Orlando’s Best New Restaurants | Eater Miami

"Orlando may as well just start calling itself Dumpling City, given the spate of joints specializing in soup, steamed, and pan-fried meat pockets, and Zen, a Jacksonville-based outfit, is luring them in. The show kitchen, where the staff preps dumplings, gives Din Tai Fung vibes, as do the impeccably crafted soup dumplings, from their delicate wrappers right down to the burst of flavorful broth. “Tapas” items like beef pancake rolls and wok-fired noodle dishes are also offered." - Faiyaz Kara

Memorable beyond words!!!! The food is amazingly delicious!! The atmosphere is welcoming, and beautiful, the restaurant is clean and beautiful! Our server Jan was phenomenal, it was our first time dinning here at Zen Dumpling and Jan walked us through the process for ordering. Jan gave us great suggestions. I can’t say what’s my favorite because I loved everything I ate! I loved the sampler soup dumplings, they were full of so much flavor! I enjoyed the beef short ribs, green beans, the spicy cucumber salad and everything else. We will definitely be back!!!

We are so excited to have an excellent Dim Sum Dumpling place near us that reminds us of NYC Chinatown. They are very authentic here and the trend, presentation and especially taste is just as good as the bigger cities. Management and staff was very accommodating and this has been by far one of the best places Orlando has, we are very lucky to have them in Waterford Lakes. We will be returning customers and regulars. Highly recommend this place for a great dinijg experience. The food is amazing!

Google
Wow this place deserves its great reputation! We had heard great things about this place and decided to pop in on a Friday night. We had about an hour wait at 6PM and went next door for happy hour at the Social to wait. Their app kept us very informed about our place in line and even called to confirm our table was becoming available soon. The staff was super friendly and inviting. Our server Danny recommended something we were not even considering- the Zen Chili Wontons - which we HIGHLY recommend! They were a fantastic starter. Everything came out hot and fresh. Definitely a high paced meal with amazing flavor! The soup dumplings are a must, make sure you let them cool first! I can see what the hype is about, we will be back for sure!

My wife and I recently visited Zen Dumpling with a great friend, and from start to finish it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. This place truly delivers on flavor, quality, and variety. We began with the spicy cucumber salad and edamame, which turned out to be the ideal way to kick off the meal. Both appetizers were great and every dish that followed continued to impress. The star of the show, of course, was the soup dumplings. Each variety we tried was outstanding but our favorite was the beef. All had delicate wrappers, deeply flavorful fillings, and soup inside that was rich and aromatic. It’s no surprise people rave about their dumplings and even happily wait to be seated here (usually at least a 20 minute wait). We also enjoyed the General Tso’s and, but for me the standout was the Mongolian beef. This dish combined bold seasonings with tender, juicy beef in a way that felt both comforting and satisfying. Every bite was better than the last. Last but not least, the shrimp fried rice was rich and satisfying with perfectly cooked shrimp and just the right hint of savory goodness. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere had a relaxed yet vibrant energy that made the evening feel special without being stuffy. It’s easy to see why this spot has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. If you’re a fan of flavorful Asian cuisine, especially excellent dumplings, this place deserves a top spot on your list. Highly recommend for date nights, dinner with friends, or any evening you want something truly delicious. We'll be going back for sure.

Google
First experience here and having dumplings. Everything was made fresh to order you can tell by the textures and flavor. I enjoyed everything but what I definitely would come back for is the egg rolls and Dan Dan noodles. The dumplings have so many options and fun to eat. Nice clean and inviting on the inside customer service was attentive and professional. It can get very busy so I would advise to go early to experience and not feel rushed.

Google
We had a fantastic meal here and were so impressed with the quality and freshness of the food! We ordered several dishes, and everything tasted amazing, but the standouts were truly spectacular: Soup Dumplings: Easily the best we've had in a long time—perfectly crafted and bursting with flavor. Chili Wontons: Excellent! They had the ideal balance of spice and savory filling. Ham Fried Rice: Freshly made and incredibly flavorful.

We visited Zen on a Friday night around 7pm. There was about a 45 minute wait to be seated, but once inside our server Kim quickly greeted us and took our drink order. We over ordered due to not being able to decide on a manageable amount of items. I would recommend ordering a few plates each as the food came out quickly. And you can always order more if you want. We had the Spicy Cucumber Salad, Sweet and Sour Baby Ribs, Stir Fried Green Beans, Beef Pancake Roll, Zen Chili Wontons, Braised Pork Belly Bun, Truffle Pork Soup Dumplings, Pan Fried Bao Bites and Beef and Broccoli. All of those were great, but the Pork Belly Bao Buns ans Green Beans were amazing. Highly recommended if you are in the area (or not, we drove 45 minutes!)

Google
I come back here all the time! The food is impeccable and the environment is buzzing with livelihood and happy families. My server Gracie delivered outstanding service with a smile on her face and a personable attitude that made ordering and trying new things a breeze. Love this place and thank you Gracie! (Pictured: Dan Dan Noodles— a must-try!)

Yelp
The food here is good, but the waits are terminally long regardless of the time of day. If you have time to kill, this is your place. If you don't like standing around waiting 45 minutes to an hour, save yourself the strife and go somewhere else. Apparently they don't need the business.

Yelp
Amazing service and food! Neon was my server and he was super kind and helpful. The hostess Carly was also super sweet. Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
This place came highly recommended from a friend. I live in Waterford lakes and was not aware of its opening early last year. This place was more popular than I realized. The wait was an hour for 2 people and so worth it. It's conveniently in the shopping center with more than enough to pass that time. Once seated, service was amazing. It's a simple clean aesthetic. You can see the chefs working from your seats. It was obviously busy but didn't mind waiting for the dumpling perfection. We also ordered to go plates after. The portions were perfect and our dumplings, both steamed and fried were quite tasty and done just right. It is a louder restaurant with large groups and families. However, it is just that good and definitely explains why after almost a year the wait is still that long.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening, and while the wait was long, the experience was well worth it. The Waterford Lakes location gets very busy, which makes sense since the space is cute but small. The food was excellent and a great way to try different Chinese dishes, especially if you're newer to the cuisine. Ordering was easy, and the staff was very helpful in explaining each dish. Being able to see into the kitchen was a fun touch--especially watching the team make the dumplings, which were amazing. I'd definitely recommend coming early when they open to avoid a long wait.

Yelp
Zen Dumpling did NOT miss. From perfectly seasoned greens to beautifully plated bites, every dish was fresh, flavorful, and seriously crave worthy. You know it's good when the table goes quiet for a minute... If you're looking for comfort food with bold flavor and major presentation points, this spot is a must-visit. Trust us!!!!!! your taste buds will thank you. Come hungry. Leave happy

Yelp
Place is not too big and not too small-- busy during both times that I've been. Waited a while for a table the first time (there are tables/chairs right outside so we just hung out there while waiting), then luckily they had one vacant table when we walked in the second time. Place is clean. Kitchen has a portion with a glass wall so you can watch the chefs make the dumplings. Staff were on it both times-- got us what we needed promptly, checked up on us, and offered to answer any questions we might have. There was a good balance of "heat" in both temperature and spice.... and I LOVE food that stays warm while I eat. My favorites are: signature bao pan fried, truffle pork soup dumpling, hot & sour soup, dan dan noodle, and thai milk tea with boba. Fried rice was also delicious. Husby LOVES the scallion pancake, but this one I'm just OK with-- I'm a sauce girly so I need to dip it in the sauces from other dishes like the dan dan noodle/cucumber salad. The QR code on the top right corner of the menu is SUPER helpful with pictures next to each menu item. I also appreciate the cute insulated to go bags. Yelp
If you love din tai fung, this is a decent replacement. Xiao long bao was a hit with the kids...and they love seeing how the bao is made thru the glass. Just like at din tai fung! We went on the weekend during lunch time and the wait was around 20 minutes. Not bad at all. You can walk around the shopping mall while waiting the table. The restaurant is fairly small, but nicely decorated. The Dan Dan noodles were amazing! But, I'm not a big fan of their beef pancake roll. Well come back for xiao long bao
google avatar

Erin G.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and busy! We read reviews before going and made our choices based on other yelp reviews. The bao bites and the truffle pork soup dumplings were our favorite. An honorable mention is the stir fried noodles. The spring rolls and Shanghai dumplings almost tasted like they were frozen from the grocery store. All in all, we will come back but focus more on the dumplings.

Yelp
I was excited that I was able to finally try out this place on my list. It took a while to be seated, even more than the time they originally gave us. You also can't make reservations and can only put your name on the waitlist once you arrive. We all knew what we wanted by the time we sat down and once we ordered everything came out very fast as soon as it was ready. Our server was nice and attentive. Inside you can also see people making the dumplings through a window. My friend allowed me to try the spring rolls (excuse the bite) and it was good. The edamame were great and tender. I really enjoyed the beef soup dumplings and the flavor inside. The passion fruit tea might just be my favorite thing on the menu because it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more menu items!

Yelp
Christmas Day lunch this was one of the few businesses open that day. We were greeted with great hospitality as soon as we walked through the door. Our order was taken and soon after the food came out. Everything was so tasty and hot, noodles were freshly made. We will definitely come back.

Yelp
My husband and I love soup dumplings, so we decided to try this restaurant on a Wednesday night. It was fairly busy, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was clean and the decor created a nice and welcoming atmosphere. Once we sat down, our server quickly brought water to the table. The service was friendly, and our food arrived faster than expected considering how full the restaurant was. We ordered Thai tea, veggie rolls, beef soup dumplings, and strawberry mochi ice cream. Everything was delicious! The dumplings were incredibly savory and we're already planning to come back soon to try more dishes from the menu!

Yelp
The food was sooooo good. I ate here with my new foodie friend and we both were really excited to try the soup dumplings Zen did not disappoint. The cucumber salad was crunchy and cold and delish!! The stir fry and the soup dumplings were hot and good!! The only thing we didn't like was the scallion pancake and we think we probably didn't enjoy it because we just dont understand it lol I've been seeing other restaurants serve the scallion pancake but it comes with a filling of some sort. This one didn't have anything in the middle so it tasted plain to us. I like that you can watch the chefs make the dumplings behind a glass window. They were playing good music. There was a short wait to get inside so they assigned a beeper. This place was clean and organized. I can't wait to go back for more soup dumplings! **Waterford Lakes location**

Yelp
Desperate for Asian food we were so surprised to find this gem offering yummy Asian dishes. Lotsa free parking as it's located in an outdoor mall. The interior is bright and welcoming. Order through the QR code or menu. Service is very good and staff are so friendly. The Xiao Long Bao ( soup dumpling) is like the staple and one of the most delicious cherished items on a menu. If on a menu it is a must order. This dumpling did not disappoint. The steamed basket came out with fresh dumplings. The first bite filled with soup and meat sooo good that you need to savor each taste and bite. The noodle dish with fresh cucumber, meat and cilantro was enjoyable to the taste. The scallion pancake fried to perfection and each layered bite did not need words to taste. Green beans with XO sauce slightly spicy with just a little kick...yummy! Everything was so good! Oh and brown sugar bubble tea...just order it. If ever back in area we will return!

Yelp
We stopped in here while shopping for a break and what a beautiful break it was. It's a cute little restaurant tucked away in Waterford Lakes. We're greeted with the most amazing server and some of the most tasty wonderful treats. The ribs were scrumptious in the Thai tea was beyond expectations and that's all before we get to the dumplings which were just the star of the show. It would definitely come back and visit time and time again! Most definitely an absolutely wonderful experience.

Yelp
3 friends stopped in around 1230 pm for lunch. The restaurant was busy but we got seated in a few minutes. The food and our server was fabulous. The sauted green beans were cooked with garlic and sesame oil . Delicious Really enjoyed the Mongolian beef with steamed rice. Soup dumplings were great. Speaking of dumplings there's a window in the restaurant and on the kitchen side of the glass you can see the dumplings being made.

Yelp
The best way to experience this place is to go with a group, order a whole bunch of different plates, and graze and share. There are a few standard entrees with some hearty noodle soups and noodle stir fry dishes, but really it's about piling up a bunch of dumplings, some fried rice, big bowl of soup to ladle from, and having everyone dig in. I can say the hot and sour soup was fantastic and was actually spicy which was nice.
google avatar

Alexia M.

Yelp
This was a delicious meal. I tried a few items from the menu and really enjoyed the vegetable fried rice and the beef soup dumplings. One thing I appreciated about the bao at this location was the filling to breading ratio. Many times I feel there is too much bread, but that was not the case here. The hot and sour soup was flavorful with a subtle kick that tickled the throat. The cucumber salad was just alright. I have had it at similar restaurants and liked it more elsewhere since the cucumbers here were not as crisp as I would have preferred. I arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening and waited about twenty minutes for a table for two. Since the restaurant is located in a plaza, we walked around until we received a text that our table was ready. The service was friendly, and once the food started coming out it was served quickly and close together. I really enjoyed this meal and would recommend Zen Dumpling to anyone interested in trying it.

Yelp
Okay, this might just be my new favorite spot on the east side of Orlando! I've been wanting to try Zen Dumpling for quite some time now, but I don't find myself in the Waterford area too often. I met a friend for lunch the other day and I was blown away by the food & service! First off, I'm so glad Orlando has gained more options for soup dumplings. Just a few years ago, you couldn't find them anywhere. We tried the truffle pork soup dumplings here and they are by far the best ones I've ever had! We also ordered the spicy cucumber salad, zen chili wontons, and the pan fried bao bites. Everything was phenomenal and I would order this exact meal all over again. It was also the perfect amount of food for 2 people. The cucumbers were so crisp & refreshing with a good kick. I was super impressed by the bao bites which my friend recommended. I was surprised to find that they also have a juicy broth inside - yum! These are a MUST. I already can't wait to go back again. I also heard they're opening an Altamonte Springs location soon - yay!

Yelp
Amazing Dumplings Outstanding Dim Sum Everyone should try this place. Best Dim Sum in Orlando. Cool place with a Zen vibe. Service is excellent and the restaurant has a dumpling making station with a window from the dining room.

Yelp
Went back again everything was amazing again. tried the pan fried bao bites and they were spectacular. do not go without getting these.

Yelp
This was our first trip and we're going back on the 19th so I'll continue the review with that evening's events. We tried the XLB (soup dumpling) w crabmeat and pork, w shrimp and pork, truffle pork dumplings and signature bao steam. The truffle dumpling was my only dislike, but apparently it was just me. My friends loved them. I'm just not a "truffle girl". Staff were attentive and nice. Helped when we needed it. It was busy so there was a bit of a wait for food but once they started coming, it was nonstop until we were done. I would highly recommend this place but open your minds to the other options i.e. tapas and wok options

Yelp
Florida! This was our first stop to eat when we visit Florida. Zen Dumplings was very delicious. We ordered so much food it was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If you want dumplings this is the place to go to.

Yelp
Don't walk. RUN to this restaurant!! OMG everything was delicious and fresh! Been waiting to try this place and glad my wife and I finally did! Great food, Great service! It gets busy and there is usually a wait but it's well worth the wait!

Yelp
I got off a long flight one day, and the only thing I wanted in the world was a soup dumpling. Zen Dumpling recently opened and was getting a lot of hype, so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. We ordered takeout online, and jetted to the store. The store inside was really nice. A nice, maybe Zen, vibe was everywhere, and there was a window looking into the dumpling makers make their dumplings. It was like watching an artist paint the Mona Lisa. Masterful. We get the food back home and get to work. We ordered a few dumplings and some bao, variously fried or steamed. I think there was a beef pancake roll in there, too. And the main event was the Signature XLB Sampler of soup dumplings. Everything was really good! They were all of a proper size, properly fluffy, stuffed with a proper amount of stuffing, which was properly seasoned, the fried ones were properly crisp, and the beef pancake was just a lot of fun, and had a really nice sauce. As for the main event, I love samplers. The world needs more samplers. Especially of dumplings. There were six varieties of soup dumplings on the menu, we got one of each, and I loved it. Believe it or not, I think my favorite was the beef. Something about it was just so nice and flavorful. Probably just how fatty beef is. But anywhere. I was surprised at how good of a price this place was for the quality we got. I'm sure that I'll be back many times before the end of all things.

Yelp
Friends brought us here and I'm so glad they did! Our server was fantastic and I loved the food here. I really enjoyed the following dishes: - Zen Chili Wontons - Soup Dumplings - Broccoli & Onion with Chicken Everything came out hot and fresh. I loved all the flavors. We had soju with our food. We had a really good dinner experience here.

Yelp
Pros: Ordered takeout after a ride home from the airport, and it went so fluidly. You can tell that these guys do these many times a day, ever day. Ambiance was very cool. A nice, cozy little dumpling house with a window into where they're making the dumplings. Very cool! The food itself was awesome. Very standardized and quality soup dumplings. And they had a flight of them! That's my jam. They had a few other great menu items. Crispy gyoza, cute little baos, plenty of nice stuff. Cons: No cons at all, really. I loved it. Tips: Just come here, and order the whole menu. That's the tip.

Yelp
HOLY MOLY. My cousin hyped this spot up all weekend and even though there was a two hour wait we decided it was worth it. And honestly, even though I was starving, it was. Pro tip to show up early and get your name on the list ASAP. Once our table was ready we were seated immediately, we knew exactly what we wanted so as soon as our waitress came over, we handed them the card. I got some hot tea and it was awesome, loose leaf and super fresh. The food started coming out SO quick - they serve as they make which is awesome My husband and I started with the noodles which were flavorful and packed full of chicken. We got the truffle soup dumplings which were huge, had a ton of liquid, and great flavor. We split the beef roll which was okay, but the mini bao made up for it because to be honest, I could have eaten 20 of these. They were the perfect size and SO DELICIOUS. I loved every bite of everything I ate. I was sad when I got full because I wanted to keep eating. The server was so sweet and made sure we were happy and taken care of, although that wasn't a hard task because the food alone was enough to make us happy. I see why my cousin hyped it up. It was worth it. It was amazing. I wish we had one closer to home. Wow.

Yelp
Zen Dumpling in Waterford Lakes is a great soup dumpling place to try! Service: it is a small locale, so keep in mind you might have to wait a bit. To order food, you write a number next to the item you want and they bring the amount you write. Servers are friendly and have good recommendations. Service: 5/5. Food: I have been twice and I cannot stop thinking about the Sweet and Sour Baby Rib Tapa. They were fall off the bone and a great item to share with the table! If you dont know what you want I recomend the soup dumpling sampler! This allows you to try 1 of each and choose a favorite for the next time you come. My absolute favorites are the truffle soup dumpling and pork. Food: 5/5. Overall it is a great place to go and have good food. My only negative would be the price vs food ratio. You will have to spend a lot to be full. With that said I am looking forward to my next visit and try more menu items.
google avatar

Angel W.

Yelp
Taste: 5/5 Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 If you like dumplings, you have to try this place. The soup dumplings were amazing, every bite packed with flavor. It's also cool to watch them make the dumplings fresh right in front of you. We tried some other dishes too, and they were really good, but the clear winner was definitely the soup dumplings. The ambiance is modern and comfortable, and our server was friendly and attentive. Just a heads up, this place can get pretty busy, so you might have to wait a bit, but it's definitely worth it.

Yelp
Loved this place so much the first time - came back with my sisters so they can try it out! They never had soup dumplings like this before (only from dim sum places which isn't the same at all). They loved it so much , we finished everything! 1 hot and sour soup, 3 orders of pork , 1 order of shrimp, 2 orders of the sampler, 1 pan fried dumpling, 2 order of steam bao! I would say though, the steam bao was not as firm this time around. It was kinda mushy from the soup soaking in there for a while - other than that no complaints.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised how good and fast this was! Everything was good. We ordered a lot of food and the price was decent. The service was fast & friendly. The to-go bags are so cute.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Everything we ordered was excellent and very flavorful. I think anything from this menu would be a hit and I can't say that about many places. The staff were super nice and accommodating. The hostess saw we had a baby and made sure we had a big booth for the car seat. Our waiter was very kind and always checked on us. There were plenty of seating but if it's busy I can see there being a long wait. The wait for this food would be worth it however, since everything was great! I will be coming back!
google avatar

Ariann A.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of the Zen Dumpling location in Orlando! The food is always amazing. My go-to order would be the Pork Soup Dumplings (Xiaolongbao) and Fried Rice! The sweet and sour ribs are delicious as well. It is a small restaurant so the wait times can get long if it is busy, but I think it's worth trying out if you haven't before. Staff are always kind and helpful, as well as knowledgeable about the menu!
google avatar

Lubie A.

Yelp
We had the dumpling sampler. It was truly heavenly. You would bite into the dumpling and the savory broth would be released from it. Lifting the dumpling with the chopsticks, one would never know it's filled with broth. Divine, but on the small side, small portions. Quick service though & pleasant space.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place!! Definitely one of my new go-to spots for dinner in the Orlando area. Be warned: you will have to wait! I came with a party of 4 on a Saturday night and checked in at 6:30 and waited 65 minutes. They unfortunately do not take reservations. Waterford lakes is a nice place to have to wait though, I just did a little shopping around and sat outside while we waited as the weather was nice. As soon as we were sat though it was an amazing experience. Our server was very quick and attentive and the food all came out fast as well. We started with some peach soju and wine as drinks and both were pretty yummy. All our food came out sporadically as courses and we were all sharing the dishes. The spicy cucumber were okay, not bad but nothing special. The pork dumplings were AMAZING, definitely my favorite. The beef dumplings were not as good in my opinion. The bao buns were also very good, but I do prefer dumplings more. The karage was also one of my favorite dishes! Seasoned very well. The only thing I could "complain" about here is the lack of reservation system and not a huge dessert menu. The only dessert is ice cream and I can't eat that. Overall, AMAZING dinner spot and I will definitely be back. I hope they expand to the St. Pete/Tampa area soon.

Yelp
We tried this place for my brother's birthday and had a blast! The food was really good. I can't wait to go back again. The atmosphere was nice, we dined in and there were many other patrons there. Our server was kind enough to explain the dumpling options and we tried the dumpling sampler, rice, pan fried dumplings, mongolian beef, edamame, the spicy cucumber salad and the braised beef noodle soup.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
I have been seeing this place all over TikTok! My friend and I had to check it out so we went for dinner. There's a long wait time, we waited about an hour and thirty minutes. Thankfully it's in a plaza with lots of stores so you can walk around while you wait. The restaurant is a bit small but it is cute and you can see the workers cooking. The staff here were very friendly and the food came out quickly. We got the Spicy Cucumber Salad to start and it was so yummy! The sauce was great. We got the Edamame and it was just standard. The Stir Fried Green Beans were amazing! They still had a bit of a crunch to them and the seasoning was addicting. The Chicken Soup Dumplings were good but I was expecting more flavor wise. The General Tsos chicken was pretty good but I would say it wasn't as crispy as I would like. I would come here again to try some other items on their menu. This is the perfect place to come if you want to try a little bit of everything.

Yelp
The food here is so delicious. Expect a wait no matter what time or day of the week that's how good this place is

Yelp
I saw this place on social and since it was a rainy day I had to give them a try. They did not disappoint. Started with the cucumber salad and it was great. Then the food started to roll out. The San Dan noodles amazing the bao bites delicious I just loved trying everything. I would pass on the crab dumpling the beef pan fried and the shrimp dumplings next time. shout out the server who helped teach us how to eat soup dumplings, I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Tried out this dumpling spot recently and really enjoyed it. Very flavorful, definitely not your average dumplings. You can tell they put some real thought into the fillings and sauces. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the soup dumplings. The atmosphere was really nice too, relaxed but still felt kind of special, like the kind of place you'd bring friends or a date. It's a little on the pricey side for dumplings, but not outrageous. You're paying for quality and creativity, and honestly, I'd go back.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with my visit here! I actually haven't had many soup dumplings so it's difficult to compare, but the ones we tried were delicious-- classic pork and truffle. We also tried the beef and broccoli which could've been less sweet but I still liked it. Only thing I don't recommend is the shrimp dumplings. Overall everything came out quickly and it's fun to order with a group to try different things! For 3 people we spent around $30 each.

Yelp
Zen Dumpling is located in a large shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking all around. The restaurant is nice and clean with a modern decor. I thought it's pretty neat you can see the cooks preparing through a large glass window. We were seated right away. Our server, Ernest, was very attentive and polite. We started with a Taro Milk Tea with Boba and a Matcha Latte. Both were good. We ordered several items to share. There is one order sheet for the whole table. You are also able to use the QR code to see pictures of the menu. We tried the Cucumber Salad, Zen Chili Dumplings, Signature XLB Sampler, Shanghai Dumplings, Signature Bao Steam, Shrimp Fried Rice, General Tso's Chicken. I would like to go back and try other items.

Yelp
The xiao long bao sampler tasted the sane except for the truffle. I found it tricky how to take a bite and eat the soup without it spilling which was not the case in other restaurants. Maybe the soup spoon needed to be bigger or dumplings smaller. Service was good and ambiance had a modern minimalist/clean asian look. My friend's beef noodle soup looked good though so I may give this restaurant another try. Located near/on side of the theater.

Yelp
For years, I've been a big fan of Din Tai Fung and always hoped they'd open a location in Orlando. Well, they haven't but this place did, and thank you for that! I happened to be in the area the other night and stumbled across this gem. Wow, was I grateful. There were 24 tables ahead of us when we arrived, so the wait seemed long, but it moved surprisingly fast we were seated within 40 minutes. So please, don't let the wait time scare you off. It's absolutely worth it. Once inside, everything was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was phenomenal. We ordered the fried rice, Mongolian beef, scallion pancake, and the truffle soup dumplings every single dish was amazing. Flavorful and perfectly cooked. I'll definitely be coming back. One small suggestion, if anyone from the restaurant is reading this: how about some dessert dumplings? Maybe something like chocolate-filled ones? Just a thought!

Yelp
Good steamed, pan fried dumplings and baos. I enjoyed the pan fried pork dumplings the most. They were flavorful. When you take a bite you can taste the flavors and broth spewing out. I was slightly disappointed that my steamed dumplings didn't come in the steamed case but I think that's only select dumplings or just baos. I highly recommend you ask your server if you're coming to get the steamed case. The dumplings can get filling so I would recommend sharing with someone and you can order a few different ones to try . The service good and quick.

Yelp
Yum!! I'm so glad this place opened up in Waterford! The soup dumplings were great! The skin was thin and it had plenty of soup inside. I also like the mini fried buns too! You can see them making it in their big window. We had tentative person taking care of us. The inside is pretty cozy and not huge. I think you should expect a wait if you come during busy dinner time but it wasn't too bad for early birds. I
