Japanese restaurant · Beaverton
"Afuri and Ramen Ryoma are worthy places to get a Japanese noodle fix in Beaverton, but Yuzu, with its counter seating and slightly hidden location, feels the most like visiting Japan. The restaurant offers a few izakaya starters, as well as multiple styles of ramen. The standout is the kakuni ramen, with a rich tonkotsu base, bamboo shoots, pickled ginger, wakame, a slice of chashu, plus stewed chunks of pork belly."
"This small, unmarked family-run izakaya is also hidden in a Beaverton strip mall, across the street from the Fred Meyer at Beaverton Town Square. The kakuni ramen, made of tonkotsu broth and straight noodles, is the most popular, but the shoyu and curry ramens are also worthwhile endeavors. There aren’t many meat-free options here, but pescatarians will have better luck with Yuzu’s selection of seafood dishes." - Zoe Baillargeon
"Yuzu, this tiny little Japanese Izakaya in Beaverton, is the epitome of simplicity. I love it." - Thom Hilton

"Another ramen hotspot in Beaverton, Yuzu quietly houses a treasure trove of izakaya dishes (though the menu is more abbreviated than it once was). Sure, Yuzu serves traditional izakaya fare like pan-fried gyoza and agedashi tofu, but the menu really stands out thanks to dishes like “Mr. Nakano’s Fried Sausage,” breaded and fried sausages served like tonkatsu, as well as its wafu Japanese-style caesar salad with parmesan, fried gobo, and creamy miso dressing. Takeout is available."
