** Please check your drinks prior to taking a sip!** I'm hoping this will bring attention to what seems like an ongoing issue. There is a heavy amount of debris in my drink from the machine. Employees are not taking the time to clean out the drink machines properly. This is the 3rd time I've had an issue with the drinks. I mentioned this the second time it happened nicely to the front counter. On a positive note, the food is really great, I have not had any issues with bad food. Thank you and I hope we can address this issue, would love to remove this bad review!

I've heard from friends that Zeigler's BBQ is their favorite go-to for barbecue for many years and I understand why after trying it myself! The Pulled Chicken with the Spicy BBQ Sauce along with the Tangy Slaw and Mac and Cheese was a delightful meal! The fried okra is perfect too! The staff were polite in greeting me and helping me select my meal. I enjoyed looking around the dining area while I waited for my order - it was around dinner time, but I got it quickly despite the room being filled with other diners. Overall the food, service, and atmosphere at Zeigler's BBQ is something to be appreciated and enjoyed. I encourage others to try this restaurant to support local family business and experience the personal touch and care they put into their food!

OMG this food is nasty, the brisket is DRY and cold… MAC N CHEESE horrible!!! BBQ was unreal meaning stop selling it.. I’m very upset lost my money in this food.

So I am having to rate this one star simply because big shanty smoke house was closed today. Now I wish I would have waited till they opened. When I called in my order at 12:23pm I was told that it would be ready by 1:00pm. I arrived at 1:10pm. The order wasn't ready. First let me start off by saying my order total was $110.78. Now for the food it's self. First we where not give our entire order. Second the brisket was so dry that it was almost like beef jerkey. Third the Brunswick stew tasted like straight pepper and that's the only thing you taste. Forth the slaw was just not good at all Now I called the store and informed them that they left items off my order and then I asked if there brisket is usually this dry. The response I got was "not usually this early during the day, but yes it gets dry towards the end if the day." She said "would you like me to put in an order for your missing items?" I told her no. It's pouring down rain and they where 20 minutes away. NO I didn't want to go back and pick it up. I would like to have really took the entire order back. However I figured I would simply right thus review. I also figure that they would offer a partial refund. But that didn't happen. Either. Oh well won't happen again.

The atmosphere is great here, super clean and very nice inside! The food was cooked very well and the staff were super nice. I had to take a star off due to all of the sugar used. It’s in all of the sauces, slaw and baked beans. It taste great at first but by the end all of the sugar just punched me in the face. Granted, I don’t eat much sugar and that might be the reason. We will still come back again so don’t let the above hold you from here. It’s still a great place.

I generally don’t leave reviews but this place was by far the worst bbq i have ever had. All for $30, they essentially gave me two buns and unseasoned, hard, distasteful meat. Oh, i can’t forget the flavorless, unsalted fries straight from the neighborhood grocery store frozen isle. Then to top it all off, they gave me the tiniest cup of banana pudding. Probably the only decent part of the meal was the spicy sauce. Terrible food. Not worth a single dime, let alone $30 🤮

edit: they connected with me very quickly after this and made it right just wanted to update my review this is what 40$ worth of food gets you my grandmother and i placed an order over the phone for a plate and a pork salad i was told by the young girl on the phone to hurry and get there because they would be closing soon (over 45 mins before close) i rushed up there only to wait 20 minutes for my food (besides the point) i get home the pork is so dry and cold to the touch and i got nothing but skin and burnt brisket which isn’t cheap the mac and cheese was frozen literally solid and my grandma salad was entire pieces of lettuce (like someone just ripped a piece off an entire head of lettuce) and her pork on her salad was also extremely dry and cold neither of us even ate the food it was that bad and i didn’t receive the ranch that was suppose to be included nor did i even receive the one i paid extra for either i worked here in high school and they had such high standards this was my first time returning as a customer (5 years later) and i was extremely disappointed they are more focused on getting you out the door then ensuring you have quality food and a quality experience so not only has the quality of the food diminished so has the customer service so if you’re coming here expecting the same experience you experienced before i have very low hopes you’ll receive that

Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Today I tried the daily special. I liked the beans and the sausage, but I couldn't get into the brisket. It looked great, but was super dry and had weird taste. I tried to cover it in sauce, but it didn't really help. Maybe leftovers from yesterday and that's why it was on special.. who knows. Just a guess. I lived in Memphis for the last 12 years and have had tons of excellent brisket. I'll try again when not on special. Maybe just an off day as this place gets great reviews, or my taste buds are used to a different region.

Got the family pack for a holiday meal. Everything was well packed and delicious. We had pork and chicken. Sides - Mac and cheese, fried okra, baked beans, slaw and rolls. Great sauce! Would order again and recommend.

Oh. My Gosh. Do yourself a favor and go order literally anything on the menu. I got the Pulled Chicken Dinner (2 sides) with their famous mac-n-cheese and green beans. I ordered a third side of creamy coleslaw. It comes with a dinner roll too. The mac-n-cheese is IT you guys. The green beans are made with bacon, salt and pepper, and apple cider vinegar. My husband got the brisket combo (1 side). The fries were standard cut fries, salted. I need to take a moment to acknowledge the tenderness of the BRISKET!! It makes you wanna cry. We aren't from the area so I was excited to go when I heard they were good, but wow! Do stop by. I recommend the brisket more than the chicken and the chicken was amazing!

One of the few places in Acworth that's notable. Being from "the north" aka Chicago, I assumed that ATL would be a hub for BBQ. But it's actually quite hard finding really good BBQ! And it didn't help either that I moved to the middle of nowhere. There's fast food and a few mediocre local spots for American fare. However, my husband was craving ribs and our neighbors said that Ziegler's was great so we checked it out. So thankful that we did because it is so good! We have since gone back numerous times and never had anything bad there. We have now moved to the other side of Atlanta and we still think about Zeigler's. Probably the only restaurant we miss having moved from Cobb to Gwinnett county. If you're in the area or even just passing by, definitely stop and get you a plate!

Good ribs. Good brisket. Good beans. Potato salad was ok. Coleslaw was ok. 2 lunch meals were $50. Not the best value.

Came here with my family on a Saturday afternoon recently. #1, Poor service. Front desk girl couldn't be bothered chatting it up with co-workers and not being helpful at all to new local customers trying to find a menu. #2, Small portions for the price. Spare ribs meals had very small sides of mac n cheese, fries, baked beans, and potato salad. #3, Food poisoned. After eating later that afternoon we became sick from food. I called many times and requested to speak with the owner who was not to be found. I spoke with Jessica who said he would call me back the next day but never did. I'm disappointed and won't go back. If you want quality bbq for the price, go to Williamson Brothers. The hell with these guys.

Very good BBQ for a good price! They have their own BBQ sauce that matches great with the meat!

Bbq is outstanding they do not have baby backs but the flavor is really good. They are very quick with service and they take the time to try an get to know their customers. There is a kind of welcome home vibe here they want you to have a good meal and be happy they want to know their customers!

Ribs were big and great while dinning in. I went back for take out, they weren't as big. Good flavor though. Could have a little bit more smoke flavor to it.

You know that scene on the office where Toby comes back to HR and Michael screams "NO! NO! NOOO!" That's exactly my review for this place. The mac and cheese? Overcooked, no seasoning, no creaminess, NADA. The meat- all of it- mushy and cold and bleak. The baked beans? From a can. The peach cobbler was gelatinous! If I could give 0 stars I would. Please, oh lord almighty, do not dine here. They even served our pulled pork sandwiches on ice cold buns. Run! Save yourself! The ambiance was cold, dark and the place was basically void of people. Probably for a reason.

We loved the food here. We ordered the family pack for 6, which included pulled pork, pulled chicken, mack and cheese, coleslaw, buns, and fries. Overall, it had flavor and tasted fresh. We could not leave without banana putting. It was amazing! I'm definitely coming back.

We had an event in our backyard this past weekend for 60 guests catered by Zeigler's BBQ and Catering. Everyone continued to ask where the food was from and guests couldn't' stop talking about how delicious it was! Guests especially loved the brisket, Mac and cheese, sweet tea, and baked beans - but honestly everything was great. Al - who handled the catering - was also extremely helpful throughout the process of ordering. Any future events we hold will be catered by Zeiglers. Amazing customer service, delivery and set-up (which was punctual and efficient) , and most importantly- Amazing BBQ! Thank you, Zeiglers!

Everything very well season and delicious. Had brisket, Mac & cheese and green beans. Husband loved his and the Brunswick stew & bbq beans. If we ever find ourselves back in the area we definitely stop back by.

This place is pretty good brisket was good and the Brunswick stew was really good in my opinion. The Apple Bourbon sauce was very good. Mac n cheese was bad! Sorry gotta call it like I taste it. It tasted like the noodles were soggy. I tasted more water than anything else. Potato salad was good and the pulled chicken was good. The pricing was on the higher side for the amount of food you get.

This is a great little bbq restaurant. Great flavor, tasty sauce and good sides. We have eaten here for lunch and catered our Christmas Eve dinner and everyone loved it.

Best bbq I've had outside the city. Brisket is phenomenal and the the pulled pork was very tender and flavorful. Great sauces and sides. Highly recommend!

This bbq spot is delicious, their wings, ribs, pulled pork, onion rings, and peach cobbler were terrific The apple bourbon bbq sauce is so tasty! Please stop in you won't be disappointed!

The Ribs at Zeigler's were a bit of a rarity (no pun intended) as they were slightly underdone. Most commercial Ribs are "Fall off the bone" which is actually an indication of being overdone. Still they were tasty and meaty. The Brunswick Stew had a heavily sweetened tomato flavor, which isn't exactly what I was hoping to find. In Stew I'm looking for a deep meaty flavor coupled with a thick consistency. This was more like a ketchup-based vegetable soup. So, go for the Ribs, but stay away from the Stew.

THEY LIVE UP TO THE HYPE! I've been hearing about Zeigler's bbq for a couple of years now from various people that I would run into out in the field. So finally I got a change to try them out and I can say they exceed any expectations! Sometimes when a place gets hyped up too much it will inevitably disappoint because it can't live up to the high expectations. This is not true of Zeigler's BBQ. I was lucky enough to have a big Hefty sampling of all their biggest hits at a private event. Mac n cheese-if this was alcohol I would be drunk the stuff was the best I've had in a long time Baked beans-I ate every drop of it Brisket-tender melts in your mouth good Apple Bourbon bbq sauce-I'd drink it like coffee Apple crisp-warm and sweet like a baby kitten Sweet tea-as good as it gets... Wherever you are and whatever you are doing...just stop and drive on over here now...tell the boss its an emergency...and you can thank me by sending me a plate of that mac n cheese....

I was there for lunch on 1/11 and it was amazing. Just thought I'd let you know how much I appreciated your efforts. I don't like it too wet and yours was perfectly sauced, a little bit of sweetness, but does not overpower the flavor of the meat. Great job!

Despite the number of BBQ restaurants (and enthusiasts) in this area, I've been incredibly underwhelmed with the actual food at these places. Zeigler's is no different. I went here years ago to try their pulled pork (my favorite). It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It was missing that smoky flavor I associate with good barbeque. Their Carolina (mustard) sauce was just meh. I also got some fried okra that was largely unseasoned. Recently I tried again, this time with a pulled chicken plate. It came with a yeast roll, mac and cheese, and fried okra. The chicken tasted like canned chicken. It had the same weird salty quality of canned meat and was watery. For a "dinner" plate and what I paid for it, I felt a little ripped off, but once I tasted it... Nope. The yeast roll came from a bag, so once it got soggy from the chicken juice I didn't even bother with it. The mac and cheese was okay, and the fried okra improved. Their sweet and smoky sauce helped too, but you can't make up for the main star of the meal being bad. Their other stuff might be better, but I'm not in a rush to try it and won't go back on my own.

Love Ziegler's! Great place to dine in or grab takeout from. I usually like one over the other, but they do both well. The barbecue is delicious, and they have amazing sides. The employees are always so nice, too. Highly recommend!

Ziglar's is outstanding. Love all the barbecue selections. They have excellent sides as well. Love the location, but the place is a little small inside. Wish they had a beer, wine and bourbon bar.

We have been coming to Ziegler's for quite a few years now. Recently, my wife suggested we get BBQ for dinner. Who am I to argue?? When thinking about what place to get BBQ from, she suggested Ziegler's. We both then commented that we hadn't eaten from there in a long time. Neither of us knew why. The food has always been good. We got a family pack meal for 4 and really enjoyed the food. The only thing that was a disappointment were the spicy corn fritters. Holy hot. I couldn't eat them. I eat jalapeño peppers quite a bit and these were brutal. Good tasting but way too spicy. We liked the food so much we got several pounds of BBQ three days later for Father's Day.

We shared the 3- meat combo (choice of Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Chicken 1/4, Brisket,3 Bones Ribs, 3 Wings, 2 Chicken Tenders for $17.49. We chose the brisket, pulled pork, and 1/4 chicken. They were out of ribs from Labor Day. The combo comes with 2 sides so we went with mac and cheese and fried pickles (these were considered premium sides $0.50 extra). Others ordered potato salad and fries with theirs so I had a chance to try those sides too. Everyone indicated that their meats were on the dry side and portions were tiny for the price. I did like their mac and cheese, potato salad, and fried pickles. Service--you could tell they were getting impatient with us because we did not know what to order at first. Hey, our first time there! But they tried to be friendly. Overall, I would say I liked the sides better than the meats. Prices are on the high side (I think) for bbq.

Ok I officially think that I'm a bbq snob. I'm from south Ga. My father in law makes some of the best ribs this side of the Mississippi. I mean, I don't even eat them with sauce they're so well prepared. So it seems I am just constantly disappointed by the bbq joints I've tried in the Cobb/Kennesaw/Marietta area. This was no exception. I was so excited, as I typically am, after reading the reviews and glancing at the pics. But lo and behold, looks can be deceiving. I ordered a combo plate with ribs and smoked wings, baked beans, and fried okra. Everything was just...off. Like the potential for greatness was there but fell just short. The ribs were ok. They were on the drier side and lacked the flavor I was anticipating. If I can't almost shake the meat off the bone...ehh. The smoked wings were similar, just average. They were fine with sauce but without they really lacked the it factor. The sides were fine but I don't go to bbq spots for the sides. They are the accessories, but fly jewelry is nothing if you have on old sweats and a tshirt. I can't say I wouldn't go back and give it another shot, but I can't say that I would either. We went on a Sunday evening and they weren't busy at all but had sold out of brisket due to a large order. This spot is in a small shopping plaza in Acworth on the left if you're driving North on Cobb Parkway.

First time eating inside and very clean smelled good. Music on tvs on. FOOD WAS AMAZING tea was a little sweet for me but the place has a very friendly atmosphere and great food for the price

Called up to place an order to try out food for possible future birthday party with 75 plus people in a few months and when I made mention to the girl she seemed "so interested" like she didn't care to prove that there bbq was the best. I was trying out several places and this place was referred by an employee via a neighborhood site I am on. Pros-NONE Cons-Mac and cheese tasted horrible and cold BBQ wings were not cooked and swimming in sauce but tasted gooey until I put them in the air fryer but then I could only stomach a couple. Also please if you are making it a point to make wings a feature on your menu for the love of G make the ranch homemade!!! Coleslaw-was warm but funny because all the food was cold and I am pretty sure it was suppose to be cold. It also tasted store bought (Publix to be exact) and there is gagaliciousis. Brisket-well let's jUst say it was dry as... There isn't more to say except I won't be using them and we will never eat there again!

Zeigler's has always been fantastic!! When I was on the executive board for the PTA we would always use them for the fall festival! They were always on time the food was always delicious and it was a great price. All the families at the school would pre-order tons of meals and they would always ask for us to use them because the food is so good.

Very delicious barbecue. There isn't much in Acworth, but they do have amazing barbecue here. It came with the whole combo and i love spicy barbecue and they have an amazing sauce i put my on ribs and it was to die for!! Definitely try to visit every time i visit Acworth! Amazing restaurant and amazing staff.

Ziegler's is one of those places that, as a home bbq/smoker guy, you begin to understand you're far from mastering bbq. I've tried the chicken, which is good, but I go to Ziegler's for the pig. The meat is just ridiculously and consistently tender. Despite not seeing a thick pink smoke ring on skin pieces, the smoke is definitely in the flavor of the meat. Their sauces, spicy and bourbon, are both exceptional. I haven't found a go-to side but I'm not one to grade a bbq joint on the quality of sides. They aren't bad, but I've not found anything exceptional. Highly recommend Ziegler's....by far, the best bbq I've found in the Dallas/Hiram/Acworth area.

Decent BBQ. Chain Restaurant. Not my 1st, 2nd or even 3rd Choice. Not bad for the price.

Pickup order for evening meal. Chopped chicken was chopped so much it was mush. The barbecue sauce saved it. Mac and cheese dried out. Green beans good. Won't get the chopped chicken again!

Great smoked wings, good BBQ, fries and cold slaw. It's a small place and can be crowded at lunch. The prices are kinda high for the local area, but I've been many times and will definitely go back!

I went into this location on Memorial Day. They had a rib tip special. I was so excited because I had frequented this location when I lived in Kennesaw and always passed the word on how much I loved their food. Well I made a special trip to get their rib tip special. I ordered two pounds. They said my order would be ready at 11:45am. I got there a little before, but it was fine as I needed to pay. I paid for my food and patiently waited for them to prepare it. I noticed that they gave the white patron her food before they gave me mine. I inquired as to why she received her food before I received mine, because my food was supposed to be ready at 11:45 and it was now after 12. The worker stated that what the other patron ordered finished cooking first. I politely told her that she purchased rip tips just like I did so how did her food finish cooking first. I asked to cancel my order she stated that it was coming up. When I got home, I realized that they had given me over one pound of bones. Yes it had meat on it, but it was obvious that more than 75% of most of my tips were bones. Because of these events, they have lost a customer and my free advertisement.

So happy to find Ziegler's. We just can't get enough. It's so easy to come great this great BBQ. Our favorite is the brisket but the ribs and pulled pork aren't far behind.

They have catered, the food is great, no long wait times! Al and wife are great people!

Best BBQ in Acworth! Brunswick stew is number one! Went to a recent party and they had ordered lid off BBQ from Ziegler's. Everyone commented on how good it was.

Best BBQ in West Cobb - no competition- you must try the Brunswick Stew! When we have an urge for Que it's always Zeigler's that tops the list - clean, great service and fantastic food.

Yesterday I had Ziegler's barbecue for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. We got the chicken and the pork and the beef as well as like the jalapeño corn poppers and I would definitely go back again for another order. We had our parents over and my wife's parents as well and everybody loved it. Two thumbs up Ziegler's barbecue!!

Very good bbq pork. I am not someone who uses a lot of sauce so I base my opinion on the flavor of the meat without adding sauce. This is good, great smoky flavor. I also highly recommend the fried okra and the corn nuggets, and they have great sweet tea too! Go try it!

Great barbecue! We've eaten there & also had their catered dishes. We're going to cater for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner in March.

This is for real good BBQ! I can't say enough about the mac and cheese either. It's so great. It's not too close to me, but I go out of my way on occasion to partake of this restaurant.

This is a small, cozy, hidden gem. The pulled pork has a wonderful flavor and needs no sauce but their Apple Bourbon sauce accents the meat so well! The apple slaw is divine, no heavy mayonnaise-y base needed here. So fresh! The mac and cheese is as close to homemade as you can get. Even the rolls are tasty! The staff was helpful and pleasant. Had to take an extra pound of meat and sauce to share with our family!

I know these are different times and dining in-service it's not optional... So they should really trying to get your takeout orders correct... I have supported their business several times through the coronavirus shut down and all three times I have gotten my order incorrect... First time they forgot to give me my banana bread pudding dessert that I paid for... Second time they did not give me my potato salad side order macaroni and cheese and baked bean side orders... And third time I got something I did not order altogether... I guess it's my fault for not checking the order before I left, only to get home with incomplete orders. And your banana pudding is absolutely disappointing... They bought a 50 Cent box of Jell-O banana putting and a three dollar box of vanilla wafers.... Period.

In the mood for some BBQ. Headed down 41 for a myriad of options. The Z was the choice. I had the pulled chicken and my wife had the pulled pork. The chicken is some of the best I've had. It comes slightly sauced. The application bourbon sauce is great. If you're in the mood for a side, the Mac and Cheese is excellent. This is a small place. Not a lot of tables. They do a lot of take out orders. Of you're in the Acworth area, you won't be disappointed.

This review is a little lengthy but a lot has to be said. My brother who lived in Kennesaw died on June 16th. I live in a small town called Canonsburg Pa. I wanted to send dinner to his wife and family in Kennesaw but because of the Coronavirus I could not find any restaurants that either served family size meals or restaurants that delivered. When I called Zieglers they did sell family sized orders but since they did not deliver they suggested I order thru GrubHub. I had to join GrubHub only to find out they did not offer Zieglers family size meals. I called Zieglers back and explained this and was transfered to the Manager. After I explained why it was important to get this meal to my brother's family the Manager said "I am sorry for your loss and I think with the employees I have working I can have one cover for me while I deliver your order." I was dumbfounded. I offered to pay the wages for an employee to deliver instead of him but he insisted on making the delivery himself...at no charge. Within 45 minutes Zieglers was able to prepare and deliver a huge order. My niece called me and said there was enough food to feed an army and everything was delicious. This manager deserves something more then this glowing review. I sincerely hope that the owners of Zieglers read this and at the least acknowledge his actions. I will never forget what this manager did for me and my brother's family In this day and age of civil and political unrest it's great to know there still are people of authority that have compassion and decency and are willing to bend the rules to do what is right. My sincere thank you to the Manager and his staff for the feast that brightened my brother's family's otherwise sad and dark day.

The food was great the service was fantastic I needed a bunch of barbecue for a party and they came through everyone raved. The barbecue chicken and pork we're both amazing and each of the items we ordered were filled to the rim. Thank you
