Friendly, family owned and operated restaurant. The cover charge includes bread, Prosecco and an amuse Bouche. Good wine list, not many by the glass and they don’t list them separately. It’s like a fishing expedition to find the wine by the glass. Typical menu in Genova. Lots of fish and pesto. So I tried the eggplant parmigiana and it was delicious. Carbonara was good, really liked generous amount of bacon. Lovely dining room. Large tables. Nice staff. Very professional service. A real treat, but expensive. Total check for one was 76€

We have tried different dishes here over our stay in Genoa and I must say everything was delicious. From Carbonara to fish and desserts are absolute heaven in the mouth. I will strongly recommend to all my friends this special place as this is a must go place if you are visiting Liguria region. Love it and will be back. Magdalena

From the very moment we arrived we knew this was a truly family restuarant. The greeting was genuine and the attention to service was first class. We even had the patriarch dining in house on the night. This was one of the best food and wine experiences we have had in our trip so far. We are 5 months in, so I think I can safely compare many restaurants and this one is right up there for the number 1 spot. The food was incredible - pesto pasta, Lamb and Cotoletta Milanese were excellent. The lemon sorbet was a real treat - made at the table.

What a special evening. Established in 1939, Zeffirino is a very famous restaurant in Genova, especially for its pesto and of course cuisine. Thanks to Marco and his Uncle for spoiling us rotten. Best experience we had in Genoa. Focaccia di Recco was exceptional. It is set for us forever as the golden standard. My husband had the best steak and I simply enjoyed my seafood soup and tiramisu. We would definitely come back here.

Nestled just off XX Settembre you will find Zeffirino. This place got my attention because it was apparently Frank Sinatra’s Favourite restaurant in Genova, so I had to go check out what the fuss was all about. The evening was highly enjoyable, very good quality food and great presentation. Service was a little slow hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Compliments to the chef, just next time if the food could come a little faster please :)

Really enjoyable and delicious lunch al fresco with excellent service from Christian. Beautiful ingredients simply prepared. Expensive but worth it. Pesto pasta, Insalata mozzarella, fresh sea bass all recommended!

Although the serving staff was most friendly, it is impossible to understand the high Google rating of 4,5****stars. The food was absolutely way below standards. None of the 5 disrespect weten up to standaard or satisfying. Even my son of 12 years old can Cook a better spaghetti caborana than this....and the price of €20,- is therefore really way over priced. Not to speak about the tagliatelle with over cooked chewy lobster...at €40,- at a Michelin restaurant price level....way over priced. All in all a serious dissapointment. Friendy staff cant compensate for low quality food. I am very sorry. The balance price vs quality just does not add up here. Therefore the harsh 2**star rating.
