Chamblee Creates a Downtown Entertainment District with an Open Container Policy for To-Go Cocktails | Eater Atlanta

"Included in Chamblee’s downtown entertainment district that took effect July 1, this establishment may participate in the city’s open-container area between Ingersoll Rand Drive and McGaw Drive, allowing patrons to consume off-premise alcoholic beverages within the designated boundaries under strict rules: drinks must be served in clear plastic cups bearing the establishment’s logo and an authorized city sticker, and open containers must be disposed of by 10:00 p.m. Possession of open beverages outside the district, after 10:00 p.m., or in unauthorized containers can result in citations or fines. The district is intended to promote local businesses, walkability, and community gathering; state rules on to-go cocktails (SB 236) still apply where municipalities permit them, including limits on quantity, container type, alcohol content, and purchaser identification." - Beth McKibben

Absolutely loved the Teriyaki Chicken🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Very flavorful, rates the best I have had, cooked to perfection. Came complete with house salad and soup. Sushi was excellent. The staff was very friendly and great service. Modest decor but loved it! No overbearing loud music so you can enjoy conversation with family and friends. A tucked away gem.

We called ahead to see if they were busy, and they let us know there was no wait. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. At first, we noticed they were out of several menu items, so we were a little hesitant. My son wanted lemonade, but they didn’t have any at the moment. However, our waitress went out of her way to check and came back with a yuzu sparkling lemonade for him, which really meant a lot to us and set the tone for the rest of the visit. We ordered the chicken teriyaki, gyoza, cucumber salad, albacore delight, salmon lemon roll, and another albacore plate—and everything was absolutely 10/10. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I usually have a hard time finishing my meals, but I surprised myself by eating everything because it was just that good. The service and food were phenomenal. This is truly a low-key spot with great people and amazing food. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

Me and my wife love Yuzu! They are sushi artist with their plating and quality ingredients. Everything is very fresh with options for all types of sushi enthusiasts.

Google
Yuzu Sushi has been a cherished favorite of mine for years—not only for its consistently exquisite cuisine but for the warmth and sense of belonging it offers. The sushi is always impeccably fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and flavorful, but what truly sets Yuzu apart is the way it makes you feel. At the heart of this experience is Ana, the remarkable owner whose kindness and keen memory transform every visit into something personal and meaningful. No matter how much time has passed, she recalls the smallest details—your usual order, conversations you’ve shared, and even asks about your family with genuine care. On my last visit, she greeted me with a hug, a simple yet profoundly warm gesture. Yuzu is an absolute gem!

Google
Overall we had a nice dinner here. We really enjoyed the rolls we tried. Loved the Salmon Lemon roll and Hot Night roll and the Double tuna roll was also pretty good. Spicy dynamite roll wasn't our favorite. Service was speedy, but lacking in terms of friendliness. Nobody was rude, but the staff were curt and not personable. That's my only complaint and we will definitely go back and try some other things on the menu.

Google
My favorite sushi place. Great quality fish and creative use of ingredients in rolls fuse the essence of various cuisines while somehow staying fairly traditional. The only place where I can be eating a sushi roll and getting a craving for citrusy Mexican notes satisfied. You can’t go wrong with any roll or appetizer. The staff is kind and welcoming, the sushi chefs are consistently delivering and the location is great. My friend and I come as often as we can!

Google
It is very unfortunate that I have to give this place only two stars, because the food was phenomenal. The big problem was the service: We ordered two yellowtail dishes - the yellowtail yuzu jalapeño, and the yellowtail belly sashimi. We got the first one quickly and had finished it once the second had arrived. We were about to start eating, when the waitress comes over and snatches the plate from the table, aggressively accusing us of already eating the yellowtail and saying that we didn't order this second portion. When we asked her what was wrong, she got defensive and accusatory, not giving us a straight answer. We tried to continue to talk to her to clarify the issue, but she angrily cut us off and stormed off to another table, while we were left confused. The host should never act so rudely to the customers, especially when we did nothing wrong. We ended up getting our dish back, but the waitress was very aggressive with us, which ruined the mood for the rest of the meal. This is truly unfortunate, that a restaurant with such tasty food has such rude workers. We will not be coming back.

Google
Service was very attentive, but not intrusive. The food was excellent, and served timely. A dining experience to replicate!

Yelp
I had this place a few weeks ago and damn it was so good, the sushi was so fresh and flavorful definitely recommend.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place being that I just moved next door. My overall issue was the customer service. I felt like I didn't belong. Every interaction I had with a server was very short. I felt like I was a nuisance. At first I thought maybe I was being a little sensitive but after observing customers who clearly frequent there get huge smiles and warm greetings I realized a pattern. I watched my food sit for a while until it was brought out after tables around me got theirs. Maybe it was an off day but definitely not a good impression. The interior is nothing special still quaint little place for sushi. I didn't order much but what I ordered was good. The only thing is the sauce that comes with the gyoza was salty. The M-80 roll I believe was fantastic. I would go back just for that!
google avatar

Natasha D.

Yelp
Pretty good option for sushi delivery. I had the Shrimp Killer II and an order of gyoza. The sushi had a very slight fishy taste which is the only reason it doesn't get five stars. I would order from here again.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Loved the food so fresh and new flavours were amazing. Simple rustic decor, easy to get to and lots of parking close to restaurant. Our party travelled an hour to try this restaurant and would totally go back.

Yelp
My overall visit to Yuzu Sushi was great. The location is easy to find with a parking lot available. The interior was clean and overall a nice ambiance. I ordered a salmon sushi dish, which tasted amazing. You can definitely notice the great quality of the food. I can't wait to try other items on the menu! The service was okay.

Yelp

Yelp
Love this roll! I recommend if you enjoy fresh, raw fish. I paired it with Miso Soup and Seaweed.

Yelp
Best sushi place by far! Love coming here regularly. Anna, the owner, makes you feel so invited. The entire team is great and I cant stop recommending this place to anyone that wants good food and ambiance. The crispy rice and the Japanese ceviche are the best in Atlanta!

Rob L.

Yelp
The best Sushi spot in Chamblee! I come here so often that they have my order memorized lol. The owners, management, and waiting staff are extremely friendly and happy to see you every time you visit and it makes me really happy when I talk with them. The food is delicious. I love the mixed sashimi and soft shell crab. The BSC is great and my favorite roll is the Albacore delight (it has a really good tang to it along with fried onions on top). Please come check them out, you will love it!

Yelp
Service was good food was delicious not chaotic like another nearby competitor, fresh and customizable rolls for those who need special diets

Yelp
I have never reviewed anything in my life before but this place was too good not to share!!! Great service, food, and ambiance! The owner was super sweet and my friend and I had a great conversation with her! My friend used to be a regular but life and school gets in the way and the owner immediately recognized her which I thought was so sweet. I got the Spicy Tuna with Rice Biscuit and the Green Special Tuna roll. It's so so good and I'm still thinking about it!! Even everything down to the miso soup and the salad and dressing. 10/10 super clean too!!
google avatar

Yelp
Nothing horrendous about this place but one has to be from another planet to rate this 5 stars. Semi-randown interior, way below average taste and forgetful service. Only good thing was easy parking

Yelp
Bottom Line: I would recommend this restaurant. Fish quality is good, prices aren't bad. Great flavor. I would come back. Atmosphere: Mid-light ambience. Classic piano music overhead. Very spacious and comfortable. Food: The Miso Soup is a staple at any sushi restaurant and is a big factor in my reviews. While the seaweed tasted very fresh, the tofu was a bit too firm for what I'm used to and the taste of the soup had this elevated level of sweetness that I wasn't entirely fond of. My Salmon Lemon Roll was great. The salmon tasted very fresh and was very tender. The shrimp tempura was cooked perfectly and the Lemon special Mayo that it was topped with complimented it very well. Only thing I didn't like was that there was a bit of lemon pulp on one of the pieces that made my face pinch. Overall, would recommend. My companion got the Dragon Roll. Great balance of ingredients. Service: We came an hour before closing. Our hostess seated us with a smile. Our waitress immediately brought us water and visited us at the perfect frequency to meet our needs without intruding on our experience. The food came out very quickly and she came with the bill while I only thought of it and not asked for it. Great service. Overall: Certain items can use some improvements but I see great performance, quality, and potential for this restaurant. I will definitely be back

Yelp
Highly underrated !! One of my favorite sushi places in Atlanta. The ambiance is cute and cozy. The servers are very attentive and kind. Their variety of rolls is immaculate. You can never go wrong with the spicy tuna on crispy rice !!

Yelp
Yuzu Sushi was okay. It didn't give me the wowing impression I was seeking. Plus with the high prices, I think this place is overrated. There was a good amount of folks coming and going within a couple of hours of them opening. But I think this place is more of a quick sushi sit down spot with high prices. The interior begs to differ, but that's my experience. Hey, not all reviews/experiences are winners. The positive thing I will say is that some of their menu items were quite unique. The B.S.C. (baked scallop over a California roll) was super delicious! The sashimi salad on the other hand was so so. The B.S.C. was unique in that the baby scallops were warm and creamy. The sauce really made a difference as it sat upon a California roll. I guess the creaminess of the scallops really amped up the basic California. This ended up being a hit with me. Though the sashimi salad was interesting. It somehow was just meh to me. There was about 6 (?) sashimi pieces. The garlic ponzu sauce was light, but it was also over a light bed of salad. I guess I somehow expected something else, something more grandeur. This pick just didn't provide the oohs and ahhs. I kind of had high hopes for the 911 roll. It sort of looked and tasted bland imo. Though the 911 sauce was different, the albacore, tuna, crab, salmon, and avocado were so so. If you think about it, these miniature pieces of fish were plain. I guess it falls in line with the "fresh" category but not so much "Yuzu Sushi Special Rolls." How special was it really?! I think the other roll we tried was the double tuna roll. This roll had a lot of frills, and there were lots of textures and flavors to be had. The red onion slices really stuck out in my mind as I'm trying to recall which roll we had. This roll was overall pretty good. I guess the spicy tuna and seared tuna made it more hearty. I get that sushi has their different types: fresh sashimi, plain jane rolls, and unique creations. But for 3 "special" rolls and a sashimi salad, the grand total with tip was around $70. The hubs and I left feeling kind of hungry and not really impressed (flavor/taste). Though it was still early dinner on a Friday, everyone seemed super rushed (like they will run you over if you don't move over fast enough). Maybe that has an affect on the fish's flavoring? Lol.

Yelp
The sushi was so fresh! We really loved the killer shrimp 1 roll. The service was ok, but the food made up for it. I also had the pickled cucumber salad that was super refreshing.

Irina G.

Yelp
We had an extremely pleasant dinner at Yuzu Sushi. Food was great: we tried Halibut Sashimi and couple fresh fish specialty rolls (Alaskan rolls and Green Spicy Tuna rolls), all were tasty. Good wine list (which is not traditional for Japanese restaurants) for those who like dinner with the drinks. Atmosphere was nice, spacy place with pretty interiors and quite piano background music. The service was impeccable, staff was helpful, attentive, and we felt really taken care of. We love this place and plan to come back. Irina

Yelp
This is not the freshest sushi I've had, but the service is friendly and the food is good. The salad and soup came with my meal. The meal was filling and def satisfied a sushi craving. On a Monday night, they were pretty quiet so that was nice for a solo dinner. The yuzu sake is delicious, and they gave me a brown paper bag to take the leftover sake home!

Brandon D.

Yelp
Freshest sushi in atl. But their sauce choices are questionable this one soy ish sauce the 911 sauce is super salty. And they use sesame sauce instead of spicy mayo which is good but I personally got tired of it after a while. Still quality of fish is top tier. Dishes were good but some were just salty because of the sauce choice. Service was solid. I went during the day so the ambiance was good ig.

Seller P.

Yelp
The chicken teriyaki is consistently cooked to perfection. The ginger dressing salad is tasty. The miso salad is always fresh. The sushi rolls are exquisite. The staff is extremely welcoming. They have a great ambiance.

Yelp
Unbelievablely good. Lots of unique dishes that I'd never seen at other places that were amazing. I've been to a lot of good sushi places, this one stands out. Prices aren't bad either.

Yelp
Cheers to trying new food spots. I was in the area and thanks to my Yelp friends, I found this sushi spot and placed a Togo order. My order was ready fairly quickly. They quoted me around 10 minutes and it was ready upon arrival. The sushi was nice, fresh, and really enjoyable. I will eat here but as a dine in next time to enjoy the experience.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Quiet with a pleasant ambience. The server was very patient and attentive.

Yelp
I would give this restaurant a 10 star if I could!! The sushi is fresh and delicious every time! The staff are very friendly and courteous the ambiance is very serene and pleasant! We looooooove this place

Yelp
really delicious and thoughtfully crafted rolls!! i have pretty hard standards to meet for sushi and this hit all the marks AND was fairly priced. definitely a new go to spot

Yelp
The food was spot on and the staff was incredibly friendly. I was surprised to see it not packed - people in the area really need to check this place out!

Yelp
We love Yuzu Sushi. It is our go to sushi spot. The owner is warm and welcoming. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious and fresh. They have the best Ikura and mixed tempura. We also love the Rainbow Crunch & Dynamite Rolls, Toro and Tuna Tartar. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The restaurant is cute and spacious. This will continue to be a go to for me and my family.
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
This place was just okay to me. The seaweed salad wasn't super fresh and when I tried one of friends roll (can't remember what they ordered), it had a fishy taste to it which implies it also wasn't that fresh. The crunch rainbow roll was pretty good, but tasted like cheddar popcorn lol. So if you like that flavor, you'll like the roll. My tuna tempura w/ Yuzu sauce was fine as well but anything exciting making me want to return tomorrow. This place is conveniently located and has free open parking.
google avatar

Jared W.

Yelp
Yuzu used to be one of my favorite sushi spots in the Atlanta area, but the quality seems to have gone down slightly. Fish is fresh, but a lot of the rolls lack much flavor if not heavily sauced, which I try to avoid. Their menu features a ton of crab salad rolls within the specialty roll section, so it can be hard to find good, fresh fish outside of the regular rolls. I have no problem ordering regular rolls, nigiri, and sashimi at sushi places, since that's what I love to eat, but the quality isn't high enough at Yuzu to really wow you. The service is usually fast, and the restaurant is rarely above half full.
google avatar

Tari O.

Yelp
Love finding a local haunt like Yuzu. Stopped by on a weekday for dinner for two. We enjoyed the seaweed salad,
google avatar

Emma H.

Yelp
We've now tried Yuzu three times, and the food is consistently good. High quality, freshly prepared and delicious. The service is sometimes a little slow when they're busy, but sitting at the counter is a good experience each time. It's quite a dimly lit, intimate atmosphere.
google avatar

Peggy X.

Yelp
We came in for dinner last week and really enjoyed our meal! We ordered seven rolls and one appetizer for a table of four. Most of the rolls were excellent: the Salmon Delight was particularly phenomenal, so good that we put in another order for it after one bite. Definitely order the soft shell crab, too -- it was delicious. I'd skip the 911 Roll. Overall, this is a solid sushi spot! The service was relatively prompt, despite the busy evening. Our only gripe is that we wish they had more variety in their roll options: they didn't have many choices with salmon, and the rolls are all on the heavier side. It's not the cheapest (the bill came out to ~$150 for four), but we'll definitely be back for the Salmon Delight.
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
The creamiest and freshest rolls - didn't even need to be sauced! The place was busy and worth waiting to be seated - the East coast really just did that I need a place like this in LA
google avatar

Jill M.

Yelp
I've passed by several times and wondered. Today I had a craving for sushi. As soon as I walked in I was asked if I place my order online. I had not. I was told that it would be better if I did and that it was gonna take a long time for my order to be ready.. yes those words almost verbatim. ( but yet I still wanted to order). I ordered the yellowtail roll and sushi tuna is -2 pieces. $16 later... I have my sushi favorite places and I admit I'm used to my sushi being served more cool than room temperature. Today's offerings were room temperature. Yellowtail roll was separated for me am I to go container. I've never seen that before I always see the wrong in the form of a roll but OK, I'm trying something new. Yellowtail inside seemed mushy. Not firm. That really was my only gripe. The restaurant was quiet, and seemingly clean. The person running the front door who greeted me, seemed very busy and overwhelmed. All in all, I say for meh.... Continued success.

Yelp
To date this is the best sushi I've had in Atlanta . Granted i have not been to too many places here in atl yet but i do know good sushi. Yuzu sushi is a bright, casual, relaxed atmosphere with minimal decorations. The food speaks for the place. The staff is very attentive and very friendly. And the fish is so so so fresh and delicious. We started with the Japanese ceviche which was delicious. I had never had tomato with sushi or Japanese prepared nigiri/sashimi before so i was a bit hesitant about it at first. But wow. The flavors and the ingredients were so fresh and the portion of fish was generous. We also got the chirashi which was an assortment of fish over a bed of rice. I would have preferred the fish just by itself , without the rice, honestly. The fish was fresh and although it didn't have any seasoning or accented sauces, it was so good that it didn't need anything. See picture! We then got three rolls too: the yellowtail, the crunch rainbow, and the double tuna. The crunch rainbow roll is amazing!!! All this food for less than $100 for two people. It was a wonderful meal and I cannot wait to be back and try all the other rolls and appetizers. Almost every item on their menu sounded delicious.

Yelp
Yuzu Sushi is solid. Currently, I think it's the best sushi restaurant in Chamblee. Among sushi restaurants, Yuzu falls below high-end, but is above typical strip mall sushi and many of those "Thai and sushi" joints. It's elevated casual. I think a good comparable restaurant in the Atlanta area is Wagaya (Westside, Decatur) and Doraku (Buckhead, RIP), and perhaps even Shoya (Doraville) and Ginya (Westside) Izakaya. If you like your sushi "authentic," which is what I prefer, meaning nigiri and not named rolls packed with a multitude of ingredients, then Yuzu should suffice. Of course, in this gentrified part of Chamblee, Yuzu offers quite the spread of "special" rolls as well. So, this place should satisfy both lovers of traditional sushi and those who enjoy Americanized sushi rolls too. Yuzu opened in June 2018 at the apartment community then known as Olmsted Chamblee and now known as The Oliver. There's plenty of free parking on-site. I believe this business is Korean owned and operated. The restaurant looks great. Very "modern Japanese," filled with medium to light toned wood, big windows (lots of natural light), and cool traditional Japanese artwork. The aesthetic is definitely more classic Japanese than hip and trendy sushi bar. Inside, the dining room looks fairly spacious. Outside, they have a fenced-in, string-lit, uncovered patio. I don't know of many sushi restaurants in Atlanta with a patio so that's definitely a plus here. Also, I say the patio is uncovered, but I did see one retractable umbrella during our visit. My wife and I loaded up on nigiri. Yuzu offers over two-dozen kinds of nigiri. While not among the most extensive nigiri menus in Atlanta, I'd consider Yuzu's nigiri offerings to be above average. For example, they offer fatty tuna belly (toro) and sea urchin (uni). And I know this isn't nigiri, but they have monk fish liver (ankimo, two pieces for $7.50) on the menu too. I noticed they have both "escolar" and "whitefish" listed, both priced at $5.50 for two pieces. The names are often synonymous with the same type of fish so we asked what the difference was. We were told the whitefish was "white tuna." White tuna is also synonymous with escolar and whitefish, so that didn't clear things up. We asked what the difference in taste was and were told the escolar was softer and, if I recall correctly, sweeter. The sashimi here is a different story compared to the nigiri. Yuzu's sashimi selection is limited to only the most basic fish: tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and albacore. Here's what we got: * Tuna roll - tekkamaki (eight pieces for $6.80) - Nigiri (two pieces per order) - * Tuna - maguro ($6.80) * Salmon - sake ($5.80) * Halibut - hirame ($5.80) * Octopus - tako ($5.00) * Mackerel - aji ($5.50) * Egg - tamago ($3.90) * Smelt egg - masago ($5.00) * Salmon egg - ikura ($6.90) * Surf clam - hokkigai ($5.00) * Japanese sea scallop - hotate ($6.80) * Freshwater eel - unagi ($6.50) * Fatty tuna belly - toro (seasonal price, $10.80) * Salmon with creamy onion tobiko ($7.80) I originally wanted to order monk fish liver and sea urchin, but unfortunately, they were out of both. In general, the sushi was fantastic. Yuzu's head sushi chef Kenny prepared our order. The quality of both the ingredients and the preparation were excellent. It was evident in both the look and taste of each piece of sushi. This wasn't run-of-the-mill sushi. This was high quality stuff, prepared the right way, and it was exactly what we were looking for -- tasty, satisfying, and authentic nigiri. One thing we noticed off the bat was how generous the portions were, especially for items like the toro, surf clam, and octopus. There was so much toro, it just swallowed up the sushi rice. There was so much clam and octopus, the chef gave us the ends (extra meat) like they were a garnish. Awesome. The serving of hokkigai was by far the biggest serving of hokkigai I've had to date (that I can remember). And it wasn't just quantity - the quality was there too. Everything was fresh and flavorful, with wonderful texture, from the soft, delicate layers of carefully-cooked tamago (sweet egg) to the melt-in-your-mouth scallop. While everything was good, if I had to pick favorites or recommendations, I'd go with the mackerel, egg, smelt egg, Japanese scallop, freshwater eel, toro, and salmon with creamy onion tobiko. The latter is unique and I want to say a chef Kenny specialty. There's not another nigiri on the menu like it. The mackerel comes with a sliver of something on top, I'm not sure what; sweetened kelp, perhaps? Whatever it is, it's good. The scallop came with green tobiko on top which I thought was a nice touch. We got our order to-go and the pieces were thoughtfully and beautifully presented. The masago and ikura were individually wrapped for transport. Miso soup was complimentary. Service was outstanding. Anna was our server. She was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Thank you, Anna and Kenny.

Yelp
Early dinner, had the restaurant to myself....pleasant. This little place is tucked away...probably wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it. Service - very attentive. Menu - a decentvariety, somewhat limited. Started with a cold sake and the mixed tempura. Such a light crispy batter on the tempura! Moved on the the Japanese ceviche....it was ok, not great. I wanted a bit more punch from the citrus Finished with the Shrimp Killer I roll.....good, nice balance of flavors with the spicy mayo and black tobiko Give Yuzu Sushi a try. Photos for context.

Yelp
We picked up Chirashi and a sashimi platter. The fish was fresh in both. The dinners also came with miso soup and a side salad. The salad dressing was very good and not your typical ginger dressing. The food was ready quickly and the takeout was attractively packaged. The inside of the restaurant looked nice if I ever eat inside a restaurant again.

Yelp
My favorite sushi spot. My husband and I moved 20 min away but still come back. Great food and service! Salmon Lemon roll is our absolute favorite
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Upon walking in, my first impression was that the air smelled like fish. Fresh sushi should not smell "fishy", but I decided to give this place a shot anyways. I ordered several nigiris and they did forget one of them. The quality of the fish did not taste great, but the price was fair and they did give large portion cuts for each nigiri. I also tried the lemon salmon roll and it was underwhelming too. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this sushi spot over others in the area.

Yelp
Excellent sushi! Wonderful customer service! Fantastic value! There are many sushi places in the Atlanta area but this is the casual one that we have been drawn to. Upon entering, we were immediately seated at tables that had hand sanitizers, given disposable cups to drink as we went through the menu. We ordered a lot of different Maki rolls, thinking that they would be a small portion but we were wrong. The rolls had plenty of fresh fish and we left feeling very satisfied. During our visit, we noticed that there were multiple Ubereats/Other customers and the owner greeted each person by name!

Yelp
If I can give an award for best sushi place in Atlanta located in Chamblee (Go Chamblee Charter High School Bulldogs *proud Alumni*) , then this place wins it. Everything about this place from the beautiful interior, fantastic service, presentation of the food, taste of the food, variety of the food, and so much more. If you are hungry for sushi, then please come here. Prices are pretty high, but sometimes you got to put in that extra money to get not only an improvement in quality, but also the non-sushi improvement factors. I think I ate most of menu in terms of sushi rolls in this place, and honestly you can't go wrong. Even the basic rolls, you can't go wrong. You will come out satisfied and happy. I love this place so much. I would recommend calling ahead to make sure there are openings and just book that reservation to avoid waiting. You can even call day of. I called 10 minutes before on a Friday night and fortunately got a reservation. Date Spot for sure. Y'all can thank me later hehe. Amazing place, amazing staff that greets you so friendly and genuinely, and positive vibes overall.

Yelp
LOVED yuzu sushi. It was casual, quiet, had great service, and the food was the best part. Honestly everything was top notch. We started with seaweed salad and edamame. Then for rolls, I got the yellowtail delight and the salmon lemon roll. Both were amazing but the salmon lemon roll was my favorite. My sister, who's pregnant, wanted a cooked roll and got the BSC and the California roll and loved both! She was super impressed with the BSC and was grateful for a cooked sushi roll that still was fresh and unique tasting. We will definitely be back in the future.

Yelp
We ordered take-out due to coronavirus. We called at 7:00 and they said it would be ready by 7:45, but it wasn't ready until 8:00. We got chicken teriyaki ($13.90), which comes with miso soup and side salad. I wasn't really a fan and wouldn't get it again. We got an extra miso soup ($2.00) and side salad ($2.50). The miso soup was small, but the salad was a decent size. The dressing for the salad was peanut-y and not the usual ginger dressing, which was a pleasant surprise. We also got the 911 Roll ($12.90) and Yellowtail Delight Roll ($16.50). Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but I wasn't too fond of either one. This was our second time eating Yuzu Sushi. In my opinion, there are better sushi places in the area, so we will not be ordering again.

Yelp
I hate writing this review but Yuzu has really gone downhill since it's opening a several years ago. This used to be by far my favorite sushi spot and had great prices and high quality. Unfortunately, the restaurant has pivoted hard into catering to the UberEast/DoorDash/Delivery crowd and has not increased staff accordingly. As such, if you come, expect to wait over an hour to be served your food. The last few times we went I wondered if the wait/chef staff forgot we were at the restaurant. Our sushi has even come out luke warm on occasion, meaning it had been prepared and sat before expediters realized it was our. Meanwhile, they are getting massive throughput through the delivery channels and I'm sure turning quite a good profit there. The food quality and prices are still OK but wait times are unacceptable at this point for me. You can go to a place like The One instead for similar prices and better service.

Yelp
Yuzu sushi is located near the Chamblee apartment building, the Oliver, where there are lots of parking spaces. I've been to Yuzu sushi twice for lunch because it is close to my work and really like this place! It is quiet and the service is usually on point. I've gotten the #1 (6 pc sushi + CA roll) and #4 (spicy tuna tartar + 3pc sushi + 4 pc CA roll) on the lunch specials menu. Both give you a lot of food, so make sure you come hungry or be ready to take your CA rolls home. The fish are fresh and delicious, but with nigiri and rolls, it can feel like too much rice. I enjoyed the ambiance here (nicely decorated and not too loud) and would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Quality, fresh, delicious sushi/rolls. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was great. My only complaint would be waiting time to receive food.

Yelp
My, my, my ... how long it's been since I've had the amazing sushi that Kenny & David put together. Formerly Sushi Mania, Yuzu Sushi is owned by Anna & Kenny and is in a revitalized section of Chamblee on Chamblee-Tucker Rd. I had not been able to find where they moved to until recently so I was BEYOND ecstatic to plan a trip here. I met my friend here, and assured her ahead of time she'd love the sushi. The new place is soooo nice with a touch of modern and Japanese ambiance. Semi-romantic with mood lighting as well. It was like a homecoming walking in and seeing Anna, Kenny and David. So happy for them! So, my friend basically just ordered everything I did and we shared some rolls. We started off with the miso soup (which was perfect), and a large hot sake. We then ordered two hand rolls: spicy salmon and spicy tuna. GET those! They are some of the best. I then ordered the "David Roll", which is something David used to make for me. He actually remembered it and it was amazing! Picture included. I let my friend order the next roll but she was struggling so I played Steve Nash and gave her an assist. We got the yellowtail jalapeño roll. Fresh, amazing, perfect ... GONE! Service was great and we pretty much stayed there for 3 hours enjoying everything. Chamblee, you lucky SOB's, you got a nice sushi gem in your backyard! I'm jealous, I'm envious, I'm now starving and I'm coming back!
