4 Stars – Mexican Spot with Surprisingly Great Halibut Not sure if it was a daily special, but the halibut fish and chips was excellent, crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Since it’s a Mexican restaurant, they also served chips and salsa alongside the dish, which was an unexpected but pleasant touch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food overall was very good. Just be prepared, as prices here are definitely on the high side.

Caught some King Salmon on a Charter and brought some in to these guys. They whipped us up the most amazing fish tacos with our fresh salmon. Bring your fresh caught fish here and have them work some magic with it! Definitely impressed. Ill be back soon.

Yuyo’s is a special little place in Sitka. Very tasty. Rey fast service. Great prices, for Sitka and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I ate in and had a couple plates which I really enjoyed. I have not tried the pizza but will return to do so. Thanks for being here Yuyo’s. You rock!!

It was great! Their pepperoni pizza is amazing, not too cheesy (which I like) and very good as leftovers, their chicken tenders and fries are also amazing! My cousin was visiting and he ordered the Margarita pizza in a large, and it was so good he ate the entire thing!

Google
Food was great here! I was a bit skeptical given the mix of menu choices, but my food was really good! Especially the salsa! I had a quesadilla with chips and salsa, nothing fancy, but enjoyed every bite. This restaurant is inside a storefront, then down the stairs and on the left down the hall a bit. Definitely not something you’d see or know to go to unless you’re googling places to eat. But I DO recommend it!

Google
Super awesome pizza al pastor and Sonoran enchiladas followed by churros with salted caramel ice cream tonight. Chef Chazaq Luz Pinto Rodriguez is new here and is rocking this place 🙌 A few years ago I tried the place but didn't go back. It's been very inconsistent, I've heard, but they've found a good chef now. The food has greatly improved with a professional quality.

Yelp
Went in for lunch and ordered the shredded beef enchiladas. Got the combo with two enchiladas , beans and rice. And they gave me chips and salsa. Very good taste and glad I tried it. I was hoping to get horchata but they don't have it so I just got water. Gets busy during lunch and if I go back I hope to try again.

Yelp
I ordered a pizza for pick up and the pizza had little sauce on it. It was very dry. One of the worst pizzas I've ever had in Sitka. I have lived here for 22 years. I should have gone to Pizza Express. I usually go there.

Yelp
First of all the service was wonderful, even though there was only one gentleman there behind the counter when we arrived we didn't wait long for our order. I kid you not I ate over half the pizza I got in 5 minutes, the salsa they put on top of the Mexican Margarita is incredible and was the star of the show for me. The vibe inside the store was lovely as well, very well themed and friendly and inviting. I enjoyed my experience thoroughly.

Yelp
The food was 4/5 but this place has a lot of heart so I can't but help give it a 5. We got: - Mexican coke + watermelon Jarritos - fresh chips(!!!) and generic salsa - the baked/fried ravioli as an app - multiple burritos - a plate of nachos - a plate of enchiladas My family of six, coming from NYC to Vancouver, arrived via cruise in Sitka and ended up here on a whim. We love and are fairly picky Mexican eaters and maybe would have turned away on any other day but we ended up in the empty restaurant. We were so happy we did. It's a family run spot in the basement but it deserves your tourist money for a decent meal. Other patrons were getting pizzas and they looked pretty good (coming from a NYC-er) but we were too stuffed to even consider it. We enjoyed the food too much to do many pics but I took one of the enchiladas as they were a great find.

Yelp
What. Sweet place. The whole family helped and such a great vibe. Great customer service. Gogantic pastor burrito. And they acknowledged my allergies and made sure they got it right.

Yelp
We were intrigued by the menu and tried out Yuyo's while we were in town for a week. When we walked in, we were a little confused because it did but look like a restaurant but the seating is in a back room. We were one of two tables in the dining area. The service was ok, not amazing but not terrible. The server was nice enough but not over the top friendly. I felt she seemed more shy or introverted than anything else. We ordered a carne asada sandwich and my husband and I split the full triple quesadilla with carne asada. The chips were delicious, perfectly crispy and salted. The server refilled our basket once when we asked. The carne asada was tender but not terribly flavorful. I felt that it needed a little bit more spice or something. I am not sure if I'd come back unless I was really craving Mexican food.

Yelp
Go down the street to Ye Taco Loco and order pizza from Pizza Express. Both places have better tacos at a better price. Yuyo's has the atleast the 2 worst tacos in town. Terrible service, easily the worst in town. The steak is unseasoned, sour smelling, burnt, and dice more finely than the onions. Speaking of which were not diced conventionally. The irregular onion chunks were the size of a 6 sided die so I assume they guy in the back used dice as a reference to dice onions. There is no way you can serve what I had received and say that you care. Nor did they say as such when I went to complain. 'Oh I don't eat the tacos' when I had asked why they decided to add BBQ sauce to my taco without telling me. They straight up ignored my complaint about messing up my order yet still charging the full meal charge. If they don't care, then I will share it with people that might. I had ordered 1 al pastor and 1 steak taco ala carte. What I received was a 'meal' consisting of 1 'al pastor' taco which was just pineapple, pork grisle, and bbq sauce (Seriously wtf) , 2 steak tacos, which was criminally scummy. Imagine you take a Ye Taco Loco taco, dump half the steak out, then split it into 2 tacos. But wait you got to let the meat spoil and wash off the seasoning. Then you got a Yuyo steak taco. Then you have the 'meal' which is just reheated rice beans and guac, sour cream, and pico featuring our massive onion chunks. 20$ DO NOT GET TACOS HERE. 2 steak tacos here is like 15$ Walk down the street and get 3 Ye Taco Loco's and you get 6x the meat, actually diced onion and cilantro, fresh lime, and great salsa for 15$ You don't get the cabbage though. Which is the best part of the dish I experienced. And Ye Taco Loco doesn't scam you when they mess up your order. Since they didn't seem to care about the complaint, I figured I'd share with with people that might. This place is a terrible shame to tacos everywhere. I simply couldn't believe that they openly scammed me to my face. I'm more upset that they couldn't care less about it than the meal I was served.

Yelp
This place is always busy because the food is so delicious. I love the tacos, burritos, and the Sonora dog. They also have great sopaipillas! Family-run business, pays attention to us local customers in a respectful way. The delivery guys are always so courteous, and the food is always hot

Yelp
El Jardin pizza was the weirdest pizza I've ever experienced. Paid for extra mushrooms & onions, to receive scant toppings all around, including a few splotches of frozen spinach!?! (seriously, what restaurant uses frozen spinach on a pizza?) Crust was decent, with an absolutely flavorless red sauce. Super odd that there wasn't a single spice on the pizza, or in the sauce! Not a single speck of basil, oregano... nothing! Zero herbs anywhere. Somehow stranger still, menu includes a Weenie pizza, and YES - this joint legit has the word "WEENIE" on their menu. Their Cubano sandwich was decent, and they don't have whole beans available, only refried beans. Between the frozen spinach, lack of herbs/favor, disappointing bean scene & the word "weenie" on the menu, I do not recommend this place.

Yelp
Really great food. Super sweet kids helping out. I had a burrito with the carne asada. Meat was tender and had a delicious flavor. I was not expecting such great Mexican food. We had vouchers from a fishing charter, but would definitely come back, regardless of vouchers.

Yelp
Food tasted great but is astronomically priced for a portion size that wouldn't fill up my eight year old much less an adult man. Menu says enchiladaS, you get an enchiladA the size of a silver dollar pancake and the $4 extra you have to pay for rice and beans gets you one large tablespoon of each. Service was lackluster (they did seem to be short handed) but friendly and there was a dog wondering in and out of the kitchen?

Yelp
We got a delivery order and it arrived promptly. The website is super user friendly and easy to order on. Their food is all quality, and even things like the tortilla chips seem homemade! Friend got a cubano and loved it. The beans and rice are very good and the meat is well cooked and tasty! None of us had a complaint with anything (also the sopapillas were fab! And a bazillion come in the order). Def give these guys a chance!

Yelp
Great food.. sometimes not always consistent. The delivery driver rides around with his little dog or other family members. Not to mention they are really expensive, they charge 13-14 bucks for a serving of what looks like big popcorn chicken, they call them boneless wings...I could have went to the grocery store and bought a bag of frozen chicken as well... I'm becoming more and more disappointed in Sitka's quality of food and more specifically Mexican restaurants. oh yeah and phone people are children who sound like they hate their life.
