Zander's Woodfired Pizza

Even when I was broke and thirsty, Id stop by and they'd give me a drink to-go free of charge. Finally had money and stopped in to eat, and the Vanleer pizza was perfect, and I LOVE the ranch sauce. 10/10 recommend!

I ate there today for my Second time and The pizza was very good and our Waitress Sarah was very sweet and did a good job. I'm a Top 10 Reviewer for Google Maps and I Recommed This place.

Saturday July 26, 2025 had a craving for Zander's Pizza. I drove from Clarksville to Dickson for pizza......after getting back to Clarksville and opening the pizza box, wow, not what I was expecting at all. Both mine and my husband pizzas were burnt on the bottom and tasted nothing like previous pizza. Not sure who was 'the cook' today, but they have no business cooking. Not good for Zander"s reputation. I'll be driving to Calbria in Goodlettsville from now on.

My husband and I recently moved into an RV. We've decided to start a tradition where we order pizza from a local business when we get set up at a new place. Zanders was our second stop. Their pizza is amazing! Fresh ingredients, crust with a bit of crunch, and a bit of chew. I ordered half hawaiian, half margeurite, and my husband had a calzone, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the wood fired taste. The restaurant itself feels cozy and rustic. The staff were friendly and considerate. We ordered to go, and they gave us water to drink while we waited. The peanut butter cake was also really tasty. Not sure if they make it there or order it in. Would definitely recommend. All thumbs up!

First time trying it and it’s the best pizza I’ve had so far in the area! The cheesy bread is buttery and delicious, and the pizza has a slight crunch to the crust which I love. Our server Hannah was kind and extremely fast getting all of our food and tending to the group. So happy to find a good pizza place and we’ll definitely be back!

First time here, had the Zander pizza and a house salad. Both of them were very good. The staff was friendly and helpful, looking forward to trying their other pizzas when we come back.

Ordered a peperoni pizza and meatballs to go. Meatballs had hard crust and were over cooked. Pizza was also over cooked. Excellent server while we had a couple beers at the bar and the place had a great vibe. For what we ordered, $80 was a bit excessive.

First time to visit this pizza venue after reading a feature article in Tennessee Home & Farm Magazine about this unique spot. Food taste was good. Service was excellent. Pizza came out quick. We loved the Meatball appetizer! Located on Main Street in downtown Dickson.

First time ever in and we were impressed! Fantastic quality! Fresh, amazing dough, quality toppings, lots of options, fun environment, friendly service... what more can you ask for?

We absolutely loved this pizza! Thin crust, but not so thin that you can't taste the excellent dough, and wood-fired just right. We had The Dickson and loved the sauce and toppings. Price is amazing too, and the vibe is family friendly.

Zander's pizza never fails us . It's always good and fresh. Servers always are friendly. Beer selection is ok that would be the only thing I think they improve on. The restaurant has a good feel of laid back and enjoy the food and beer atmosphere.

How fun to be able to be able to watch your pizza being made and cooked in the wood fire oven! Service was quick, restaurant is clean and open, allowing everyone to view the pizza oven. And pizza was tasty! A personal pizza was a great way to try and share a few flavors without feeling stuffed!

Good pizza and great service. They also have real coffee. Don't pass it up. Surprised to find good coffee at a pizza place.

Pizza crust has been consistently burnt on every visit in the last year. It is like eating ash out of a fire pit. We keep giving them more chances because the sauce and toppings are great but today's visit will be our last.

Very cute place that was packed on Thursday night at 6. The wait for a table for 3 was about 25 minutes but worth it. We walked around the cute town and enjoyed the shops. (Most were closed but still cute) The restaurant itself had a fun vibe with plenty of space. The portions were a good size and service was great. I had the half Caesar and a create your own personal pizza. The crust was cooked nicely and everything had good fresh flavor.

Best Woodfired pizza in the area. All ingredients are fresh, they make their own sauces and sausages. Lots of excellent beers on tap, and they are fast. Even when it's crowded. Staff is always very attentive and friendly. I can tell the cooks love what they do and are proud to serve their fresh creations.

The pizza was phenomenal and the service was extraordinarily friendly. Our waitress made us feel like family and our order was super quick! The ambiance was nice with lighting and decor on point! We will definitely drive from Clarksville to eat here again...Soon!

Food was delicious. Really cool ambiance, the tile wood burning stove is a piece of art. Great friendly service. Not over friendly either. Great dinner.

Picked up a pizza to go on Saturday and apparently they forget to put on the toppings or ran out. I mean seriously there was barely any sauce let alone sausage, mushrooms and onions. Had I eaten this pizza in the restaurant it most certainly would have been sent back. Disappointed since we drove from Nashville. Looked nothing like my previously posted photo.

Arriving in the downtown area to eat at a different restaurant that was no longer in the location on Waze. We found this jewel. I had no idea downtown Dickson had so much to offer! There was about a 20 minute wait we popped into the bookstore and a few of the other shops to pass the time. You could tell the wait staff was a bit tired and they were packed. She did a great job, but it was very cut and dry. The salad was excellent! The pizza was good but not crispy enough for me in the middle. The flavors were great! I would totally go again the personal was great for splitting with two people eating. Definitely check it out!

What a wonderful experience for designer hand made pizzas. They even have gluten free choices. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and had a fantastic experience. The server was helpful, quick to respond to all our questions, and made our dining experience extra special.

Zander's is getting brutal. We ordered 2 pizzas and they charged us for 3, thank God my wife noticed. The 2 pizzas were ordered were the Zander's pizza and a large cheese, pepperoni, onions, and 1/2 with green olives. We received that pizza and did not get the Zander's pizza, we received a cheese pizza only, and were charged for the Zander's, really. My brother Stretch goes there all the time, I have no idea why. The large pizza is supposed to be 15", but most the time it is smaller. If it is supposed to be 15", it should be 15. Their sauce is good, but they need someone for Quality Control. Also they are overpriced for the size you get. Go back to the quality when you first opened. You are talking advantage of your customers.

Everything is always soooo soooo good. We built our own pizza and it was the most amazing thing ever, cooked to perfection. They had a pumpkin sour beer when we went and that was so delicious. Their sweet tea is always on point too. Not to mention the cheese bread. Service is always great, atmosphere is always chill, they're great at keeping the space clean and welcoming.

Usually love to go there, but a few items the last couple times we went. We went a couple of weeks back and one of the kitchen guys kept banging pans together, it was a little jarring. It was not constant, but very loud. Then tonight tried to eat there at 7:03 to be turned away. Now the hours for service are supposed to be to 9pm, but note on door written on a sheet of paper said closed with about 20+ still inside eating. My wife and I told by a staff member they were serving the ones inside then closing. No sorry no excuse just we're closed. Food is good, but unfortunate experiences the last two times.

This pizza was really good. I'm on my way back to NY from Joe Bob's Jamboree and I had a pizza craving. I'm really glad I went with this place. I got two personal pies. The J.R. and the Hawaiian. Delicious!

I may have reviewed Zander's in the past. It's still our favorite local pizza joint. Good beer selection and great salad along with the pizza! The hosts and wait staff are the best. Love Zander's

The good: just about everything. The pizza was amazing as always. The appetizer was also amazing (not pictured). We had a large Zander and a small JR. The Zander don't miss. The crust is amazing for wood fire and never soggy from the sauce. Very impressive. We also got a flight of homemade ice cream and it was amazing. Every bite was just exploding with flavor. They were missing a few flavors we were wanting to try so that's a bummer. The reason this trip was not 5 star and only 4 star is that the food wasn't cut that well. The appetizer (cheese sticks) was not cut at all really. The pizza was cut but not well. It made it hard while we were all sharing food. Also not spatulas to serve the pizza. That's not a huge deal but would make it easier to serve and cut if need be. Overall it was great and we will continue to make a stop here while we are in town.

No wait, could watch dough being thrown, ordered Hawaiian pizza and it was great! Good price.

Tried this place today with friends and thought it was pretty good. I just wish they offered more unique items for their craft pizza. I do love the fact that they have sopressatta, but where are the candied figs, prosciutto, truffle oil, etc? On the other hand, their crust is very very good! We truly enjoyed or visit

My dad and aunt grew up visiting Dickson and they rave about this pizza and now I see why! We made our own pizza with mozzarella, ricotta, and Soppressata-- it totally exceeded expectations! It ended up being the perfect mix of ingredients, and I would have added arugula if my aunt liked it too. We ended up getting two desserts because we couldn't decide and they were both so fantastic.. I truly could not choose one over the other. This place is so worth a drive from Nashville!

Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 5 Zanders is without a doubt one of our favorite places to take people or order a pizza. They have some great local beers as well to pair with it. Overall, everything about this place culminates into a perfect relaxing place to enjoy friends and good food.

While in Dickson for work I came here on a Wednesday night for dinner and it was packed! It stayed packed until about 8:30PM and then it seemed like everyone left at once. They have an excellent pizza and salad menu! They have a build your own salad menu loaded with delicious, unique toppings and their pizza menu is similar. The salad I got was excellent and very fresh! Pizza was very tasty and prepared quite well. Service was very nice and the place is pretty cool, with nice décor and a great vibe. Definitely recommend this place!

First, I'm not a big fan of ANY wood fired pizza, but this was the absolute best wood fired pie I've ever had. Our party of four ordered a large DIckson, two Cokes, and two waters. We dined on a rainy Wednesday night. Freddy was our server. Freddy was outstanding. Just the right balance of information, friendliness, and attentiveness. The amazing thing got me was we ordered the pizza, I went to the restroom, came back, sipped my Coke a couple of times, and the pizza was ready! Amazed at the speed, Freddy' said they were a little slow, so it came out fast. The speed was appreciated. The pizza was extremely flavorful. A perfect balance of sauce, meats, and veggies, none overpowering the other. Of course, the crust was thin and had the usual wood fired burned parts (which is why in general I'm not a big fan as stated earlier), but the crust was fairly tasty as well and definitely not over cooked. I would suggest this spot for pizza and what looked to be fine selection of draft beers. Ask for Freddy.

SOOOOOO good! The food is perfectly prepared. I got the cap rear as an appetizer, delicious. As my meal, I got the Zander personal pizza, again, delicious! The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Went with the family and enjoyed a nice evening. Service was outstanding. Very attentive. There were four of us and we each enjoyed our own personal pizza-a JR, White Bluff, Zander and a Hawaiian. In addition, each person enjoyed a tap brew. Also, one person enjoyed a Mediterranean salad. Each pizza was perfectly cooked and needless to say, exactly as we ordered. The brews were limited as far as any dark beers not being available. However, the ones that we chose were still good. The sour beer was different but excellent. The portions were plentiful so we passed on their known delicious desserts. Come to Zander's. You won't be disappointed.

The food was good, but kind of reminded me of Mod pizza. I was kind of expecting more since this is not a fast food pizza place. The service was good because we ordered it to go, went shopping and picked it up. The ambiance is great with music playing and a good vibe.

I asked for a pepperoni pizza, and this is what they bring out to me. I asked her to give me something different, and she was very rude about doing that. So her supervisor brought me out something different.

The wood fire pizza here is delicious! You can always tell when it's as good as I say it is because they are always packed. One of my favorite downtown restaurants to go to.

Second time here. Pizza is excellent. Salads are not. Tried house salad first time with homemade blue cheese dressing - yuck. Super watery. So we tried Caesar salads second time. Not good either. Lettuce all soggy. Couldn't taste any Caesar dressings and croutons are stale. Service is excellent as is pizza. Just don't order a salad

Great PIZZA!! Both my husband and I each ordered the "individual" pizza. We were hungry to start with after traveling on the road all day. We decided to stop at Zander's on a recommendation to go there, and were not disappointed one bit. The pizza is OUTSTANDING!! The service was delightful and so was the atmosphere! We left happily filled and will no doubt be back.....

So I haven't been in this place, I've only had their food truck. They have a nice food truck with a wood oven! They staff was nice and friendly. The prices for the side of the pizza was a big pricy but it's a food truck. They have fancy LED menu and the upkeep must be high. The pizza was really good. It was fresh and tasted really good. The texture of the pizza dough was really nice too. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. I definitely will stop by the restaurant if I'm ever around the Dickson area.

Pleasantly surprised at how tasty Zander's pizza is! I've been wanting to eat here forever, but have only made my way to Dickson on Sundays when it's closed. I finally got the chance to come on Saturday and I'm gonna have to come by on Saturdays more often. I went with the chicken bacon ranch personal pizza and it was the perfect size for barely $10. The hostesses were very nice and friendly as well and made sure to get everything out quickly. Way too excited to come back soon!

I do not like the tomato sauce I've had wiodfires pizza before but didn't care to much for this one but it's my opinion only ....

The Food and Service was outstanding. Our server Karissa was adorable and so helpful! We had the meatballs, personal pizzas and bourbon pecan pie with apple crisp cider! Yum Yum

Excellent wood fired pizza. Grand daughter loves going to Zander's for pizza and ice cream. We would highly recommend. Never a bad experience at Zander's.

Best in town..Never disappoints. The salads are top notch but the pizza is the real winner. They have a style to appease almost everyone. It tends to be a little pricey but you will not leave hungry.

If you like pizza, and have been to Italy, you will appreciate the wood fired pizza oven and the tasty results it produces. Of course, the chef also has a big part in the equation. I love their pizza and would recommend them to anyone. Take a chance on excellence.

Always good service. It can get very crowded on weekends but you can always expect great food and service. The Zander and the white bluff are both very good

The locals seem to like it. For me , it was just average pizza. The place was very busy, so that should say something positive about it.. I took quite a long time to get the pizza to us. The staff was very nice.

The best pizza around by a very large margin! Absolutely everything on the menu is fully thought out and absolutely delightful! So fresh, staff is always great. It's possible my the most understated part of Zander's is the ice cream with house made waffle cone!!! If you don't love it then your taste buds are broken!

The pizza was fabulous! Testimony is my 7 year old who ate an entire half all by himself! Trinity, our waitress, was fabulous. We will definitely be back!

We love Zander's, but the pies are getting too red saucy. And it's a very salty tomato paste heavy sauce. I'm starting to get freezer pizza vibes. Which is a shame because this is the best place in town. Come on Zanders!
