Zalat Pizza

We had an excellent experience, food was hot and fresh and sooo good . Pizza was delish , wings delish , breadsticks were great too . We also got a salad . Restaurant and bathrooms very clean . The guys working were very helpful , knowledgeable and friendly . They have a good selection of sauces too . Def will be back and already referred my friends .

It's a small pizza place in downtown. Kinda cluttered but the food was good, price was competitive for downtown Houston. All in all of I find myself in that neck of the woods I would definitely come back, however I wouldn't make a pilgrimage just to get the pizza. Customer service was acceptable, fast and welcoming. I give extra points because the service was still good within the last hour of operation. Good job guys!

Don’t remember the name of the young guy who works here but his name is four letters long. Anyway, he was pleasant, had a warm smile and Greta customer service. The pizza was pretty good too. We ordered minis. They are a decent size, enough for one person with some leftovers. No real frills in terms of dining in but the space is clean, tables and chairs are nice and spacious.The bathrooms are clean too. The pizzas take about 15-20 minutes to make and in my opinion super reasonable and great quality.

Terrible customer service. My wife and i tried this pizza for the first time last week and the pizza along with the customer service was phenomenal so we decided to come back. Last night we didn’t get a greet and when we asked if our added sauces were inside of the box we just got a nod then he wondered off to the back however the pizza & establishment was great. Just wish the customer service was better.

Leaving a review specifically for this location as they exceeded my expectations far beyond everything I’ve experienced from a pizza spot! Shout out to those working on 1/1/2026 at around 8pm CST for the excellence service, timing, food. I had ordered a supreme pizza it was definitely supreme to say the least. Pizza was good. Wings were good. Bread sticks were good. Sauces were good. Restaurant and restrooms was clean. They only have canned sodas no fountain. The plates, napkins and cutlery is cheap and hard to work with when you have greasy pizza. Overall a good experience. I'll be back.

Honestly the worst pizza I've had in years. It ruined my saturday movie night . This was the first time I've ordered pizza from here and it definitely won't happen again. It was oily and feels like unhealthy. Please guys do better.

Being able to get sampler style to try different pizzas all in one go was amazing, especially this being our first time trying Zalat I know what to expect, have faith in trying more options and order again!

I've been wanting to try zalat for a while and finally caved in and I was impressed! I ordered the Simple Basil Miniz and Buffalo Chicken Miniz. Out of the 2, the Simple Basil was my favorite as it was the most traditional. The basil was fresh and I love the addition of the cracked black pepper. The crust was amazing. It's like a crispy cornmeal crust that's still chewy. I'd only wish they put a garlic butter on the crust! Now onto the buffalo chicken pizza, the presentation was very unappealing and I was very hesitant to try it. Seemed like they put way more than a buffalo drizzle on top of my pizza. They also forgot to put the chives on top so that sucked. Taste wise, the buffalo sauce had a good flavor, the chicken was just okay, I could've went with out. I'd probably enjoyed this pizza more if the ratios were proportionate. Now onto the hospitality, the cashier wasn't very welcoming. It could've just been a long day, but I didn't recieve good customer service.

This was my first time ordering. It was disappointing for me. I like pizza sauce on my pizza. They just don't put much if any on it and when i ordered it online, I didn't see an option for extra pizza sauce. I ordered the NYC pepperoni and it wasn't anything like I expected. I'm certain by the reviews this is a great pizza for a lot of folks, just not for me.

I've been eating pizza longer than this company has been around. Cheesy bread is not a cheese pizza cut into strips. I shouldn't have to argue that with your employees. I will give it 3 stars since it was still a good cheese pizza.

This was the first time I've seen the "drawing" inside the box. When I went inside to pickup my pizza, the staff member let me know it was almost ready. He carefully drew the sauce swirls and garnished the pizza with chives. I was actually impressed because I haven't seen that much care in food presentation in a while. The blue cheese ranch swirl makes this buffalo chicken version stand apart from others. The dough was slightly fluffy with a hard and crispy exterior. There's a small parking lot with a good amount of parking spaces that the shop shares with other stores.

Personally, I've never eaten inside this restaurant but whenever I'm drinking/hung over I order this place without even thinking about anything else. This place is so freaking good holy moly. Tootles, Bob b.

Favorite casual pizza spot in Houston! We've been loving Zalat ever since they opened a couple of years ago. In fact, we eat Zalat most Friday nights and it's consistently delicious. I'd recommend the Pepperoni Masterclass and the Sweet Revenge. Word on the street is they're introducing mini pizzas to their line up. Oh and Phil is the best.

Fantastic. A New Yorker approved pizza. Thin crust nice sauce to cheese ratio. Ordered late night after the bars can't believe they delivery after 11 pm. Quality is awesome.

Pizza was awesome service picking up was terrible. We stood outside for 5 minutes because they wouldn't let anyone in and they wouldn't open the door"or the "pizza window". They would wave but not come to the window. There was a couple outside complaining and knocking on the window so they wouldn't come to the window until that person's pizza was done. So those of us that ordered before them whose food was waiting got to stand outside and wait. Then when I started to complain once he served those other people the guy stared throwing Jesus comments to me. Really. No thank you.

Got the $8 pizza deal at this location! Got the sweet revenge pizza. It wasn't overly sweet and loved the bacon jam on it. There was a generous amount of meat on it too!

My first time ordering from Zalat was yesterday because I was picking up food from a near by restaurant and not everyone wanted from that place, I'm sure we all have those picky eaters in our lives. Placed my order online and the wait was 20 minutes and by the time I had gotten there it was ready, was greeted by a really friendly staff. We ordered their Pineapple Express and I did have a slice....absolutely delicious and I wasn't the only one saying that, "It transcended me to a different dimension" so not only are they picky eaters but a little extra I wanted to also 'transcend to a different dimension' so I ordered a keto pizza today and yup, I felt it and finally understood. Will DEFINENTLY be coming back and trying their other pizzas. Give this place a shot.

Really good pizza. Only a 25 minute wait on a rainy cold Monday night. Thin chewy crust..cooked to perfection. My only complaint is the amount of toppings on the Zalat (supreme) were a little lacking. Also the personal message was a bit lacking but that would not stop me from ordering again.

I can't believe I've never tried this pizza joint before until recently. My boyfriend and I wanted to watch one of the World Series games at home and order some takeout pizza. If you're a supreme pizza lover, I highly recommend the Zealot Pizza (supreme). It's unique and is not your typical supreme pizza. I'm a fan of thin crusts for pizza, so this pizza is perfect for all thin crust pizza lovers. I would definitely love to come back here again to try the other flavors. They all sounded so unique and delicious! I called ahead to order and the wait time was approximately 15-20 minutes until it was ready to be picked up.

They closed early an hour early on 4/10 and turned the sign off in front of my face. Wow bro wow

Do not order a to go pizza, they will send you a pizza that has already been sitting there. There is no way a pizza was ordered and cooked properly as a fresh pizza in minutes , also the girl answering the phone has terrible customer service skills. Update: yes the double cooked pizza tasted terrible... do not waste your time..

I was very disappointed after hearing so many good things about the pizza. I convinced my wife that we should give the pizza a try. When it arrived we were surprised to see that they sent us a burnt pizza.

Just picked up 2 pizzas to finally try them out! Online ordering process was really easy. We ordered a margherita pizza and the 420 sweet revenge special. I think between the 2, the 420 was the favorite. It had Infinity swirls of housemade hot honey, mozzarella, salami, bacon onion jam, crushed red pepper, fresh basil, and a little extra basil on the side. The bacon onion jam really stood out to me. I just didn't love the crust. It's a thinner pizza so expect a harder, crispier crust.

First time ordering and they got it wrong. We ordered a pepperoni sausage with black olives and greek seasoning pizza and they left off the pepperoni and the greek seasoning. We ordered Caesar salad with black olives and the left off the black olives. We ordered wings and they were the smallest wings ever. They tasted so bad we couldn't eat them. We won't be back.

Ok pizza but a bit overpriced for what it is. Recommend Elote, pepperoni masterclass or Pho Shizzle. App makes no sense to me. Always use app and somehow have no points. The facebook community that theyve built is amusing

Some of the best Thin Crust Pepperoni pizza you will ever find in Houston. It taste great fresh and when you follow their instructions on how to warm it up. I'm glad they have Beef pepperoni since I don't eat pork, I highly recommend the Masterclass which has extra pepperoni I believe. They have some other toppings I need to try as well but I highly recommend it!

Ordered food Togo! A meatza a margharita and got the pepperoni for free! So dope! Only took 20 mins to get it and brought it home the ranch they serve with it was delicious!!!! This pizza is some of the best I've ever had! Hands down! And this place stays open so late! Even better for a night out or emergency! Definitely recommending to my friends and family!

25 mins before close I call and they say I can't order a pizza so I order online. Just for the dude to tell me I can't order online. You're a corporate restaurant at this point and should Atleast cut off times online. I understand you want to go home but I work as a server in a restaurant also and we get off late hoping for a quick bite. Shame on my favorite pizza place letting me down like this. Lost a loyal customer, since the Dallas days 2016 and prior.

So curiosity got the better of me this past Saturday night when I was looking for places open late. I had driven by Zalat Pizza before, but never had the occasion to try them out until now. Technically, they do have dine-in, however there are only three tables so it is primarily carryout. The soda fountain is present but has a 8.5"x11" sheet of paper with "not working" handwritten on it, so your only options for drinks are the canned variety. I went with the Meatza (all-beef pepperoni, sausage, salami, and bacon) in the 12" size, with both packets of crushed red pepper. This was amazing pizza and a welcome change of pace from my usuals (Domino's and Pepperoni's). Admittedly, the one minor quibble I have is that the price point was a bit higher than I was expecting, but I still plan to make it back here at least once a month. The parking is a bit hard to find; you have to be looking for the entrance. The lot shares an entrance with Baptist Temple next door, or you can also enter from Rutland Street. The actual storefronts, for whatever weird reason, face away from West 20th Street.

First time trying Zalat Pizza and I absolutely loved it! Kat made sure to answer any questions we had, as well as great customer service. The place is small, but really cute, clean, and cozy to dine in and most take takeout. 10/10 really recommend.

I'm a pizza lover that works in the heights. I tried visiting this establishment back in June 2024 but was told they had a huge online order to fill and couldn't assist me. To compensate me for my time the gentlemen working gave me a coupon. The coupon was for one 12" pizza for $7. Today July 26th I decided to use the coupon. Upon walking in; before i could even reach the counter to order the man working said "you can't use that coupon it's only for online orders". He was simply rude. He could have said something along the lines he of "let me show you how to redeem that coupon online and I'll get that pizza going for you". Instead we left the coupon there and went across to Yale street grill where they are always nice!!! Zalat Pizza had no other customers but yet didn't seem to want my business. Do Better Sir!!!!!

I thought this pizza was really good. We got a large pep and added basil and garlic and we loved it. I'll definitely be back. Would awesome if it was a few dollars cheaper tho!

Ordered for the first time. This by far is the worst cheese pizza ever. Barely any cheese, burt & no sauce. How could you sell this to someone

I called on Saturday to preorder 11 pizzas for my son's birthday party on Sunday. When I arrived my order was misplaced and they had just started working on my pizzas. I had no choice but to leave to decorate my son's venue (I only get a 15 min window) and had my husband who had our two toddlers with him go wait and pick it up. I thought they would at least give my husband a discount or something for messing up our plans but he told me it was actually more than the total price I got on the phone when I preordered. In short, my son lost the first 20 mins for his 1.5 hr party venue rental because of the pizza delay.

Mediocre pizza, premium price. Ordered a beef pepperoni, jalapeno and mushroom pizza, price was over $27. Topping was sparse, pizza was mediocre at best. Person answering the phone did not seem to be very dense and I had to repeat myself on my order several times. Go ahead and order fast food, this place is just not worth it.

I wasn't impressed. They only got 2 stars because the sauce for the pizza was tasty. The pizza was Underwhelming and was worse the next day. Barely any sauce and cheese. Probably one of the nastiest pizzas I've ever had. I would never go back. What a waste of 16 dollars.

Zalat is the most friendliest, caring and generous pizza parlor ever! And Claudia especially makes it more worthwhile!! I cannot stress how yummy everything is and attentive they all are! That's ZALAT as a staple ;)!

Zalat was amazing! Loved the sauce that came on the side!!! My favorites were the Supreme and the Keto veggie! YUMMMMM!

My pizza was terrible. I got the Italian sausage and pepperoni. The flavor was odd and the dough tastes strange. Not a fan of the pepperoni. I rather have brought a Kroger frozen pizzas as saved my $24.00.

Pizza is alright. I placed a picked up order of pizza and a dessert and when I came in they said they couldn't make the dessert because they were out of ingredients. They didn't offer me my money back and it wasn't worth my time so I left with a partial order.

Disregarded any notes, pizza seemed old, didn't taste good. Wouldn't order again. Why do I need to add 85 characters? That's stupid.

Really delicious! We ordered pickup, so I can't vouch for delivery quality, but would definitely order again. Next time, though, I will order directly from the store so that they get all of my $$ instead of grubhub getting a portion.

I decided to give it a shot and order pizza since I had a craving. I ordered the Nashville Chicken and when it arrived, it was cold. On top of that, There was barely any chicken on it. I love Nashville style sandwiches but this was more on the buffalo sauce side as far as taste.
