Zehntkeller Iphofen - Romantik Hotel & Weingut

Beautiful old hotel, in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are generally very nice (feedback from my friends traveling with me), although my room was both quite hot (2nd floor), and the bed was quite hard. And the service crew / suppliers are making a lot of noise outside from very really in the morning (06:00), dragging carts across the cobbled entrance The crew is very welcoming and friendly, and you get the feeling that they want to help. The food is generally good, although we did notice a few culinary mistakes over the course of the 5 nights we stayed here. The top points here are the beautiful buildings, the beautiful interior, the beautiful surroundings and the friendliness of the service team.

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are good and the food in the restaurant is first class. We had issues with reception at both arrival and check out. After a long and tiring journey by bicycle to be initially told that there was no record of our reservation was disappointing. There was apparently a problem with the computer. Then at check out the card machine did not function properly and we had to ask a friend to pay on our behalf. The card had worked perfectly up to then and perfectly subsequently. We would expect such a hotel to be a bit sharper. We were woken at 7am by a skip delivered to the garden outside our room with digger trucks moving earth until we left later in the morning. Maybe this kind of landscaping work would be better underken outside of peak tourist season. The food was very good, although one of our party of 6 had their main course delivered 15 minutes before the rest and was told to start eating before it got cold.

A delightful characterful hotel in a lovely small wine town where we were very well looked after. We took the deal that included an imaginative four course dinner including their wine in what was a lovely cosy dining room. The main hotel building is comfortable, cosy and traditional with friendly service. The only shame is that there doesn't really seem to be anywhere to sit and relax and have a drink as it would have been nice to have had a glass of wine in a bar or lounge if there was one.

A very smart and luxurious hotel. Drive through the large gate into a different world. An ample carpark is behind the building. The room was excellent, the staff were welcoming and efficient. The food was good. An excellent place to stop.

The Hotel Zehntkeller is the ideal place to stay when visiting historic Iphofen.|The service, food and accommodation were of the highest level. |I have stayed for one night and chose a package where a gourmet dinner was included. The well appointed room was very clean and well maintained with all comfort of a first class hotel.|The gourmet dinner with a separate local wine for each course, was very good. The food was freshly prepared with local ingredients and tasted excellent! The service was friendly and competent.|The owner of the hotel was around to greet guests, which is a very nice gesture, which only adds to the personality of the hotel.|This hotel is a wonderful place to stay and I only can recommend it!

Very pretty place and a great hotel to stay in. The wines are very good and not too expansive. The rooms are very large, clean and in a very good condition. The bathroom is very clean and feels new. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to check the restaurant at night as it was too late. The breakfast was very good, diverse and fresh. Overall highly recommended. There is a large private parking as well.

Very clean large room (42). Nice bathroom with two sinks. Separate toilet. Free bottle of mineral water. No air-conditioning. Quiet area in medieval village. Wlan free. Breakfast buffet very extensive. Great Coffee.||Restaurant with good service but price/quality too high. We have had our diner under the grape summer house. Pleasant seated.

We anticipated a luxury hotel but we were really disappointed! The size of the room was fine but the beds were extremely hard. No coffee machine in the room! Food in the restaurant was mediocre at best and expensive! The village is quite charming!
