"Once through the entrance gate, make your way through an orchard planted with citrus trees to get to this restaurant occupying a charming, carefully restored 19C “palmento” (a building once used for fermenting wine) that has retained its magical and romantic atmosphere. Here, Giuseppe Raciti’s top-quality cuisine is showcased on themed tasting menus from which dishes can also be chosen à la carte. The chef’s recipes are full of references to the island, as well as personal influences which he describes as “ricordi, viaggi, esperienze” (memories, travels, experiences). Elegant guestrooms dotted around the property add to the appeal of this truly idyllic property." - Michelin Inspector

— FOOD — Had the estate tasting menu. The starter shrimp is good; the main course seabass is underwhelming. Overall, not an impressive one-star restaurant, overpriced. — SERVICE — Everyone was seated outside. There were many mosquitoes. To make it worse, a cockroach flew on our desk and drank our water. The waiter told me this is nature as we are in nature. That is a deal breaker for me.

Had a splendid experience at both of our meals at Zash Ristorante. As we were staying at the property, we were able to enjoy the full blown Michelin experience (ordered the 5 course chef’s surprise menu) on Monday evening followed by the pizza menu Tuesday (the restaurant’s “night off”) and both were stellar. Amazing views of the on-site orchard and sea in the distance. The five-course wound up being closer to 7 if you include the hefty bread course and amuse bouche which come with the order. Had some stellar Etna Bianco with both, great service and dining was five star across both very different meals. The tuna belly, ravioli and Pizza Norma were all huge hits and we trusted the Zash team to select amari and wine with little direction at both meals, and they didn’t miss.

We had the 5 courses surprise menu last night at Zash and it was a mind blowing experience! Starting from the bread which I have never tasted better before to the amazing desert.. loved the presentation, flavours and service. We have been to many Michelin star restaurants in the UK and Italy and I think this is definitely one of the top 3. Only issue/ not really an issue was the amount of food ! I recommend not having lunch if you're planning dinner there. Million thanks to the amazing chef and staff

Had high expectations given the restaurant has a Michelin star but left quite underwhelmed. The food was good but nothing special, you can get the same quality in a down to earth trattoria anywhere in Sicily. The service was really bad, cold and distant. Not once were we asked if we liked the food, it felt like being served by robots. Save your money and go to a good traditional restaurant somewhere in a less touristy village.

Stunning from start to finish! After visiting 20+ Michelin establishments, this is definitely in my top 3. Service, food and quality were all fantastic, and I am very glad to have visited. Thank you team! 🙏

We opted for the limited edition tasting menu and were not let down. The food was amazing, beautifully presented, just the right portion sizes and everything tasted great. The staff were really knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to show us around the hotel and explain the history of the building. Perfect!

Beautiful hotel, stunning facilities like the pool and the food is delicious. Mr. Daniela the sommelier/ waiter was particularly friendly and helpful always welcoming. I had a joke with him nothing was free and he had a good sense of humour about it. My girlfriend had one of the best massages she’s ever had anywhere in the spa which is also outstanding. Incredible hotel we feel lucky to have had the chance to stay here.

Lovely boutique hotel with extremely friendly staff. Great designed rooms with good amenities, everything was clean and we felt extremely welcome. The restaurant is amazing, we had the best Sicilian dinner and enjoyed our night a lot. Everything is nestled into an orange, lemon and lime grove and it’s just a lovely atmosphere. The pool is fantastic. We were welcomed with our two dogs and enjoyed our stay throughout. The only little negative thing is the train going directly by the hotel not after a few trains we basically didn’t notice them anymore. We’d come back anytime.
