2 Days in Kraków

"Zaczyn, one of the first new-wave artisanal bakeries in Kraków. What started as a small shop selling sourdough baked goods is now an impressive open-kitchen bakery and popular breakfast spot. Everything is 100% plant-based, with no compromising on taste or quality." - The MICHELIN Guide

A modern bakery with healthy and vegan twist on dishes. The tuna toast is divine, especially liked the sesame side veg. The potato bun is interesting and delicious. Nothing is ordinary here, everything on menu is creatively made. Dogs are welcomed too. Tad pricier than other cafes but worth it for the quality of food.

Simply perfect bread in every aspect: appearance, flavor, texture, quality, variety... a work of art. The atmosphere is pretty cool, kind of alternative. Few tables, so I couldn't try the other items on the menu. In contrast, the kitchen is huge and visible, which is really nice. Service is quick and friendly despite the busy demand. The best bet is getting there early especially if you want to sit to eat, since there may be a line at the door even before they open!

Great food, very kind and young staff (great for tourists, who don’t speak polish or russian), amazing coffee. Maybe the space is quite small, but it’s very friendly, pet-friendly, the people coming here are warm and welcoming. Experience 10/10. The only con was the bun of the kimchi sandwich - it was very hard and chewy, but the kimchi itself was great!

Small petite cafe / restaurant. The food is amazing! Quite popular morning hours. Instead of coffee I chose green tea. Plates, cups and cutlery are aesthetically pleasing. The staff is okayish. Very serious. But the public are quite happy. Side note: I would like to try their entire menu, maybe I will.

Don’t be put off by its vegan style. It was DELICIOUS! The best cafe we tried in Krakow and at the same level of others we have tried in other cities in Europe. Their bread is excellent, they have sourdough and many other types. We had the labneh with tomatoes, plum and a sesame seed bun. Their coffee is super tasty too (we had a latte with one shot, which normally comes with two shots, and a cold brew). For dessert we had a small cinnamon roll and a hazelnut cookie with chocolate which was incredible. Be ready to queue to get a table and to order at the counter. They open from 9am until 3pm during the weekend. Would go back many times!

My coffee arrived after rather lenghty wait (despite not being busy at the time) and it was cold. I have kindly asked if I could have a hot coffe, not only I got it warm again, but in a broken cup... Very disappointing. Staff not friendly and more occupiedwith themselves, rather than be committed to their customers; especially to someone, who's there for the first time. Seriously disappointing and pricey!!! Paying this much, you'd expect first class food, drinks and especially service!

Best of all things vegan. When we arrived, it was super crowded. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but once we were seated, we ordered items #1, #3, and #5 from the menu, along with two rounds of flat whites. Everything tasted amazing. Even if you’re not vegan, you won’t miss the meat.

Fantastic vegan bakery. Only the seating is very limited, if you are with more than two persons.
