"Zaro’s is a local bakery mainly found in transportation terminals known for its vaguely Jewish baked goods, including oversize bagels stacked in giant heaps, and plastic-wrapped loaves of challah on display. But it also offers a beguiling range of wraps, sandwiches, soups, and pastries; in the latter category find an old fashioned pecan Danish such as one used to find at bakeries all over the city, but now rare. A fine stop for bagels, coffee, and sandwiches, including breakfast. Lox and cream cheese on everything untoasted is a New York “can’t miss,” and grabbing a fresh loaf of the chocolate babka always brightens someone’s counter. Consistently friendly and fast service, one of the classier joints in the Penn Station submarine land.

Great customer service, delicious pastries, and a tasty breakfast wrap (for dinner)! Definitely recommend if you're waiting for the train in Penn Station. I had the southwestern breakfast wrap, prune danish, and jelly donut; couldn't help getting a second pastry after I saw the awesome display

Zaro's bakery is a perfect location inside Penn station thats very convenient. The staff was really nice. The small dining seats were clean. I actually sat a bit before ordering. Bagels were bit too dry. I really enjoyed a chocolate croissant and butter crossaint. A simple crossaint is always a great bite for breakfast. My friend thought their coffee was tasty. It's definitely a great place for quick bite.

Baked goods are delicious! Bagels especially. I had a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese - amazing and so filling! A whole meal itself. Always busy for a reason! The cashier was a bit confused and had to ring up my order in two parts.

This place gets crowded pretty easily and lines are pretty long as they seem to be understaffed. I ordered a bagel with smoked salmon and it tasted ok. The bagel wasn’t toasted that well and they also don’t give enough smoked salmon to be charging $15 plus tax. I’ve been to places that charge the same amount but give twice as much salmon. Overall, the taste is quite mediocre but the employee making my order was nice.

Efficient service and quality baked goods. The morning bagel rush moves quickly, and the staff adjusts to ensure quick and easy payment. Sometimes the demands on urgency jeopardize the staff's friendliness, but it's one of the largest transportation hubs in NYC, so you can't blame them!
