Zaman Supermarket - Review - London - The Infatuation

"You’ll find this Persian specialty supermarket on Kensington High Street, and inside, you’ll find all the ingredients you need for a Nowruz feast at home. They’ve got an endless selection of spices, a butcher for the meat, baked goods and desserts in their patisserie side. And they’ve even got Persian caviar. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

The fruits are good. But several products are sourced from illegal settlements in WestBank including Madjoul dates which are cunningly labeled as Jordan River to look Jordanian. They are stolen lands that belong to Palestine as per international law and buying such product rewards theft and occupation. We hope the store owner is more vigilant about the sourcing of his shop!

Possibly the worst customer service I've experienced. The grumpy young man working there needs lessons in how to speak to humans, because patronising, yelling and ordering them around is not it. None of the items were labelled with the cost and I'm pretty sure he was making up the (very high) prices as he typed them on the calculator. Do yourself a favour and get your Iranian products from other professional places like in Maida Vale or Finchley Central.

Extremely overpriced! They charged 12 £ for a little box of cherry and 12 £ for a little piece of watermelon. Just unbelievable!

I give 5* for the passion the shop owner responds to bad reviews… truly Iranian passion. I am somewhat neutral. I agree the food is expensive but I guess it is in central London. A few times I bought some stuff from there and the quality has been no better than any other corner shop. I think you can find it cheaper elsewhere in London in other Arab shops so I guess a trade-off of location vs price occurs

2-3 time more expensive than the other Iranian supermarkets Even labeled item sold 2.5 higher than price shown on the label: i.e. chickpeas 500gr Labelled £1.39 sold for £2.99 My mistake didn’t read others similar reviews before enter and buy from this supermarket Horrible Will never do it again

A bunch of crooks and rude people. My wife got two red fishes for Persian new year from this place on 21 March 2023. This unprofessional guy gave her wrong food for red fishes and unfortunately they died 😔after three days. I took the red fish food to a pet fish shop that they told me it’s wrong food for fish. When my wife called this shop and explain the situation but they denied of was wrong food and were very rude to my wife. Not recommended this place

Highly not recommended. I went with my family to do some shopping for Our Iranian new year on 20 March 2023 . The price were very high and some of items out of date. Also there was a man with hoodie hat clothe who were sitting and selling green Grass(sabzeh) In front of shop . Very angry person and argued with everyone specially with ladies. When I looked the lady staff who were working there she pointed he is crazy and mental. They shouldn’t let the crazy and mental person which is dangerous to other people . I will never go there again and put my family life in danger.
