Downtown’s midweek open‑air hub blends farm vendors, lunch options, and live music—great for a stroll between meetings. Listed active for 2025 with Wednesday hours at Zeidler Union Square.

Beautiful cute and small park area perfect for sitting and enjoying a sunny day or lunch.

Little park. Has a Bublr station, a historical marker and a gazebo. A couple of paths and a few park benches round it out. The park gets decorated for the holiday season; Christmas trees, globes, lights, and presents... might be good for a few glowing nighttime pictures.

This Square was a highlight of our trip to Milwaukee from Madison last night. The holiday decorations were outstanding! There were many festive decorations with seats where you could have photos taken of groups or solo. There was even a huge Season's Greetings picture frame where you could have your photo taken (great idea for a photo Christmas card!). The entire atmosphere was conducive to meeting others & getting into the Christmas spirit while taking photos of one another & chatting about the other locations in which to see holiday lights. Will definitely be telling friends about this lovely Square!

Ziedler Union Square is a fantastic quaint urban park. It’s loud due to traffic of a downtown core but still peaceful. There is an incredible amount of shade due to tree lines and a wide variety of benches and picnic tables. Portapotties were on-site when we were. The gazebo has 4 outlets for power. There are bus stops, bike-share options, and street parking at this park.

They have such a nice display of Christmas lights. Lots of photo op spots. Parking is free after 6pm, so it was a nice free little visit. They had a photographer there who will take your picture in Santa's big chair. It was all very cute.

We got lost searching for the jingle bus and turned down a road to see this beautiful park! We parked and explored all the beautiful Christmas decorations! The park is gorgeous!

Yelp
Zeidler Union Square is pretty much a standard park in a city with many parks. It's small, but a nice place to bring your dog for a short stroll if you are nearby. On Wednesdays June through the end of October the park comes alive when a farmers market is held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. featuring local produce, crafts, live music and food vendors. Get there early if you only have an hour and plan to order from a food vendor! There is a unique gazebo in the park which is industrial in nature, and features an interesting roof if you step in and look up. The bordering fences also tell an interesting tale. Parks are generally places where people like to hang out, however this park seems to sometimes attract people who might be considered to be loitering rather than enjoying the park's virtues, but overall I dub this park A-OK.

Yelp
This cute little park is a nice place to eat a bag lunch al fresco, depending on weather and homeless squatters (at times either or both can make the place unattractive). Being downtown it's a good location to people watch, it's also a nice place if you want to meet some random dogs. It's a fitting memorial to brave Mayor Zeidler, and it's the traditional staging and departure site for the annual Labor Day parade into Laborfest.

Yelp
There's something quaint and old-timey about Zeidler Square. Maybe it's the pavillion? The huge old trees? Sure, it could use some TLC - but I enjoy the character this tiny little green space has, surrounded by buildings and concrete in the heart of downtown. Zeidler Square is home to the Westown Farmers Market - and there's nothing better than heading down on your lunch to pick up some local produce, get a bite to eat, and daydream of the MKE days of old - and what this space was home to hundreds of years ago.

Yelp
I walk through Zeidler Park every day on my way into work. It's small, with a gazebo in the center that has a Christmas tree and light display during the holidays - as well as around the entire park during the season. This creates a nice ambiance in the area. Additionally, Milwaukee's Westown Association holds the Westown Farmer's Market there every Wednesday from June to October. Lots of fresh produce vendors, crafts, prepared food, baked goods, jewelry, massage stand, and LIVE MUSIC on the gazebo. Acoustic, jazz, Irish, folk, etc. The market is definitely the highlight of the year - lots of people working in the area look forward to coming out to this every Wednesday.

Yelp
Super cute little park in downtown Milwaukee - just in front of the We Building and behind the Grand Ave Mall. I really like how they put a design on the bus stop shelter. It looks awesome.

Yelp
I adore this pet-friendly park. My four legged and two legged family and friends have walked these side walks. This park is directly across from We Energies. They put on a great Christmas light display. Many fond memories here will keep this as one of my favorite MKE parks.

Yelp
Tucked away on the corner of Michigan and 9th Streets, the Zeidler Union Square is a tiny grassy park that sits in front of WE Energies and the Boston Store. There isn't a lot to say about the park. It's not glamourus and bodes a gazebo in the center. It's biggest benefit is a place for your furry pals in the midst of the city. It's often used by non-profit organizations to serve the needs of the community (e.g. feeding the hungry). I do appreciate that the park system still assembles a light display each winter season. It serves its purpose and glad to see a little green space in the middle of Milwaukee.

Yelp
I used to work right across thew street from the park (We Energies). It was awesome having a little park in front of me when I walked out the front doors. At christmas, Zeidler has a great lights display. In summer, check out the farmer market on Wednesday mornings. They offer a really good vendor selection. They even have live music there during the market and at other times. Grand Avenue Mall is on the other side of the park. There is street parking around the park. It will cost you 25 cents a minute. Most people walk to this park for a break during the work day. Check it out if you are ever in the area.
