Couldn't send a photo with the entire pizza, but we just finished an 8 hr road trip from Zion. We arrived before they were closing and the guy made us whatever we wanted fresh!!!!! They have amazing garlic rolls and the margarita was made special the way our teenagers liked it. What a WIN!!!! SUPER NICE AND GREAT SERVICE!!!! THANK YOU ZA!!!!

Google
Busy place, friendly service. Pretty loud atmosphere. Self-serve water, napkins, etc. Counter service, but they deliver your order to your table. Staff seems passionate about their craft, and all were working very hard. Crust was delicious, as were the toppings. Sauce needs some zing, too bland. Garlic knot was oily, bland and no garlic taste, but nice and soft and pretty. Salad was absolutely delicious and fresh, a nice portion. We would definitely come back if we're in town again!

Google
Fantastic New York style pizza in Glenwood Springs. The entire family loved it. Darn good meatball sub too. One of the best I've had. The employees were all super friendly too and if that's not enough, you get to eat delicious food while looking at a mountain backdrop. So glad we stopped here on our ski trip.

Mia P

Google
Very popular location for locals to grab a bite. Great crust on this pizza. Lots of toppings. A bit oily for my taste.

We unknowingly committed the cardinal sin of walking in here just a few minutes before they were supposed to close and placed an order for dine in that included a couple of beers. If we didn’t realize it on our own, they would have never said anything about it at all and let us stay all night, I think. They served us a second round of beers before we figured it out, with smiles on their face. We’ll be back here every time we’re in town for sure - and hey, the food is fantastic too!

Google
We tried a bunch of different pizza by the slice. Our favorites were the deep dish pepperoni and stromboli. Would definitely go back!

Lucas Garza Jr.

Google
Pizza was very good, we bought it by the slice because we were too hungry to wait. If we would have ordered a fresh pizza I’m confident I could have given 5 stars!

Google
Amazing local, hometown place that made the best New York Style I may have ever had! My husbsnd is a pizza fanatic, and he was also very impressed. We had the 18in New York Style All the Way (yes we kept the anchovies and I'm so glad we did) . Crust was just the right thin- thickness with just enough to add flavor You must try this made to order goodness when in Glenwood Spgs CO.

Austin L.

Yelp
The pizza is one of the best pizzerias I've ever been to. They're Stromboli are awesome. They're pineapple. Pizza is amazing. Their service is amazing. Everyone is so kind. I love this place. The seats are very high and low, but overall they're pretty nice.

Sara N.

Yelp
Came here because the hibachi I lace closed down. The pizza and calzone were amazing even reheated the next day. The staff were really friendly. The kitchen boss (owner??) was more than happy to wrap up our leftovers. My only real gripe with the place is one of the kids had shaggy hair behind the counter and it wasn't put up. I've had enough food in my hair and worked in restaurants for years that it bothers me to see. It wasn't unkempt or anything, it just bothers me. But next time I'm in town I will go back again

Yelp
We were looking for NY style pizza and ZA pizza represented this perfectly. The environment was very "local" feeling which was a nice touch to the fast paced environment. The food came out quickly and surpassed our initial expectations. We were both set on individual slices but went with a "small" which was 14" which was plenty for myself and my life partner. From the crust, homemade ranch, to the drink it was all an enjoyable experience.

James C.

Yelp
Wanted a quick place to get a few slices after a day of hiking and this really hit the spot. Had a decent selection of slices even at 7PM, loved the Maiden playing when walked in. Staff was quick and efficient. Got two different slices and two garlic knots. Really loved the knots (side marinara could be better), and the slices were good as well. A good option if you're tired of the typical Subway/Dominos etc fast food and are feeling too tired for a long meal at a sit down restaurant.

Karianne C.

Yelp
Looking for the best subs? My favorite is always the turkey. I've been coming here for 15 years and it never disappoints! My husband had the Italian focaccia and it was the best sub he's had in a while !

Marla M.

Yelp
Za Pizza is the place if you're in the mood for a slice. They are friendly, consistent with their service and your wait time. Typically have NY style slice options +more (Sicilian, Stromboli, etc.) The Greek salad is a nice accompaniment to any of the prior. You also get to listen to good music while you wait. Honestly tonight I had their seasonal peaches/pulled pork/jalapeño/feta slice with BBQ sauce and it was SO delicious I felt compelled to write this review. TIP: pay in cash ~tip the staff~

John C.

Yelp
NOPE! Do you have this? NOPE! Do you have that? NOPE! Do you have anything on YOUR menu or do you just like being loud and annoying? Walked out after 3 loud nopes when trying to order. What a jabronie

Nettifer W.

Yelp
This place was laid back. The owner was great and super nice. It was nice to just grab a slice of pizza instead of committing to a whole pizza. The pizza was delicious and the garlic balls were so good we bought more!

Paul L.

Yelp
Great slice. Hot and crispy. Only thing is that meatballs aren't offered as a topping. There are meatball subs so maybe add meatballs to the toppings and would give 5 stars.

Thomas S.

Yelp
The best meatball sub ever...perfect bread...crusty outside, warm and tender inside. Jimmy's homemade meatballs. The absolute best marinara sausage ever, savory, not sweet. Can't wait to try the sun with the Italian sausage from Chicago. Jimmy, Jenny, and staff were the best hosts with the best dad jokes ever.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Tasty food does not make up for the AWFUL service. Seems like the employees try to be kind but the sour puss manager (pray she's not the owner because WOW) will make it hard to come back. Lovely welcome to the city...

Marcos M.

Yelp
I traveled to Colorado this spring to see the Rocky Mountain. I was craving some genuine New York style pizza and found myself at Za Pizzeria. I was quickly attended by Jim and Jen. They mentioned that they're the owners and I was very pleased with my order. The place itself is located in a nice area, with the interior displaying lots of unique and awesome snowboards and skis.

Veronica L.

Yelp
Is this the MOST GORGEOUS Calzone you have ever seen?! (See Pic.) And it's so light and delicious. Usually Calzones are very doughy and feel like a brick in your stomach after you eat even half of it. Za's Calzone is substantial yet the crust is like a delicate pastry. DELISH!!! And the service is excellent!!! We LOVE Za!!!

Nurse N.

Yelp
Damn good pizza!! Got a slice and ohmygoodness.... Crust is not to thick, not to thin, and crunchy at the end... delicious!!!

Nikki S.

Yelp
The pizza is a solid 3.5, I enjoyed it and it was good, however the Gyros? That alone will put this place out of business. It is the nastiest quality for lamb I've ever put near my mouth. I've had better gyros out of a roach coach in Denver on 16th street. It was deli sliced Lamb, it looked like they popped it in the microwave really quick to heat it up. This is not a Greek restaurant, ZA better stick to the pizza. Customer service was solid, delivery guy was very kind.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
GREAT SPOT! Love the margherita pizza... hands down the best I have had. The staff is great... the food is great... you can't go wrong here!

Darren S.

Yelp
I've been eating here for years, love the food, always had great customer service until today. Horrible experience on the phone with the owner. Yeah, you were busy, but your phone skills suck. I tried to talk to you when I came to pick our food and your answer to me was "toughen up" wow, really? I had no idea you were busy when I called, or that you had a restaurant full of people. Regardless, that's no excuse for talkin shit over the phone because I couldn't tell if you were talking to me or someone else and I asked "hello?". Maybe put someone on hold? You had an opportunity to salvage the situation, but apparently being "tough" is more important than losing the business of several long time customers. Your choice, there's other pizza in town that's just as good. This is customer service 101 and you failed.

Barry H.

Yelp
Fantastic. Friendly staff, great pizza. Stopped in on my way from Denver to SLC. Couldn't have been happier.

Hamilton F.

Yelp
Terrible service don't know how people eat here they kicked me and my sister out of the store for no apparent reason don't not recommend this place at all

Barry M.

Yelp
Called to order a pizza delivery. The kid answering the phone must have a hearing problem. Had to go somewhere else.

Ryan R.

Yelp
I convinced the wife we needed to pick up local pizza on our journey, and ZA did not disappoint. Good crust, good sauce, ample cheese. Will be back on future venture!

Kin S.

Yelp
Excellent pizza and cheese bread! We ordered from here on a whim while in town for a mini vacation. Good service and quality pizza.

Tim D.

Yelp
I was very happy with the service from the order to the delivery. There was a closer pizza joint but I have this place a go and it was great. Supper great crust I'll be thinking about out for awhile.

Javier P.

Yelp
An incident happened at the pizzeria za, my kids were told that they were not allowed to eat there after ordering food, while they waited for their mom to pick they up. The staff should work on treating the customers with the decency they deserve(respect) no matter their age, or race.

Dan W.

Yelp
Moved away from the area, and ZA is probably the thing my wife and I miss the most. Dam Jimmy, no one can make a pizza like you guys - you set the bar for us comparing slices out here on the west coast.

Kiera M.

Yelp
Dude literally touched both slices of pizza with his bare hands. No gloves and no mask either

Barbara K.

Yelp
Perfect bread, perfect sauce, perfect meat. Everything is made from scratch. We had a meatball sub and an eggplant sub and they were excellent. Since we grew up in New York we know our Italian food. Even my picky husband gave it 5+ *****. Also, the owner came out to chat. He was extremely nice, we discussed his background and ours and what we like to do. He stayed open late to accommodate us. The servers were also very pleasant. Atmosphere is very casual and extremely pleasant. I strongly recommend that you eat here. You'll love it.

Nat S.

Yelp
I have had pizza here twice. I love all the slice and other fast options. They have a couple beers on draft. The name recently changed, but it is still the same solid family recipes. They are closed Sundays, which is usually the day we are relaxing in the springs. I highly recommend this place. A friend I worked with at an Italian restaurant brought me here the first time I went. They are pretty fussy about their ancestral foods, and if they endorse it then I would take their word for it.

Michelle G.

Yelp
Father's Day Weekend we need food delivered to our hotel! Guy who answers the phone was super fun to order with! We get our delivery in a breeze, exactly in the time she said. The pizzas were PERFECT NY Style!!! Flavorful and fulfilling! Thanks y'all for making our trip yummy!

Jim C.

Yelp
The atmosphere is definitely nothing nice, it was a kind of place that high school kids go for their lunch break. But it wasn't crazy, the service was amazing, the pizza was OK. The Alfredo sauce had a bit too much Basil in and tasted more like a pesto in our opinion. Good food, good service, I would come here again. The management and the employees really seem to care and they were very nice! We did think it would be hard to bring a group here. OK for kids, but not if your party is more than five or six people. Food: B+ Atmosphere C- Staff: A+

Tory K.

Yelp
Nice find! Get pour size on wine and beer. We ended up ordering a cheese and a pepperoni pizza. It was huge and well made. We will visit again on our way through.

Brian L.

Yelp
I was in town for work, thought some slices would be good. Found this place and I am glad. Really nice slices, great flavor and great sizes for the price. Paired it with a beer, and it was on point. Great staff, good location, cool place, if I am in town again, I am stopping in. Nice job!!

Pete Antonio O.

Yelp
Definitely stop if you're in the area!!! I've had pizza pretty much all over...including Chicago and NYC...this place is right up there with the best! One of the best Stromboli I've ever had! The guys are cool and the atmosphere is perfect!

S W.

Yelp
I am picky about my pizza. Not too many places know how to make a good Scillian crust. Typically the middle is soggy and undercooked. Not so at ZA. My entire family gorged themself on the pizza!

Kristin V.

Yelp
ZA is so amazing! The people are friendly, the prices are reasonable, there is delicious pizza, great beers, and it's always so clean. I swear, I'd eat off the bathroom floor if I happened to drop a sausage roll in the bathroom. Top notch. And they always play the best music! I never regret a moment spent at ZA, and I highly recommend it if you like affordable pizza served by lovely people in a sanitary setting.

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Perfect New York style pizza. The staff were very fun. Definitely great place for some Zuh or Za depending on how you pronounce it (head nod to James Franco / Pete Davidson skit on SNL).

Ivan G C.

Yelp
Best place in town, great service, amazing food. I tried this place two night in a row, grab a beer and enjoy.

Nancy R.

Yelp
Fun fun fun...absolutely awesome pizza..my daughter brought her Girl Scout Troop..they loved everything. The thin crispy crust on the Margarita pizza is amazing...the marinera sauce probably the best ever..all the girls went crazy for it...wish Peppino's was in Greeley too!

Karen K.

Yelp
Seriously though, it's really good! We are tourists today, browsing Yelp we came across Pepino's. We were not disappointed. I had a slice of the magarita and my hubby had an "all the way" slice. Both slices had most generous portions of their toppings. The slices are BIG and the crust was the perfect mix of good dough and pizza oven crisp. And the sauce! Hmmmmm! More salty than sweet and very good. So if I'd thought about it more, I would have known we didn't really NEED to share a meatball sub, but I'm pretty happy we did! House made bread and meatballs and the CHEESE! Sweet Lord the cheese! No skimping her folks! The staff was real friendly and quick. There was one guy who was REALLY LOUD. Turns out he was the owner ... might want to crank it down a few decibels buddy. Also, the music wasn't great but hey, we're kinda old so ... A great canolli would have been a perfect end to the meal. They don't have dessert that I can tell. Maybe just some honey to dip our crusts in?? Just a thought. Eat here. It's good.

Courtney W.

Yelp
I had an excellent slice of pizza and an excellent sausage roll with a marinara dip at Peppino's. It's very much a family affair atmosphere where both the owners and the patrons seem to be well connected with each other in the community. The guy that runs the shop checked on me and called me by my first name several times while I dined in, even though this is more of a carry-out, pay first kind of place. I'm sad I was just passing through town and can't get my fix from Peppino's more often.

Mark F.

Yelp
Awesome pizza! Have had it twice. Crispy crust, and the chocolate chip cookies are the best. If you're in Glenwood Springs stop by!

Amba J.

Yelp
The staff was super helpful with putting together a vegan pizza for me (no cheese was mentioned several times), but when it arrived it was totally covered in cow puss.

Megan F.

Yelp
We stopped at Za's on the way into Denver and it was the most authentic New York style pizza around! We ordered the Calzone and it was incredible! The best calzone we've ever had! They use top notch ingredients and cook with such passion and you can taste it in their food! The staff was extremely nice always anticipating our needs always going above and beyond making sure their customers are satisfied! We wish this was closer to us, however, we know if we are ever back in the area we will be eating here! You can tell the owner has many connections with the locals and they seem to be frequent flyers! I would be too if this pizza place was by me! Thank you for a great experience!

Ty Y.

Yelp
Wow. My buddy & I accidentally piped in here. What a treat!!! Jim & Tyler treated us like locals. But besides that, the food was amAZing. We had the turkey foccacia & Papino. Off the charts!!! It was so good, we went back and had a slice of pizza, can't suggest this place enough if you're riding through.

Raffi K.

Yelp
Popped into this place because I was craving a slice. I like the fact that the dough is made on site and is very tasty. There pizza is very good along with their bread knots. I'm visiting from CA and sad that this will probably be the only time I'll eat here. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. Thanks for a great lunch!

Amy S.

Yelp
An ok pizza place - pizza was good but nothing spectacular. They had a few beers on draft for those that like beer with their pizza. I will probably try another pizza place next time in town. If you like 'traditional' pizza and not looking for anything fancy than this is a descent place.

Scott H.

Yelp
Good pizza and beer. We stopped here en route to Aspen and had an enjoyable dinner. Pizza is thin-crust, not particularly chewy like Neapolitan would be, more crispy, classic American style. They had two local beers on tap (Roaring Fork). I had an oatmeal IPA, which was very good. So good that I had to have another. At $4.50 a pint, there's no need for restraint. This would probably be closer to a solid 3 stars where I'm from. But the guy behind the counter was friendly, the beers gave me a warm feeling, and I'm inclined to grade on a location-based curve, so four stars it is.

Robb R.

Yelp
Was there Friday night. The pizza was pretty good, the service was pretty bad. The staff didn't seem to care much about the customers. They didn't set expectations around how long the food would take, help answer our questions, or even smile. Add that to giving us the wrong food (and not giving us a chance to say something before running back to the kitchen) and three stars is fairly generous here.

Ben M.

Yelp
If you want eat a nice pizza, come here, and you will get what you need. We order full pie, but you can also order decent slices sizes,
