"Shepherd’s Bush isn’t lacking options when it comes to Lebanese restaurants and bakeries. But if you’re only going to try one, it should be Zeit & Zaatar. This little spot on Uxbridge Road has been specialising in manakeesh for over a decade, and it shows. They’ve got all the classics like zaatar and labneh, and halloumi, as well as some Z&Z specialties like basterma with cheese, and cheese and honey. What’s more, most of them come within the £3 to £5 range. You can’t go wrong with a classic lahm beajin or spinach, and we like to ask for some cheese on them, because... well... melted cheese. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Rianne Shlebak

“I had an incredible experience at Zaatar W Zeit! The food was absolutely amazing—everything was fresh out of the oven, bursting with flavor, and cooked to perfection. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the care they put into their dishes really shines through. I loved how warm and comforting the food was; it felt like a true treat. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure that I had everything I needed throughout my visit. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal. If you’re looking for a place that combines delicious food, outstanding service, and a relaxed vibe, Zaatar W Zeit is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back and try more items on their menu!”

I went to Dearborn hoping for amazing Lebanese food and that’s exactly what I got. This place was small but super hospitable as the Lebanese people are. The food was amazing, service amazing, experience amazing. Just good food and people. We got a Lahme (meat) pie, 2 cheese pies (Akawi Lebanese sweet cheese and mozzarella), a keshek pie (dry yogurt) a zaatar pie, drinks and more. The price was more than affordable and the portions were big. I loved this place and so did my fiancé and parents! Made them feel at home back in Lebanon.

Yum! Let’s save best for last, so first, the workers were so nice and friendly. So the best part comes… the food! I never tried a manoushe that had such good tasting. The cheese and Zateir that was soooooo good that came in pizza form! The meat sides were delicious and crunchy and the bread on the manoushe was also super crunchy.( Note, this place is all halal). I was so impressed by this and the place and it isn’t very recognizable. So it’s a hidden gem🙃

Google
Simply the best, not only in michigan, but in the entire nation. Mashallah this place exceeds the expectations. Very nice people, very tasty food. Its a must visit if you love manakeesh. Thier zaatar and jibne, jibne and sujuk, 10/10. They have saj as well. Simple, small place with authenticity brought from home. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for some breakfast after a long road trip and it hit the spot. Got a bunch of different manaeesh including plain cheese, cheese + zaatar, cheese + sujook, and plain zaatar. All of them were really good and complimented with some labneh. My personal favourite would have to be the cheese + sujook. Would definitely come back for some solid breakfast at a great price.

Google
Only Jreesh in town! Jreesh is a delicate whole wheat dough. I’d like to get the Ikawi and Zaatar Jreesh pie, they are must try. The staff are really friendly. They sell the dough as well so you can make your own pie at home. I wish they would open another location in West Deerborn. Interior was remodeled summer of 2024.

Google
This place is a real gem for authentic breakfast food and pastries. Although it’s a very small bakery, it is definitely unlike others! The dough is just the right thickness, thin and well baked. The manakeesh with extra Zaatar (ground thyme with sesame seeds) are my favorite. The veggie egg oven baked bread is equally tasty. Spinach and meat pies are also delicious. I highly recommend this bakery!

Yelp
Great spot for معجنات The cheese was good Zaatar is also if you're a zaatar fan but my favorite was the beef I highly recommend This is more of a to-go spot not really a place to sit down

Yelp
Stopped and tried the Kafta and cheese pie. For $5 it was pretty big and filling and very delicious. Staff are friendly. Menu and seating are fairly limited but food is very good.

Yelp
Tasty food and friendly staff! I recommend! I had the pita with veggies on it (kind of a special order) and it was great.

Yelp
10/10 everything! Visiting Dearborn and might be my favorite spot during the whole trip. Each manakesh was amazing but my favorite was the sujuk. Service was also amazing, hospitable and so kind! You must stop by!

Yelp
This place was real good! Everything was made fresh to order. If you are in the mood for some traditional manakeesh in the Dearborn Mi area this Is the place. I took one star away because of the Indoor seating area. We got cheese, cheese with meat, and cheese with Zaatar. But the owner was nice and accommodating.

Yelp
Love this place! Super friendly staff, looks small but has room to eat there, and their za'atar sesame cheese pies are amazing

Yelp
From 2 years ago Yelp deleted hundreds of my reviews. Amazing Collection of Baked Goodies. A new place for Middle Eastern desserts, appetizers and pies is open for business on Warren Avenue in Dearborn. A Super selection of unique flavorful Middle Eastern Baked goods with fast friendly service as this area's newest bakery which makes this a must stop each time I'm in the area. Be sure to join their Facebook pages for updates The bakery serves spinach and meat pies, jelly pies, pepperoni, broccoli, and spinach rolls, chocolate rolls, Lebanese sausages (makanek), and Sambousek (a fried stuffed pastry), among other items.

Yelp
I This place is something special. It feels like eating in Lebanon. Everyone who comes in to speak in Arabic and it's very family oriented you think you're back home. I love that you definitely have to have their pies. Their zaatar is something special.

Dan A.

Yelp
Hole in the wall bakery that dishes out great pies. We tried turkey w/ cheese, plain cheese and of course their namesake zaatar with cheese. Among these zaatar was our least favorite but still pretty good. Honestly I would have loved a bit more zaatar as the cheese mellowed its flavor. Maybe next time i will try plain zaatar

Eve H.

Yelp
Manouche is delicious. The dough is not thick which makes for a lighter meal. Service is very friendly. Better than the bigger and better know Arabic bakeries. You will not be disappointed.

Abe F.

Yelp
There's a middle eastern bakery on every corner of east Dearborn. This one is the best. Small "hole in the wall" place. Most bakeries reheat items they already cooked. These guys make every pie fresh. Can't beat it.

Yelp
I stopped by this morning to pick up breakfast, the food were amazing, freshly baked, I ordered few different items, and I was completely satisfied with all, loved the meat pies and Zaater and cheese pies, going back there again tomorrow for some more

Mark J.

Yelp
I would have to say this is now my favorite breakfast spot. Authentic middle eastern breakfast prepared to perfection every time. Reminds me of my visits with my grandfather when I was younger, taste exactly like the restaurants in Lebanon. Thumbs up!

Yelp
Great service, food, and management!! Was a little confused on what I wanted to order but they were very friendly and showed me there variety of food and choices!!!

Amoulee C.

Yelp
One of my favorite bakeries. Everything is always fresh and the employees are super sweet. I'm picky about my cheese manoushi (cheese pie). I don't like the bread so thick that I can't taste the cheese and I definitely don't like places that cheat and put a bit of cheese on a lot of bread and this place does it just how I like it. Bonus tip: get akawi cheese on mashrouha (very thin &crispy)bread. Yummo!!

Yelp
Been here many times, it's tiny (only 4 little tables) but the people are very friendly and the food crazy delicious! Be sure to try the Veggie with Cheese pie on their special "Jeerish" in English it's called "Groat" (a hulled or crushed grain! esp. Oats). It's airier, slightly sweeter with way more flavor than the regular crust and don't miss the tiny one bite, thin crust spinach pies too!

Ruby A.

Yelp
Really great service. Staff is very friendly. It's better to order and take to go because there is few tables and limited seating...HOWEVER, we were a fairly large group and they quickly rearranged the tables to comfortably accmmodate us. We ordered a few different pies. My favorite was the simple zaatar pie. I'm a self proclaimed zaatar expert as it's my favorite 'food' ever! Yum yum yum!

Yelp
I was visiting MI for a Real Madrid friendly and was reccommended by a friend to come here if i wanted breakfast. 1st of all i didnt expect it to be a cramped up place and no decennt chairs & tables to u know like dine in, it gave the impression that its a to-go ordering place, np. The guys were friendly & the portion qas huugeee. The prices was very reasonable for portions. I got a Meat Pie: It tasted sooo weired & im dying to know what was in that tomato sauce it was not good but the dough was awesome. I also had a Cheese Pie: the taste of Syria/Lebanon was all in it! It was delicious..

F.R. D.

Yelp
Made fresh to order. Large portions. Customizable. Delicious. My favorites are the sojouk egg and cheese and the broccoli and cheese and the spinach...Actually they're all favorites. Also very affordable.

Sireen M.

Yelp
The best staff and the best manoushes hands down! A must when in Dearborn!! The staff is very nice and courteous! I usually call before coming in and they have my order ready!!

D J.

Yelp
God this place is just so delicious. Seriously amazing. Never had a bad experience. Will keep going for sure

Mohamed T.

Yelp
This is a great example of what an authentic Arabic bakery looks like. The place has no frills. The handwritten menu has few items. We went on a Sunday morning and the place was packed. We ordered several kinds of manesh. They came to us piping hot immediately out of the oven. They Doug was smooth and silky and little burned from the superheated oven. We had ours topped with zaatar (thyme, sesame, and sumac), vegetable, and sojuk (spicy Arabic sausage). Prices are unbelievably cheap; most items are between 2 and 3 dollars. I would strongly recommend it.

Heather P.

Yelp
Small, cozy place + amazing food! The bread is light, delish and amazing. Didn't leave filling overwhelmed/gross. Everything is authentic, not overly greasy. The service behind the counter is wonderful and more than willing to help. Stray away from the mainstream bakeries in the Metro Detroit area and come here. Would truly recommend to anyone. Lovely place!

Naz Q.

Yelp
The food is good but the service is bad. If you don't mind waiting 30 minutes for one Zatar and Cheese pie then it's the place to go. It is complete disorganization when it comes to completing customer requests in the order that they are received.
