The London Halal Breakfast & Brunch Guide

"Shepherd’s Bush isn’t lacking options when it comes to halal Lebanese restaurants and bakeries. But if you’re only going to try one, it should be Zeit & Zaatar. This little spot on Uxbridge Road has been specialising in mana’eesh for over a decade, and it shows. They’ve got all the classics like za’atar and labneh and halloumi, as well as some Z&Z specialties like basterma with cheese, and cheese and honey. You can’t go wrong with a classic lahm beajin or spinach, and you should always ask for some cheese on them." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley

The 24 Best Cheap Eats In London

"Zeit & Zaatar in Shepherd’s Bush has been specialising in mana’eesh for over a decade, and it shows. They’ve got all the classics like zaatar and labneh, and halloumi, as well as some Z&Z specialties like basterma with cheese, and cheese and honey. Most of them come within the £3 to £5 range and you can’t go wrong with a classic lahm beajin or spinach. We like to ask for some cheese on them, because... well... melted cheese." - jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The Best Restaurants Near London Tourist Attractions

"Near: Westfield White City We know, we know. Referring to Westfield as a tourist attraction could be classed as an act of treason, but London is a city equally known for its shopping as it is for its gloomy weather. So a trip to a shopping centre is probably on the cards. Avoid the seat-yourself hellhole that is the food court, and walk 10 minutes to Zeit & Zaatar. This quiet bakery on Uxbridge Road has been specialising in mana’eesh—Lebanese flatbreads—for over a decade. The calm cafe is the antithesis of the chaotic three-floor shopping centre you just left, and the food is significantly better. Our favourite is the classic lahm beajin, or the cheese and honey if we’re craving something a little sweet." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing
