Delicious curry! Enjoyed the pork and chicken katsu. Wonderful attentive service. The naan wasn’t great. Felt like it was grocery store naan that was microwaved but loved the fried gyoza. Fried egg was overcooked and more so steamed rather than fried. Not a huge deal. Pretty expensive but it’s to be expected. Nice clean and attractive atmosphere. Overall very happy with our meals and the friendly phenomenal service.

Google
I had the pork katsu curry with cheese and it was delicious! We also ordered gyoza which were good too. The spice was just right, I only got level 4 (out of 10) and they definitely aren’t afraid to add heat!

Google
This place is good, not great. There aren't a lot of Japanese style curry places around so I'm grateful this exists, but the food is just good. I grew up in Japan and we ate this one a week in school, so it satisfies but the recipe should be revisited. They should spruce it up or have other options than just the spice level. Service is good and the place is calm and usually quiet. So, yes we will keep coming here from time to time but there is surely room for improvement for the price we pay.

Google
This place is awesome, great food, great prices, great service. They came and checked on us multiple times and filled our glasses, my cup never got close to empty. I love service like that. I asked if they could make my dog a treat of some scrambled eggs and rice to go and they obliged, no problem.

Google
My family loves this place! Even my picky eaters talk about how good the food is while they are eating, which says a lot. The service is always so good, quick and kind. Their horchata is the best I've ever had, and their Hibiscus tea is also a go-to. End with mandarin jelly or honey toast. Yum!

Google
When on business in Las Vegas I enjoy something different and Zen Curry is great! Their original location is in a small parking lot, and sometimes I would have to go back later just to park. This is their NEW West side location. Plenty of parking, brand new interior and amazing staff! Plus the food is AMAZING! A friend turned me onto them about 2 years ago and I have never had a bad meal or experience. This new location is near the hotel I always use. So I will be back! Want something different, then stop by and check this place out! You will not be disappointed!!

Google
This is a neighborhood place that is unassuming. In fact, I probably passed by it for months not realizing it was there until I was craving Japanese curry. The menu is simple but it gives you lots of options to customize your plate and spice level. It's a clean, nice atmosphere and I would definitely classify this as comfort food. I had the white rice with veggies and fried tofu at spice level 4 and it was delicious. I also had the fried Shumai and they were really good. My friend had the Kushi with his curry and really liked it. It is now one of my go-to places. I would say it's worthy of 4 stars but honestly I didn't find any reason not to give it 5 except that some people will think it seems too simple. I added the menu so you can see the options. I hope you like it as much as I did!

Google
We love that curry zen west serves morning curry. We work nights and it's nice getting dinner food in the morning. Angel remembers us evertime we come and is so welcoming.

Yelp
I had such a great experience at Curry Zen, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Angel. From the moment we walked in, she made us feel welcome with a warm smile and friendly energy. She was super attentive without being overbearing and made excellent recommendations--seriously, the curry she suggested was perfect. What really stood out was how genuine and kind she was. You could tell she really cared about our experience and wanted us to enjoy the meal.

Yelp
Create Your Own Curry: large, with brown rice, spice level 5, and tofu katsu, was $17.70 from the dine-in menu. It was prepared with no vegetables, but could be added for an additional $3.50 ($21.20 total). The tofu katsu was good, but I could have eaten more, which is available for an additional $4.00 ($25.20). So, when you really get down to it, their pricing is expensive. Vegetables should be automatic, not an extra fee. This penalizes, rather than encourages, vegetable consumption from their menu. The curry is served with a surprising amount of sauce, which I think would be an extra amount for an additional price. I would rather have a regular amount of sauce with mushrooms or vegetables added to it with no extra price. I asked if the Spicy Miso Ramen was made with vegan broth, but our server didn't know the answer, and a manager wasn't available to get that information from. For dessert, we had sorbet, for $4 each. It was served in the plastic container, which we had to open ourselves. I could just go to the store, purchase that myself, and eat it at home. It doesn't make sense for a restaurant to serve a packaged food item directly from the store shelf. The food itself is very good. They are generous with the curry sauce. The dine-in service was great. The restaurant is casual, but lacks elegant decor to help justify the high pricing.

Yelp
Super friendly service from their team! I got the Chicken Katsu Curry level 3 which was just enough spice. Unfortunately the chicken was way overcooked and tough. The Shoyu Ramen was good. The interior is cutely decorated a d inviting.

Yelp
K and I went for a weekend lunch. Pretty busy but we were able to get a table right away. First time here so we weren't sure what to try but went with shumai and karaage as appetizer. Shumai was solid but karaage was delicious and I really enjoyed it. I didn't use the spicy mayo since the chicken was very tasty on its own. K got the curry moco with level 4. It was a little hotter than he expected but he still ate most of it and had some leftover to take home. I got the katsudon with the chicken substituted. It was good but I don't know why I didn't get something with curry since it was my first time there lol (I'm usually a mild so I couldn't try K's curry loco). We will definitely visit again so I'll be sure to get a curry dish!

Yelp
Open spacing and very cute decor in the store. The booth seat were comfortable and service was really quick. Food was even quicker as well, they offer mostly curry but also have some sides like sushi rolls and ramen. And now they offer a Japanese style breakfast from 9-1pm I believe, I went too late in the day to try it but it did look good. I ordered my usual curry of beef with white rice and lvl 8 spice. It holds a kick but not enough to make me cry! a 10/10 as usual!

Yelp
Never like Japanese curry. But this time I have changed my opinion. I had the curry ramen and it was delicious. The curry was added quite a bit of sweetness and it worked really well with the spiciness. Japanese curry usually doesn't have much kick nor aroma but this added a lot of flavor, also Japanese spicy ramen usually is simply spicy (even spicy curry ramen), it would have been so spicy that I would sweat but it was still just spicy. The chicken Katsu was over fried, would have been better with pork katsu.

Yelp
I love their Pork Katsu Curry! Service is always super friendly and yesterday the lady on the phone and in person was super friendly! And also their entire staff. It's always pleasant experience when I come here. My food was ready when I arrived. I only ordered a 2 spicy level and it's too spicy for me, but I'm pretty weak when it comes to spice. The place was clean and quiet. Their pickled radish is also pretty good and tasty.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town but the service was GREAT. They asked me if it was first time or if I was coming back from other location. The server and on-site manager were so cordial and personable with the customer service that they were providing. While I was waiting, the server gave me the restaurant's new hibiscus drink on the house as a welcome. It doesn't stop there, although I got the basic curry, it was one of the BEST curries I tried at a restaurant, didn't have high expectations with how simple my order was but the sauce alone speaks volumes with how savoury it was and with the right amount of kick for spice. I closed it all up with a tiramisu which was topped with a coffee bean on top and it is a delightful way to balance out the palette after curry and despite its small(er) size, is something I would order again. Biggest regret is not being able to come back here for a while and try the speciality curry that was recommended. 10/10 Will visit again next time in Vegas Great job to the team!!

Yelp
TL;DR came here only for honey toast and it was heavenly. The decor was phenomenal. I really like the tables here. Don't care how weird I sound. Angel was my waiter - she is amazing!!! I am a minute drive away from Cheongdam's Curry-Ya... and I'm mad that I'll be driving here instead just for dessert (maybe I'll get curry, too haha)

Yelp
Comfort food at its finest! I came to Zen Curry on a cold & rainy day which just hit differently. The inside is welcoming tables for dine in or a convenient take out counter. I came with a group so we were able to try quite a few different things. My favorites were the curry ramen, katsu don & curry ramen. The curry was rich & flavorful and I'm drooling just thinking about it again. The prices were very reasonable and I thought the portions were as well. I would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Not bad! Went here with my husband to get chicken katsu curry and ramen. I know, I know it's not a ramen place but it was calling my name! My chicken katsu was delicious and the curry was too. The ramen wasn't the best but it was still pretty good. Large portions! The ramen was reasonably priced. The curry seemed a bit pricey too me, but for its quantity, it's not bad. The staff was nice and the food came out quick. I'll be back!

Yelp
I'm happy that Zen Curry opened on this side of town because they are the best! We used to visit the Chinatown location frequently, but avoided the one on Rainbow because their quality went downhill. They still have the best tasting curry in the city. Thankfully, it is just as good as the one on Spring Mountain. Isn't it weird how the food at different locations of the same restaurant can taste so different? Not to worry, it's the same curry, same toppings and I appreciate that there are 3 different sizes to avoid wasting food. If I don't eat everything off my plate, I'm definitely not going to take home soggy curry rice. What I also love about this location is that they have ramen on their menu! Our favorite ramen shop in the area closed down a few years ago, and there has been nothing good since then. However, this is now my favorite curry + ramen restaurant! The miso ramen broth had good flavor without being too rich or watered down. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and they give you thick slices of Char Siu. They give you a pretty good portion of the curry fries and the Honey Toast is great as well. Just make sure you look at the pictures if you order off the ramen menu, because it doesn't specify the toppings in writing. I order everything without onions, lol. The restaurant is very clean and the employees are friendly and attentive. Parking is much easier to find compared to the busy plaza in Chinatown. I have ordered take out many times and the food is still good by the time I get home. We will be back again soon!

Yelp
08/24/24 late dinner and glad they close late. Yelp brought us here. My husband and I ordered katsu Don and pork katsu curry with deep fried shu Mai. Everything tasted like how it should. No wow factor but definitely be back. Drank a Jamaica juice like. It was sweet and tasty. Staff were all pleasant. Restaurant is clean. Food came out in a decent time. Check this place out and give them their support. Good for late night eats especially when other restaurants closes early. Happy eats!!

Yelp
After being exhausted from a workout, my friend and I walked over here for a quick bite. I ordered the deep fried shumai while he ordered a curry entree. In addition to the food being great, Angel was the kindest, most amazing server! Her top tier service made my friend and I's entire day. We were in a bit of a time crunch and only planned to dine in for a short time, but because of her we gladly decided to stay for a bit longer. We finished our meal with a refreshing yuzu dessert sent by Angel. Unfortunately, she informed us that it was her last day working there, but I only hope she goes somewhere equally as great as her. Thank you again!

Yelp
With excellent customer service and nearby my home, I am a happy camper! First timer at this location with a nice clean environment, modern seating and decor, booths, tables, and bar seatings. Todays Order Chicken Katsu w/ Corn, LV6 Spice Kurobuta w/ Curry, LV5 Spice Tofu Salad (corn, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots) w/ Sesame dressing Everything was cooked to perfection with delicious quality food! I can't wait to come back again and bring my family to this location. It's hole in a wall, same place as Sweet Garden (Japanese Cheesecake). Can't miss this place though! If you like spicy but not trying to hurt yourself , Level 6-7 is pretty safe! I don't know many who would get a Level 10 but bravo to you if you can handle it!

Yelp
I had an incredibly great meal here which was unexpected. Their curry base is not too bad in pricing, but if you decide to add stuff like beef (+$7.00) or one potato croquette (+$3.50) or veggies, it starts to add up. We got several items to try: Curry - 4/5 (level 5 had a slight kick) Fried foods assortment - 4/5 Spicy miso ramen- 5/5. (Special menu) Regular miso ramen- 4.5/5 Karaage- 2.5/5. It was a biIt burnt and I wasn't a fan. Was kinda blown away. This is probably hands down my favorite miso ramen in town. It wasn't that watered down, "where's the miso." type of flavor and actually had a reddish brown tint. I wonder if they use red miso. I'll be back for their spicy miso ramen without a doubt. The noodles are semi kinky. Good texture and thickness. Oh and the CHARSIU!!!!! They didn't commit the sin of putting in a piece of pork belly in there. It was actual charsiu that is fatty and good. I hyped it up. Went back. It was still good. Service - 5/5 the guy made sure our cups were always filled. HIGHLY RECOMMEND-

Yelp
A little delayed in my review of Zen Japanese Curry having now been there twice, but absolutely glad to welcome Zen to my hood. Glad to have more Asian food establishments in the area of West Tropicana, let alone Japanese curry. Yummy! To the uninitiated, curry pan (curry bread) is like a hot pocket, but with curry. Zen makes only about 20 a day. Comes with 2 (I think) and are smaller than what you might find in actual Japan but tasty and hot. It's a nice touch to their menu and we liked them a lot. Fried oysters? A hard yes for me anytime I see on a menu. These little gems (small in size) are absolutely delish because as we fried oyster eaters know that the batter can make it or break it. This batter is good because you can taste that the oil that fried it was clean. Me-U is our server and was friendly and attentive in a way that young people are not, so we instantly like her. She set the tone from the moment we sat down and enjoyed having her as our server. It seems all the staff a pretty nice, welcoming and also Asian, which brings some street creed to this spot (LOL!...says the white girl). Anyway, how big, how spicy, pick your protein concept is kind of how you order from the menu. Comes out pretty quick and is relatively decent in our perspective. And portion sizes are large, even if ordering smaller size. Reasonably priced and not fast food, but food fast in the Japanese way things can often be. Not a 5 to me, but absolutely a 4 to me and we will return.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and it never lets me down. Excellent food and service every time. My recommendation is if you think you can handle "heat" in your curry, take your expectations down a couple notches and you'll have the perfect level. My favorite is the potato croquettes, chicken katsu, level 2 heat, and perfect white rice. Excellent and filling. Note that this place is small so if you're trying to get in with a large group, call ahead.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here the day we were leaving Vegas because I was in the mood for some comfort food and Zen definitely delivered. We came around 1:30 it was empty which was nice , service was awesome and the food was great.
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
This specific location (west tropicana) is the best Zen Curry. Food is always 10/10, service is fast and the restaurant itself is much bigger and cleaner than the other locations! They stay open late which is great for being on this side of summerlin, especially if you do not want to drive towards the chinatown area.
google avatar

Lilian H.

Yelp
I got food to go and the process was quick and easy. I got a small curry spice level 6 and it did pack some heat which was good. I got the 3 pc kushi side and I thought it would come with quail eggs but unfortunately they gave me shiitake mushrooms instead. Other than that the food was good and the staff were nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place Great food at reasonable prices American portions, not micro Japanese Owned by Japanese and reasonably authentic My wife is Japanese, so if she likes it must be pretty good

Ben B.

Yelp
Unbelievable. The best curry we've ever had. amazing and well cooked chicken katsu. Massive portion of white rice, we did do the extra rice. but the honey toast was a show stopper. On super thick Japanese bread, it's toasted perfect and it is arguable that this is the best dessert in Vegas. For an amazing value, come here. I would rate it higher that 5 stars if I could because the service was top tier and so friendly, even amidst it being quite busy. The ambiance is also zen and peaceful, with a bonsai tree and other decor to bring you into Japan for your meal.

Lani A.

Yelp
Ordered 4 plates to go... and some side dishes... Food was good and exactly how we ordered it... Only the gyoza wasn't cooked enough... Staff was polite both on the phone taking the order and in person when we picked up the order... Location is good .... Easy to find and convenient parking... Business hours are a plus as well!!..

Yelp
I looooove this restaurant . Amazing service, very knowledgeable of the menu & answering any question I had. But the FOOD! So so good, I love the chicken katsu curry & the takoyaki! 10/10 would recommend
google avatar

Trixie T.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great place to eat Japanese food, look no further. Zen's Curry has been our comfort food for years and I'm excited they opened one closer to our home
google avatar

Eva W.

Yelp
Food here is always perfect! We get the pork Katsu and beef curry. My husband's favorite is the Katsu Don! We got my son the new Japanese breakfast and he loves it as well. The service here is excellent, Angel took care of us and she's just the sweetest! She let us try the hibiscus drink and it's really good!! This place is honestly the perfect spot for office lunches or family meals! Perhaps because of the location people miss this restaurant. This is my family's to go to when we dine out and once you try this place, I promise you it will be your favorite spot too
google avatar

Patil K.

Yelp
Happy they opened a second location closer to home! I do love this place, they have some delicious Japanese Curry! This location is located in a less busy plaza so parking is much easier and the interior has more seating so it's easier to get in and eat. I popped in on a Saturday at around 3pm and there were about 6 parties seated with 1 waiter to assist. He was sweet and attentive. We got seated immediately upon walking in. The food is identical to their original location on Spring Mountain. They have a simple menu that consist of flavorful Japanese curry. I ordered the Curry Fries and they were actually delicious, do wish it had more curry topped off. I also ordered the Curry Pan, it was good with the additional sweet/spicy sauce drizzled on top. I ordered the Naan but do skip out on it, tasted like it was microwaved and was chewy. The star of the show was the Chicken Katsu Curry, it's delicious! Their spice levels do go all the way up to 100 so what you see on the menu (up to 10) isn't what you get. Our waiter was so sweet but it was upsetting seeing him run around all over the restaurant since he was the only one there. He was also the host ensuring all pick-ups and customers walking in were being assisted. Overall the place is great, if you want flavorful food - this is your sign to try! My review is as follows: - Food: 4.5/5 - Service: 4/5 - Ambiance: 4.5/5
google avatar

Josh A.

Yelp
I'm so glad they opened a Zen Curry on this side of town. I've been to all of the Zen Curry locations in town and this location is pretty big! They have bar seating, 4 booths, and a spot for larger parties. The service was amazing, checked in constantly, and kept our waters filled up. They also have us plastic cups for the kids. We got one chicken curry spicy 2, pork curry spicy level 5, one California rolls and miso ramen for the kids to share. The curry flavor was great but we could have gone spicer, so we will try this out next time. We will definitely be coming back
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
We've been indulging at a Japanese bakery that used Zen curry so when we saw that they were opening this place down the street we knew we had to go as soon as it opened. We've been a few times now. The first time was the best. The no spicy curry...still spicy to this wuss. I think my husband ordered a 4 spice level and he seemed to have been struggling a bit. Chicken katsu was delish along with the potato that I ordered. Cooked to perfection for sure but the second time we came back the rice was hard and old, because what Asian doesn't know when rice is old? Everything was a bit cold so it was a bit disappointing. Overall, I think I will try and go back to give it another shot just to see how if it was like the first time I went. Any extras like my potato are an add on and extra $.
google avatar

Sheryllyne O.

Yelp
After my workout at Hotworx, I was starving! This place just opened and even I'm not really a fan of curry, I gave it a shot. Just went to Japan and didn't bother to try curry (and I regretted it). I was greeted promptly and I sat on the counter. It wasn't busy during dinnertime. I tried the medium pork katsu and ebi level 2 spice. It was so tender and had the right crunch! Breading not too thick. Happy with my dinner and I ordered some home for my family They just opened and hope word gets out to het more support. Good food and service. Will be back!
google avatar

Tosh S.

Yelp
The service was top notch, Angel explained the menu and made great recommendations. I'm stuffed! I will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
It's very nice to see a Curry Zen expanding across multiple areas! While the base price is relatively affordable, adding on toppings does make the price add up, but the quality (especially if you've been to their other locations) is just as great. I came here at night and the service was decent. My waitress was very sweet asking if I wanted pickled radish and ichimi (pepper flakes) alongside checking up if I needed water refilled or not. The decorations are nice and unique since they put up jars of various spices they use which I think is quite neat. Overall, Zen Curry West is solid albeit the prices can be quite high.
google avatar

Henri M.

Yelp
I just noticed that Zen Curry opened this location 7 months ago. I wanted to try this place out. The ambiance looks very modern and inviting. The service was great and very accomodating. I kept my order simple to see if it compares to the original location Food: I ordered a basic small plate with white rice and Kurobuta sausage level 4 spice and it was up to par like always. Tofu salad was great an easy appetizer, cant go wrong ordering it. Make sure to scan their review and recieve a mini Honey Toast with ice cream. Ill definitely come back since this location is closer to my ladys house.
google avatar

Hunter J.

Yelp
This place is kinda just ok. It fits into the category a lot of Asian restaurants in Vegas do, in that it's a place that's cooler than it is good. Ambience decor staff all really nice and inviting. Food is just ok though if I'm being objective. I wanted to like it more than I did! I think if you've never tried Japanese curry before this place is a cool and approachable place to kinda discover what it is you like, but once you know that, you're better off just going to other spots honestly. By no means bad but nothing really stands out from other restaurants, and especially isn't as good as making your own at home (it's super easy look up recipe) .
google avatar

Kris S.

Yelp
Really good to have this Curry House closer than the Chinatown location. It's just as good here with their signature multi-spice curry sauce and all the toppings. They even do breakfast here! Being relatively new, it's really clean here, and there seems to be "more booth seating" than the original Chinatown as well. Service was very helpful and friendly! I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Itzel S.

Yelp
Decent options and taste for a great value. The vibe aligns with what it is, a small strip mall fast casual Japanese curry restaurant. The server was welcoming, friendly and attentive. This was the perfect spot for us to grab a quick lunch.
google avatar

Nikole T.

Yelp
First time at this NEW location in the Southwest area close to Summerlin! I've been to Zen Curry in the northwest and Chinatown locations. I've been a fan of Zen Curry for years and tried out their new location with my best friends. Their menu has a special menu and little more variety in their appetizers compared to other certain locations in the Las Vegas Valley. The service was amazing just as soon as I walked in and greeted immediately. The waitress was incredible! The ambiance was pretty big size on the inside for to sit. It was quiet and we were on the only group dining in at the time. Please give this restaurant a chance and you won't be disappointed with the food and service! I HIGHLY recommend and it's definitely 10/10!!!
google avatar

Tina H.

Yelp
This location is much bigger than the one on Spring Mountain, so there's always seating available, which is a huge plus. You also won't have an issue with finding a parking spot here. The quality of the food is just as amazing as the original Curry Zen, with rich flavors and generous portions. I absolutely love ordering the spinach and egg curry with the kushi pieces! The fried oysters are also fantastic. The service here has always been super friendly and fast. Don't forget to ask for a side of radishes and sliced onions; it really enhance the meal!
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
New location on the west side of town. Spacious seating and quick service. Great takeout location too! This location has the curry pan. The Japanese curry here has amazing flavor like the rest of the Curry Zen around town!

Sany H.

Yelp
Food was amazing sausage skin was very thick I had to peel and eat chicken croquettes were very good we got 7 it's was nice and spicy loved it Service was quick and great Ambiance was good

Maria S.

Yelp
Love coming here for lunch, amazing food and service. Especially if Angel is there amazing person. She took the time to memorize my name and my favorite orders. I love their beef and chicken bowl and the gyozas are yummy.. Over all it's always a great experience.

Yelp
Got the Curry Ramen which was delicious. They have great service with very friendly people. It's really nice and spacious in this location as well. I haven't had their breakfast yet. They said they serve breakfast, so I thought I'd upload the menu because I will definitely be trying this next!

Yelp
The waitress angel was absolutely amazing! Very kind, attentive and sweet! Food was fantastic! I love coming here and will be coming back to see her!

Yelp
Always my best place to go. Love the curry even though I am not a person who can eat Spicy because you can order spicy level 0. The curry pan is a must try item. They are limited everyday and it is so good for dine in or take away and enjoy it later.

Yelp
I am so happy that there are more zen curry spots popping up all over town, and I'm even happier that the recipe has remained consistent with the original location. I used to go to the Chinatown location a lot but have stopped because it's just impossible to find parking now. So when I saw this zen curry on Yelp and was in the area, I had to go. The wife and I got the same pork katsu curry and let's just say that food was gone in 60 seconds. Lol The curry is still as amazing as their original location, and we didn't have to wait for a table or fight for a parking spot. Our server was very attentive and checked in on us multiple times in the 60 seconds (okay, that's an exaggeration) that we inhaled our food. I have a feeling I will be frequenting this Zen Curry quite a bit.
