Went on a Wednesday night so was a little quiet but the decor was a bit dated. I ordered vegan from the set menu which was well accommodated by the staff. The food was good but some of the courses were not ‘wow’. To me the place is a little dated compared to other fine dining places I have been to. The staff were amazing and did such a great job and held a high level of professionalism. If you like fine dining and want an experience this is a good place to visit, however, I think you could get some tasty meals for less in the area.

We asked for a nice place to have dinner while in Quito, and Zazu was recommended. It was excellent! The atmosphere was upscale but relaxed. Service was great. The food was superb! My wife had the duck and it was cooked perfectly. I had the crispy fish and it was delicious. If you’re staying at the JW Marriott, it’s $10 round trip in a cab and you need to take the cab.

We went on a recent trip to Quito and the food did not disappoint. The platting was beautiful and the food was delicious. We did the vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairing and it was excellent. The service was okay and definitely not up to the same standard as the food but we had an amazing experience regardless. If you are in Quito, this is definitely worth the price tag!

Highly recommend the Chefs tasting menu with the pairing. Each course is somehow better than the last.

If you are in Quito and love fine dining/haute cuisine, Zamu stands shoulders with the 2 Michelin stars we have enjoyed in Europe and US

The service was impeccable and every dish was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the mixed ceviche and the catch of the day and the almond soufflé for dessert.

I had a great time at Zazu. I brought my nephews and nieces for dinner and we all enjoyed our food. Our waiter, a Cuban guy, was particularly friendly and nice. His recommendations were spot on. The desserts were also delicious. The ambiance was quite impressive…loved the lighting and the decor. I highly recommend this place.
