas-style eating, cool atmosphere, and great service! Only downside is that it's shared seating so you may be seated next to loud guests.

Lori P.

Yelp
The food was simply OK and most of it was cold. Conceptually it's great but we weren't impressed.

Yelp
Randomly stumbled across this place on a Sunday - and was happy I did. Sat at the bar and watched the kitchen work their magic. Ordered wings (carolina reaper) which fell off the bone, edamame (w chili) and their lechon kawali. All fantastic. The buns looked delicious being prepared but were not part of my order this visit.

Tim G.

Yelp
This is an Asian tapas restaurant. The food was excellent and service was great. I had the pork belly boa which was amazing. They are very good at explaining everything and recommending what to get.

Yelp
We are running London Marathon tomorrow and asked specific help on the menu. They graciously helped AND sent their chef out to give us the play by play before he custom made our plate! Second to none!

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend were looking for a late meal around 9:30 at night, within 30 minutes of closing and they took us right away. We are from Brooklyn and looking for something different and delicious. We sat at the open kitchen section and The service was fantastic. We had the edamame, pork lollipops, Wagyu bro, and chicken Karagee and the food Was absolutely amazing. The head chef and owner, Jon, was extremely friendly, stopped by and had a conversation and gave us tons of other recommendations. To be a guest in London, have a great meal, friendly service, and a great host is an amazing find. Thanks again Jon!!

Yelp
Excellent food and excellent service! Try to get seats at the bar. It's really exciting to see!

Yelp
Walking back from our Jack the Ripper tour we decided to try this new place and were so happy that we did! The service led by the owner/manager (Fabricio) was not only pleasant but very fast. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share and everything was fantastic. My personal favorites were the soft shell crab, artichoke chips, and the spicy tuna tostada. Hurry in to try this restaurant because this place will be well known in no time. Will definitely be back!!

Alexandra Z.

Yelp
Lovely! Every dish has a personal touch of the chef. We both enjoyed every single thing we tried, and kept wanting more. Highly recommended

Diana B.

Yelp
Wow, this place is fantastic. I highly recommend sitting at the bar where you can watch the masters at work. The chef was wonderfully present and friendly. We only have 2 days in London, but I'm already thinking about going there again tomorrow night! The roasted cauliflower with Jalapeño dressing was one of the best things I've ever eaten. All of the dishes were surprisingly tasty and complex and clean. 5+ stars for me.

Emily R.

Yelp
Their food is amazing, I'm vegetarian so sometimes it can be hard to find a place that have good and tasty options but they had several options and they were all delicious! Very friendly staff too! Definitely recommend this place!
