Zaza Wood Fired Pizza & Mediterranean Cuisine

Amazing pizzas made in their wood fired brick oven pizzas made fresh to order. We ordered five pizzas and they were brought to our table within 10-15 minutes. Pizzas are thin crust, which we enjoy and large for one to individually enjoy. Toppings are plentiful and brought to you straight from the oven to your table. Cozy atmosphere, Christmas lights, and multiple little country flags on the walls; while waiting for our food we trivia'ed ourselves on how many we knew. It's a great local place for a dine in for a pizza, and we continue to come back.

Greeted at the counter quickly and chose from an extensive menu of a variety of pizzas,Mediterranean food,and salads. I'm more of a traditional pizza topping lover so I went with pepperoni & mushrooms. The hot pizza came out before I was done with my very tasty Greek salad. The pizza was magnificent, Thin crispy crust,beef pepperoni and sautéed mushrooms, not overly saucy either. This pizza reminded me of the pizza I found in most places in Italy. Loved my experience and plan to be back to try more.

Service was fast and nice. Got our food within 10 minutes probably less. But the food…. Maybe crazy salty? Maybe too much vinegar. Didn’t know they put it on so probably my fault but would come again but with more specific wants. I got the pizza and shawerma. My tongue is a still burning and recovering

The service was great. However, the pizza was mediocre at best. Maybe they just aren't good at making a margarita pizza.

So happy to find halal food! We didn’t try the pizzas but they looked really good. The Mediterranean food was good, specially the fresh stuffed grape leaves! The fries were perfect too since I like crispy fries. Service was a little slow but we weren’t in a rush and I think they just didn’t have as many people working at that time. The bathroom is dark and needs a little work. They do have gluten free items but since it is a pizza kitchen there will be cross contamination on the pizza. The Mediterranean food is cooked on the other side of the kitchen but I assume there is also cross contamination risk with the pita bread. Wish they had a gluten free option for pita bread.

We tried this place for the first time and we will definitely be back!! The gyro pizza was so good!! We also had garlic parm wings they were small but the price wasn’t bad and they were delicious! We also had some lasagna everyone loved that! And the kids loved their smoothies. I love the thin crust of the pizza! & the service was great as well!

Ordered on uber eats. Arrived really quickly but unfortunately, this was the coldest pizza I've ever got delivered in my life. I had to heat it up but still tasted like it was fired up hours ago, it was hard on chewing. Presentation was also not good as you can see in the pictures. Not enough greens on it. Delivery lady was a sweetheart tho.

This place has just been added to my weekly stop list. ZaZa's is probably the most unique pizza place in the city. The woodfire taste is amazing and the food is 100% quality! Full Mederterain menu. Check them out. I promise you won't be disappointed.

For a housewarming party, my friend asked guests to bring their favorite pizza from the area in lieu of a gift. The intent was to throw a pizza party and discover all the local places around town. I live about 45min away but Yelped "pizza" in Sylvania. After scrolling through a few typical places I came across Za Za's and knew instantly that they were my pick. The day of I called my order in of 3 different pizzas to be picked up for carryout at a specified time and they were very helpful to do this. When I got there the pizzas were just coming out of the oven and I had excellent friendly checkout at the counter. The restaurant was clean inside. It was set nicely with many tables and chairs, like a fast casual joint and you could see the brick oven right there that they were pulling the pizzas out of. When I got to the party and set my pizza boxes out with all the others anyone that walked by exclaimed "who brought Za Za's?!?" Which I later understood that was a very good thing. The night goes on, everyone tried all of the pizzas at the party and is asked to write down their vote at the end, and guess what? I, I mean Za Za's won! So great pizza, great, service, and a great night that all came from Za Za's. I ordered the Mediterranean, the Parmegiana, and the Ricotta Spinachi. They were all perfect.

I was in town from Columbus last night and googled wood-fire pizza in Toledo. We had it DoorDashed in so it wasn't completely fresh. I have to say I was absolutely impressed! The crisp is excellent,the taste rivals some of the best I've had. It's very light so I ate the entire thing and at $11.49 you can't beat it! Will be back to Toledo just for the pie!

We have been by this establishment many times, and this was our first visit. The young man at the counter was very helpful in providing recommendations based on our likes / dislikes. The food was quite good and priced fairly. Smaller dining area, but it was adequate as it seems the bulk of their business was takeout orders. Plenty of foot traffic in and out while we were dining. I would recommend this location when you are in the area.

Pizza tasted more like a cracker with pizza sauce. It just didn't taste good. The crust was bland and dry.

The food is so yum! Amazing pizza and the salad omg. The service is always friendly. Great ambiance as well.

We visited Zaza on a Friday night. I was a little concerned when we walked in at 7pm and the dining room was empty, usually not a great sign, but I really wanted to give it a try. I'm glad we did. We did notice that they do a fairly brisk takeout business. We ordered the Greca pizza and the Gyro plate, I'll start with the pizza. The pizza was a nice size and would easily make a meal for two if paired with a salad. I wish I had taken a pic of the pizza, it looked as good as it tasted. The flavor was fantastic and the crust was the perfect level of thin and charred you expect in a good wood fired pizza. The toppings were plentiful and delish, especially the gyro meat...Yum! Now on to the gyro plate, it wasn't quite as impressive. The gyro by it's self was great, their meat in very flavorful. The platter part left a lot to be desired. It comes with rice, hummus and pita, and veg. The hummus was very good but there was only a very little bit. The veg was 2 slices of cucumber and 2 slices of carrot but the carrot was dried out. The rice was the biggest disappointment. It tasted (and looked) like the bagged yellow rice you buy at the store, definitely not the rice I expect on a gyro plate. Next time, if I decide I want the gyro I will order just the sandwich and not the platter. We will definitely give them another shot.

We miss this place! When we lived near Toledo Ohio we came here often. We loved their food n personalities. We also loved a restaurant over there that went out of business called YaHallas or something like that. The Golden City Chinese Restaurant in Point Place Michigan was amazing too. And Richter Chalet was amazing up near Southgate Michigan or Lincoln Park Michigan or r somewhere around there n we looked it up n it went out of business. It was the best German food around in the whole USA. We are sad over this but glad Zazas is still around! If we ever visit we will go back here for an amazing dinner n desert! The service is great. The ambiance is very casual n kind of a cold like atmosphere but that was fine. Not sure what it is like now. It's been a few years. We Miss You! :)

Worst pizza ever! Thin crust more like paper thin with no sauce, barely any cheese or toppings and tasted even worse than paper! Definitely will never order again or recommend to anyone.

Returned for another Margherita - this is THE BEST PIE in Toledo, hands down. Consistency in quality and service, Zaza is top notch.

Been there many times. Great food and their salads are the best we've had anywhere. Very friendly people and service is also very good.

Was in town for work and wanted to give this place a shot after I saw it driving back to the hotel! Hands down some of the best pizza I've had in a while!! The flavor from the woodifre is amazing and everything was fresh and great quality! Highly recommend you guys give this spot a try. Food was on time and service was great the young man at the counter was very friendly! Hope to be back in town soon just to get the carne pizza again!!

Pizza was fresh and delicious. Thin crust was great! Hummus with gyro meat was delicious and fresh. We ordered 4 different pizzas. All were loved by each person. Was up for a big salad for lunch. On ZaZa's site, the "Spring Salad" looked good, though when I got to the counter I was informed it was unavailable today. OK then. Chose the chicken fatoush instead and was generally pleased. Vegetables were fresh, though dressing could have used more lemon, and the portion of chicken was small considering the $2.99 upcharge. I'd try them again. Pizza offerings looked creative, and I still want that Spring Salad!

I've driven past this place for years and always wondered how the food was. They were recently added on door dash and I gave them a shot the other night. I couldn't have asked for better food. Everything was fresh and had such great flavor. Can't wait to go back again.

The food and service at Zaza are exceptional. The pizza is fresh and wood fired. If you have not visited this restaurant you're missing a hidden gem.

I stopped by ZaZa Tuesday afternoon to see what it was all about. They have a very extensive pizza menu that makes it quite difficult to choose one. They all sound so delicious! I chose the Quattro Stagioni. It came with Sautéed Mushrooms, Turkey Ham, Herb-Marinated Artichokes, Kalamata Olives, Fresh Pizza Sauce, & Fresh Mozzarella. I also added free arugula. The pizza came out pretty fast and was delicious. Prices are pretty standard. They have a great lunch special that is worth checking out.

Yesterday my boys and I tried ZaZa's. We've decided that every week we are going to try a vegan pizza from a different location. They each got vegan cheese and pineapple, which are their usual topping request. I got a vegan version of their #15, which was vegan cheese, artichoke, sundried tomatoes, and basil. They were all okay. We're looking forward to a new pizza place next week.

I am in town for a month and in 2 weeks I've eaten here 3 times. Pizza is good. Nice wood fired crust. Lasagna was nice size and very good as well. The garlic cheesy bread was a surprise .. basically it is a pizza with sauce on the side.. huge. The grains bowls are out of this world for veggie heads.

Smokey goodness. Thin New York style pizza, but totally unique options. Please don't get a boring pepperoni pizza here, if that's even an option. Get a specialty pizza. Hell, get the Mediterranean. That's the one you want. Also, you'll eat at least half a pizza, so if you're a huge eater, expect to eat the whole thing.

This is one of my favorite pizza places in Toledo. Not only do they have halal pepperoni but they also have many exotic flavors. I highly recommend the spicy Diablo pizza. In addition to their great pizza they also make very great Middle Eastern food. I highly recommend their hummus and baba ghanouj.

I've been to Toledo many times and I had never noticed this place across the street from my hotel but on my last trip, I tried it on a whim and im so glad I did! The wood fired pizzas are excellent...such good flavor and excellent crust! I may try something else off the menu tomorrow! Excellent quality food. Do yourself a favor and eat here

Selection of food is incredible for a pizza place great Mediterranean selections. You must try the pizza cooked in a woodfired oven it taste amazing. I love the thinner crust and ample toppings and the staff really steps up ! I totally recommend trying it it's off Ceco Road and enterprise Boulevard easy to get to lots of parking atmospheres knows you will not regret it. Enjoy your visit

I got pizza tonight and paid extra for kalamata olives. Clearly there aren't enough here to warrant the price they charge to add them! I was also there the other night and for the third time in a row they didn't have any celery to go with the hot wings. The food is good but they really skimp on toppings that they charge an arm and a leg for.

Went here for a gyro and asked for no onions. Had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get a new sandwich made. U think they would offer you something free for messing up your order like a free pop for your wait or something. Nope just a wack apology and a new sandwich. I know I will never eat here again.

Took my kids to this family owned business and the customer service was awesome even though it was a younger cashier. They were very interactive with my toddler and helpful with the menu options. But the food was amazing the wings were evenly coated in a great sauce and the cheesy bread was definitely worth it. Going to be patronizing this business more often!

Best lentil soup I've ever had. Their pizza is delicious. Tastes authentic and always fresh. I'm always ordering food from here!

One of my favorite restaurants in Toledo. Zaza's is unique for doing both pizza and Mediterranean food, and doing it well. The best part is that you can taste the high quality ingredients that they use. I highly recommend the BBQ chicken, Diavolo, Mediterranean, and Pollo Arrosto Pizzas. Their fries are great too!

Went there twice and always had the lasagna with the lentil soup.The staffs are very nice and polite.The lasagna is very tasty but gets overwhelming at the end.It is not like a home made one but nonetheless it is quite good.Lentil soup comes with a piece of lemon and we also took pita chips to dip in the soup.It was great.The texture of the soup was perfect.

First time here. Ordered three different pizza's and lentil soup. The place is very nice. Casual atmosphere. Setup kind of like five guys. You order, take number, grab your drink and silver wear then sit at any table. Restaurant is very clean, the service was very friendly and helpful. Soup was very flavorful. Pizza was fresh, thin, toppings were the perfect amount. Menu had all kinds of different pizza's (all meat toppings were either beef or turkey base) salads and Mediterranean dishes. I'll definitely come back here again.

Just finished a disappointing pizza from the highly rated ZaZa pizza place Since vivid 19 we plan to go to different pizza spots every other week for takeout. Seven so far in the Toledo area and this was by far the worst. We threw out most. The crust was like cardboard so we scraped off the toppings. Underwhelming at best.

First time at this Restaurant and absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I recommend this Place!!! Am excited to have a menu with no pork. The Pizza is not greasy, that's a Plus and the Restaurant is decorated just the way "The Owner" likes it.

A delicious surprise. ZaZa's Brick Oven Pizza & Mediterranean restaurant is fantastic! After a very long second leg of our road trip, we stopped in Toledo, OH for the night. The warm, comfortable interior and friendly staff were immediately welcoming. We ordered the pizza special, the chicken diavolo pizza. This pizza was balanced, slightly spicy and very very tasty. Made with chicken, hot sauce, capers, sundries tomatoes and cheese, this pizza had just the right savory balance highlighted by the sweetness of the sundries tomatoes and briny capers. We left nothing to take home we enjoyed it so much. In addition to the pizza, we ordered a Greek salad, which was fresh and delicious, and ample. ZaZa's is a recommended restaurant when you pass through Toledo, OH.

We ordered the Speck and Ricotta Spinachi. Both pizza's were very tasty. Completely different flavors. They have lots of different flavors to choose from for the individual pizzas. They are large enough to fill me and my wife. They also offer other Mediterranean dishes including gyro's and shawarma. This is a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then sit down and they bring the food to your table. I recommend this place for a good causal dinner.

Best baklava ever!! High food to cost ratio on the Mediterranean platters and a lot of pita bread comes with it. And to top it off their smoothies are friggin awesome it was like putting a straw in a loose apricot.

Ordered the pepperoni garlic cheesy bread- awful- tasted like cardboard- it was cold and had absolutely no flavor. Ordered the Greek salad and it tasted like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a week with the dressing on it- the lettuce was wilted and the whole salad was soggy and gross. Don't eat here.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile! We have never been here before and immediately the young man at the counter was quick to help! My husband, son, and I all got a pizza and a small hummus to split! It was all absolutely delicious! My picky 5 year old almost ate an entire pizza to himself, my husband polished his off and I took a few slices of mine home to enjoy the next day!!! Wonderful food, kind staff, we will definitely be back!! Their menu is huge and they seem to run some pretty awesome specials! So happy we found this place!

Horrible, the wings were pathetic wouldn't serve to my dog and when I called and complained I was schooled on how we have the best wings and never had a complaint... in my line of business if someone complains we APOLOGIZE and drop stop and roll to fix it.., Don't eat there EVER!!

Delicious Gyro platter but ask for extra meat and make sure they give it to you. I paid for extra meat and didn't get it, so make sure to check. Ambiance is questionable and no alcohol but good food and very nice staff.

I've been on a quest to find a delicious gyro in the city of Toledo. I've been to a couple restaurants where they're good, but something isn't perfect - way too big to try to eat with your hands, tough pita, etc. I've heard about Zaza for a while now, but it wasn't until we dropped off something at the UPS Store next door that I noticed a sign in their window advertising gyros. There are lots of reviews for Zaza's pizza, hummus, and falafel but nothing about their gyros. This past Sunday, I decided to give Zaza's a try. I ordered the gyro platter, which comes with fries or rice, and soup or side salad. I opted for the rice and side salad. The gyro sandwich was fantastic! A generous portion of meat without being overwhelming, crisp onion, fresh tomato, and tzaziki sauce on the side. The bread was warm, pillowy, and delicious. The rice and side salad were OK but not really needed given the perfect size of the gyro. I was very disappointed with the salad dressing and ended up not even using it. Next time, I'll just get the gyro on its own. Altogether, I may have found one of the best gyros in Toledo! If you're a fan of gyros, give Zaza's a try!

I like going here because of the great vegan options that are offered. I always get the Z'Vegan pizza when I go and am not disappointed. The thin, wood fired crust makes it a nice option compared to most other pizza places around. My only complaint is that the olives aren't sliced, which means they fall off my pizza easily because there is no cheese to hold them in place. But hey, that just means I have to be more careful while I eat it. Overall, a great and delicious pizza experience. I come here probably two or three times a month.

Once again this Phavored Phat Girl was Jonesing. This time it was for Lasagna. Some thick, meaty, cheesy lasagna. Where to? I looked online and decided to try ZaZa. The flavors were really good but it was very thin and not a very good portion size. There was a small salad that came along as well. For 10 bucks it was okay but as far a the lasagna option I would go to Cottage Inn. For 13 bucks you get a huge portion of lasagna, salad and a small order of bread sticks. However, definitely interested in trying the pizzas at ZaZa.

I love this pizza! It's so light & they have so many topping options. The staff is always super friendly & the service is always fast. Only negative is the plaza parking situation & that's not their fault. You should try this place!

Have heard a lot about this place!!! So tonight we stopped with the kids. I'm giving 3 stars not because it was bad but it just didn't meet our expectations. Needless to say, we go to ALOT of pizza places. The two best things about Zaza's was the pizza and the service. We also got cheese bread and calzone's. The pizza was good just extremely thin. Kids liked it and so did the adults. But the other food was fair. As for the pizza we like a tradition crust better like Aimee's or Gino's, etc. I'm fearful when Blaze goes in that Zaza's will be in trouble. I believe Blaze is a little bit better but similar. Worth going if your in the area but not a special trip.

First time in Toledo and was looking for places to eat with my family and found this gem. The pizza was GREAT and we all enjoyed it. Friendly employees and a cute place suited for all ages. Side note: the place was impeccably clean. My cousin and I noticed that. Totally recommend!
