What a great find this was! I can't believe that I found it just driving around in Denver. It truly did have the best Rueben -it was so good I had one two days in a row! And don't pass up the cake slices. I bought the lemon coconut and it was fantastic. The buttercream frosting was some of the best I have ever had, it it was the perfect blend of tangy and sweetness. My only complaint is that I couldn't purchase those yummy pickles -the best I've had since New York. I am going to plan another trip to Denver just so I can dine here again - thank you for your great food and hospitality.

This is a nice spot. The sandwich was huge! It was enough for two people. The service was great. The banana foster cake was delicious. I was surprised they served bacon. I love bacon though! I will definitely go back again.

Went for breakfast. The Challah French Toast was very thick slices of bread which made it very chewy. The caramelized bananas were very good, but the syrup was not maple syrup. The coffee was good. Service was very good - prompt, friendly and attentive. The space is large and pleasant. Part of it is dedicated to the deli side of the business. They do have unsecured Wi-Fi for customers. There is plenty of parking.

I feel like I did a review immediately however, in case I did not, this is for a long distance order I placed in June when my son was ill. I live in Florida and was trying to find a place to send soup to my son outside of Denver. I saw that Zaidy's delivers but my son lived a few miles outside the delivery area. I spoke with Stephanie who was AMAZING!!!! Not only did she work out the situation with the delivery but she stayed in constant contact with me about the order. It is so amazing when you find someone so caring. It is hard when your child no matter how old they are, are far away and sick. I cannot say how much I appreciate the goodwill and help. My son said the soup was perfect and the rolls were delicious. I highly recommend Zaidy's and will stop there if I am ever in that area. God bless you Stephanie. Sorry if I did not do this earlier. We had a large group,15 people with walkers (most of them), we had called ahead, owner greeted us and showed us where to sit. Wait staff was really kind . Food was really good ,nice clean place We were not the only big group. wait for food was minimal. We will be back.

Great Jewish deli. We go there every high holiday for catered dishes—their noodle kugel and flourless chocolate cake are superb!—and also love their lox bagels throughout the year. Table service was swift and friendly, and the pastrami Rueben and lox bagels (and free pickles) were excellent. Our three year old got crayons and a coloring sheet, and the kids menu bagel with included chocolate milk. Very comfortable ambience, comfort food with a smile!

Helped nearly immediately. Waited for a table rather than a booth. Busy, so frequency of check ins was lower, as would be expected. Matzo soup was very good, wonderful broth made slowly, very tasty with lots of veggies and good portion of chicken; recommend. Ordered half sandwich, should have pestered with questions because of my first time there, since I ordered a corn beef sandwich and that is all that was on the sandwich, bread and corned beef. So that was unexpected, normally I guess you ask for things to be removed but I needed to ask for the basics to be added including condiments. Fries were fine but will try the potato salad next time. Soup and sandwich were served quite a time apart, not sure why, quite a bit before anyone else was served. Cottage cheese with fruit was generous and fresh. A little pricey. We visited the bakery afterwards. I will go again but now forewarned on some misunderstandings.

I have been eating at Zaidy's since it first opened in Cherry creek. This was my first visit to their new-ish location (although I have had takeout from here). The bakery area is lovely. However, having Asiago bagels and not having salt bagels is some goyisha bullshit. Ffs. Salt is one of the traditional flavors. Asiago is a dumb yuppy flavor. Might as well change the name to Christian's bakery. Stock salt.

Exactly what you'd expect from a classic, non-kosher Jewish deli. There's pastrami and knishes, challah and blintzes, bottomless cups of coffee, and great pickles. I had the pastrami on rye and was happy with it. Service was good and attentive.

This is my local go to deli! We are on their email list and recently received an email during a snow storm announcing they were indeed open and ready to deliver! I have The ToastTab app and I placed our order. The Pastrami is one of my faves and I added Russian dressing! It was fantastic! We also ordered a loaf of freshly baked Pumpernickel, it's better than any store bought bread that's for sure! For dessert our favorite chocolate dipped coconut macaroons were a must! Our order was placed and as we watched the door dash pick up our order it was immediately canceled!!! Wait what? I immediately called the restaurant and let them know, they found out what happened and made another order and had it delivered again! The food was warm and just as we expected! I do so appreciate the help Zaidys provided in correcting my order after the door dash mistake. Zaidys is such a great addition to our community, being local and family owned, it's wonderful local deli! Dine in, carry out or delivery it's a win win!

I had the potato latkes. they were incredibly thin, about 1/8 inch in total. Seemed like there were two thin layers covering a small layer of potatoes. The potato layer seemed like mashed potatoes, not grated with onion. My companions had so-so meals too, except for the french toast. Very disappointing, will not be going back!

Service here was bar none; even for the to-go/marketplace counter. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Was offered two different complimentary baked goods: baby challah and a raspberry rugelach. Definitely feels like walking into a family establishment, very home-like, and most definitely family friendly. Look forward to coming back for the latkes!

It was so good to visit an old-fashioned deli, and I questioned why I did not know about this place earlier... Great service, a kind greeter up front, and a lotta parking made the initial stage of the visit work well. It just got better and better. Mid-afternoon stops, so I was thinking of lunch! I ordered their famous matzo ball soup, which was delicious and met my expectations. I enjoyed the gluten-free BTLA, a superb sandwich on toasted wheat bread that included bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and mayo. Enjoyed the diagonal cut like an NYC deli! A heaping order of fries was so yummy also. Afterward, I noticed that they had pastries and items to go in a cooler, which capped the visit off on a high note. I'll be back!

Tasty! Large portions - kept the coffee coming - They added cookies at the end as a treat! Burrito was Huge! Friendly, Delicious and reasonably priced. Who could ask for more!?

Used to love this place in CC. The new place on Leetsdale has a bit of a different vibe (and owner) but I'm glad it's there. They have a bagel-specific counter as well as bakery one. The decor and layout aren't quite as "old school" as before (it's in a typical strip mall), but still not as bland as every other breakfast/brunch place. Many of the historic photos made it over, parking is WAY easier! Wait staff were prompt and friendly enough. Seems like they pared the menu down quite a bit, which I tend to support to allow focus on quality v quantity. I got the two eggs over easy with sausage, nothing particularly earth shattering, but it was always my go to here as I had some toast and coffee on a leisurely weekend morning. It was done well and my gf's meal was also pretty tasty. Zero complaints and I'll be back. Giving four stars, but this may be a combo of food and nostalgia for me. In any event, the city is better off for having it, and us old timers need places where we can throw comparisons to the "old location" out in conversation. (RIP Annie's...)

Once again had a disappointing take out order from Zaidy's! This is the 3rd time in a year! I keep trying, but yesterday was the last time I will ever go there! Ordered 2 hot pastrami sandwiches on rye with Russian dressing and then Cole slaw on the side. Also took home 2 bagels, chicken livers and vegetable soup. Bill was almost $70!!!!! Suggested tip up to 36%...what!! Got home..no Russian dressing, very dry pastrami and dry tasteless cole slaw. The rye bread was mealy. So very disappointing. Last time I called to tell them they had forgotten my soup.. they didn't seem to care and it was not credited on my CC. Come on guys, do better! Third time was NOT a charm. Would give zero stars if possible.

We've only ever come here for takeout before today and well, I think we'll go back to take out. Service wasn't bad, per se, just...meh. We sat for 5-6 minutes before anyone came over and greeted us. I tried to order the blintzes and was told they were out of them. Noooooo! They are so good! I was disappointed but ordered the challah French toast instead. It was yummy. My 13 year old ordered the breakfast sandwich that came with potatoes and that was perfection! The server came with our total but no paper (or electronic) itemized bill to review. I like to verify prices etc but didn't get that option. I tipped 20% even though I wasn't impressed with the service. It was all done on an electronic device. The server asked if I wanted a receipt and I chose a paper one by clicking a button. I think she forgot because that took another 5-6 minutes for her to bring it to us. I won't dine in again, and I'll ask for the itemized receipt next time. The food here is good overall! Note it is written on the bottom of the menu that there is an extra 5% service fee tacked onto your bill. I didn't notice that until after I paid and got the receipt in hand.

Stumbled upon this place on accident and had an incredible meal. Haven't found myself super impressed over a breakfast in a long long time. Well worth the price. Older lady at the register was super sweet and made my morning.

We go to Denver a few times a year. Was going here very trip. Zaidy's was the best in Denver when the opened. Last couple visits have been disappointing. Quality of the sandwiches has changed overnight. Maybe new management have gone cheap on products they purchase, IDK. Not going back to be disappointed again.

I was very excited to try this deli. As everyone who knows me I'm from Chicago and New York and really love deli food. I ordered a pastrami sandwich. I hate to say it. One of the worst sandwiches I've had. Had to send it back. Looks like they grill the pastrami which any great cook knows drys out pastrami. The sandwich was very thin. This place would go broke in New York or Chicago. The owner needs to get on an airplane and go try some great sandwiches in Chicago and New York. Absolutely horrible. I may try it one more time because the server told me this is not the usual Pastrami. Well then why did you serve it to me.

Loved it! Went there once and had the smoked fish platter and it was phenomenal! I will go back there again to try their corned beef. This is a great spot for Sunday Brunch, and afterwards you can pick up some fresh baked cookies to take home with you. I will add to this review but I had to give them 5 stars for the smoked fish platter!

I have loved Zaidy's for 20+ years and was elated that they reopened in a location where the parking is easier! I usually order the Desayuno Fuerte but have recently become addicted to The Rachel, a twist on the Reuben. Highly recommend. I usually grab halvah or a black and white cookie on my way out.

Out looking for a brunch spot nearby and after seeing some longish lines at places like Sam's and Snooze, remembered that Zaidy's opened up a new place east on Leetsdale from their old Cherry Creek home. A table was open when we arrived. The coffee was quickly poured and decent, and the server was kind and helpful. So those nice things I just said . . . well they were what was positive about our experience. The rest not so much. Our food was really bland and tasteless. I had the matzah brei and my honey had the desayuna fuerta. The bagel she ordered with her meal was a raw- tasting doughy cardboard-like experience. Unpleasant at best. The spinach patty over the tomato slice base in main course had no flavor. Now I know when something comes out from a kitchen that you don't think is what it should be then you really owe it to the restaurant to let them know and give them a chance to fix it. But in this case it was . . . well . . . everything. So we'll just write off Zaidy's and assume its our tastes that have changed and not Zaidy's fault. Stopped in for lunch with my daughter since she was craving some comfort food. They're located at the end of a small strip mall and there's plenty of parking. The menu has a good selection of typical Jewish deli food and the restaurant is fairly light and open. It didn't feel crowded, even with most of the tables filled. Our server, Sherry B. was attentive and patient about answering all our questions. We each started with a cup of chicken noodle soup which was full of big hunks of chicken and lots of noodles. We split the Reuben sandwich and french fries, which came out quickly. The fries were a little too salty for my taste but the sandwich was great - not too much fat and the perfect amount of russian dressing. My daughter also ordered a potato latke which came with sour cream and very tasty applesauce with strawberries in it. The latke was a little thin but tasted good. I also didn't care for either of the types of pickles but that's why they have more than one option. We did get some things to take home and the entire staff was friendly. I will definitely be going there again.

I ordered a corned beef sandwich. It came with about four thin slices of corned beef. I asked the waitress if she could put more on it. She came back 20 minutes later with another two pieces of corned beef. I didn't bother to eat the sandwich, he tried to charge me more than 18 bucks for the sandwich. Don't recommend this place Won't ever come back to this place. The service and the food were both terrible.

Best lox bagel I've had! Lox made on-site, on a crispy yet fluffy fresh baked bagel, with plenty of capers, red onion, freshest lettuce and tomato. A cheery atmosphere, clean setting, super fresh challah which we took home for Shabbat dinner. We then put in an order for Passover dishes based on the quality of what we tasted...and were really pleased with the outcome! We ordered a potato kugel and a carrot kugel, and both were unusually good; you could tell there was a homemade, made with love feel to both dishes, which were not too sweet, crispy and wholesome. The flourless chocolate cake for Passover was top notch--super chocolate flavor, rich and dense. Will definitely return with special orders knowing how well they make these catering orders! We grew up, and continue to visit relatives, in Long Island, New York and know NY deli well. Delighted to have such superb Jewish deli food and Passover catering options here in Denver!

I give this place a 5 stars for multiple reasons. First of all, the food was very good. I got a BLTA/Salad and fries and the taste was good and it was good quality for the price. While not being the cheapest, it was quality and was definitely worth the price. The cake pop was good and well baked as well. The service was good as well. The staff was very nice and one of the owners was talking to me and was very friendly. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

I loved the original Zaidy's that was in Cherry Creek, but haven't had a chance to go to the new one on Leetsdale and Holly until today. My husband and I went with 4 other friends and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed! The restaurant is very spacious with a bar in the back (yes, you can now get mimosa's and bloody mary's with your brunch as well as a slew of other cocktails). I was so happy to see that there was a lot of space for patrons and wait staff to walk around the tables and the open kitchen (which had a wonderful aroma of delicious food emanating from it). They also have a market on the west side of the restaurant which has an array of jewish deli treats and desserts (different kinds of rugulach, cookies, noodle kugel..) and their homemade breads and deli items to bring home. They also have boxed meals to go that you can grab when you're on the run. We browsed all their offerings while we were waiting for our table, and it definitely wet our appetite. Our wait wasn't nearly as long as we were told it would be, and the waitress was there quickly to greet us and offer us water. My husband and I had their eggs and corned beef hash, which was just as good if not better than I remembered it from their original restaurant. I'm not really a corned beef hash fan, but theirs is made with big pieces of their corned beef, home fries that we just crispy enough, and onions, and boy is it delicious! We got it with their homemade challah toast, which was also fabulous. Our brunch partners had the french dip with home cut fries, the burrito bowl, and the latke reuben, and we all agreed that this was the best brunch we've all had in a long time. My only complaint is that they are not open for dinner, as I would really like to go back tonight to have that french dip that looked sooo good on their homemade challah roll~

We always love Zaidy's (and are getting used to the new location) but today the exceptional service that Stephanie provided made the experience over the top! The lox platter was great and way too much food for us but it's always gorgeous so we can't not get it. As always, highly recommend and will be back!

Zaidy's is BACK!!! This long time Denver favorite finally reopened in their new location this week snd OMG!! Amazing! I can't say enough good things about this place. From the minute I walked in the door and was greeted by the friendly staff, to the awesome service and amazing food... This was for sure one of the best experiences I've had in a long time!! You can guarantee you will see more Zaidy's posts from me in the future! All their breads are baked fresh daily, so you can guarantee when you bite into that amazing Ruben, the rye was baked that morning! Their pastrami is out of this world, they cure and smoke their own corned beef and salmon in house... The list goes on! I can't wait to go back and try more of their awesome menu! Insider scoop: They will be opening their own market next-door in 6 months. There you will be able to buy their fresh baked breads, desserts and pastries, cured meats and more! I hope you all will go visit Zadie's and help support this awesome local business, and long time Colorado favorite, in their new location!

Great food great service good cocktails always take care of you in the crowd great place to go

They just reopened with new ownership but my understanding is the previous owner is still involved in the concept. The location isn't as glamorous as Cherry Creek, but I'm glad to see the indoor space was modernized. My friend and I decided to come at 1 p.m. because she assumed it might be a little busy. It was about a 20 minute wait for lunch, pretty much unheard of for anywhere I have been. Hopefully they figure out how to manage the crowds better with time. Our server was very friendly but you could tell she was busy - to her credit, she was very apologetic about the wait. I ordered a turkey club sandwich with a side of potato salad. Both were well executed but not over the top. Most sandwiches run in the $14-$18, which is a little high for me but the portions were legit. I actually think a half size option or half sandwich/ soup combo would be helpful. I think they have a little more work to do to work out the details but a good experience overall.

So thankful to be invited to try Zaidys before they officially open this Tuesday August 17th. The food is on point and the space is open airy and comfortable. They will have a breakfast and lunch menu along with a bar. The matzoh ball soup was very good with chicken, celery, carrots, onion and a large matzoh ball. The deviled eggs were very tasty with bacon and a creamy filling. The latkes are large enough to share and served with apple sauce and sour cream. They have many types of pickles. I liked all of them mix The BLTA is served on a bagel or bread and full of bacon, avocado, tomatoes and mayonnaise. It came a side of fruit with berries, pineapple and oranges. Many items from the original Zaidys menu are offered. Many delicious deserts are available from decadent cheesecake to black and white cookies to rugelach. The breads and bagels are made on site. Will be coming back again very soon. Thank you Zaidys for coming back and giving Denverites another deli delicious and comforting.

Excellent Jewish deli with amazing food! My aunt and uncle used to frequent the old location, and were really excited it reopened that they had to show it to us, and I'm so glad they did! The Deli classic sandwiches were so good - I got the Roasted Turkey and others got the Classic Reuben. I love knishes so we ordered several. They are not your conventional square-pocket knishes but they were still delicious and also pretty!!! We went on a Thursday around noon and it was PACKED. So many diners as well as lines out the door waiting to eat in or placed an order. Definitely a great lunch place that'll leave you satisfied!

A hell yes from me! All the classic Jewish deli favorites - got the corn beef hash and french toast Iced coffee was delish - overall amazing breakfast! Parking also a breeze

I Service is always very good. Food is good. I had a chopped liver sandwich which was good but had at least two times of chopped liver that it needed which made it difficult to eat. May not order this item again. We are from CS and almost always come to Zaidy's when we are in Denver,

Always excellent food...and superior service. Waitresses remember your name, refill your coffee, are warm and welcoming.

I had high hopes of good Jewish deli food in Denver. Boy were we disappointed. My wife and adult daughter came with me. My daughter got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. My wife got a corned beef sandwich. And I got a Rueben. All very basic items. The corned beef on both the Rueben and corned beef sandwich was so dific to chew that I had to wonder what they could have done to it. The French fries were cooked very unevenly. They were either barely cooked or actually burnt. My wife's sandwich came with a few slices of corned beef and rye bread. Literally nothing at all on it. My daughter commented that the bagel was very small and the home fries looked to be the remnants from the pan. She said the eggs were okay. None of us said anything about the meal till we noticed that none of us had finished even half of the plate. My daughter said she noticed that the menu said that a sandwich would have 2 ounces of meat. Very skimpy In my opinion. We live in Boulder and don't have any options for a Jewish style deli. Clearly, Denver doesn't either. For $65 it was a very disappointing meal. For free it would have been disappointing.

Zaidy's has always been a Denver favorite, from bagels and treats in the market to full on breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Zaidy's chicken noodle soup brings me back time and time again. It's that good! Servers are friendly and efficient. The quality and serving size more than makes up for slightly higher prices.

Great rye bread, bagels, sandwiches, and soups. Lots of friendly people and a nice place to have meetings.

Zaidy's food and service are good. However...I do have one major objection to a practice that Zaidy's--and many other restaurants follow. I'm talking about the addition of a Service Charge. In this case, the charge is 5 pecent. I believe this is a terrible practice. Restaurants will tell you that it is intended to add financial support for the staff. Some say it is for "back-of-the-house," others say it is for all staff. I think it is just a sneaky, insulting surcharge. If restaurants want to increase compensation for staff, they should simply increase compensation. If that means raising menu prices slightly, so be it. If the restaurant is good, patrons won't mind paying a little extra. Personally, I deduct the surcharges from my tip, because that's what it is--an extra tip.

ZAIDY'S gets 5 stars because I know it's damn good, Unfortunately, I did not get to have it today. I showed up at 3:45 PM and A woman comes out the front door and says, 'we close in 15 minutes, so you can come and have a quick drink, but that's it'. What is the rule of thumb on this? If I were to own a restaurant and I closed at 4 PM; I would say the last person walks in the door at 4 PM and the staff can deal with it. Then you're honoring that you're open till 4 PM, NOT till 3:30 PM or 3:45 PM. I'm really curious and would like some comments back. please feel free to comment away !!!!!

Zaidys is always a wonderful choice when my family does breakfast or lunch! The menu is extensive and gives everyone choices, whatever your taste. Awesome waitstaff and convenient parking and location. Our favorite is the corn beef omelette, the lox and bagel combination for 2, the soups are yummy and save room for a piece of the cinnamon walnut coffee cake.

The food is amazing. I had the club sandwich with a salad. My friend had the French dip. The bread in the sandwich was so soft and fresh. (baked fresh every day onsite). Turkey in the club was some of the best I have eaten and the brisket in the dip was next level. Our server Ann was fun and interactive. Over all a great place to eat.

I have mixed feelings about Zaidy's. Most of the time the service and food is exceptional. I don't live nearby so when I stop in, it's usually after an appointment in the area and I'm usually by myself. Since I'm alone, they always want to seat me at one of the very small two-tops that are scrunched so close together on the side facing the deli. I understand that if it's the height of lunch hour and they're mobbed, but they still want to do that even if it's later and there's hardly anyone there. Then, I do request a booth and they do accommodate but it's just annoying that I have to ask in the first place. And sometimes after I do sit down at one of those small tables, it seems like I've become invisible. On more than one occasion I've had to wave people down to get a menu, water, and place my order. At a booth I don't seem to have that problem. Having gotten that bit out the way... My go-to for lunch is the Half-Sandwich/Soup combo. I always upgrade to a bowl of the matzo ball soup to go with a turkey on rye. So good! They might call it a half sandwich, but it sure seems like a whole sandwich (two slices of bread and maybe just half the meat of the full-sized sandwich). It's a PLENTY big sandwich with the soup, and it also comes with a side (I like the slaw). Their iced tea is fresh and tastes like tea (not the weak, watered down version you get most places). I also like that they've opened a small deli area where you can grab soups, salads, sliced meats, fresh bread, desserts, etc. from their fridges. One thing that I find odd, though, is that if you have them slice some meat for you, you can only order it by the half-pound. So if you want, for example, two thirds of a pound of something you can't do that. Not a big deal, just seems weird.

Way overpriced, but I will admit the food is very good. My favorite is the matzo ball soup, but because of the prices it's a special treat now & then, especially if I'm sick.

Small, burned, overpriced sandwich. Takeout counter doesn't seem to make sense, you end up having to stand in an awkward location with a coffee bar that isn't clear if it's meant for customers to get coffee, or the staff? Just constructive feedback, I'd like to change this review. Make the takeout system clear, and either make the sandwiches bigger, or cheaper, or don't include a side and make it cheaper.

Love our Sunday brunches here! It's always delicious and great service. My favorite are the salmon scrambles.

During the snow event we were house-bound. The email about Zaidy's delivering even with the snow was a blessing. The food was delicious! We are now fans. And by the way - they make the best Rueben and amazing latke (potato pancakes)!!

Went in the am the food was good but the service from the waitress was rude, Like she didn't have the time for us. Another waitress, who didnt have our table, stopped to check on us more than the one who was supposed to. We got up to leave, and it was like we were inconveniencing her. Get rid of this waitress. She is only hurting the business.
