My family and I saw that this new Thai spot open near us and we wanted to try them out. We ordered a bunch of stuff via takeout. Here's our breakdown of the items:
Khao soi (not pictured): I ordered this at the spicy hot level. It was my favorite dish! It had a flavorful and creamy curry, egg noodles, and crunchy noodles, which gave it a nice texture contrast. I really appreciated the generous amount of chicken. I think there were at least 3 large chicken pieces. This dish was on par with Trinity Street Food's Khao Soi, IMO.
Pad Thai: My family ordered this dish at Thai hot. It was not too sweet and the heat was building with each bite. Next time, I'll add some lime for some acidity. I liked this noodle dish.
Pad Kee Mao: Good wok hey. But, this entree lacked basil in it.
Tom yum soup (not pictured): Very spicy at Thai hot. Right amount of sourness to it as well.
Tom kha soup (not pictured): Obviously, a mellower soup. It was a bit much on the coconut milk.
Thai fish cake: Good fish cake taste. But, it lacked the chunks of lemongrass in it that I'm familiar with when I order this at other Thai spots.
Chicken curry puff: meh, kinda bland. I didn't taste any chicken or curry.
Gai Yang (charcoal chicken leg quarter): my lil bro stated this tasted like bbq teriyaki chicken. He didn't think this was worth ordering next time.
Penang curry (not pictured): This was a flavorful curry, but a bit sweeter than I'd like. It wasn't my favorite curry dish. I'd choose the Khao soi over this curry.
Overall, this seemed like a solid Thai spot. I would recommend this spot primarily for the noodles and Khao soi curry. We haven't tried all the other items on their menu. So, I will update if there's any other delicious eats here. Come check them out if you're in the area.
