I ordered the jack frost cocktail. This was like ambrosia in a cup! Also dangerous as I couldn't even taste the alcohol. If youre in the mood for super sweet, dessert like cocktails, this is the place to be.
The mezze platter is definitely worth getting if theres a group of people that are hungry. All of the dips are great, especially the hummus. The falafel are some of the best you can get in Dallas. They are crispy, full of spice on the inside, and a fluffy interior. The cheese cigars are good, but not as fantastic as they could be. Im biased because I really like the cheese cigars they serve at Baboush instead. The fattoush salad was good, but don't expect anything fancy or artisanal. The pita bread is the weakest part of the platter. It's the flat, straight from a bag pita that's filler in my opinion.
The mixed brochette isnt as good as a value or a platter as I had hoped. Most of the meat felt kinda dry and overcooked. The one meat that stood out the most was the beef kabobs. The portion of meat is also quite small for what you get. I don't expect a whole filet of steak, but I feel either they need to serve more meat, or lower the price for what you receive. The platter alos has way more rice than meat. I wouldn't recommend the brochette, but I would recommend the beef kabobs (assuming backstaff cook it right).
Service wise, our waiter and staff were cordial, but there are times where they weren't as accessible as I would have hoped. I imagine they are understaffed, as it seemed only two waiters for the whole floor on a Saturday night.
Ive been wanting to try this place for a while. Im glad I was finally able to, but I will say it seems hit and miss. While they have a lot more stuff on the menu I havent tried yet, my intial impression isnt magical.
