"Z Burger’s the type of place you’ll find yourself going to one too many times to grab a cheeseburger and to try one of the 50+ milkshake flavors like pomegranate and blueberry crumble. Everything on the menu is halal. There’s a nostalgic and endearing feel to the space that reminds us of one of those old-school fast food joints that had colorful graphics and playful designs. Expect booth seating and outdoor tabletops for when the weather’s nice. For food, pair your sandwich with the onion rings, roughly the size of your head and crispy fries that overflow from the container. photo credit: Nina Palazzolo photo credit: Nina Palazzolo photo credit: Nina Palazzolo photo credit: Nina Palazzolo" - Omnia Saed

Google
Have been eating here since they opened as live in the neighborhood. While the food is very good, the “game” at the cash register is tiring. An additional fee is automatically added on for service and packaging even when eating inside the restaurant. When I questioned it not too long after the location opened, I was first told that it is a “glitch” in the system and that it was to be fixed soon. Next time when we came by the fee was still there and the cashiers said they can now remove it if asked but one has to do so “before” the order is complete. So if you are telling them what you want on a sandwich and then they hit the total key you are out of luck. Since then it is a 50/50 chance if they will remove it even when you tell them you are eating in. Registers can be easily programmed to either add or delete a fee as needed. Assume the ownership has not removed it as most customers don’t catch it. The fee is also based on a numerical dollar amount matrix and not the total of separate menu items ordered as by adding bacon to the sandwich the cost went up which in turn raised the fee. Here is a receipt from today even though I clearly told the cashier I was not taking the food to go. Oh well…. Edit 9/24…. Still eating here regularly with the food still very good but realized two things today while trying to place an online take out order for pick up. Placing an order through ANY of the multitude of order service providers listed on their website results in a significantly higher amount for the items. Better to call the store directly to place the order if you are planning to pick up the items yourself. Saved $6 plus dollars by just calling the order in. Also, they serve Pepsi, not Coke products though the order menu lists Coke items for sale…..

Our son saw the sign and was curious about veggie options. He asked for it as a Friday treat and the staff at the bethesda location were so great. They were warm and friendly. They were accommodating and engaging. The fries were huge value for money too ha

Google
i get food here at least once a month, its a hit or miss. either the burgers are delicious or it's a ball of grease with little flavor. the most recent (12/20) time i ordered 4 burgers and my boyfriend was halfway done with his before he pulled a piece of hair out of his mouth. I knew it wasn't my hair because i don't have dark hair. When i called he said the manager wasn't there and they could make me another burger, why would i want another burger?? i wasn't offered a refund but instead a "restaurant credit" not eating from here anymore.

Google
Unseasoned burger with no meaty flavor and undercooked fries. Honestly wtf are their tomato slices. I do like their Zsauce with crab cakes tho.

Google
Arlington location. Ordered the single burger with bacon, lettuce and two onion rings on the side and french fries. Bun was soft and the patti was great. Service was great and not sure why the rating is low . I would go back to the Arlington location.

Google
It's expensive for a burger joint.I must say. We spent $75 for 3 burgers, 3 orders of fries, and three concrete ice cream desserts. While the burgers were amazing, and the fries homemade and crisp, the frozen desserts were extremely small for the $8 that they cost. I really could only justify going back here if it's 2vor 3 in the morning. If I'm going to spend $75 for 3 orders of burgers, fries, and frozen ice cream, then I really expect way more than a take-out joint with homeless people in front of it.

Google
Best food ever in my entire life I love this food so much. Very good prices and best customer service in the world don’t think any establishment could top this place.

Google
I asked for a Oreo shake, you only get 1-2 cookie crumbs if that. The lady at the front had an attitude. Also tried delivery before, the gave me a chicken sandwich rather than the burger. I think this is my last time come here. NOT SATISFIED

Yelp
Thought I ordered Uber Eats 9:45pm delivery from Olney location - showed as 10 minute delivery time on Uber Eats. I want delivery food to not be cold, so I opt for nearby, if possible. Somehow order was redirected to Bethesda location. Arrived 11pm. Milkshake melted. Onion rings sitting in a pool of oil in the bottom of delivery bag. Bag soaked with oil. Could hardly believe it how much standing, pooled oil there was! Onions rings were cold, horribly greasy, & soggy. Burgers were cold too but not inedible except for the wanna-be American cheese that I burped up long into the night. Ugh. I will need to be more careful when placing UE app orders, & skip the cheeseburgers & onion rings from this place.

Yelp
Hamburgers are ok. Cheesesteak is good. Fries are really greasy. BUT watch your receipt! They layer in an extra "service and packaging" charge which comes to 6% of your order. When I asked about it, the cashier said it was for bags which we all know are regulated price by the county. So when I kept asking for that to be refunded back to me they said they could not because it's an automated charge. Then I got really upset as I just felt like I was being taken advantage of and everybody sale would have this in there. Well that's when they called a manager and they explained the situation. I didn't even have to talk to the manager who instructed the staff to pay me back in cash the service charge. They think they can just get away with it and it looks like they do. Its pretty annoying and really bad business to rob your customers and take advantage like that. This is not even about the food which is alright and more akin to late night after drinks type of food. This is more about how they have institutionalized theft from customers. Do you want to go to a place like that?

Yelp
First thing's first. I LOVE Z Burger. Places that still make handmade, freshly battered onion rings are disappearing. The fries are also hand-cut and delicious. Burgers are great, milkshake choices seemingly endless. This location has even better onion rings than Tenleytown location. Five star food and service. PLEASE TIP GENEROUSLY AND IN CASH. #DCGourmet explains: So why a 4 star review? The company keeps the tips given by credit card sale. That's a horrible thing to do to hardworking staff, especially for already expensive food. Shame, shame.

Yelp
I arrived 35 minutes before close, waited 10 minutes in line, watched the party before me get served and was told they wouldn't serve me because "we're gonna close soon." I wish I hadn't walked 15 minutes and counted on them serving me for dinner. I'm going to sleep hungry.

Yelp
I finally tried this place and got a cheeseburger and the half fries half onion rings. I wish the fries and onion rings came in a smaller size because it was enough to feed a family of five. Food was great and I would recommend!

Yelp
Burger was good, fries are plentiful, staff was friendly, and service was pretty quick.

Yelp
First of all, we paid $40 for 2 burgers and a frings basket-highly overpriced. As many of the other reviews have noted, upon receiving the order, the order was wrong. The food was okay, albeit incorrect. When we called back to discuss this with the restaurant, they stated they were sorry and that "there's nothing they could do." With that kind of customer service, I wouldn't really recommend this establishment.

Yelp
The food is decent but the service is just so slow. I have been here twice and it wasn't busy but my order took 15 minutes for a shake and a burger. The staff seems disorganized and unable to handle more than one or two orders at a time.
