The restaurant is situated opposite an hotel and would be missed if we didn’t know it was there. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. I was amazed at the tiny mark-up on the lovely wines on the menu. A great new find for me!

Our dinner at Zafferano was nothing short of extraordinary – easily deserving two Michelin stars. The restaurant specializes in fish and seafood, and everything we tasted was prepared with absolute precision and artistry. We started with a stunning appetizer: tiny shrimp from the lagoon, fried whole and served over creamy polenta with a delicate cod mousse made with milk and cream. Then came a beautifully plated octopus dish with razor clams and a fresh young artichoke salad – a perfect balance of texture and flavor. The grand finale: spaghetti cacio e pepe with scampi – a dish so rich and refined, it left a lasting impression. This is not a tourist trap, but a place where you experience Italian cuisine at its finest, made for those who truly appreciate top-level cooking. Service was impeccable, the wine pairing spot on, and every detail of the evening felt carefully curated. Zafferano isn’t just a dinner spot – it’s a world-class dining experience.
