"Adrian Zarzo Habraken is a man who knows what his customers want. The funky vibe of his lounge-style restaurant is the gateway to his culinary world. You can see the chefs in action in the open kitchen, and a visit to the impressive wine room is an experience in itself. Brace yourself for chef Zarzo's bold fusion of traditional Spanish recipes and progressive ideas. This is complex cuisine, but the focus lies squarely on the flavours. Perfectly fried on the skin, red mullet is combined with braised lacinato kale and fennel, fennel foam and his take on the Catalan suquet fish soup, à la bouillabaisse, with crispy prawn. This is a dish with spirit! His quest for novelty is captivating, as seen in his delectable dessert featuring a unique combination of mushrooms and chicory. Both Zarzo's wine list (with more than 2 000 labels!) and sommelier happen to be among the best in the country. Although the selection includes some excellent wines from around the globe, it is Spanish gems that are given pride of place. This is wine pairing par excellence!" - Michelin Inspector

Overall, my experience at this restaurant was mixed. Before our visit, I had clearly communicated my dietary restrictions (I do not eat red meat, shellfish, gamba/garnalen). When we arrived, the staff confirmed that they were aware of this. However, I was initially presented with a menu that consisted almost entirely of items I cannot eat. This was quite uncomfortable, as I had already provided this information in advance and expected that it would be taken into account from the start, possibly with an adjusted or alternative menu. To be fair, the team did make an effort to fix the situation, and in the end they provided dishes that I was able to eat, which I do appreciate. Still, it was disappointing that this had to be resolved after arrival rather than being properly prepared beforehand. Additionally, the service felt quite slow. There were long waiting times between courses, sometimes 30 to 40 minutes. During these long pauses, we were repeatedly served bread. While this is fine once, receiving bread multiple times instead of the next course felt more like a way to fill the waiting time. There was also a mix-up with the dessert. I was expecting a different dessert, but my partner and I were served the same one without any explanation or prior notice. While the staff did try to correct some of the issues, the overall experience left me with doubts about recommending this restaurant, especially for guests with dietary restrictions.

Google
Restaurant that is a unique experience from the moment you set the first foot inside the restaurant. The extremely friendly staff welcomes you and takes care of you until the end. Unique, innovative dishes, flavor that explodes in the mouth. I was particularly impressed by the dessert. Very high price, but given the unique experience and the research into the ingredients/dishes, it can be acceptable for extraordinary occasions.

The interior design and atmosphere is just perfectly staged - everything fits here from the furniture to the spoons. You can also come alone, the open kitchen is entertaining , the staff very welcoming and everything is quite relaxed. I can recommend the vegetarian degustation menu which comes with lots of little bites - each and everyone really special. Great selection of wine as well. One of my new favourites when it comes to fine dining 👌🏼

Google
Top quality ingredients and dishes. I love the chef’s eccentricity when it comes to pairing ingredients I assumed would not go well together. We had a holiday menu (7 courses for 100 euros) and it was worth every euro!

What an amazing place. It was in the open basement next to the wine cellar in front of an open kitchen. Where we enjoyed the all-in 6 course menu. Every course served as a piece of art itself with an special selected wine. Some wines even so taste full we bought some when we were at home again. The service was also really good. Some presentations we didn't understand completely. After asking they explained it in even more detail and a lot of passion which was really appealing. Also the sommelier did a great job in explaining a lot about the wines. Dining at Zarzo isn't just a dinner or lunch, it is the whole experience that makes it special

Google
Amazing experience from the moment you step in into the restaurant. It is cozy and relaxing. The food experience is a journey through flavors where no plate tastes the same. We chose a menu of 7 plates and while waiting they surprise you with a plate as a treat. The taste is Fantastic. You can not say it is delicious because it is more than that. Every plate tests your tasting buds and takes you on a journey of flavors. We enjoyed around 3 hours until the dessert came which was really the cherry on the top for the dinner. Prices are on the high end in money value but it was worth every bite. Keep it up.

Not just a dinner out, this is a whole experience! Everything from the reception, the design, the tables arrangement, the beautiful tableware, the super kind and helpful service, the dishes explanation, everything was perfect! Each dish was an experience itself, especially the cheesecake dessert which I had to mix myself. i looooved loved loved the cheesecake thing!! Of course it’s not necessary to mention the food itself, which was absolutely fantastic. I was in constant awe and couldn’t stop smiling. Besides enjoying great food, I had a lot of fun! I came here for a special evening with my boyfriend and cannot wait for my next visit. Thank you so much!

Google
A true culinary experience from start to finish! At Zarzo, every dish is a masterpiece, beautifully presented with refined flavors and textures that surprise you each time. The chef and his team know exactly how to turn an evening into something special.

Yelp
We were enthusiastic about the amuse-bouches. Having had large breakfast & lunch opted for a la carte choices, having asked the server the size of main course choices she responded "regular". Waiting to be served were horrified watching the sous-chef push cream on plates with his finger, lick his finger & continue with other plates. An instance of the chef tasting a sauce & keep on using the spoon then having the sous-chef taste & the spoon back in the sauce! Highway robbery what they charge for the minute amounts.

Yelp
Wow! Really a great evening out. Fantastic food! We choose for the surprise dinner of 5 courses and in all honesty, every course was a pleasant surprise of true great explosions of flavors! We had a wine & dine option and every wine fitted the courses great. For one of the courses they were serving Chardonnay, and as I mentioned to the waiter that I am not a big fan of Chardonnay he first let me taste it, and after my "this is not really my kind of wine" he brought me a great alternative for that course in a Viognier. That is understanding service and acting on it. Since December they have a Michelin star, and they earn it big time. In contrary to other "star" restaurants where I have been before, they are relaxed and not too formal, they have exceptional variety (and knowledge of) the wine menu. And sure, they are not the cheapest to go to, but for the quality, variety and wines I feel they are really well priced! Would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Fantastic food and wine. Lovely discrete staff and a pleasant decor. Very pricy so only for special occasions but we will definitely go back there

Yelp
This is the best dining experience that I have had - bar none. The food was out of this world and the tasters were so yummy! The kitchen was open to the dining room and the well choreographed ballet taking place was a delight to see. Definitely go here. You will not regret it. Plan for 2-2.5 hours as they spread out the courses and keep feeding you tasters throughout the night. Amazing time!!

Yelp
The food is good but not memorable. Interesting combinations of flavours but in the end sterile. Environment was ok. To expensive for what it offered.
