First time coming here. The Pot Stickers with the ponzu style dipping sauce was great. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was different that it did not have the mayonnaise sauce but was also very good for my liking. I loved the taste of their Singapore Noodles. The Salt and Pepper Fish lacked the salty umami taste that I’m accustomed to batter was not cakey, otherwise it was just okay for my liking. I’m a bit disappointed with the lack of flavor of the broth of the Wor Wonton Soup. Overall, the food was good with great service and a nice diner style Asian restaurant.

I have ordered many times. Good food but terrible service. I ordered in advance and we agreed on a time for pick up. Showed up and she said i make for u now. NOPE I ORDERED 24 HOURS AGO FOR A PICK UP AND NOT SO U CAN TELL ME TO WAIT. She said 2 minute. After i waited 10 i said im running errands and back in 20 will you have it ready? And she screamed TWO MINUTE. Sorry goofball but on the phone you agreed ready in 30 minutes not start cooking when i arrive. You have lost my business forever. Shangai i found has wonderful pot stickers and has the food ready at the time we agreed. Get it together. You can do better

Stumbled on this restaurant after visited Sequoia National Park. Food was delicious and great customer services. Ordered Fu yong egg and it turns out not as expected and the usual fried egg back in our country. Overall still a good dinner.

Wor wonton soup is great, not too salty!

The food was okay. The server was very sweet. I walked in noticed there’s no menus or nothing on the walls. They asked if I would like to sit or take out, I would’ve rather have seen the menu as I asked before answering…. I paid $60 for two plates both with cho mein and fried rice, one had honey walnut shrimp, and the other had salt and pepper shrimp. I also got 4 eggs rolls. I don’t think the prices were equivalent to the food portions and quality. So I don’t think I will be returning. But I do not want to take any recognition away from the amazing server, she was the best part of the restaurant and is well appreciated.

The food is always good. We've been here before a few times. It was very quiet because we were the first ones there. Waitresses are very friendly and nice. We will be returning again soon.

Delicious!! We came here at the suggestion of our hotel's front desk person and were pleasantly surprised! We ordered orange chicken, which came in perfectly fried bite-sized pieces, all tender and none chewy, as well as the BBQ chowmein which tasted better than it looked (packed with flavor and fresh veggies, noodles the perfect texture), and the fried shrimp (absolutely spot on). The service was excellent and the host/server took several calls throughout our stay which only confirmed how great this place is, definitely popular! The hostess got a call from a completely unreasonable customer and was incredibly professional, kind, and as accommodating as possible the whole time, but the woman still vowed to never return. Honestly, that person's loss because if we lived here, we'd be back every weekend, it was just THAT good! Plus, rude people don't deserve such good food and great service! Thank you Zen!

Food is cooked at time of order so hot and very fresh! NO "same sauce" on every dish, each with own distinct flavors. Staff is warm and curteous, very friendly! Simple decor, nice natural light with lots of windows, great for large groups. Try the Mongolian Beef so tasty!

Came here for lunch with some coworkers. That staff were friendly and very attentive. There were no inconvenient waiting periods for any part of our meal. They were happy to make substitutions to our orders which made me think they were all made fresh. Nice! The food was good, but not life changing. I got the szechuan chicken lunch special and enjoyed it. It was a very substantial serving size. Probably more than I should eat in one sitting, but who wants left overs with hours before you'll be home... anyway, yeah I may update my review once I try more menu items. I'm sure I'll be back to try another.

They did not disappoint. The atmosphere was quiet, food was on point and service was fantastic. We had shrimp fried rice, chop suey and chow mien. The food wasn't greasy, it was just right, I will be returning and recommending to family and friends. Thank you! Support local

Been coming to Zens for 11years. I still love their food. The service is amazing. The owner is really nice. They always ask my daughter. If she wants her food first when we are waiting for her grandmas. Over all it an amazing place to eat.

We have been going to Zen's for many years. We always order the War WonTon Soup. When arrived home we noticed the soup had no shrimp or chicken. Less wontons. We did have a new person who took my order in person. I called back immediately. The manager Was very defensive. Saying I ordered the wrong soup. I mentioned to her that I've ordered this soup about twice per month for years. She mentioned the person that took my order made no mistake. She said, if I come by and give her another $3 dollars, she will give me the shrimp and chicken to add. But she will not redo my soup. AT ZEN'S THE CUSTOMER iS ALWAYS WRONG ! And now they lost these loyal customers.

The honey walnut shrimp was good and the fried rice was also good. The service was a little slow but maybe only because they were busy. The place is diner style with Asian food, hence Asian diner.

Deep fried breading too thick. Mediocre food good value for the money. But just passing though tote so not sure if there is anything better there

It's my first time coming to this place, and I was not disappointed. I wanted a lil snack so I got the pan fried egg foo young, it came with 3 for $10.95 and they did NOT skip out on the sauce! Very tasty dish! The service was great too I will be coming back to try out the rest of the menu!

An absolute must try! We went with a family group of 6 and ordered the family dinner. It was agreed by all that the food was as good as it gets. From soups to fortune cookies it was delicious. The food was not only freshly and expertly prepared, it was a feast for the eyes as well. This will definitely be a new favorite place to eat! The service was excellent and friendly also. I highly and confidently recommend this Visalia gem!!!

They have the best sizzling rice soup anywhere!!! But their chicken salad it's just a regular salad very disappointed on that.

Heard about this place from a coworker. Have ate there twice this week. Got beef noodle soup the first time and it was so good and hot. The second time, I got the sweet & sour chicken, fried shrimp appetizer and my partner got #1 dinner which has orange chicken, chicken & broccoli and double rice. This also came with a side of fried tasty things. The fried cheese wontons are bomb! It is a fast favorite for us!

If you're looking for a delicious meal every time you need to go the the Zen Asian Diner ! The food is always fresh & a Big Bang for your buck !! They're portions are plentiful. They have a big variety of choices. This is one the the Best Chinese food restraunt's in town. You won't be disappointed !

The food was simply delicious. Ordered vegetable chow mein and king pow tofu it was so so good!!! Not greasy at all and it all tasted so fresh! Definitely recommend

Food was not bad. Just okay. Ordered the #1 dinner combo, came with a lot but there just wasn't much flavor. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing there. I won't be going back after seeing my Pepsi come out of a 2-liter. Staff was nice.

Ordered 2 orders of orange tofu and received one order that looked semi normal and one order that was charred and tasted awful. When we called, they did agree to replace it but denied that they were burned. Appreciate that they were willing to give us a new order but we had to drive over twice and food really wasn't good enough to be worth the trouble. Won't return .

I've only been here twice so far. Today I ordered chicken vegetable chow mein and asked that the noodles be pan fried on one side. It was a take-out order and to my surprise when I opened up the box I did get my chow mein but instead of pan fried I got pan burnt. Disappointed to say the least. Their food is otherwise good but having gotten this disappointed me.

I really enjoyed my meal. The food was warm and fresh, the waitress was very polite and friendly as well. Great clean environment. I will definitely return.

I went to Zen during the quarantine to support my favorite Chinese restaurant! Zen by far makes the best honey walnut shrimp in town! I recommend calling in an order with them! You won't be disappointed! The food is as hot and fresh to go as it is ordering it in the restaurant. I will be back. And pick up is a breeze and stays within the social distancing guidelines. Love you, guys! Hope you can make it through this.

We were pleasantly surprised when trying Zen Asian's food. We got pork chow menu, pot stickers, beef and broccoli, and white rice for pick-up. The food was ready in under 15 minutes. All items were delicious. I was expecting mediocre Chinese food but everything was really good and flavorful. Not overly greasy. I highly recommend to anyone trying to find good Chinese food in Visalia. The pot stickers were deep fried and crunchy. Not normally how you'd expect them but they were great. And the pork chow menu was my favorite. They heavily pack the food into the containers so you'll have leftovers for days. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items on their huge menu.

I ordered the chicken chow fun with extra veggies and it came out super delicious!!!! My boyfriend got the dinner combo 1 and I was stealing bites of his food all night. I was a bit hesitant about trying this place for a while bc I didn't want to get the bland and greasy food that usually passes for "Chinese food" but I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely eat here again!

I was disappointed after reading other reviews. I love Chinese food but their style is not for me. I did get A LOT of food but is was tasteless. Almost like it was old or made earlier then heated up which I likely the case as I ordered the #1 dinner combo which included at minimum 5 items and it was brought to my table in less than 3 minutes. It reminded me of microwaves leftovers.

Horrid, bland, inedible, nasty, putrid crappy food, the bulk of which hit the trash. Here's the REST of the story... I placed a $400+ catering order for my mom's wake, and these dummies KNEW it was for after a funeral, with SPECIFIC instructions NOT to deliver before 12:30. These friggin' cheeseheads called me RIGHT in the middle of the graveside services at 12:10 to ask me where I was as they were at the house with the food - on a Saturday! Ignorance gone to seed.

Let me start off by saying the staff is super friendly and polite. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. My issue is that the food itself made us sick within an hour after eating it. I'm pretty sure it was bad meat, my boyfriend was throwing up from it. I don't think we'll be coming back.

Delicious food, extremely friendly service, large portions, great prices. The dining room was empty in the later afternoon on a Saturday which is surprising since the food is so good. Clean dining room, fast service. Will definitely include in our preferred dining rotation.

I ordered the chef special of Singapore noodles Worst representation I ever had this is such a simple dish to make and when it is so salty with spices that are not well sautéed makes for a very poor experience Also tried their salt pepper chicken wings , tasted like it was fried in old oil and the chicken had no flavor to it Peppers and onions were in the plate but none of the flavors got onto the wings I think someone needs some cooking lessons before they open a restaurant

When we want Chinese food, we consistently go to Zen Asian Diner. Reason being the food is always Hot and Freshly Made. Never Greasy. The owners are friendly and want to please. The restaurant is very clean. Highly recommend the War Won Ton Soup. Highly recommend the Szechuan Chicken or Shrimp, If you like Spicy. Highly recommend the Mongolian Beef. Me and my husband always go to zen's when we're craving Chinese food. The food is good and so is the service. Their Mongolian beef is my personal favorite.

In Visalia for one evening and picked up dinner from Zen. I ordered one of their dinner meals since I am traveling alone. The food was fresh and tasty. There was so much food the meal could feed two.

Just ok, had the combination dinner. Fried shrimp was good. Staff was friendly probably won't go back.

Well, maybe it was a bad night last week, but the food was terrible. I promised my wife I won't ever bring her again. We just ordered off the combo menu, and got some French fries for my 2 kids. We left 3/4 of the food on the plates and didn't want to take any of it home. It was terrible. Panda and the place in the mall do a better job. Flavors were off. Stuff too saucy. Service was still VERY nice and place still seemed to be Very clean...so 2 stars is in order. I don't want to see this place go under...just step up the game and make something they're proud of. Can anyone head up to Hunan in Fresno and try to re-create some of their dishes...?

Absolutely recommend this place. Everything I have tried is really good. I love the honey walnut shrimp, friend shrimp and pot stickers. The noodles and fried rice are delicious as well.

Our togo Chinese place in town. The combo specials are such a great deal and its perfect for my kiddos because it comes with so many options. I love the wonton soup and orange chicken here! But my favorite dish is the Chow Fun noodles with gravy...reminds me of goin to dim sum places! So good.

Amazing place to eat for almost any occasion! Staff are attentive and always very friendly. This restaurant has it's own unique flavor that keeps drawing you in time and time again. Definitely recommend the chow main, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, walnut shrimp, with an appetizer plate. All previously listed except the walnut shrimp are included in the dinner combination #1 plate! It's definitely affordable and worth every penny. I reccomend this place to everyone I know and all end up loving it!
