ZAZA Noodle

Another good noodle place with more contemporary decor. There are plenty of noodle shops in SGV but most are hole in the wall type of place. Obviously that shouldn't be a decider. However if you want a good bowl of noodles in a nicer surrounding for events or dates, this place is pretty good. Lots of different options on the menu. I really love the hot pot with noodles. Appetizers are also delicious.

Food and services were underwhelming. Need to flag down the waiter to refill water, get utensils, bowl for soup....... (Even the restaurant just have two tables)

So I'm here because Eater LA did a piece on this new place, comparing it to Mian, which is my gold standard when it comes to Sichuan style noodles in SGV. Upon entering Zaza you'll notice the space is well lit, the decors pleasant, and the table arrangement spacious. All good so far. However, once the food arrives (ordered a beef noodle and a Zaza special noodle) my rating took a nose dive - the noodles are spicy, but bland otherwise, the layered complex flavors of the authentic stuff is missing. The appetizers likewise suffer the same blandness. The beef is under cooked and the cut of the meat is tough. Adding insult to injury, the huge banner above the entryway says "Grand opening everything 20% off", but that's actually not being honored - apparently the promo is over but they haven't taken down the banner. And the final kicker is every. single. TV is tuned to FOX news here. You wanna see the Stable Genius make out with Kellyanne Conway while eating sub par noodles? This is the place for you! Otherwise? There are so many better choices in SGV, Zaza is not worth your time as it stands.

Good for some one w like spice food . The noodles is over cook . Price is a little bit higher . The service is so so . Good to try first time . Not really want come back .

This is the best Chinese noodle I had ever try in the area, especially when they serve the alcohol tofu as a dessert.

Good overall just a little too oily for my liking but what doesn't when it comes to chendu's style noddles.

非常正宗又地道的四川面馆，点了炸酱面和凉粉，味道非常满意，辣度适中。哪怕不能吃辣的朋友也能接受。开胃菜也很好吃，鸭头和牛肉干真的太喜欢了，小菜三拼很实惠！下次一定还要再来试试他们的水饺和一锅端! Very authentic and delicious Sichuan noodle restaurant! We ordered zhajiang noodles and sichuan sauce bean jelly, so yummy, moderately spicy. Even a friend who can't eat spicy still can accept it. Appetizers are also very good, we really like duck head and beef jerky! Small dish can make a combination with three! It is very cost-efficient! Next time, I must their dumplings and hot pot noodle!
