We dined at Zeffirino Genova on June 30th during the second stop of our cruise, and the experience was unforgettable. The food was absolutely delicious, and we were treated to a special pesto-making class led by an executive chef. He demonstrated how to make traditional pesto from scratch and transform it into fresh pasta right before our eyes. For our meal, we were served a beautifully prepared fish dish topped with nuts and accompanied by potatoes. The ravioli and linguine with pesto were simply perfecto—rich in flavor and full of class. To end on a sweet note, we were given a complimentary dessert that tasted like a wine or rum cake—moist, flavorful, and the perfect finish to a sophisticated and memorable dining experience.

Amazing food and amazing service! The owner was present throughout the evening, helping wherever needed and chatting with both staff and guests. You can tell he truly cares about the restaurant — and the flavors proved it as well.

Went last year for my sisters birthday and I still think of this place. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and above all the service was phenomenal. The staff were so friendly and we even took pictures with the chef and owner❤️❤️❤️😘

Truly one of my favorite places I’ve ever eaten at. Even my dad who is famous for saying that things always taste “fine” said it was delicious. The service was fantastic, and everyone was so nice. I will definitely be trying to come back here while on my trip.

As an Italian, food isn't just nourishment, but an experience, and, if you happen to find yourself in Genoa, then you must experience the gem that is Zeffirino. Genoa being the home of pesto, I'd recommend you try the Mendilli de saea al pesto Genovese (recommended to me by a local I bumped into on the way to the restaurant). A culinary delight that will truly tantalise your tastebuds and leave you wanting to return. Thank you Marco Zeffirino Belloni.

A lovely restaurant with tradition, decent prices and wonderful staff. Particulary the staff who goes above and beyond. The restaurant was opened in 1939 and has passed down three generations. The visitors include both popes, Frank Sinatra, Madonna and Pavarotti. The staff are friendly, know their craft and have good humor. This is a must place visit in Genoa
