Cozy place, good for a quick bite. Seating inside and out. We tried fresh made coffee and delicious poke bowls. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking lot behind the building as well as street parking along the side. Located on the first floor.

Zeke’s is such a gem in Virginia Beach🌊! I got an acaí bowl and my husband tried the Brazil Bowl. Both were fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. We decided to try a poke bowl for the first time and went with the Bubba Bowl… Wow! It was absolutely delicious, and the rice tasted so fresh. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe of the place is cozy and laid-back. They play great music, have convenient parking, and it’s just an all-around cool spot to hang out and enjoy good food. Highly recommend!!

my first time trying this place, the tuna was so good. even though it didn’t look the picture. but i’m rating is a 2 star because the rice was probabaly the worst rice I had ever had. hard and dry. and coming from a place that sells poke, how is this possible. you pay extra for add ons, seaweed salad and crab to be exact. and there was BARELY any of that. it’s like the gave me the scraps. i got delivery so this was definitely not worth the $33 i spent. first photo is what it looked like when i first received it. not bad (but not the picture) second photo is to show how little seaweed salad they gave for charging $2.50.

A very busy restaurant with a very small dining area. A huge bohemian vibe. The physical plant is rather unimpressive, but the food is the polar opposite. I had the Bubba Bowl. Raw tuna, crab, and cooked shrimp. Marinated in ponds & sesame oil. Topped with green onion, sesame seeds, sushi ginger, seaweed salad, and avocado. It didn't appear to be a lot of food. However, I was full when I left. I would eat it again.

I normally come here with my brother for a treat every few months, and this last time made my decision of not coming back. I was not too bothered with the wait because it is a smaller establishment but busy since it was by the beachfront/convention center. It went downhill from the order placing, customer service /delivery of food brought out to the table, and the cleanliness of the seating area. My brother got the Blackbean omelet burritto, and I always grab my favorite the spinach salad with Blackened tuna. His food was so so but the temperature could have been warmer with the egg. On the other hand my salad was a big disappointment. I was not given the proper Soy ginger dressing but instead the very salty soy dressing that goes with the Poke/sushi bowls. By the time I realized the differences I had already poured on the dressing and started to eat it at this point I couldn't finish the food due to the high salty taste and I had to drink water for the rest of the evening. My latte drink was watery, no flavor. The girl who brought out the food looked unhappy to be there working and the table we sat had some stickiness to the table top. At this point we just hurried to finish up due to the lack of attention and the busyness of the place there really wasn't time to bring up the error to fix the orders. I will just find elsewhere to treat me and my brother too on the beach next time.

If you enjoy poke, this is a great little spot to try. We both ordered tofu poke - the Cali and southwestern versions. Both were delicious. Also ordered a blue spirulina smoothie with mango. Everything was tasty. The place is packed around noon so go early or later.

Excellent food choices. Food is very fresh and flavorful. Fantastic friendly service! Love the vibe inside! Second time here and will be back many more!

Zeke’s is great! Delicious food, fresh ingredients, and really varied menu that’s easily customizable. The people are always friendly and this place has a great vibe to it!

My family and I have been coming here for years. I will say that it gets packed quickly and there is limited seating. Great for a date but if you are looking to bring a group of 4 it may be a bit of a struggle to find seating during the summer. I got the princess bowl and I think the ratios are perfect. If you like nutella, I would recommend this. Definitely coming back again! Something to note is if you get the poke bowl, all of the fish on the menu is tuna and portions are relatively large!

My two favorite items here are their PB&J bowl (acai, peanut butter, granola, banana slices, strawberry slices, sliced almonds, raisins, and shredded coconut) and watermelon juice (I request light ice). The Virginia Beach location has rotating local art on the walls which is fun to look at while dining in, or plenty of window seats to people watch outside. I also dig the laidback atmosphere and the great music they play from the speakers. It fills up fast, but no worries, they offer to-go as well!

Got the Bubba poke bowl and a hot chocolate from here. The poke was so fresh, the portion sizes were huge, and the price was great. The customer service was amazing, the worker even made me a peppermint hot chocolate even though it wasn't on the menu. The place is really cute with surfer vibes. Definitely want to come back!

Stopped in for a late lunch today after a bike ride down the oceanfront. I tried something different than my usual go-to, the teriyaki chicken bowl, which was awesome. The PB Smoothie and watermelon juice were good, and the poke bowl was as well! Service was quick, and they were absolutely slammed.

The food is fresh and has clean ingredients! The cashier is always nice and quick. The interior has cute decor and artworks. Perfect for the beach day!

If you call out the customer's name wrong and you give the food to another customer and you are confronted with the clear error and you laugh in the customer's face, then you are NOT a good business. Your employees do NOT realize the serious repercussions of giving someone's food to someone else and then giving it back to them. There should have been quick apologies, ask the person who got it if they touched it, and if they did then get it redone fast!! I suggest you fire everyone and start over and get a REAL manager in there! MY NAME IS NOT SHANNON

super cute place! it was a short walk away from my hotel while visiting virginia beach and i would definitely return. i took of a start for the fact that their coffee is just not good. got two iced americanos, one black and another with cream and sugar. both were given two sips and were thrown out. i'd expect better if they do offer drinks, especially coffee. the acai bowls however were really refreshing in the heat and were easily customizable. will have to come back for their rice next!

Fresh and delicious! You can even get extra protein. I purchased the small. Surprisingly filling too. Will definitely come back!

Place is core! Ate here prob close to 200 times & 10/10 can't miss with Zekes. Baristas are the best, no egos, or pretentious coffee people like other spots down at the beach... Poke is the only poke you should be getting in Hampton Road. Much love!

Some of the best açaí bowls and poke bowls that I've had, and their prices are extremely reasonable for the portion sizes. The staff is always smiling and willing to help. They also have some really cool merch. I just grabbed my kid a beanie and a sticker. They should carry more kids sizes in the hoodies though--especially being right down the road from VB Middle--lots of foot traffic that could make you some $$$$!

What a unique menu. So many flavors in their dishes. Both items (Fajita Breakfast and Costa Rican Pita) were rich in seasoning and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The macchiato was earthy and great if you like strong coffee. I will be back to try their açai and poke bowls. I bet their matcha latte is worth a try as well. The cafe's atmosphere was quaint and chill. Nothing fancy but was nice since we were able to sit with our small dog and eat in. They have seating along the window if you want to stop by for a solo visit. They also had a tabletop Hooks game to play.

Love their poke and açaí bowls! Restaurant is giving very much California vibes lol but the workers were really friendly and helpful.

TO GO REVIEW: I am visiting to local area and was looking for a decently healthy option for dinner. I placed a to go order and was impressed by the speed and quality of the order! Would recommend to anyone to try out their food, it was tasty! The spot also had a cool vibe to it in a trendy spot in town.

Poke bowls were 7/10 Açaí was a disappointment. 5/10 I have had good açaí here in the past but this recent time it was icy and tasted watered down, the granola to açaí ratio was off (way too much granola not enough açaí), and the granola is made up of broken down nature valley bars. Overall not a good açaí bowl. Not worth the money. The poke tasted good and fresh. Although I enjoyed it their rice ended up too saucy to finish. The service was alright. Nothing special or memorable. Overall just an okay experience.

I love this little hole in the wall. It's a great local spot. I usually stop here after a bike ride on the boardwalk, so today was nothing different. I'm a woman of routine, what can I say? Boring Taurus. Anyway, it's nice when it's quiet and empty. Maybe I'm somewhat antisocial but it's nice when it's not tourist season so everything comes out quick and delightful. Their cinnamon honey latte is absolutely delicious but here lately I've been drinking their turmeric tonic for health benefits. I feel healthier already! Lol ...

Cute little local spot I pop into whenever I am at my friends place down the road. I like the vibe inside and enjoy their coffee. Not the best açaí bowl I have had in town but would order it again. Server was kind and friendly.

GET THE WATERMELON JUICE. Tastes like straight up watermelon, they definitely juice it here. The Spicy Poke is also fire.

Pb&j acacia bowl was delicious. Honey cinnamon latte was exceptional- very flavorful and fresh tasting. The lady at the counter was also super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for something quick, tasty, and healthy, Zeke's is the place to go! Their menu offers a wide variety of choices. Our go-to is always the acai bowl, which they are famous for. You can even customize your bowl just the way you like it. The staff are friendly and helpful with making sure you're getting what you asked for. The place has a cozy and charming vibe with artwork displayed on the walls. There's also a cute plant store next door. I've visited a few times, and it seems like they switch up the wall art by different artists from time to time. They also have board games and card games to keep you entertained. Plus, they offer punch cards, so don't forget to take advantage of that!

So refreshing and delicious. I ordered the build your own açaí bowl and a fresh watermelon juice for delivery. It arrived before it was supposed to and everything was still cold. I added blueberries, coconut, and strawberries to my bowl. I would definitely order everything again.

Cool place to grab a fresh bite! The small acai bowl was a good "appetizer" before my small poke bowl. The O.G. poke is so flavorful. I added seaweed salad for a little more green. My friend ordered the caramel latte and the vegan avocado burger (comes on a bed of kale). We were both highly satisfied with our lunch. I saw a negative review from ~8 months back that mentioned the dining area being unclean and smelling like a thrift store. When we visited today, the interior was noticeably clean and smelled yummy like fresh poke. Additionally, that same reviewer said the poke does not come with rice. My O.G. poke bowl came with rice. The menu is written clearly and states exactly what comes in every bowl. We are definitely fans of Zeke's and will be back!

Really fresh food and fast and friendly service. Everything is packaged beautifully for takeaway. The combination of ingredients is inventive and really tasty. We enjoyed the kale salad with added k-special poke, which has brown rice, avocado, carrots, green onions, cucumbers, slivered almonds, and raisins, and the tofu poke, OG style with cucumbers, green onions, and a savory sauce with sesame seeds. The cucumber watermelon salad in particular is incredible--it's sweet, salty, and savory all at once. Everything is seasoned and dressed well. The flavors are complementary, and everything is prepared well and attractively.

Zeke's is outstanding!!! Their menu is filled with an array of Smoothies, fruit bowls, Poke bowls and Pitas to delight your senses and fill you belly. Zeke's is now my "GO-TO" for Dinner after my friend at work ordered a Cali Bowl from Zeke's Norfolk Location on Granby street. I believe she used on D**r-dazh and they delivered rather quickly (the sticky rice was still hot). Looked so yummy I went out yesterday to the VB location on 9th street "or norfolk ave" stepped in to order Poke bowls to take home. Their restaurant is small, but cute and I was immediately greeted by the young lady behind the bar.... (YES Bar! if that's you) and she took my order. Two couples were sitting finishing their bowls as I'd walked in and ordered a CALI Bowl for myself and a BUBBA Bowl for Beautiful wife...... I highly recommend Zeke's!!! Their poke bowls are delicious. ALL the items on the menu look mouth watering good!! I noticed they also have Vegetarian selections I rate them 5 stars, and I'll be back again and again

I love Zekes and definitely need to go more often. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy. People kept coming in and the tables were full. I sat at the bar and ate. The atmosphere is unique, eclectic and quaint. I believe there is a bike on the ceiling. There was only 1 person working and she was busy. I ordered the small Spicy Poke Bowl and since it was all day Happy Hour I had a Watermelon Mimosa for $2.50. The poke bowl was delicious and definitely spicy. The tuna was so fresh. The mimosa was good....kind of small but good and pretty. The water is self serve so you need to ask for a glass. Looking forward to coming back and ordering all the things....it all looks so delicious and I feel like I am eating health....ier. And don't forget to check out their specials. I think Monday is Taco Mondays and Sunday is all day Happy Hour.

We liked that they had tofu as an alternative as we are plant based. But we realized we prefer the tofu to be fried or firm instead of soft. We also realized that their açaí bowls were more granola than smoothie. Good if you need something quick but not for necessarily quality. Good and friendly service though and a chill surf vibe

Great local find!! Both the açaí bowls and poke bowls were delicious! I'm pretty picky when it comes to poke because the first time I had it was in Hawaii and I must say that Zeke's was a close second! They were VERY busy when we got there but they worked very hard and fast to get all people served as quickly as possible. Everyone was very nice and kind which goes a long way!

i'm from hawaii, i thought it was made similar cuz the menu has local kine language but no... i got the cali one... no flavor and the sushi rice is just normal rice, very subpar, if this is what you think hawaiian poke tastes like wait til ya taste the real kine

I've been to the location at Wrightsville Beach a few times so I was absolutely delighted to discover that it's an option in Virginia Beach when I was on the lookout for something lighter/healthier than the standard touristy beach town fare. It's similar to the WB location in that it has that unpretentious beach shack vibe. What you'd never guess at first glance it is that the food is superb. Simple, fresh, flavorful. Portions aren't huge but the prices reflect this and it's so refreshing right now to be able to grab a quality meal without spending an arm and a leg. The Greek pita is $8, unaccompanied. So satisfying, though, and just the perfect bite. My husband enjoyed his coffee and egg bowl, as well. I will be back whenever possible!!

This little place is so cute! Serously, when you walk through the door all you want to do is smile. Total beach atmosphere (obviously) with the sweet chill sound of the Beatles in the background. The cashier was super cool and very helpful as I was pretty overwhelmed by the delicious sounding options on their menu. I ordered the O.G bowl because, you know, gotta get the basics for a first time visit. It was a pretty good representation of real Hawaiian poke (at least the bowl that I had). Just the rice topped w/ protein in a plastic container, total Foodland vibes. The taste was fresh and not too over done! The only downside to all of this is that it was a little pricey. The small bowl was 12 and with an addition of crab and a water came out to about $18. Not bad but in Hawaii you can get it all for about $10 lol. Overall I would %100 recommend you check it out. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other items like their acai bowls, tacos, or their coffee selection. Will definitly be returning!!

We were greeted upon entering with a smiling face! They have fun decor and it's a small cafe/restaurant. There are tons of alcohol, food, and drink options! They have anywhere from acai bowls to poke bowls. We tried the watermelon mimosa and it was not good at all. It did not taste like watermelon, way more artificial. I'm sure their other drinks are good - but I would recommend not getting it. I ordered the tofu k special bowl. This came with cut up tofu, panko crumbs, rice, & seaweed salad. They do allow you to switch the white rice for brown at no charge if you want to. I asked for blackened tofu, but it didn't taste like it was blackened - still delicious though! They give a hefty portion for the price of the bowl. I was recommended to try this place and I am so happy we did! There are a ton of other menu items that I can't wait to try when I come back to town. Check this place out if you're in the area.

This seems to be a very popular spot especially in the Virginia Beach Vibe district. So many people have recommended this spot to me since I love poke. I REALLY wanted to love this place but I just did not. I have eaten here pre and post pandemic. Upon first impression, the setting, decor and ambiance, I just do not get it. It gives me the 70's show vibe. It also smells like a thrift store. There is some indoor dining space but it just looked too dirty for me to sit inside and eat. There isn't much of an outdoor dining space. Just a table or two right outside the door where cars are zooming by. I believe that they have an opportunity to redecorate and renovate to be more hip and trendy to go along with their menu. They had a good menu selection including drinks offered. However, I did not like my poke or smoothie. My husband didn't like his alcohol either. We were disappointed. If you order poke, remember to ask for rice. It does not come with rice. Prices are very expensive for the quality of food and the setting of the restaurant. We paid $100 walking out with food for two adults and two kids with drinks. I honestly, hate providing such review and I REALLY wanted to like this place but was disappointed by the setting, cleanliness, prices and taste.

Listen. I lived in Hawaii for 4 years and I've been back in the mainland for a year and a half and have not been able to squelch my poke cravings. BUT NOW I HAVE finally, fish that is ACTUALLY marinated, seasoned, served with sushi rice and not a single piece of corn or other weird crap mainlanders think belongs in poke AND EVEN THE CUT WAS RIGHT. (Only the real ones know the cut matters!) The pita was pita with honey, banana and PB. Very tasty and simple treat, but the poke was the star of the show. Very sad I'm only in town for another week, but I will ABSOLUTELY be ordering poke from them one more time. Thank you for bringing the right vibes and food to Virginia from Hawaii!

I've been coming to Zeke's since high school and have never been disappointed with their Acai bowls! They are so fresh and filling. The Poke bowls are also equally delicious! Customer service is usually great for the most part, and it can get really busy on the weekends! :)

I've only checked out the Zeke's at the beach a few times, but each time has been strong. I am a fan, but by far frequent the Norfolk store more often. They do have the same menu. The location is around a three quarters of a mile from the oceanfront. Parking is on the side, in the rear and nice surface spots across the street. I have seen debris, but minor. The long stretch of buildings has a few businesses including Back Bay Brewing and Gringo Tacos. The structure is an electric blue, so I doubt you would ever miss it. Signage is excellent. I have no clue how old the building is, or if this was part of an old rail station that's adjacent and converted into businesses. Unfortunately the exterior could use a sprucing up with paint that's faded and some mold in areas. But not to worry the food and smoothies will make up for it. The interior is funky, is that still a word used these days, maybe not. It certainly is a hipster hangout. I'm no hipster so bring it on. Seating is by table, or vintage sofa thats quite worn. I think they are going for this vibe. Also window seating by counter and bar seating. Order at the cash register after checking the paper menu which includes smoothies, acai bowls and now cold press juices which has become the rage. Most items lean more healthy. The staff on the few occasions I've visited have been super cool and chill to chat with. The staff do lean hipster forgive them. Last visit was an acai Haloe Bowl snd creamsicle smoothie. Prices do lean North, but the quality is worth it for the items I have purchased. My daughter loves their PB&J on a pita which I have to admit is tasty if your a kid, or adult. When really busy like it was on this Fall day waits should be expected with a small kitchen staff of one. The turnaround was pushing 20 minutes with an event at the beach going on that drives traffic in. Staff deliver your order to the table. I've had this same bowl before and love it. The Haole Bowl - blended acai, bananas & honey. Topped w/ granola, bananas, kiwi, pineapple & coconut. Paired with a fantastic creamsicle smoothie. I'm overdue for a visit and trying a new item.

Ventured out of RVA for the day and found a local spot on the side of the road by the ocean! We ordered poke bowls to-go, this is the sweet and spicy bowl. Everything was super fresh and delicious, go support this local business!!

A quaint and truly what I would envision a hipster cafe would be! A must try for the unique environment and delicious food: 1. The poke bowl was amazing! Lived in Hawaii and have been looking for something close to their poke bowls and this is the one! The fish is really fresh (rich pink color and soft). I had the spicy tuna bowl and it was very flavorful! Very very yummy! 2. Coffee and teas are individually brewed when you order them. This is a hard core coffee place because they don't have milk or cream to drown the bitter taste of coffee. Hence, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the Guatemalan coffee of the day. Sweet and smooth, not your typical mass produced coffee 3. Also got a orange creamsicle smoothie! Yummy and fresh! My kids loved it and we can't wait to try more on the menu 4. My favorite part was the ambiance! Lots of unique pictures and decor (to Include an old school typewriter my kids kept wanting to touch). My kids and I played a game during our lunch and it was a truly pleasant experience. Can't wait to return and try more things on the menu. Thank you for the delicious lunch and overall experience

let me tell you about this place, DAMN GOOD!!!!!! the lady that took our order was freaking awesome!!!!! kind, helpful and helped us pick through there great menu. the coffee was perfect. just what my wife was looking for and I liked it too. the açai bowls we got were perfect. just what we wanted. you might think I'm getting paid to say this but we aren't. this was our first time and we have plans to go back very soon. great place, great people and great food. check them out. time and money very well spent. hopefully this makes it to there crew. thanks guys, we loved it, see you again soon.

This is a hidden gem! My Fajita bowl was delicious! Portion size was abundant for a hungry gal after a day at the office. The staff was friendly - nice to see a smiling face at the end of my day. Got my order to go and it was ready within 5 minutes of my arriving so I didn't get to explore their "coffee shop feel". Will absolutely be back!!

I love getting bowls from zekes. They are right around the corner from me and are always fresh and filling. I find the prices great considering the freshness of the items used. This location is very nice looking and close to the beach. My past few times coming the service wasn't the friendliest. Very short and a little pushy but I don't let that stop me from coming. I get my items to go and carry on. My favorite bowl is the PB&j bowl without raisins.

I absolutely love this place. I come here about once a week and they never disappoint. I would like if the smoothies could be a little bit less icy, but other than that I don't have any complaints. Great customer service, doesn't take long for the food to come out, and it's such a cute vibe they have going on.

I love Zeke's! Zeke's is a very cool place with great options for food and drinks. Some of my favorite things to get are the PB&J açaí bowl, the Cali pita (vegetarian option). I usually get them together. The small açaí bowl is plenty for one person. Great taste, the granola being my fav part. For the pita, being vegetarian, I substitute tofu instead of the meat and fish. Still bangin'. The VA Beach location is my favorite because they have a delicious seasonal menu, which includes a lavender latte in the summer and it's amazing! The location is prime for before or after beach going. And the parking isn't awful like most VA Beach joints. The Norfolk location is a cute little artsy area of town. They have an adorable patio and great art displayed throughout the restaurant.

Absolutely loved the acai bowls here. I was in VA Beach for the weekend for my college besties bachelorette party, and our house was a quick half mile walk. So of course, I came here every morning that weekend. The decor is awesome, I loved the art and beachy decorations. Both mornings we had different cashiers, and they both weren't super friendly. They weren't too helpful with menu choices and didn't smile during our whole interactions. I got the PB&J acai bowls both mornings and got a watermelon juice one of the mornings. The watermelon juice is amazing. It's fresh and so refreshing. The acai bowl was SO good. I loved the peanut butter taste and the shredded coconut on top. The flavors all blended in so well together. It was filling yet o didn't feel gross after eating it. The second morning bowl wasn't as good as my first one though, there didn't seem to have as much of the peanut butter flavor. The bowls did take forever to get to us. It's pretty slow, so I wouldn't come in here and expect a quick trip unless you can call in ahead or something. I'm about a 3.5 for Zekes, but rounded up to a 4 because the bowls and watermelon juice were so good, that I still dream about it a week after that weekend. Parking isn't too bad, they have street parking right by the side and a private lot. I came here at 8:30ish both mornings and it wasn't crowded at all. But once it starts getting crowded, prepare to wait for your food for a while.

After we spent nearly $100 for food and drinks we weren't allowed to finish due to a belligerent "line cook" came out and forced us to leave by threatening to bleach the entire place WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING WITH CHILDREN. NEVER have I experienced such disrespect from the service industry where I worked for over 13 years. This was awful, from the passive aggressive "server" who put our food in to go containers and said it was by "accident". Food was subpar too. The bowl was a clump of peanut butter and watery "acai".
